Mission Improbable: Vietnam (A Blanche Murninghan Mystery) by Nancy Nau Sullivan. This has quickly become one of my favorite series. Blanche gets talked into going to Vietnam to help Jean McMahon find her mother. Jean found out her bio mom lives in Vietnam and her father who was an American Solider raised her in the States. Blanche is not excited about going until she realizes she can use this trip to learn more about her father who was also a solider and perished in the war. As soon as they arrive in Vietnam they quickly discover a lot of people would rather the past remain in the past forever. Hitting all kinds of road blocks Blanche begins to wonder if she will discover anything about either of these people. Blanche being Blanche she won’t give up easily and she will find out the truth. The writer wrote this story with such amazing vision I felt as if I were really in Vietnam. I also loved the friendship Blanche and Jean formed over looking for their parents. This has become a favorite series of mine. Can’t wait for the next book!

Tropic Heat (Flamingo Island Series) by C.A. King. I love this author so I was excited to read this romance and I was not disappointed. Its the jilted groom left at the altar scenario that I haven’t read because its usually always the bride left at the altar, anyway it was a fun short read and I feel in love with Daniel. After Daniel is left at the altar his best friend Joey talks Daniel into going on his honeymoon especially since the tickets are nonrefundable and taking Joey with him. What Daniel doesn’t expect is to have a one night stand with a woman and catch feelings for her. Sara just wanted to go on a vacation without any strings until she falls into bed with a key person on the case she is working on. And on top of that she really has chemistry with this guy and wouldn’t mind seeing him again. What I thought was a short little novella left me with big feelings. I loved this book! Read it to find out all the juicy things that happen!

Seraphina (Heartstrings Series) by Brooke May. This is such a fun series and they can all be read as standalones. I really enjoyed this one about Seraphina who ends up on the same guys doorstep for a third time and she is determined not to fail. Seth is a bad boy hockey player that thinks of no one but himself. He doesn’t care about anyone but himself but the thing is his grandma raised him better than that. Marron is just the opposite of Seth, she always thinks of others and she runs a non profit that helps provide kids with financial help for things they might not otherwise be able to afford. When this hockey player shows up to volunteer Marron is not excited. She knows he’s probably only doing it for the publicity. Seraphina is determined to make this match work but she knows she has her work cut out for her. Will the third time be the charm? Read this fun romance to find out!

She has had to give up everything she knows and move to another country. Her Aunt and Uncle are nice enough to let her move in and when they are visiting Prince Naseer’s home Jade runs across the Prince accidentally while looking for the bathroom. Prince Naseer has been in an motorcycle accident and is recovering. He has been very depressed and hadn’t wanted any visitors but something about Jade makes him want her to visit. They become fast friends and not long after it turns into more. They truly love each other but the Prince’s father is not happy because Jade is not royalty. He could see how much good Jade was doing for Naseer but he still wanted her out of the picture so he begins to plan a way to get rid of her for good! Such a good forbidden romance!

David has always been fun and outgoing but his family has noticed he is very quiet and not talking about his fiancee or his work in Africa as a Doctor. During the wedding events David meets Maddie who is a actress in town for the wedding. As David and Maddie spend time together they are really enjoying each other’s company. Their chemistry is immediate and David knows he can’t act on it because of his fiancee. Maddie likes David because he is smart and kind and David likes Maddie because she is sweet and has a great sense of humor. David drops it because he knows that he can’t go further because of his fiancee. Maddie also has feelings for Kilo who owns the yoga studio and is sexy! Who will Maddie choose and will she find her happily every after? Will David finally let out his secrets? This is a awesome romance!

Alien Redemption by Gloria Oliver. This is a great sci fi adventure read about a girl named Claudia who has been judged by her past. The people around her shun her so she disguises herself. She thought she had a good cover but when she applies for a job the Captain of the ship recognizes her and uses that information to blackmail her. The Captain knew she was overqualified so that’s why he blackmailed her. Claudia has to fight the crew and she can never really rest because she never knows when someone is going to try to kill her. She can’t trust anyone so she feels completely alone. The Captain is so dirty and she knows its in her best interest to avoid him at all costs. When talks of a secret mission start and they end up in an unchartered system called the Fringes and they find intelligent life which the Captain plans to use for his benefit. Can Claudia stop him from making the new life species he’s found be servants for the rest of their lives? Read this great sci fi read to find out!

