This is a story of redemption and true love. The author Thia Finn did an amazing job of capturing the terror that an abused woman goes through. She tackled the terror and danger that a victim faces as they make the decision to break loose from their abuser. This book is full of action, adventure and romance. I was on the edge of my seat from the first page to the last and just couldn’t put it down. Conrad and Callie face so much together and there seems to always be something else waiting just around the corner. I really enjoyed seeing the sparks of hope and the thought of a new life start to grow within poor Callie and push her forward to becoming the person she was always meant to be. Be prepared for this amazing book to take you on an emotional roller coaster ride but it is so worth it in the end.

Kiss Me Before Flight by Thia Finn

No person should ever have to deal with the horrible treatment that Callie did.  What she endured over the years of her marriage were a true nightmare and Ms. Finn did an amazing job in describing her pain, suffering, feelings both good and bad and showing how difficult living in and then deciding to leave that situation is.  It’s so easy from this side of the fence to make decisions and pass judgment for her not leaving sooner.

Conrad is a man like no other, especially as far as Callie is concerned.   He would do anything to keep her safe and he showed her that as well as let her heal physically as well as emotionally.

I felt the despair, desperation and fear that Callie must have felt along with her roller-coaster emotions.

I throughly enjoyed this book even with the sensitive subject matter.  I thought it was well thought out and written and will be looking for more books by her in the future.

Kiss Me Before Flight
By Thia Finn

This book captivated me from the beginning. I enjoyed the fact that the main characters were a bit older. The characters come across very relatable. Callie has been through so much at the hands of her husband and she’s trying to get away. CC has been through a lot himself and when his sister in law asks for his help because her neighbor is in need he is there to help. The attraction between Callie and CC is apparent from the first time they meet but there are more important things to deal with first. I enjoyed this book and I look forward to reading more by this author.

Kiss Me Before Flight by Thia Finn

This is the first book I’ve read by Finn. It won’t be my last. I will also be looking up Samantha Cole’s books. Kiss Me Before Flight is a wonderful read.

Callie is trying to escape her abusive husband. He beats the living daylights out of her. Her neighbor steps in and gets her some help. Will Callie find another chance at love. The quote I chose for Callie is: “He did a number on you this time, Callie. Today might not be the day but soon, very soon.”

CC, Conrad Chapman, loves to fly. When he gets a call asking for a favor. He goes to the rescue and finds a beautiful woman. She’s being hunted by her husband. The quote I chose for CC is: “You’re right, but the decisions are hers to make. We can like them or not, but, in the end, the best thing we can do for her is to make suggestions or offer solutions and let her go from there.”

Highly recommended for Contemporary Romance lovers.

Thia Finn did a fantastic job portraying suspense and pain of an abusive relationship. I had a hard time putting this book down. The characters were realistic, and the struggles they faced were very well-written. The emotions were heavy in some scenes, but that’s what made it such a wonderful read. It was easy to get lost in the tale that Thia Finn weaved with this book. I will definitely be reading the rest of her books.

Kiss Me Before Flight by Thia Finn is part of Samantha A. Cole’s Trident Security world. I was hooked to this story from the first chapter.

Callie wants to escape her abusive relationship and with the help of her neighbor’s brother-in-law that might be possible. Conrad “CC” is the pilot for Trident Security and with their help, he’s trying to help a woman that makes him feel things he hasn’t felt since his wife died. Will Callie be able to escape and will she ever be able to find her independence?

Thia’s writing had me on the edge of my seat wanting to know what was going to happen next. Plus, now I have to know more about this world that Samantha has created.

Kiss Me Before Flight by Thia Finn is a spin-off from Trident Security Series by Samantha A. Cole. You don’t have to have read the Trident Series to be able to enjoy this book. I hadn’t and still really loved reading Kiss Me Before Flight.
The first thing I will say is that this book has triggers. There are particularly brutal scenes of domestic violence and non-consensual sex.
Callie and Conrad’s story had me hooked from the very beginning. The book is intense and really keeps the reader on their toes and fully engaged throughout. My heart just broke so much for Callie and the horrific life she lead before meeting Conrad. I have to say that Conrad is one of the sweetest tough guys you are ever going to meet and I just adored him throughout the whole book. The world needs a lot more guys like Conrad in it.
Apart from Callie and Conrad there is a great cast of secondary characters who bring so much to this book: from the evil Bodine, Callie’s husband to the lovely Jane, Conrad’s feisty sister in law.
This book is very well written and flows very well. The storyline is fast paced and keeps you entertained from beginning to end.
I really loved this book and would definitely recommend it.

