Despite being a relatively short read, ‘A Natural Passion’ is enticing and full of life. Dylan and Kyra have a natural chemistry, and the story itself has a lot to offer. Tammy Mannersly has the ability to craft a fantastic tale with just words—it was so easy to see everything clearly in my mind and to be invested in the goings-on of the characters (and the turtles!). This book has the right amount of drama and tension with a whole lot of sweet!

This is a Contemporary Romance novel and is 90 pages in length. This story follows Dylan and Kyra. Dylan is a marine biologist and Kyra is the new intern. Kyra has found herself attracted to Jake, a fellow coworker, and Dylan has found himself attracted to Kyra. What is he to do? Not only is he her mentor but he is also quite a few years older than her too. So, he waits and watches. In the meantime, poachers have invaded the turtle’s nests and are in danger. This really was a sweet story!

I’m a fan of this author and her attention to detail simply amazes me. This story is centered around the preservation of turtles and poachers. The things people will do for money simply amazes me. I love turtles and found this story to be very well written and rhe authors details made me feel like I was right there with them. Kya just started an internship at Merchant Marine Science Center where she finds herself kinda crushing hard on the boss’s son Jake . Jake is to me a jerk I didn’t really warm to his character as much as I did Dylan. He’s a marine biologist who takes great passion in his job so when yet another nest comes up missing he has to do something. Him and Kyra whom he is in love with set out to catch the poachers. Find out what happens next in this absolute must read. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

This was a really fun read. Going into reading this book I was looking forward to a great love story and it was just that. I liked most that I learned a little bit about something I didn’t know while reading this book. I only say it ended too soon! I wanted to hear more from the escapades of the three main characters!

Kyra Shine is an intern at the Mon Repos Turtle Center. Dylan is her direct supervisor and mentor, he has lots of interest in Kyra and is trying to fight it. Several years her senior, he cannont get her off his mind. Jake Merchant is the son of the owner and founder of the Merchant Marine Science Center. The story is centered around the poaching of eggs from turtle nests. And Kyra being attracted to and pursued by both Dylan and Jake. This is a quick read, but real slow to start. KLH

This book was not for me…. I did enjoy it though. If you are into marine life and turtles then great. Romance yes. A bit of an adventure within the story. I am big on series and this is a stand alone. It could use more depth but to be honest it is a quick and easy read. Light and entertaining. The story is catchy and enticing so I give it four stars. There is a bit of a sizzle in parts. If your trope is student and teacher then go for it! It is a quick and easy read that keeps you entertained.
Sweet contemporary romance with a little bit of mystery that I definitely enjoyed reading. The romance in the story involves 2 men that vie for Kyra’s affections. Dylan is a marine biologist and also I love how he was devoted to preserving the turtle nests at the beach and more mature. Jake, whom is the son of Dylan’s boss, is a bit more irresponsible. At first, Kyra’s attraction to Jake was undeniable, but she also feels more sparks with Dylan. The bit of mystery that happens is whom is raiding the turtle nests at the beach and taking the eggs for their own greed. I really loved this story and how it flowed all together. I loved this sweet romance.
A Natural Passion by Tammy Mannersly is a short but lovely book. It was easy to feel connected to the main character Kyra, a beautiful, smart young woman working as an intern at the Mon Repos Turtle Center. She has caught the eye of two men she works with – the “bad boy” and the “good guy” and navigates through the situation well. The story takes a turn when the scientists and conservationists find that someone is poaching the turtle eggs. This can devastate the sea turtle population. Can they work together to find the poachers and find love?
A Natural Passion by Tammy Mannersly is probably one of the sweetest contemporary reads that I have read in a long time. Not only did Ms. Mannersly impress me with her characters, word building, and plot but I loved that it was based around turtle conservation. Personally if all of her characters are like the ones in this book then I definitely look forward to reading more from Ms. Mannersly. With an amazing love story, a passion for saving animals and so much more how could you not love this book? So if your looking for a short contemporary romance this weekend I highly recommend A Natural Passion.
For a short read this book had a really great story jam packed into it. The authors writing style really flows well. As someone who believes in conservation efforts I really appreciated the efforts of the characters in this story. The push and pull between characters really makes this story stand out as a full length novel would in terms of story and character development. For a novella I actually really enjoyed all the drama, emotion, action and the little mystery. Definitely a story worth the read.
Tammy Mannersly is a good author. She has mastered the art of storytelling. Her details allow me to picture in my mind what is happening in the story. Her characters are fully developed and full of life. In this story, Dylan O’ Day is a Marine Biologist and Kyra Stone is the new intern. Dylan is having feelings for Kyra but she has feelings for other co-workers. To make the story more interesting, there are poachers who bring danger and drama to the story. I highly recommend reading this short story to see if Dylan and Kyra get together and what happens to the poachers.

