This third installment of this amazingly addicting series continues the story with Cam seeking answers to his own personal life to help him bring closure as well as further investigation into these antipodes around the world. As a young adult, many will pose questions of their own lives and their significance in the world. This is Cam’s version of his own personal quest in his post-pandemic world. This pattern tends to be cylindrical as an old life pans out and a new one emerges hence the symbolic title of this installment. There is also the significance of relationships and friendships as circumstances of strength, weaknesses, limitations and challenges are brought forth. Simons is quite a gifted author in this series as this story keeps its readers captivated not only about the love story surrounding the chaotic world but in colliding the past and the future purposes of these transportation portals. As mentioned previously, this is a great read for those wanting a good romance story as well as the science fiction and dystopian fans alike.

So enjoyed this!! I did not see the twists coming AT ALL! But I enjoyed them nonetheless! I was happy to read from Freya’s viewpoint in this book! She saw things and experienced things that Cam didn’t and it was refreshing to see her old character come back out. She is pretty amazing!
The thought process to write this book must have been immense! Wonderful writing that I haven’t read in awhile! Thank you, T.S. Simons for putting this out into the world!

Gah.. post apocalyptic dystopia Romance discovery adventure and danger all rolled into one. Cam is on a journey of mourning grief and closure trying to find as much information as possible to share in the future with his son. He’s matured as have other characters in this story and you will follow a journey of re discovery, friendship, danger, and realizing wanting to have information may not always lead you in a positive location every time. This book is best read in order to have a full understanding of why some events are so important to the characters and the full weight of how they impact decisions and feelings. Yet again this author made me think, tugged my heart strings, made me gasp aloud at the thought of what desperate humans might do and even laugh. Highly recommend the entire series!

In this installment of the Antipodes series, Cam has set off on a journey of discovery and healing after the loss of his wife Laetitia when she was cruelly killed, he is in pain and needs some closure, so he heads away from his home, his family and his life so that he can go back to them fully healed and able to be with them completely, so he takes of on his boat. On his naval travels, the first place Cam stops at is Kirkwall and a visit to the community living on Orkney where some of the other women who shared in his late wife’s ordeal live, he cannot remember what happened on that fateful day and so he asks to speak to them when they are ready. In the meantime, he meets up with some old friends and sees how life has changed there over the past year, he is happy to see them and he thinks that they are happy to see him too, or at least some of them are, but he finds out that they are all still suffering too, he knows he has to regain their trust before they will open up to him.
As he introduces himself to the inhabitants of the island he hasn’t yet met, he has a feeling that there is someone in the crowd he knows, but cannot place them, it turns out to be someone who was heading up the recruitment centre where he was chosen when the whole domed community idea was started. As they properly introduce themselves, Cam asks what they have been doing on Orkney and how they ended up there, this leads on to conversations about their role on the island, the portals and everything else they had learned over the last few years and Cam is invited to join them on future trips around the community, to which he readily agrees. He stays with a friend and it is their partner who opens up first and shocks Cam by telling him that the women feared him after his outburst a year ago, but now that they have seen him and he explains his reasons why and his feelings on everything that happened, they can understand him better too. As the days pass and a working relationship with the woman from Australia develops, Cam stays on the island as he waits for the other women to talk to him, he learns all that he can so that he can take the information with him when he gets home. When the opportunity to talk to the women arrives, it helps them all with some closure and acceptance of what happened and Cam is grateful for it all, but nobody is surprised when he continues on his travels past the place he lost his mind to grief and on to another place in Scotland he hoped to find some more answers.
As he approaches the place he needs to go, Cam finds somewhere dry to spend the time he needs to dig for some information, this takes a little longer than planned, but is worth it in the end when he finds what he was looking for, as well as some unexpected information along the way. He makes a few more stops on his travels and shares some of the things he has learned along the way with others who are as shocked as he is, but it causes him to question the friendships he has and others he hasn’t. Will Cam be able to use the information he finds out to look after those he holds dear, or will circumstances beyond his control threaten the life he has come home to find again and will he be able to look on his life and friendships in the same way because of it? This is another journey of secrets, revelations and discovery which keeps you on your toes as you journey along with Cam and those around him, a story you will not want to miss out on.

