I was so happy to hear that N.L. Holmes created another series in the Lord Hani Mysteries world! I absolutely loved her setting of ancient Egypt and I am truly obsessed with History and mythology! This book took it to the next level and I couldn’t put it down for one second! The relationship between Neferet and Bener-ib is just so pure and beautiful and written in such a realistic way! Every character has such an intense voice, I don’t know how N.L. Holmes does it! I couldn’t have asked for anything more and this book is the perfect one to use when you want to wind down and escape life for a bit! Flowers of Evil also has the perfect amount of suspense and such a well developed story I can’t wait for the next book in this series! Thank you so much N.L Holmes for expanding on this amazing and ancient society! I highly recommend both the Lord Hani and Hani’s Daughter mystery series to anyone like me, who is a sucker for wonderful mystery, history, and mythology all rolled into one! You don’t want to miss out on either of these entrancing series!

I am a big big lover of the supernatural so I was immediately drawn to Rise of The Hunter, Barb Jones fourth installment in this intriguing and action packed series! Against my better judgment I started this book of The Blood Prophecy Series before the first three. Without the prior knowledge of the others this book was admittedly a little hard to follow. Especially since it also counts as the first book in its own trilogy as well, which is so unique! I will definitely have to reread it! Even so, Rise of the Hunter has beyond interesting characters and is entertaining from the first page to the last! It truly did keep me on the edge of my seat! That being said I would highly recommend starting with her first book Queens Destiny! I know I can’t wait to start Queens Destiny and join Ms. Jones on this fantastic supernatural journey from beginning to end!

I had so much fun reading House of Arsceneaux by Caterina Novelliere! This is my absolute favorite genre and I cannot pass up a good Vampire romance, but what I got was so much more! Novelliere beautifully weaves in Creole and Celtic cultures in a realistic and well researched way. She also expertly connects all aspects of this book, from past to future and from vampire to fae! House of Arsceneaux is attention grabbing and addicting, Caitlin and Gage’s journey was so much fun to go on! I loved reliving their pasts! I’ve never read anything from this amazing author before but I can’t wait to read another one of her books! She absolutely nailed it in my opinion and reminded me why I want to be an author! Each book keeps getting better and more intriguing and I can never put any of them down! I highly suggest starting this series with her first book Lost Souls to join Julia at the start of her journey! I really enjoyed watching Julia really get to know herself and her powers in this book. Spankeren writes her character in such a relatable way and with such emotion you can’t help but feel everything Julia goes through. Soul Redeemed has such great world building (as always with Spankeren) with enough action and intensity to have my heart racing. I can’t wait for the next book and possibly the final battle with Valentino! Prepare for wonderfully unexpected twists and turns in this uniquely dark vampire fantasy series! This book is everything you could ever want! An engrossing steampunk supernatural fantasy with high stakes, high suspense, and more than enough intrigue to keep you glued to Jacky and Angé’s story! The sisters play off each other beautifully with Jacqueline’s determination and need to discover versus Angelique’s recklessness and zest for life’s joys! In truth the heart of this story is in the amazing detail that Ef Deal includes, from the setting to the machinery a fascinating and warm picture emerges. I could not stop reading this book. It’s as if each page posed a new mystery. With its unique blend and use of old and new like the diving mask used on the Automaton. As well as the inclusion of the supernatural, like wolf shifters and a mechanical army powered by the dead, this is a book you do not want to miss!

Jennifer Laam uses beautiful language that transports you to another time and vivid imagery that lets you feel everything, including the danger, uncertainty, and fear the sisters face. I relate a lot to Anastasia being the youngest in my family and I specifically enjoyed watching her growth, as well as Olga’s growth throughout the book. I absolutely love books that mix paranormal and mythology so Creatures Of The Night by C. A. King really caught my eye. I was very intrigued to see it had vampires, werewolves, and ghosts as well as demons, gorgons, centaurs, and gods. What else could anyone want in a book! King also has a way of writing that is so beautiful and gripping, for example “ The sun had finished its shift for the day, leaving keys in the moon’s hand until it returned once more.” Her writing made this story have its own heartbeat. This isn’t the first book I’ve read by her and she never disappoints! Zoe is also a real easy character to feel for, having the abilities she does but being stuck on the sidelines. Creatures Of The Night was also so unpredictable as soon as I thought I knew what was going to happen the whole thing did a 180 degree turn and I was taken aback. A book hasn’t surprised me like that in a while. I recommend this book to any paranormal fantasy lover! You will be in for a real treat!