Kiss Me Before Flight by Thia Finn is a stunning second chance love story. This is my first read by this author, and it was a gripping, emotional and riveting story, with wonderful characters and a heartbreaking and honest storyline. This story is about violence, brutality at the hands of a monster, unexpected love and rediscovering oneself. Triumph reigns and dramatic scenes are plentiful. This story is about more than just romance. It is about new friendships, finding strength in the most unusual circumstances, finding the path to happiness and building destroyed self confidence. Callie’s faith in humanity is restored when she meets Conrad and the many people who offer endless support and encouragement. Kiss Me Before Flight was wonderfully written and perfectly executed. Often hard to read and deeply emotional, this remarkable tale delivers the message that love can heal even the deepest of wounds and happiness can be found when you aren’t even looking. 4 stars.

Wow. This book has me hooked from the introduction. I have never read a Trident Security book but after reading this book, I have to read the series. Callie is in trouble if she stays with her abusive husband he will eventually kill her, but what is her option until her neighbour decides to her help escape but if she gets away what will she do?

Callie is lost in her world and if she does not get away the worst will happen to her and see wants to live, but the escape needs to be clean and permanent but who can she trust to help her. When a conversation comes up with her neighbour a plan is hatched and Callie feels she can finally get her life back.

Conard is used to being involve in dangerous situations but he is always the extraction to his team when they need to get somewhere or leave, so when Jane his sister in law asks for his help to plan and escape for her neighbour, the alpha and protector in him takes up the mantle to try and help, but as all good things what could go wrong?

This is the first book I have read by this author and what a start to my journey, the story is full pf twists and turns and who could not resist a handsome alpha lead. Although this is a spin off from “Trident Security” this does distract from the story, I felt that I could follow any references from that series within the story, to be honest it just made my TBR list increase.

The chemistry between these two characters is off the charts and the story is a page turner trying to get to the next thrilling twist. The characters were well developed and the secondary characters added to the story. I also loved the way the original author of the Trident Series added the who’s who so you could get an insight into the world with out having read the books which was brilliant. I can’t wait to read more books by this author and definitely the next instalment in this series.

If you are looking for a suspenseful story with a little romance mixed in, look no further. Thia Finn has masterfully done that in this story. The more I read the book the more I needed to read what was coming next. I could not put the book down. Her descriptive writing paints a picture that would stay with me for a while. The characters are wonderful. They are fully developed and complex. Who knew that one can fall in love with a character like they are right there in the room with you. Callie is a sweet girl who is getting out of a horrible marriage. Her ex-husband is an abusive a-hole. CC Chapman is not sure if he is the right one to be with Callie. I highly recommend reading this book to see what happens between Callie and CC Chapman. Trust me is it worth the read.

I thoroughly enjoyed this romantic suspense novel which follows the story of CC Chapman, a pilot for Trident Security. Conrad works for a team who intervene in life or death situations and it’s his job to fly them in and out of danger. However when Jane, his sister in law asks him to help an abused women he feels more of a responsibility towards her than just flying her away from her husband who is likely to kill her. Callie is sure that her husband is going to kill her and her only chance to escape is with the help of her neighbours brother in law, Conrad. Conrad makes her feel like she can actually learn to live again and take a chance on living a real life, but can she also take a chance on Conrad. This is an enjoyable and engaging read where the main characters are both taking a second chance at love despite many obstacles. The storyline is full of suspense, action and plenty of romance. Conrad and Callie are both likeable and relatable characters and the chemistry between the couple does come across in the narrative. I liked how their relationship developed throughout the story, and it’s nice to have slightly more mature main characters falling in love in a novel.

Although I loved the romance around them I enjoyed so much more the depth that they both had. It felt like they were each their own character outside of the other and their connection just enhanced that.
The story was so well written. You are pulled straight into it and the book does not let go until the end. This is a highly enjoyable book and one I would definitely recommend.

Callie is escaping from an abusive relationship with the help of her neighbor, Jane, and her brother-in-law, CC Chapman (a pilot with Trident Security). Given a chance at a second love, Callie and CC go through many challenges thanks to Callie’s soon-to-be ex husband. They overcome so much heartbreak for two mature people. Though with the help of CC’s friends and coworkers at Trident, they soon kick Brodie’s butt. Through this all, Callie and CC realize that they can talk and work things out and trust each other. This is an overwhelmingly emotional book. All the feels. Well written and the author even includes resources for domestic violence abuse at the back. Highly recommend. I just can’t say enough. This is a book you must read. I will be reading more of her work.

