Dead Magic (The Sanctuary Chronicles, Book 3)
By India Kells
5 out of 5 stars

I loved reading the book Dead Magic (The Sanctuary Chronicles, Book 3) by India Kells. It is a paranormal/romance story that pulled me in from the very beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. I loved reading about the characters of Finn O’Malley and Violet Shaughnessy. Finn is one of the oldest vampires to walk the earth. He finds himself ready to put an end to himself. Then a call comes out of the blue, the one who will have Finn rushing to her side, Violet. Violet is a witch whose parents were killed by a vampire. That makes her question her involvement and feelings for Finn. Both Finn and Violet can’t seem to stay away from each other. There is a definite connection and pull towards each other. They find themselves working together to find out who has condemned Violet. What does the future hold for Violet and Finn? Will Finn save Violet? Will Violet convince Finn that their love is worth living for? Read this book to find out. This is a story that had me wondering what was going to happen next and how it all would end up. I grew to care about Finn and Violet with each chapter that I read and wanted them to be happy. Other characters interact with Violet and Finn who I enjoyed reading about as they are friends and helpful to them. There are surprises that I didn’t see coming as well as some very steamy romance. This is an amazing story that has unforgettable characters. I highly recommend reading it.

A cursed witch.

A vampire on his last mission.

A love that must defy the odds to survive.

As one of the oldest vampires to walk the earth, Finn O’Malley has lived long enough and is now ready to put an end to it all, to seek solace in oblivion. Just as he makes the decision to disappear, the only woman who ever stirred his curiosity, and the one woman he should avoid, calls for his help.

Witch Violet Shaughnessy knew becoming involved with a vampire was the last thing she should do, especially as her parents had been murdered by one. There was something about Finn O’Malley that called to her though, and she couldn’t keep away, even giving him her blood to save his life. Through darkness and despair, her magic cursed, and good and evil fighting for dominance inside her, Violet reaches out to Finn through their blood connection, knowing he’s the only one that can save her.

With the clock ticking, Finn and Violet work to defeat the unseen and unknown foe that condemned Violet, only to discover they are stronger together than they are apart. With their lives on the line and pulled into a world of dark magic, Finn is confronted with all the reasons he longed for death, while Violet makes him realize there may be one thing powerful enough to save them, and give him the will to live after all—love.

Blind Magic (The Sanctuary Chronicles #2)Blind Magic by India Kells
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Blind Magic (The Sanctuary Chronicles) by India Kells
4 Stars

I have read many paranormal books and I’m happy to say that this is an original piece of work. There is romance, intrigue, supernatural beings and mythology all thrown in together. The addition of mythology adds a nice twist to the story.

Sera Dover is an orphaned witch whose power is making her go blind. Ian Macon is a werewolf whose heart has been broken in a million pieces. When they get together, it’s electric. It is also against the law. Each species has to stick to their own, no intermingling allowed. You can be friends but nothing more. Though Sera tries to keep it just friends, the attraction is undeniable. Ian doesn’t care about the law, he knows he loves her and will protect her with his life. With someone trying to kill her, it will take all her friends coming together to protect her.

I haven’t read book one in the series but Ms. Kells did such an awesome job with her back story that I was never lost. There are a lot of little details that are important to the story which you only realize later. It is in these complexities that make her writing so great. This is the first book that I have read from this author and definitely won’t be the last. I’m looking forward to the next chapter in this series.

So, when reading a paranormal romance what are we wanting? Magic? Witches and shifters? And of course, romance! India Kells delivers that and more with this fantastic read. But that’s not all this book delivers and every reader will be riveted until the very end!

Ian Macon is a broken man. With the loss of his mate, he does not see a future for himself. But being the beta of the Asher Pack has given him purpose. But he knows that he will never have that mating bond again and will be just a shell of the wolf that he once was. Until he meets Sera Dover. Something about her just draws him in…

Sera Dover has always known that her eyesight is diminishing. All she wants is to leave her past behind and focus on the future. But when her eyesight is suddenly taken from her, Sera is left reeling and unsure about what her future will now hold. Can she make a new future with these new challenges? And how will the intriguing wolf that she met just before she lost her eyesight play into that future?