Another enjoyable and engaging short and sweet contemporary romance novella. Kyra Shine has been interning for a few months at the Merchant Marine Science Centre and already has a crush on bad boy and ladies man Jake. Meanwhile her older and trusted mentor Dylan O’Day seems to be very overprotective of Kyra and does not think much of Jake, but Kyra thinks he’s misinformed, after all they share a love of conservation and nature especially the ocean. Dylan has been an exemplary and devoted marine biologist for years but since Kyra joined the team he has been distracted. He wants to tell her how he feels but being older and her mentor he understands the ethical issues involved. Before he can act however, they discover that the endangered turtles nests which they have been watching over along the coast have been raided overnight. The Science Centre team goes on high alert but following a dangerous encounter with the illegal poachers the team fight to save the turtles before another nest is ransacked. As Dylan decides whether to tell Kyra how he feels, Kyra is finding out that maybe Jake is not as perfect as he seems and that in fact she has more in common with her mentor. This is a heartwarming, sweet romance with a love triangle theme. The storyline has enough action in the plot along with a bit of mystery that I was kept happily turning the pages. The characters are all relatable and realistic and Kyra is especially likeable, I enjoyed seeing how her relationships changed and developed between her and the two men in her life. Set in Australia along the beautiful coast the author made the setting come alive and I could almost feel the sun.

A Natural Passion by Tammy Mannersly. This is a great contemporary romance and I really enjoyed it. Its the story of Dylan O’Day who is a Marine Biologist and he has just been give a new intern named Kyra Stone. Dylan has developed a huge crush on Kyra even though their age difference is drastic. Kyra is not aware of this crush and therefore she has developed a crush on one of the Jake one of her coworkers. She thinks Jake seems perfect but she ends up finding out he is not who he claims to be. Dylan and Kyra share the passion of saving Sea Turtles and when poachers come into play they find out that not everyone has good intentions. Will Dylan find the courage to tell Kyra how he feels? A Natural Passion is a great contemporary romance novella by Tammy Mannersly. I have read several of Tammy Mannersly’s novella and have really enjoyed every one of them. I can now add A Natural Passion to that list. I really enjoyed reading this novella. With most books that I read being set in the USA, it’s great to discover somewhere new as Tammy Mannersly’s books are set in Australia. With a marine biology background, this book is set in the beautiful coastline and has totally piqued my interest in marine biology and conservation. Dylan and Kyra’s story is a bit different as at the beginning Kyra is interested in a different man. She just hasn’t quite realised just how perfect the man she is working alongside, who is mentoring her is just perfect for her. I loved reading how Dylan and Kyra’s relationship changed as they migrated towards each other, realising just how similar they are in their career aspirations and conservation beliefs. This is a very enjoyable read, that although short has plenty of action packed into it to keep you really engaged and wanting to read more.

This was an enjoyable read. First, I’ve always been fascinated with the turtles and watch a lot of nature shows that talk about the conservation of these, so I found this part unique and I loved it.
I’m not super crazy about love triangles normally and I had this one figured out pretty early on, but did enjoy how it all played out. It was a very easy read and left me with a sweet comforted feeling at the end. I really enjoy this author’s books and her writing is amazing so I will always pick them up as I see them. Can’t wait for more!