Kiss Me Before Flight by Thia Finn is a contemporary romance and second chance story. I just started reading the Trident Security series collection by Samantha A. Cole and when I realised that this story was connected, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. Coincidence? I think not. There is action and danger, abuse, and sorrow and so much more that will have you lost in the flow of this emotionally driven story. There are some hard hitting scenes in the book and if you can get past them, you will unwrap what becomes a beautiful tale.

Violence has been her world for so long it’s hard to remember life without it but she is determined to finally leave that life behind. Helping was one thing he had to do but it became so much more, and he wanted, no needed to be near her.

Kiss Me Before Flight is a Suspenseful Seduction World novel by Thia Finn. This is a wonderful second chance contemporary romance with mature characters, a captivating storyline, suspense, emotion, drama, angst, chemistry, tension, and even a touch of humour.
Thia Finn has taken a secondary character from Samantha A. Cole’s “Trident Security” series and spun him a superb story of his own. I have not read any of the “Trident Security” series- but Thia Finn has definitely sparked my curiosity enough to add them to my TBR pile.
Thia Finn always manages to weave an engrossing story that pulls me in and gets me fully invested in the characters and the outcome of their story. And here she not only created emotional story with some intense moments, but also managed to sprinkle in a little humour along the way, giving it some lighter scenes as well.
When Callie finally finds the courage to leave her abusive marriage- her neighbour, Jane, enlists the help of her brother-in-law, who happens to be the pilot for Trident Security. With Conrad’s help Callie is whisked away—- annnnd then— no spoilers here, but what happens next makes for a really great read.
Looking forward to seeing what Thia Finn does next!

Thank you, Thia Finn!

Kiss Me Before Flight by Thia Finn. I loved this book. Its the story of Trident Security’s pilot Conrad “CC” Chapman who has been asked by his sister in law, Jane to help her friend, Callie, who is trying to get away from her abusive husband. Callie has been in this relationship/marriage for over 20 years and he has made her believe that she deserves nothing more. The Trident Security team is used to tackling messy situations but CC is concerned about this one because Callie is very attractive and sparks fly whenever he is near her. He doesn’t need that complication in his life. They end up sending her to a private island in the Gulf by the team. While she is there she begins helping by doing housekeeping but sparks continue to fly between her and CC. Callie’s ex will never let her go and he’s made more threats. She seems to be in more danger than ever before. Will CC be able to keep Callie safe and will they be able to let down their walls and see where their relationship might go? I enjoyed this suspenseful story with a twist of romance adding in. This is an author that I have enjoyed from the first book I picked up of hers. This is a story that pulled me in from the beginning. It is an engaging story that is not only fast paced but full of action as well. The characters bring the story to life on each page by the author’s use of details. I also enjoyed how connectable they are as well as strong. This is a well written story about Callie who is in need of help after she has escaped from her abusive husband. CC Chapman is not sure he is up for the challenge of Callie. What he did not expect was her to be so beautiful. What happens next I highly recommend reading this book to find out. You don’t want to miss the twists and turns they will take you on. This is a really great story that I had a hard time putting down. I highly suggest picking it up today.

Before the Second Show by Thia Finn is a superb Rockstar romance. It is my first read from Thia Finn- and wow, have I been missing out on some great reading by not having discovered her sooner. Something I plan to rectify now, by diving into her catalogue of books in the very near future.
I will be completely honest here and let you know that initially I chose this book as a bit of a ‘palate cleanser’, after some really intense stories left me with a heavy book-hangover. I wanted something light and fun, an easy read to get me back on track. While this was all those things- I definitely underestimated the story- because even though I knew I would love it (because, DUH- Rockstar romance, what’s not to love), I found that I loved it far more than I thought I would. It only took a couple of pages into the book, and I was hooked- avidly reading to discover where the story would lead. I became far more invested in the story and the characters than I expected- which made this book a fantastic ‘surprise’.
While there were times I didn’t like where the story was headed, or what the characters were doing- and times I wanted to shake some sense into them- I still couldn’t tear myself away from the story, and ended up reading it in one sitting.
There were a few little issues which confused me- but in the end they didn’t detract too much from the overall storyline.
I will definitely be reading more of Thia Finn’s books- I can’t wait to see what’s in store for me!

Thank you, Thia Finn!