I love paranormal books. Something about the mystical just always pulls me in. But India Kells blew me out of the water with this book. From the little details and nuances she delivers to the rich characters, Ms. Kells gives the reader so much more. The story is intriguing with the bit of forbidden romance and air of mystery that floats throughout. This was a wonderful read that left me wanting to go back and read it again and again. If you’ve never tried paranormal books, I highly recommend Ms. Kells as an author to try out the genre. She hits the nail on the head and you will become a fan before you know it!

Blind Magic (The Sanctuary Chronicles #2) by India Kells – Review by Sarah Oakes

Blind Magic (The Sanctuary Chronicles #2)Blind Magic by India Kells
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A great read about independence. Sera is a witch who has recently lost her sight. But her blindness holds more secrets than she knows and brings danger into her life. Dreading the consequences, Sera wants to run but her friends want to help. Will she stay and put them in danger, or risk the consequences alone?
A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns that I just couldn’t put down. Well developed characters like Ian trying to move on from pain and protect people or Sera trying to carry on despite it all. The depiction of blindness and it’s struggles was beautifully done and emotive and powerful and I loved the colourful auras vivid and bright to help her see which was a lovely touch. I also loved the use of the senses throughout with smell and touch and taste and hot and cold as if you were actually there.
Great cast of supporting characters like Finn and Violet with humour the book needed or Hunter as the calm source of reason.
I loved the fantasy nature of the novel with its shifters and witches mixed with realism of coffee shops and libraries which made for a captivating read. The use of magic was spellbinding each time with different powers alongside fast paced action and high stakes for a brilliant read.
Overall, a brilliant read and I would give it five stars.

Blind Magic (The Sanctuary Chronicles #2)Blind Magic by India Kells
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I have to say that Blind Magic is the first book that I read by India Kells. I was pleasantly surprised by what I read, as it had a good amount of Paranormal in it. I went in blind, without really knowing what the book really was. This was also because I haven’t read the first book in the Sanctuary Chronicles. It took me a second to follow along, but it wasn’t a major problem.

I most definitely enjoyed Sera & Ian’s world and all that they had to offer. Their quick attraction, which is undeniable is one that I loved. I liked the author’s ability to create this world, one that the reader can easily get lost within. I definitely enjoyed the writing style, character building as well as the way in which the storyline was portrayed. Definitely a 4 star book for me. I can’t wait to read more by this author.

Blind Magic : The Sanctuary Chronicles By India  Kells is a paranormal romance book, with a bit of mystery, magic, magical creatures and some romance. I was hooked from the first page and couldn’t put it down to I was finished. This is the second book in this series (The Sanctuary Chronicles) but I do recommend reading the first book in this series as there are some recurring characters in this book that we met in the first book and the back story .I don’t think I can explain just how much I love Ian’s character and Serawho we met in book one. Sera is a researcher and scholar whom works at Impossibilities Inc, and is also a witch. She spends a lot of time with her nose in books. Sera is slowly losing her eyesight and expects to lose it completely, but is blindsided when blindness strikes her suddenly. She’s had trouble adjusting to never being able to see again. But she will never forget the last thing she saw,was the dark and quiet intriguing werewolf that she feels drawn to .Ian’s world as he knew it was completely shattered several years prior he lost his wife and young daughter who was killed by the rogue Enforcers. He was mad and broken, alone and bitter towards everyone. Asher brought him to The Sanctuary and gave him a place where he could help others and make a difference doing it.Find out what happens next. I highly recommend reading this book as well as the first book in this series as well. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

This story was filled with jealousy, magic and forbidden love. Sera is a witch and has come to terms that she is blind. This wasn’t always the case though. Now she has to worry about getting around and also if someone would be coming after her for her powers. This story had everything in it. One scene after another filled with action. The author did a really great job with these characters. You can feel the connection the characters have for each other. I really liked Ian. He was so possessive. Like any good wolf should be. I also liked that the author pushed the boundaries when it came to different creatures or otherworldly beings finding love.

