Any publicity is good publicity, isn’t that what they say? Not for Tate Fontanna. He has a true hate/hate relationship with the media after the circus surrounding his uncle’s death. Now in the final season of his contract, with negotiations on the horizon, Tate can’t afford any bad press. Chloe Smith is a news reporter with a purpose. She needs a “good story” to show she is as good of a reporter as her legendary father. After overhearing a juicy tidbit about the Boston Militia linebacker, Chloe thinks she may have her story. But how far will she be willing to go after meeting Tate? Can these two put their ire aside and accept the feelings blooming between them?
As a new reader of Stephanie Queen, I was pleasantly surprised by this box series. Add the fact that I’m not a big sports fan and I’ll be honest, I wasn’t expecting to enjoy these books as much as I did. Ms. Queen uses witty humor, angst, chemistry, and interesting character attributes to draw the reader into her books. The sports theme isn’t overdone and unbearable for a non-sports fan. Overall, all three books were entertaining and enjoyable to read. I would definitely recommend picking up this series and giving it a go!