Before the Second Show is a beautiful second chances rock star romance by Thia Finn. It is the first book I have read by this writer and I know that from now on I will keep my eyes out on anything new that she releases. I absolutely love second chances stories and I also love stories that span over long period of time (whether in actual narrative or simply jumping the years and giving us the experience of those years passed).
Before the Second Show gives us Emmy and Alex. Emmy is our young teenager filled with angst and dreams and in the throes of a young love that goes unanswered, Alex is your quintessential musician – sex, drugs and rock’n’roll! Add to the mix Marcus, a guy who is perfect on paper and seems just the right man for Emmy to move on with and leave the teenage crush behind …
As it is a story of second chances then it is not as simple as it could be and the writer takes us on a rollercoaster ride. She gives us banter and she gives us craziness as there is a whole gang aka Trace band members along on the ride that makes it even wilder and makes us hope that Before the Second Show is just a beginning to a series that we all rocker girls, young and mature, want to go back to!

I sincerely enjoyed this story. This is my first read by Thia Finn and now I’m left asking myself Why? She was able to take a book about a rockstar and make me love it. I really don’t like rockstar romances..that is until this book.

From the character development to the dialogue with the characters I was pulled in immediately and found myself not being able to put the book down. The way the story flowed made it also go faster than I expected and before I knew it I was done. She writes in a way that makes you think you know what’s going to happen and you even keep waiting for it to happen and in the meantime it goes a totally different way. That’s my favorite part about reading!

I loved the friendships in this story and the family aspects as well. I am so hoping there is a book about Adam…seems there is a story there and I’m pretty sure all in the band have stories to tell and I will be reading them all if this author blesses us with them.

I highly recommend reading this book, for me I love finding new authors especially when I find one I can’t wait to read more from.

Loved it!!!!!!

5 stars!

Great book by Thia Finn. I really enjoyed the aspect of the characters being in a band. It always makes for a fun read, with some twists and turns because of the lifestyle those characters lead. Alex being the lead guitarist in the band Trace has all of the temptations of someone in the spotlight and famous, so how he would remember one girl, one kiss, one night after a show is beyond me. Emmy, bless her heart, thinks after her first kiss, and with a rock star, she is in love makes me cringe. When they meet years later and he doesn’t remember her, of course my heart breaks for her, but I also am thinking how naive she is and is pleased to see her grow into a stronger woman. The storyline is wonderful. I loved following along with Emmy and Alex to see where their story would end, if it would end with them together or just in heartbreak and mess.
The secondary characters were awesome. Adam, Alex’s brother and Rylee, Emmy’s best friend are nicely written in, and wouldn’t mind seeing a story about each of them. Overall would 10 out of 10 recommend this book, it is filled with drama, romance and music making for a wild journey.

Before the Second Show is a rock star, second chance romance between Emmy and Alex. Alex is the rock star guitarist and he and Emmy meet and fall in love at sixteen when she sneaks out to see him at a gig and they meet backstage but Alex soon has to move on as he has more gigs to play. Emmy is aware that falling in love with a rock star and at sixteen is not a good plan and she tries to forget her encounter with the sexy guitarist. Five years later Emmy is happily in a relationship with Marcus and works as a realtor. Marcus who is working with Alex and his band, and has no idea that Emmy has a past with Alex recommends Emmy when Alex and brother Adam need a realtor. Emmy is then annoyed when Alex seems to have no memory oh her and shows no recognition, however although he does not remember her he does feel a pull towards Emmy and finds her intriguing. Emmy has also never forgotten Alex Trace and has never really felt the same chemistry with anyone else. Fate brings the two back together and a change in circumstances in Alex’s life brings the two closer together and makes Alex realise what and who he really wants.
I’m not usually a rock star romance fan but I loved this book by Thia Finn and fell in love with her diverse range of characters. I was cheering Emmy on as a giggly sixteen year old with her first crush, sneaking out to a gig and falling in love with sexy Alex Trace and was fascinated by her change through the years to a more mature women, with a good job and stable relationship but who still had a bit of the sixteen year old Emmy in her when it came to her feelings for Alex, her first love.
Rock star and rock god guitarist Alex was a fantastic character, obviously good looking and a typical young man who has had women throwing themselves at him as he toured the world with his band. I enjoyed seeing how the relationship between Emmy and Alex developed especially after fate seems to bring them back together and give them a second chance at love. I found the dynamic between the two and how it changed from their first encounter was very realistic. The secondary characters, such as Alex’s brother Adam and the rest of his band were all fascinating characters in their own right and I would have liked to have seen them have their own stories but this is a stand alone book.
A complex rock star, second chance romantic story with a twist and with a great range of characters and a storyline that kept me hooked from page one until the last page, I definitely recommend this book.

This book is worth the read as you ponder who deserves what and why. You find yourself rooting for each character’s sense of happiness. I loved reading this book to see which way it’d turn out.