Dreamscape (J.J. Morris Mysteries) by J.N. Sheats. This is the second book of this series and I highly recommend reading them in order. Its the story of Joey and the school she attends. Joey just wants to be a normal college student and after what she went thru learning about the paranormal I don’t blame her. When fires start breaking out on campus and Joey doesn’t think much about it but when she realizes Gwen is investigating she starts to wonder if this is some of the supernatural stuff. More fires are breaking out and Joey is having crazy dreams and she’s not sure what’s going on anymore. This book will grab you by the pants and have you on the edge of your seat the whole time. I loved it! Can be read as a standalone but recommend reading the 1st book to better understand this one!

The young knight, Tolvar, meets Sloane and decides to help her try to find a cure for the curse on her town. Sloane wants nothing more than to do something so that she is known for and not just a cripple. Tolvar wants to become a better man too and with Sloane’s help maybe he can do that. This story has adventure, magic, fantasy and mystery. Such a fun adventure!

A Journey for Dorothy (The Reluctant Wagon Train Bride Series) by P. Creeden. I love this series so much and I’ve enjoyed getting to know each bride thru this series. In this book we meet Dorothy a widow who has lost her husband about 5 years ago. Dorothy is a volunteer nurse after working in the field for 25 years. He best friend is now her dog Scout and she is quite lonely but can’t see life going on after the death of her husband. Her sister talks her into joining the wagon train west to start a new life and get over the loss so she does. Along the way she meets Elias a pastor who has been shot on the journey. She nurses him back to health and they plan to marry to be able to continue on the wagon train because no married couples aren’t allowed. What starts out as a plan to pretend to be married starts to feel very real to them both. Dorothy isn’t sure she can get past feeling like she’s cheating on her husband and Elias knows he has real feelings for Dorothy. Can he persuade her to change her mind?

Carrie’s Flight (Grandma’s Closet) by Lois Wickstrom. This has quickly become my favorite children’s author and my 5 year old nephew agrees. This book is a lovely description of being so close to a grandparent and trying to keep that relationship close. This books teaches that you can keep memories alive by things that make you think of that person. When Carrie’s grandma moves across town she is very lonely without her. Carrie and her grandma used to watch the starlings together so when she sees some she calls her grandma and then she finds some wings in a box that was left by her grandmother. Can she figure out how to fly to her grandmothers? This book teaches you about lots of different birds and the bond between a child and grandparent. All of this authors books have a life lesson in them and the pictures are always amazing as well. Another 5 star read!

Lost Property (The Tom Grant Series Book 6) by Samantha Adair. I love this series so much and I can’t wait for trhe next one. Although it can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading them in order to get a better take on all the characters and what’s happening. Tom Grant has retired but when Operation “SweetPea” shows up at James’ door, Tom is asked to help. Two young girls, Annika and Melody are asking for help and Tom can’t resist. Samantha always seems to bring out the human side of Tom and makes him seem like a real person and not some machine. I love all the characters and the setting is written so well I felt like I was there. This is a buckle up and hold on to the edge of your seat read and you won’t want to put it down. I loved every word. Full of danger, adventure and the ugly side of human trafficking, this book will rip your heart out!

The Cold Kid Case (Sparky of Bunker Hill Mystery Series) by Rosalind Barden. This is such a good cozy historical, mystery. I loved 11 year old orphan, Sparky, who is in the Bunker Hill, Los Angeles area in the 1930s. Sparky is a smart mouthed, spunky, know it all that is now accused of murdering another young kid in the area. Since she is a amateur private investigator she knows she’s got to investigate this because if not she will end up in jail. Sparky meets lots of different people in her investigation and sees lots of things in the area. She is very old for her age. I felt bad for her being accused of something she didn’t do and I was rooting for her. Will she be able to help the cops find the real killer before its too late or will she end up going to jail. Read this fun mystery to find out!

Encounters With Old Coyote by Laura Koerber. This is a wonderful collection of 13 short stories or episodes with the same main character. She’s a 70 year old professor named Andrea or actually Andrea’s ghost. Andrea decides she wants to die in the Nevada desert under the starts. That is the story that begins it all. She also sees a spirit called Coyote and he wants to hear stories of Andrea’s life. The other stories are those…one being a camping trip to Arkansas (which was one of my favs, because I live in Arkansas), stealing a dog and stories of getting drunk on beauty. Andrea keeps asking Coyote about the afterlife and he keeps avoiding it at all costs. Such a different book that I was not expecting. In the final story we meet other spirits and they set the closing of the book. I was very surprised that I enjoyed this book as much as I did! Do yourself a favor and read this interesting and thought provoking book!