Blind Magic (The Sanctuary Chronicles #2)Blind Magic by India Kells
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Blind Magic: The Sanctuary Chronicles by India Kells is a paranormal romance story. India Kells has an interesting story-telling ability that really grabs you in the first couple of paragraphs. There is safety for the reader because you are in your home but for the characters they have to find their safety within their world. There is action, mystery, and magic within the world. Sera Dover is a strong female who keeps learning by reading books. She feels the need to protect others to the point where she will put herself is danger. Ian will go and protect Sera to his death if he has too. You can see where these two have chemistry. They often have situations where they cannot seem to get anything done because of the quarrels. So if they can keep level headed and try not to outdo one another. I love this couple and I have a feeling you will too. I cannot wait to see more in this series.

Blind Magic (The Sanctuary Chronicles #2)Blind Magic by India Kells
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Blind Magic is the second book in The Sanctuary Chronicles from India Kells. I have not had the pleasure of reading the first book, Broken Magic, although now I will be running to do so. It didn’t really affect my ability to enjoy this one though. Kells was a doll and gave us a pretty detailed prologue to catch us up for this one thankfully. This was just that amazing that I have to get my hands on the first as well. I normally don’t pick up books that fall into this ‘category’ but let’s be honest, look at that cover! Yummy, and eye catching. I had to know what was behind it. I am so glad I dived in blind.

In Blind Magic we get quite the story. I must say there was not a single moment that I was bored, and actually several hours that I was the do not approach the reading mom/wife or you may die type. Can you really describe a dark and twisty suspenseful book as beautiful and magical? I think this book qualifies for that, and really can’t come up with a better way to sum it up.

Sera Dover is one heck of a woman. Strong, independent and resourceful, oh and she is one heck of a witch. She will stop at nothing to protect those that she loves and cares about. She will face whatever danger comes her way too. Then there is Ian Macon, the damaged and gorgeous werewolf. He is instantly drawn to Sera. Her light and peace is something his shattered soul seeks out. These two have a connection that will set your kindle screens on fire, and give you a need for a tall glass of water, maybe even a fan or two, if you get my drift.

Of course, there is always danger lurking around the corner in all the great suspenseful novels. What is to come for them now and in the future? For that you must dive into this amazing five-star read for yourself, for I cannot bear to give away any more than I already have! Happy reading!

Blind Magic by India Kells a five-star read that will thrill you. This is the second book in the Sanctuary Chronicles and it could be read as stand-alone, but I would recommend the series as each book is better than the last and I can’t wait for book three, as this series has it all, beautifully written story with compelling characters, drama mystery and enough romance to blow your socks off. Sera and Ian are well written characters and their story will make you fall in love. One of my favourite things about this one was the way there are multiple little stories running through the main one and they all play a role overall its very well done and makes a compelling read.

Blind Magic (The Sanctuary Chronicles #2)Blind Magic by India Kells
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I give Blind Magic: The Sanctuary Chronicles by India Kells, 5 stars.

Sera is a witch who has been losing her vision for a long time. Now she is blind. She has always spent her life in books, learning as much as she can about the magical world. She has been alone for so long, it is all she knows. Then Ian comes into her life and she cannot stop thinking about him. Werewolves and witches cannot be together, it is doomed to fail. But he keeps inserting himself in her life. Can she stay away?

Ian cannot stop thinking about Sera, from the moment he first literally ran into her. Now it turns out she is in danger, someone is hunting her down. He feels like he must protect her. But what about love? He already lost his mate tragically. But she soothes his soul.

This is an excellent paranormal romance/suspense book. There is so much going on, but it is hard to put it down without giving anything away. I can so though that there is not one minute that you will be bored. It is unlike any book I have ever read before. There are many twists and turns, and characters appearing, you will never be able to guess what it to happen next. Ian and Sera are great main characters too. They are very realistic, with emotions and feelings that most people have experienced. I hope we will see more of these wonderful characters in the future.