This is the third book of this romantic dystopian series, and it’s just as gripping as the first two. We are back with Cam Mackintosh, who was left heartbroken at the end of the previous book, and this story follows his adventures, as he decides to leave his home in search of answers. During his journey he faces new challenges and opportunities, and makes new friends. Cam is also reunited with his ex lover, Freyja Jorgensen, making Cam believe that their lives have come full circle. However, Just as Cam and Freyja are settling into their new life, they are forced to defend those they love when their sustainable community is threatened. Friendships are tested when Cam and the others finally learn the horrifying truth as to why they were all chosen. Cam and Freyja’s relationship is put to the test when faced with a diabolical plot, that makes them question everything they value. Another exciting and entertaining read, which had me hooked from page one. I would suggest reading this series in order, as the storyline does continue in each book. The characters yet again made me feel engaged with them, and the descriptive narrative brought them and the setting vividly to life. An enjoyable and engaging read, and I am looking forward to book four.

This book was amazing. It is a great way to continue the series. I couldn’t put it down. There were so many different elements in this story. Ouroboros by T.S. Simons is the third book in the Antipodes series. I would definitely recommend reading this series in order so that you get the full experience. I think this book has to be my favourite of the series so far. I really got into this book and found myself getting completely lost in the story. There was much in this book, it had such an attention to detail and so much going on. I really enjoyed getting to see more about these characters and the journey they are on. Even more so with this book it felt like I was going on the same journey with them, even with it being a dystopian future. I could imagine everything the author was writing and I felt immersed in the book as a whole. This is a brilliant series and this book is excellent. I would highly recommend reading them.

The series has seriously attracted my attention since book 1, the way the author creates this world and the characters that live in it, it’s so real, and it’s a powerful series with a serious impact! This series makes you think, wonder, things we do in this world that we make decisions to form, lead to the next thing…sometimes we want to change those decisions, but what if you can’t? And the reality you live in, is your future?
Each book in the series, has a build up. The author seems to know what we can handle as readers, as I know I constantly am in the want of more! Whenever I want more answers, the answers I seek, are met with more questions. I feel as if I am with the characters as they take this journey in the life and future of the world that they live in,. In this book especially, there is so much character development and changes, if you reflect from the first book, you really cant see it and feel it! This is the impact the author is able to do and is so very clever at doing! Each book I go down that rabbit hole, begging for more, each book entices me, provides fear in a way only such a gifted author can prevail…and most of all the author has created a series that is so powerful that when you close the book upon end, or even a few chapters, the book has captivated your mind ans has left you thinking about the possibility of this series becoming our future one day! The author is simply amazing at captivating my interest, and I am so happy I am getting to read this series! Love it!!!
This book alone is a must read.To really feel the impact that this book possesses, you need to read from the first, you really do. I needlessly need to say, this is a high recommendation from myself who is really entranced by this series and author! Must read for sure! This is more than just a story about a post apocalyptic society and its chosen inhabitants. The author reunites us with her intricate and unpredictable new world. Our once youthful characters have now matured, and we are introduced to them in a new light. So much growth and development has taken place and can clearly be seen in the characters. Friendship, love, second chances, and exploration of the unknown are only some of what is confronted and book 3. Just as amazing as the first two, book 3 shows the true test of time.

The synopsis of this book was intriguing which is why it summoned me to read it. The book does start slowly, but of course that is to give the reader time to understand the world building and the intent of the author. Personally, I enjoyed this book! The protagonist Campbell “Cam” is a delight to read as we can connect with him on a human-to-human basis. He finds himself in world now that is plagued by well a plague. A new virus spread globally that is killing people faster than the nations can fight it. This forces Cam to learn how to live in a world where society is changing in a post-apocalyptic world. Since society is crumbling, he is chosen to live in a utopia of sorts that hasn’t been touched by the virus and its effects on the world. He is joined by other people who were selected based on not only their merits, but what value they can bring to this budding society of people who were chosen to leave Mainland and Mainland society. What I like about this book was again how human the author made Cam. He is given these choices and lessons, that do affect those around him and can have both good and bad consequences. The reader also gets to read about complex love with Campbell and his lovers. This read is also a good blend of post-apocalypse, fantasy, and romance as is intertwines the three. Overall this is a great read.