Auctioned Surrender (Sinful Duets Book 2) by Via Mari. This author has become one of my favorites and I love all her books. This one was no different. This can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading them in order. This is the story of Bryanna who is a young girl in trouble. Damian has been hired to find her and protect her. Bryanna may be young but she will fight for her family with everything she has. She and Damian were not expecting to have feelings for one another but main the sparks flew. In Relentless, its the story of Dereck & Layla. Layla is looking for her sister and wont’ stop until she finds her. The only problem is the human traffickers are more relentless and Dereck is determined to protect her. There are sparks between Dereck and Layla as well and it will have you flipping those pages. This is such a great duet and I can’t wait for the next one.

This is such a good story and it can be read as a standalone but I always recommend reading them in order to better understand everything. Its the continuing story of Jorja Knight Private Investigator who is from Canada and she is supposed to be meeting her friend, Gabriella in Instanbul for a vacation. When Gabriella doesn’t show up at the airport Gabriella thinks its odd but thinks maybe she got busy. When she gets to Gabriella’s her stuff is there but its been gone thru. When Gabriella doesn’t show up the next day Jorja is super concerned and decides to report her missing. Jorja knows she has no powers over in Instanbul but she can’t just sit around waiting. When a dead body shows up she knows she has to find her. Will she find her before its too late? Read this fun mystery to find out!. I love this author’s writing because I felt like I was in Instanbul while reading.

Unexpected by Laylah Abrams. I truly loved this modern day twist romance. Its the story of Claire Morgan who is a heiress and she has a fake social profile. She is not the air headed, shallow girl that she leads people to believe she is. Nick Holden is a struggling artist/waiter who is trying not to lose his scholarship. When he and Claire meet they don’t think they could ever have a future together because of their vastly different backgrounds. They have so much in common though and the more time they spend together the more they realize they enjoy each other’s company. Nick encourages Claire to enter the tech world she so desperately wants to and Claire helps Nick to beat his artistic slump. They are so good for each other. Will they be able to make their relationship last and go against the society rules? Read this fun romance to find out!

Unclutter (Inner Voice Book 1) by Winnie D Pagora. This is a young adult very traumatic read. Its the story of Tina Lauren who is a survivor of sexual abuse. She is attacked by powerful and wealthy Nicholas Parker and when she stands up for herself it becomes even worse. So all Tina’s life she has been abused by men on different levels. She is so traumatized that she acts out in different ways such as cutting. Letting the abuse get in her head she believes she doesn’t deserve any better so she keeps getting herself into these situations. Rory and Jai are Tina’s friends and they are what help keep her sane. Then she meets Ekon and he is cute and friendly and she actually really likes him. This is a wonderful book full of deeply tragic things but shows that Tina with the help of her friends can survive this hard life she has been given. There are some triggers in this read so be prepared and its also very emotional at times. Such a good story that probably happens in real life a lot more than we want to believe.

Shadowed Agenda: An Enemies to Lovers Action-Packed Romantic Suspense Thriller (Shadow Defense Security Series) by Mavery Ellscott. This is such a good series and I loved this book. Its the story of Regan who is a romance author and currently on her latest tour to promote her latest book. She usually loves tours but this one is different, she’s on tour with her sworn enemy Pavlo who was invited to promote his new thriller. Regan is a single mom who loves her job and child and will do anything to protect her child. Pavlo was excited at first to do the tour but when he finds out his least favorite author will be with him. He just tries to keep his distance and do his own thing until Regan and her daughter become the target of danger. Pavlo will do whatever it takes to keep them safe and as they spend more time together they begin to see they actually have a very deep chemistry. This is a great slow burn, enemies to lovers book.

This is such a sweet heartwarming story about children and their dogs. These books are so educational and fun. My 5 year old nephew loved it and giggled throughout. Porter and Midge are CJ and Lora’s dogs. CJ and Lora take Porter and Midge around town learning new things and seeing new things. The story is done in rhymes and has a sing song feel to it that my nephew loved. Be sure and add this cute story to your young one’s library. It will a great addition.