I highly recommend this book to all lovers of supernatural romance, urban fantasy and those whole like something engrossing and different.

Blind Magic is the second book in The Sanctuary Chronicles. This book can be read as a standalone. I loved this story. The only thing I would like to have wrapped up is what happened to Hunter and Patricia???? Outside of those two loose ends, it was excellent. Even though this book is about Ian and Sera, I’m really ready for the next book because I liked Finn’s character and I want to see how his story continues. This book has a little of everything…action, sadness, drama, mystery, and of course, romance.
Stellar read!
(Also know that if you really bond with the characters, you might tear up a little toward the end).

Blind Magic: The Sanctuary Chronicles by India Kells is a paranormal fantasy and the second book in the series. I absolutely love this wonderfully spellbinding story where all sorts of magical beings, witches and shifters, magic and vampires and the enchanted world that India has created. This is one book I was unable to put down and read in one sitting due to the characters and the plight they faced to save one of their own. There is action and drama, mystery and intrigue that keeps you enthralled because India’s words make you imagine and feel like you are a part of this bewitching story. The romance aspect story was enough on it’s own but the twists and plot made for one explosive and exceptional piece of work. The next book can’t come fast enough.

5-stars

Blind Magic by India Kells is a phenomenally dynamic paranormal read! This is the second book in The Sanctuary Chronicles and my first book by this author, but it certainly won’t be my last. Though I found it easy enough to follow along I would recommend reading this series in order as the character introductions would have already been made. However, even having said that this storyline and book tops my list of favourite paranormal reads!

This book is detailed, intriguing, intense and so action-packed. There was always something going on which made it highly entertaining. I found that the storyline flowed flawlessly with easy to love characters. Each and every character added so much to the story and I’m really looking forward to reading book 1 and the remainder of the series as soon as possible.

I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone looking for their next paranormal read!

Blind Magic, The Sanctuary Chronicles #2, by India Kells is paranormal romance featuring a witch and a werewolf. The author immediately jumps in with this story, creating an appealing story with dynamically different characters. As I continued through the story, I enjoyed the thoroughness the author had in parts of the book, setting it apart from similar books in this genre. This novel is full of suspense and drama, along with the dark moments that are within it. I have read other novels by this author and India Kells is very talented with her character creation, story development and enough intrigue.

This is not my first book by this author but it is my first in this series, I had no problem reading this as a standalone but really do wish I had read the first part of this story because I enjoyed this one so much, and I don’t even read this genre, it’s definitely not something I normally choose but when I saw the beautiful cover and read the synopsis and saw who wrote it, I had to have it. I have loved everything I have read by this author which puts her on my list of, it doesn’t matter what the book is about, if her name is on it..I read it, and that was strengthened even more after reading this.

Sera was an awesome character, strong, brave, and not willing to just give up because life threw some bumps in her journey. I loved this group of people and really want to know more of the history that I missed by not reading the first. Ian was awesome and his story was heartbreaking and how he was dealing with all of that was written so well.

The secondary characters were completely awesome…I loved the dialogue between all of them and I absolutely can not wait for Finn and Violet’s story, I loved both of them in this book and it feels like the story in the background is still building, I really want to know more about Hunter and also Patricia’s status and is there just maybe a future story there???

So I highly recommend this book but I recommend starting with the first as I wish I had done just so that I could have gotten more of a history of this group, so will definitely read that one before the next comes out.

Loved It!!!