Cam has been through hell up to this point. He has suffered tragedy, loss and endless drama and surprises. Reunited with his first wife, Freya, and their children, Cam embarks on a journey for closure on how his second wife, Lae, died. Talk about Pandora’s box, many secrets of the geodome societies come to light. Everywhere you turn there are secrets. Cam is completely overwhelmed by this. There are so many decisions to be made by him and by the community he lives with. This book has not disappointed me at all. The final book in the antipodes series, the author has woven the characters together nicely. You can easily feel them and what they are feeling. The plot ran fairly smooth. I did get lost a couple of times but that smoothed out as I went along. Definitely a series you have to try.

After reading the first book in this series, I had to see what was going to happen in the next part of this story. After Cam accidentally discovers antipodes, transportational podes, that transcend people into different regions of the world. He ends up falling into one as he is looking for Freyja, his wife from August. He ends up learning more about the antipodes and its significance during this water infestation pandemic. After he finds out the truth about his wife, he comes to the conclusion of going back to Lewis, the island where he is transported close to Scotland. This is where this story book takes off as he starts settling into his new life at the island and starts moving on from his old life. As Cam and his new contacts get more familiar with the antipodes, its history, the current existence of the outside, and reemerging travelers, he starts to realize that there is a possible chance of other survivors, especially of those who did not enter into the designated pods. As Cam grows into his new life roles on this welcoming, friendly pod, he is constantly reminded of his family and all of his memories with them. Is it possible that they are among the living out there? Should he risk his new life to go and seek answers? This second book takes you into another deeper adventure as well as deeper character development. Even after going through our own reality of a pandemic makes you raise questions of what could possibly happen and how we would react in the circumstances. Then also adding the science fiction mix of transportational podes and looking into the history for some possible answers as to its existences. If you’ve read the first or are a fan of the dystopian science fiction genre, this book is a must read!

This isn’t the first book I’ve read by the author. The Liminal Space is the second book in the Antipodes Series. The author knows how to create a world where the readers can get lost in. This book is amazing and I really think you’ll enjoy it.
Cam is back with the people he’s missed dearly. He and his girl are expecting their first child together. He’s not sure how to handle that and wishes his parents were there. The quote I chose for Cam is: “I thought it was odd too. But if it houses an antipodal point, and it evidently does, then it makes sense, doesn’t it?”
Lae is with Cam and is pregnant. She’s heard of the tales and is happy he’s home. Now she’s got to make him realize that he’s where he belongs. The quote I chose for Lae is: “Yes, if nothing else, the quality of our food has taken a marked downward slide since you left. Don’t tell Fraser I said so. Also, I overheard some men planning a trip into Stornoway to track down mountain bikes like yours. There must be a shop there. They can’t believe that they didn’t think of that before, especially now that the community is more widely spread.”

The gripping dystopian romance set in the aftermath of a global outbreak continues in this second book in the series. The adventures of main character, Cam Mackintosh, who was one of a select group of highly skilled young people to have been selected by Australian scientists, to establish a sustainable island community, continues. Cam is now happily married and content with his new life on Lewis, and is working as an active member of the community. Just as life is becoming mundane for Cam, he learns that someone he loves may also still be alive. Cam decides to go on a journey to find this person, but along the way he discovers the true value of family and loyalty. The bleak and challenging post apocalyptic world is once again brought vividly to life by the authors descriptive narrative, making me feel immersed in Cam’s world. Cam is a very likeable and relatable main character and I was pleased to carry on his journey with him, and am looking forward to the next book in the series.

A great post-apocalyptic dystopian novel! I’ve had this one on my list for a while and I’m sure glad I finally opened it up!
Since this is the first in a series, there is a lot of care taken to develop the characters and setting. It is well-researched, descriptive, and engaging. The world-building in the novel, of a post-pandemic world, is incredible and the character development is excellent. The author really brings life to this story and keeps the reader coming back for more.
The main character, Cam, is endearing and relatable. The author’s ability to fully develop characters, especially Cam, draws the reader in and enables the reader to become emotionally invested in his life and story.