Dangerous Rhythm (The Echo Series Book 4) by C.R. Alam. This is such a good series and I loved this book! Its the story of Lina who used to be Army intelligence but now works as Security for the rock band Canis Major. Curtis is the epitome of rock star, he loves money, women and a wild lifestyle. Lina is loving this easy job until she gets involved with Curtis. She has been trying to avoid him because she gets her emotions all involved. When Curtis sees something he shouldn’t he becomes a target of the Mob. Lina has to be around him now so that she can protect him from this threat. Lina isn’t strong enough to fight her attraction to Curtis but she has to for the sake of Curtis’ safety. Will she be able to keep Curtis safe along with fighting her attraction to him. Will Curtis ever settle down so that Lina won’t be heartbroken! I loved this book because of the mystery along with the romance!

Orenda (The Latitude Series) by T.S. Simons. This is one of those series were you really need to read the previous books to fully understand what’s going on. Its a really great series but its got some depth. We are back with Caitlin & Gio as they figure out how to make it in life. They have gotten married and had to grow up and find their way. Caitlin has a ton on her shoulders. Motherhood, becoming a wife and an Ambassador are each one equally hard but all at the same time is a lot of pressure. When an old enemy comes back on the scene & tries to ruin everything they have built she has to ask Gio for help and she sure doesn’t like to do that. Will Caitlin be able to juggle all the tasks and will she and Gio’s relationship survive everything being thrown at them? This book will have you on the edge of your seat and reading until you are finished!

It has positive affirmations that little boys can resonate with. The little boys lists all the things he is good at and what he can do. Its geared toward Asian boys but can be reworded in a small way to include all kids. It talks about all the positive ways cultural difference can be great. This book is a great way for kids to get a head start on knowing their worth and not going down the rabbit hole of self doubt and no confidence! The pictures are really awesome too. This book would make a great gift for the young child in your life!

Bad at Being Good (An MM Brother’s Best Friend Romance) by A.L. Morrow This is not my favorite genre but once I read the first page I was hooked! This book is full of romance, love, sadness, grief and feelings of not doing enough. Benji and Kellan are best friends but when Kellan dies and Benji doesn’t save him, Benji will spend the rest of his life feeling guilty. When Kellan was alive he always told him that his younger brother Milo was off limits so he always steered clear but when he sees him and see’s how much pain he is over losing Kellan so Benji can’t take it. He leaves town and tries to clear his head for almost a year. Milo is throwing himself into dance, his one love and barely surviving as it is. He misses his brother so much but also misses his friendship with Benji. When Benji moves back to town and they rekindle their friendship, feelings become more involved. Benji is also having to deal with his mom being an addict so there are some triggers so be prepared. Wonderful story about love,friendship and loss.

Mission Target (Jake Wolfe Thrillers Book 7) by Mark Nolan. This is another exciting addition to the Jack Wolfe Thriller series and can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading them in order to get a better feel for the characters. I have loved this series so much its probably my favorite I’ve read this year. Jack and Cody, his 4 legged companion are in the and both suffer from PTSD. Jack sometimes does things that might be considered illegal but he only does it to save someone or fix something. Jack has found out there is a new drug being used as a weapon against all US Citizens and if Jack doesn’t find out who it is and stop him it will wipe out the US. When women that look like Jack’s girlfriend start showing up dead it becomes personal and he will go covert to save her. The messes Jack and Cody get in are so good and so bad at the same time. I love the writing because I always feel like I’m there in the story. These are the kind of books that you will think about long after you have finished. Grab a hold of your seat and read this amazing series. You won’t be disappointed! I hope there is another one!

Grave Digger Academy IV (Grave Digger Academy Series) by C.A. King. This is the next fun installment in the Grave Digger Academy and it picks up the summer before school is about to start. The old headmistress has left and the new one is Ulva Everbleed. The building is half finished because the Crones shut down construction. The only way you can go back to school is if you received a letter. Makayla is excited to get a letter but when she sees her friends they ignore her. There are lots of changes this year, new headmistress, new teachers and new students. She doesn’t know who she can trust. Everything seems to be weird and unpredictable. Some people have disappeared and some are acting strange. Makayla is being watched at everything she does and she can’t have her helpers this year. This book is full of death, witches, paranormal, magic and mystery. Another great installment but I do recommend you read them in order.