Blind Magic (The Sanctuary Chronicles #2)Blind Magic by India Kells
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Blind Magic is the second book in The Sanctuary Chronicles by India Kells. OMG!! This Book, and Series is brilliant! I love everything about it, but especially the wonderful story that completely enchanted me right from the beginning and held me spellbound right through till the end. I couldn’t put it down, because I just had to know how things would play out- so I ended up reading it in one sitting! Ms. Kells weaves a breathtaking Paranormal/shifter story with werewolves, witches, spells, magic, suspense, intrigue, drama, mystery, and a really beautiful romance.
This story could be read as a standalone, but I really recommend reading the first book before embarking on this one, because there are a lot of recurring characters in this book who we meet in the first book, and a lot of backstory and character information is also contained in the book one. Not to mention that it’s an exceptionally good story in its own right. The epilogue at the end of book one set us up for book two, and becomes the prologue in this book.
I am still in awe of all the seemingly small details that are intricately woven throughout the story that turn out to have unexpected connections and deeper meaning later on down the line. The story is so superbly written, wonderfully detailed, with vivid descriptions that help to bring everything into being. I was completely swept up in Sera and Ian’s story and followed along expectantly the whole way through.
We met Sera in book one as she is one of Valeria’s best friends. Apart from being a powerful witch, Sera is a renowned scholar and researcher, who spends a great deal of time with her nose buried in the books at Impossibilities Inc, the specialty store for witches and magical beings, where Sera works. She is incredibly intelligent, loyal, and kind- with a bit of a stubborn streak. She has worn glasses for quite some time, as her eyesight has been slowly failing over the years. She expects that at some point she will lose it entirely- but she is completely unprepared when blindness strikes quite suddenly. It comes as a great shock and she has been having trouble adjusting to never seeing again- especially since the last thing she saw before losing her sight was the dark and intriguing werewolf she can’t help but feel drawn to and would love to look at some more.
Ian Macon’s world was shattered several years earlier when his wife and young daughter were killed by rogue Enforcers. His rage nearly made him feral. He was broken, alone and became bitter towards everything and everyone. Asher brought him to the Sanctuary and gave him a place there, where he could make a difference helping others. Ian is now the beta to Asher’s Alpha of the pack. He is strong, powerful and commanding in his own right, but still a shell of the wolf he once was. His one true mate died- so he will never again find that connection with anyone else, that bond died with his mate. But meeting Sera was like a beacon shining through his darkness, beckoning him into the light.
But one thing I have learned about Ms. Kells is that things are never simple, there are layers and complexities yet to reveal themselves. There is definitely a lot more to Sera and her situation, which we discover and that comes into play in a huge way. Ian can’t fight his attraction, or his protective feelings towards Sera- and even though ‘mixed’ relationships are outlawed by the governing council, sometimes fate has a mind of its own. But, danger is stalking Sera, putting her and all those she cares about in serious peril. She will have to find answers and get to the bottom of everything before it’s too late. But will she have to make the ultimate sacrifice in order to save the one/s she loves?
There were time through this story where I had my heart in my mouth, reading along anxiously as things played out! The suspense, mystery, tension and intrigue were superb! It was so well done, it was like having a movie play out in front of me. There were emotional points throughout the book, that really made my heart ache- but the last few chapters had me literally sobbing my heart out- I was so caught up in everything that was happening, the story broke me and flung my emotions all around the place, before Ms. Kells slowly pieced me back together again…. And I. Loved. Every. Single. Moment. Of. It!
I can’t recommend this story highly enough! You really should do yourself a favour and grab a copy, because you’re sure to love it as much as I have!
The next book in the series is “Dead Magic”- Finn and Violet’s story_ and I am so excited to find out about these two!! This book can’t come quickly enough!!!

Bravo, and Thank you Ms. Kells!

Blind Magic (The Sanctuary Chronicles #2)Blind Magic by India Kells
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

When I first read the blurb for this book I was really intrigued and it sounded a little different to anything that I had read before. I have read something by this author previously so I had high hopes that the writing would be good and I wasn’t disappointed at all.
I thought that the story was really unique and interesting to read. My attention was grabbed straight away and was held throughout the book. I liked the characters, I thought that they were thought out and they developed well over the story. I thought that Sera was strong female lead, she strong, independent and knew her limits. I really enjoyed reading about her. Ian was also a really strong character, not as alpha as I was expecting but I liked that about him.
There were some great twists and turns in the story that I definitely didn’t see coming and I definitely want to read book 1 in the series now!
A great story that I highly recommend.