This series is incredible. As I will read almost anything dystopian based, I was eager to pick this novel up, especially after being so hooked to the first installment. I enjoy the way that I have been learning more and more about Antipodes, and all the things surrounding such. The portals included in this novel, the way they believe they function, and historical facts and theories, keep the reader eager to know more, not just for the story, but to take that knowledge and build on it.
One of my favorite things when reading this novel is that it’s one of the only ones that I’ve read with a male’s first person narrative. I occasionally forget that, and get a little confused here and there, but that is my own doing, and it’s so refreshing to have that perspective. I have thoroughly enjoyed following Cam’s adventure so far, and look forward to reading the next installment. There were certainly aspects of this one that I didn’t see coming, at all! Highly recommend.

What a book! So much information is given in this book…. This is a book that you read and you feel like you are learning but you don’t know it because it is so enjoyable. The author does a tremendous job of describing Cam’s personal struggles and his inherent loyalty to his family. I also love that there are other characters lives that are drawn into the mix and their backstory is given.
This book hits you in all the feels! You’ll feel joy, sadness, and deep grief. But the human spirit of hope is never extinguished! Can’t wait for the next one!

The Liminal Space by T.S. Simons is the second book in the Antipodes series. For me this is a series that really does need to be read in order so you can fully appreciate what is happening. I found this book to be just as detailed and well thought out as the first book. I really love how it makes you think about what it is trying to do. It really helps to draw you into the story even more. Even after reading this book I’m really not sure what I would do if I had the chance to do things over. It is one of those questions that I don’t think you would truly know the answer to until you had to decide. This book in detailed and comprehensive and a really great read. I would highly recommend this series!

Cam Mackintosh is back in the second installment of the Antipodes series and he is happily living on Lewis with his family and adapting to the changes within it, he still hasn’t fully recovered from the experiences of going through the tunnels and how his body felt while he did, but he tries not to think about it if he can, but he is more scared by the upcoming change in his life, but as he is listening to his friends advice about the situation, he definitely still feels unprepared. He finds that he reminisces about his family before the virus more as he thinks about them all and what examples he can take from it, as well as thinking about how different his wife’s upbringing was and how that will be useful in the future as well. He is also remembering his last lot of travels to Ireland and the people he spoke to there, especially what he learned from one person in particular about the portals and how they work, as well as who may have created them, it was an in depth conversation, but he now he knows more information, he was able to share it with his community on Lewis when he returned. When he returned last time he also realised that this is where he was meant to be and where his home was, including the woman who was waiting for him there.
As life continued on in the community, Cam is the happiest he has been in a long time and although he has had a lot of work to catch up on in the greenhouses and the orchards, he has been the most settled he had been in a long time too, that is until he bumps into someone and a whole flux of memories come flooding back, he escapes to his spot in the hills to think about what he has just found out and ends up confronting old feelings and learning things that he has wanted to know for over a year, this will hopefully bring some closure to the past, but instead it opens up a whole new can of worms. As a community meeting is called, some more surprising information is announced by a group from another community who have returned from their travels and he learns that there were other communities established in Australia which has less strict requirements and as such that there is a possibility that other people may have survived in other domes, but when a list of people is produced and a certain name jumps out at him, he knows that he has to take another trip through the portal and take a chance to see if this person is still alive, but this means leaving his family and he is not sure if he can do that, however, he is encouraged to go.
As a small group prepares to set off on this new adventure, will they find what they are looking for and discover whether the rumours of other domed communities are true, or will the time Cam spends away from his family be its undoing? The Liminal Space (Antipodes Book 2) by T.S. Simons. This is a awesome 2nd book in the Antipodes Series. I recommend reading the first book to fully understand what’s happening and to get the full effect of the book. Its the continuing story of Cameron (Cam) who is doing well in his new community with his friend Fraser. He has become very happy with his life here but still misses those he lost desperately. He has become very confident of his status and his abilities as he has grown so much. There is still a feeling of missing out on the old way and world. He is trying to make right the wrongs he made in the last life and hopes to teach others that there are other ways to do things to get better endings. This is a very thought provoking read and you will be flipping pages late in the night. Don’t miss out on this great read.