This is the first book I have read from this author and she now has a new fan. This is a quick and classic romance which I love. I was hooked on these characters from the first chapter. I could not stop reading until I finished the book. I was in love with the story. I read it in only one sitting. I can’t wait to see what this author will write next.
Dylan O’Day is a well known marine biologist in his town. He is trying to save the sea turtles but there is someone that is poaching the eggs. Dylan has feelings for Kyra but he is way older than her. He doesn’t want to break the trust they have but he can’t stop thinking about her. Will Dylan finally tell Kyra how he feels or will they just stay friends?
This was such a fun, cute and lovable story! It was shorter but, as the reader you still got all the most important parts to a great story! The writing that Tammy Mannersly is able to accomplish really pulls you into the story! Not every author can do this. The two main characters, Kyra and Dylan are also so relatable because they are fighting for something they love (Marine life and the sea turtle eggs) and I think that is one of the most relatable things ever! Everyone has something they want to fight for and believe in. That’s what I loved about this story, it was very relatable with who the characters were and I love when that comes across.

A Natural Passion had me hooked from the first few sentences and I had to keep reading to find out what would become of the characters and if the mystery of the raided sea turtle nests could be solved. It was very well written, characters were well described, and the book moves along at a good pace.
The story centers around Dylan O’Day, a marine Biologist, and his intern, Kyra Shine. Dylan is dedicated to preserving and protecting marine life and has devoted his life to doing so. Suddenly his world is turned upside down when he meets his intern, Kyra, who he becomes smitten with. Dylan has never met anyone as caring and down to earth as her before. He finds himself conflicted as he finds himself falling for her but does not want to risk his relationship with her as her mentor. He is also older than her, so he chooses to keep his feelings to himself and keep their relationship platonic.
Kyra finds herself infatuated with her boss’ son, Jake, who has a reputation as being a bit of a bad boy. However, Kyra only sees the good in Jake because they share a love for the ocean and more importantly the endangered turtles. Kyra spends a great deal of time with Jake, much to Dylan’s dismay, and Dylan tries to warn her about him. Kyra chooses to ignore Dylan’s advice and continues to see Jake thinking that Dylan is being overprotective.
When illegal poachers start raiding the nests of the endangered sea turtles the Science Center Team sets out to investigate and save the nests before more are ransacked. Dylan sets out to protect the endangered sea turtles against the poachers and hopes to catch them in the act. Will he be able to save the endangered sea turtles? Will his heart be broken by Kyra? Will Kyra choose Jake, or will she choose Dylan? Will true love prevail? You will have to read to find out!

A Natural Passion is a short story with a cause running through it. I have read a few books by Ms. Mannersly and this one is my favorite. I love stories that have preservation of animals, and this hit the spot. This was a fast read, about an hour and a half, but it was just what I needed on a lazy Sunday Afternoon. Dylan and Kyra have chemistry, but it took a while for them to figure it out. This was a really enjoyable read. Review by @sunbarn

After finding out poachers are targeting sand dunes, the two begin working very closely together to figure out who the packers are. This book is a clean, sweet romance novel. A Natural Passion by Tammy Mannersly – Review by Melissa Saxton
This is a stand alone romance book. This was my first experience reading a book by Mannersly and I was not disappointed. this book explores attraction romance and also covers conservation efforts of turtles. The characters were introduced well and this led to you becoming entranced in this story as you just had to know what becomes of the main character and where her heart leads her as she reflects on what she wants from a romantic partner. this book can be read in one sitting and you will not be disappointed.
A Natural Passion is a cute story. Super relatable. Who hasn’t gone after the bad boy? It contained romance, a little mystery and kept the audience entertained. Tammy Mannersly did a great job telling a story. As a result, I fell in love with the characters. My only complaint is that I wanted more! I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves a good love story. If you love hallmark movies then this is the book to read. Tammy keep them coming.

A Natural Passion is set at a turtle conservation center, the center is trying to protect egg nests along the coast that continue to be poached. Dylan, is a 32 year-old male, who runs the center. Dylan is in love with Kyra, an intern, who is 10 years younger. However, Kyra has a crush on Jake, who is a complete ass. It’s a love story that evolves due to having the same passions for natural life. I thought that the story itself was sweetly predictable. The development of the love story was sweet and I am glad that the good guy won in the end. I would have liked a little more of the story of seeing them together, but at the end you knew they would go on to have an amazing relationship. In the end, it was an easy and easy read that made you feel satisfied at the end.
This was an adorable short story based out of Australia. Although reading it in third person wasn’t a problem, it was hard to keep up with who’s side of things the author was talking about. The switch between the two characters happened back and forth throughout the story and there wasn’t much of a re-intro to the characters. It just flowed back and forth between thoughts and actions of the two main characters. Otherwise, adorable story, fun, quick read. It was enjoyable! I would definitely read this author’s work again!