Triple Trouble at Amberwood (The Amberwood Hall Ballet School Series) by Eleanor Dixon. This is such a great young, middle school story but even as a 54 year old lady I really enjoyed it! Its the story of a old haunted school and teenagers what’s not to love! Lauren is back in school and she is still friends with Grace and Rodney who just happen to be ghosts! When Lauren rescues a ghost from a building that is about to be torn down she doesn’t realize its not a good ghost and it brings bad things with it. When crazy things start happening at Amberwood Hall, Lauren realizes she has to find out who is behind it and why. When Lauren starts to figure out it might be the ghost she rescued what will she do? When their big productions threatens to get cancelled will Lauren put a stop to the ghost. Will this be the thing to end her friendship with Grace? I suggest reading these fun books in order just to know who all the characters are. I love this series and can’t wait for the next.

A King So Savage (The Savage Duet) by April Moran . This is such a good, dark romance. This is the story of Ava who is just a good girl that gets used as a pawn in a debt. Ava’s parent’s died in a tragic accident leaving her and her brother on their own. Her brother has always been a mess and never a great brother to Ava. When he owes Kingston, a dark alpha male, money he gives him the only valuable thing he has, his sister, Ava. Ava is devastated her brother would do this to her. Kingston hasn’t made up his mind what he will do with Ava but he loves aggravating her. Her sassiness just makes her all the more desirable. Kingston gets some of what he wants from Ava and she goes from fighting him all the way to a puddle of goo in his hands. Feelings get involved and Ava finds herself doing things she never thought she would. Wanting things she never though she would. She will never forgive her brother for the mess he has her in. Amazing dark romance!

Festive Fates: 11 Spirited Holiday Tales Anthology by SE Smith, Jill Wallace, Eliza Sinclair, Kyndra Hatch, Candace Colt, Natalie Palma, Winnie Winkle, Electra Gajdos, Stephanie Harrell, Pauline Baird Jones, Cassandra Chandler. This is an amazing anthology of Holiday romances, sci fi, paranormal, mystery and fantasy. They are so good and each one has its own story by they seem to fall in line as well. These stories revolve mainly around Christmas but there are some other holiday’s as well. These stories will for sure get you in the holiday mood. A couple of my favorite stories are Unwrapping the True Spirit by Electra Gajdos which is a story of finding the true meaning of Christmas. It follows the Keen family and all of their drama, pranks and family dynamics. Retired, but not Forgotten (A Madison Law Prequel) By: Natalie Palma. I loved this story. Its the story of Madison who is a retired detective and now a private investigator. She had to retire as a police detective due to medical reasons so she really wasn’t ready but has really enjoyed the Private Investigating gig. This is a short cozy mystery. Sunshine’s War by Jill Wallace. This is an amazing historical romance and I loved every word! If you need any help getting into the holiday spirit or just love a varied collection of stories this is the anthology for you!

Renewed (Fateful Justice Series) by Sara Vinduska. This is the 6th book in the Fateful Justice series and I loved it! It can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading them in order to get to know all the characters. Ruby is hiding from her past and her mean ex so when she finds a man on her front porch covered in snow she is leary. The last thing Hayden remembers is checking the fence in the back pasture and that’s all he remembers, how he ends up on this ladies house with a bandage he has no clue. There is also a winter storm so he is stuck at Ruby’s. Hayden finally gets better and the weather clears up for him to leave. He and Ruby exchange numbers and when she packs up to keep moving her ex breaks in and tries to kill her. She runs into the woods and calls Hayden to help her so he takes her back to his house. Neither Hayden or Ruby are looking for a relationship but their feelings are growing. Read this awesome book to find out if Ruby escapes her ex and if Hayden and Ruby make it work!

Finding the End Zone (Game Time Series) by Tam DeRudder Jackson. I loved this contemporary, football romance. Its the story of Jamaica who is on scholarship and will do anything not to lose that scholarship. When she is paired with Callahan, the star football, to do a project she is determined she is not going to get swept up in his charm and good looks. Callahan doesn’t know what it is about Jamaica that is keeping him up at night because she is not his type at all. She knows nothing about the sport his loves and she is very uptight but she is all he can think about. When one of Callahan’s “stalker fans” tries to come between him and Jamaica he is mad. But when they threaten his NFL dreams and Jamaica’s scholarship he is livid. He will let nothing come in between his and Jamaica’s future. Will they be able to make a relationship work because the more time Jamaica spends with Callahan she sees a lot more than football and good looks. Such a good football, romance!