The Liminal Space is the second book in T.S. Simons’ exciting Antipodes series. Set in a post-apocalyptic world, with survivors connected by Stargate-esque portals, this series has me totally hooked! One of the things I particularly like about the series is the opportunity to travel to different parts of the world, which makes it a great lockdown read (if you can cope with the “disease wiping out most of life on Earth” plot at the moment). In this sequel, Cam has grown and learnt a lot. He is confident in what he has to offer to his community, and is learning to let go of things outside of his control. All of the characters are adapting to the new way of life, but also missing aspects of their old lives and wondering if things ever could go back to normal. This series is very much a series for today’s world. As well as themes that relate to our experiences with COVID-19, there is a huge focus on environmental issues and our responsibilities towards the planet. It is a thought-provoking book that I would recommend to young adult readers. It gets five stars from me!

This was such a great read. With everything going on in the world right now, it was a perfect way to emphasize and describe what a global pandemic can cause. The way the author humanized the characters and their struggles with the self and wanting to do the right things was so good.

This book made me ugly cry. Not just the lone tear that I normally shed but actually sobs. The emotion bleeds off the pages and I was drawn straight into the world. I love the writing, so easy to connect with and raw. This book takes off right where book 1 ended and it didn’t take me long to be swept away into Cam’s life. This was not an easy ride and every blow felt so real. The creation of the world, the character development and the whole concept just comes together flawlessly. Can’t wait to launch into book 3.

This is the second in the Antipodes series and I would suggest reading the first book prior to reading the second. This is my favourite of the series (although I’ve read it out of order), and this one made me more emotional than the others. Once again, the story follows Cam and what happens after the events of the first book. Cam is now living on the Island of Lewis, until he learns that someone he loves may still be alive. It was interesting to see how Cam grows throughout the course of the book as he now has a family to look after and all the dilemmas of a community that has to survive on very little because a pandemic has destroyed most of the earth. This one seemed slower than the others in the series but I enjoyed the emotional arcs more. An atmospheric read.

The Liminal Space is the second book in the Antipodes series by T.S Simons. It is a YA, post-apocalyptic, dystopian story; with some science fiction elements, drama, and tension. All in all, an intriguing and thought-provoking read. Having read the first book, I was curious to see what would happen in this book- so grabbed a copy and dove in. Again, as with he first book, there is quite a lot going on, but I seemed to ‘settle’ into this story easier than the first book- which made for a more enjoyable read. That’s not to say that I didn’t have a few issues with the story/developments- but thankfully they didn’t detract too much from my overall enjoyment of the story.

This is the second book in this series, I enjoyed it just as much as the first. This is a well developed book that will make you question whether or not you would do things over. If we did do things over would we make the same mistakes as the first time? For me I don’t think I would as I would not have the things I do now if I didn’t make mistakes. I enjoyed how easy this book was to read and understandable. I truly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it. If you are given a second chance, what would you do?

Another wonderful installment in the Antipodes series. Cam, Lae, Freya and the rest of the groups under the domes return for more adventures. The characters are so well written that they could be your next door neighbors. The whole mystery of the antipodes fascinates me so the series has been attention keeping for me. The characters have also drawn you in because you find yourself trying to figure out who’s good and who’s bad? Amazing series! You really should give it a shot.

This is the second book in the Antipodes Series and it was just as intriguing as the first book. The characters are well developed and the book is easy to read. The story keeps you hooked all the way through as you follow the journey of the characters as they adapt to their new way of life.
Cam has matured in this book and after hearing that someone he loves could still be alive he sets out to find them. The journey is challenging and makes him question things he knows and thinks about love and loyalty. The main question is if given the opportunity to redo life would you take the same course with the same mistakes or would you change your plans maybe for the better or maybe for the worst.
It’s a really thought provoking theme and set in time when the world is destroyed by a disease and only few people surviving its an interesting concept.