A Natural Passion by Tammy Mannersly was a wonderfully written novella. I am falling in love with Mannersly’s writing style! She doesn’t use overly large words but instead lets the descriptive words run free. Her novella’s are short, sweet, and quite to the point, but not a moment goes by that you can’t accurately picture the setting!
This book follows Dylan and Kyra as they take everything day by day. Although the plot was fairly predictable, it was not the cliché “oh they get to be together and live happily blah”. This is more focused on the small aspects, the little self doubts they have, and the jobs that both Kyra and Dylan love more than pretty much anything else. A Natural Passion is a must read and it won’t take much brain power to read because it flows so well and as soon as you start, you can’t stop!!! @karenmmarsh
My only complaint is that this book is too short! I found myself falling in love with Dylan the moment he was introduced and then it was this all took place in Australia and he immediately turned into a Hemsworth brother in my mind. I really enjoyed that it was light-hearted and still gave me butterflies sometimes romantic scenes don’t have to be extremely explicit. Just a little hint of cuteness can leave the mind wandering off to explore what the reader wants to happen. I would recommend this as a quick read while on lunch at work and are in desperate need of an escape. This book will have you traveling off to Australia to save the sea turtles and forgetting your normal day-to-day life. I can’t wait to reread it.
This was a book that truly was a wonderful heart feel in more than one way! How could I not enjoy this book? Th writing really helped me connect to the story line as well as the characters, and not just in the sense of who they were but also for how they felt at given moments in the book. It was a good paced read, and was not long before I concluded it! All in all, a very good read to sit back and enjoy!
The book brought on different passions for me. For me, aside from the amazing connecting love story it gave. It gave me something else that anyone who knows me I have a strong sense of passion for, and that’s saving and protecting the endangered wild life. As well as that statement, yes I am a turtle lover so this book’s story line was close to my heart. I loved how the mentor and his well assistant really cared about the nesting turtles. I could see more than their passion for one another in the sense of protecting the sea turtles from danger was a priority for them. I really felt that, and it made it all more realistic for me. I loved how the author put a true issue in today’s world and applied it perfectly within the book!
Aside from the amazing story line with the sea turtles. I loved the chemistry and that passion that basically came like an ocean wave for Kyra and Dylan. Dylan, yes he was a bit older and he was the boss basically being the mentor. I am one who believes true love knows no age. Its just a number. I find not enough authors will write a story about that and I really loved how this amazing author did so with that as well! Kyra was also a typical female. We always seem to want the bad boy, but perhaps the good hearted nice guy can be the bad boy we want so badly and still provide all the things we want badly with a sense of sexiness’ basically as much as we would want and like. Needless to say I loved how realistic the love triangle was in this novel, and the sea turtles and saving the environment was defiantly a beautiful touch that only added to this wonderful amazing story!
Again, this was a must read for sure. I highly do recommend reading this book. As said it is a fast read. And the pace is a good steady amount. The word play and how the story line of the turtles and the love triangle intercept made it just more awesome and heart felt to read. I truly enjoyed it and I will be for sure reading more by this wonderful author. I look forward to more from them in the future!
This was a quick cute read. I liked the plot about being centered around the turtle preservation. I did not really connect with the characters in the story but that could be due to the brevity of the book. I did have a feeling about Jake from the start. Overall, it was a clear, clean plot and enjoyable.

Beautiful sea turtles in book or in movies always get me. This was a wonderful stories wrapped around a preserve. Dylan and Kyra work around challenges such as nest poachers and age differences and a bad boy in the group. They come through stronger than ever. This was so well written and put together. It was a nice quick read. I can say it was original and had some new action. Highly recommend.
A Natural Passion by Tammy Mannersly is another quick and easy romance story that has a great story and interesting characters. I thought the romance between the main characters was such a sweet story. It didn’t start out as the obvious romance but grew into something so heart-warming. The overall story was fun and entertaining. The author built up the story and really developed the characters from start to finish. I love how easy the flow is of every single one of this authors stories. They are the perfect books to just lose yourself in for a few hours, to think of nothing but the characters. This book is as thoroughly enjoyable as every other book that I have read by her and I would definitely recommend it.
