An emotional roller coaster but worth every minute. Had me in tears at parts. Elsa does not know how to deal with the loss she has just encountered and turns to drink and drugs and she pushes jer boyfriend Anton away when he loves her more than anything, but can long distance really work for that long he is hollywoods latest heartthrob and everyone wants a piece of him. Can they come back together and have their happily ever after they both long for.

Trigger warnings! Miscarriage, infertility, drug, and alcohol abuse! I did not expect so many of the things in this book that happened. There are a lot of twists and turns in Elsa and Anton’s love story. The main thing for me is that love conquers all. When two people truly love each other they can weather any storm.

This is the second book in the Titans of Manhattan series, and this book made this author a one click author for me. Anton and Elsa’s story has all the feels. I loved the first book in this series, but this book is even better. This power couple have a fairytale beginning, but cracks emerge that they may not be able to overcome. This amazing story had me reading long into the night, I just couldn’t put it down. I’m really looking forward to the rest of the book in this series. Review by @sunbarn

Anton and Elsa thought they had a perfect relationship. Anton is an actor and a Manhattan Titan, Elsa is an up and coming real estate agent best in her company. They have been dating for a few years, he finally proposes and they get married at J.C.’s resort in the Caribbean, what more could they want. Anton spends alot of time away filming movies but they have never really had issues with the long distance until Elsa finds out she is pregnant. That is when things begin to go downhill. Things changed when Elsa becomes so stressed that she passes out at a showing and wakes up in the hospital. Only her worst fears could happen after waking up. What all could happen in the life of a Manhattan Titan.
This was an emotional journey I was not prepared for.
Elsa Fitzgerald is one of the most successful real estate agents in New York is dating Anton Kingston but something is missing from this happily ever after.
I don’t want to give too much away but this was an amazing story. I went into this thinking it was going to be another rich guy who falls in love and does whatever he can to keep her from slipping away because of his past but it is not. It is so much more.
I noticed that there are other novels in this series. They look to be standalones but I am excited to see the other couples and what they go through.

This is my first read of this author and she didn’t disappoint. This story is easy to connect with the characters and you want a happily ever after from the very beginning once you learn the lives of both Caspian and Paisley. I can’t wait to read more of the Titans of Manhattan series.

I read the first book in this series and loved it. I’m glad to say the second book lived up to the hype created by the first one! The characters and their situation are very authentic and relatable. It’s easy to care about what happens to them and get sucked into the story. I liked how the author started the story with an established relationship. It made it easier to get to the deeper part of the story faster.

Anton is the heartthrob movie star and Elsa is best real estate agent around. They have so many ups and downs that it instantly gets you sucked into the story, because you just have to know what/ how they will react next. This couple has what it takes to make it through anything. Anton proves he is a strong man and will be by Elsa’s side. Elsa learns that even with all the pain she endured and with what she put Anton through, he is the man for her. Their love is real and makes you keep flipping page after page. I cannot wait until book three.
I love this series. I love this author. And I sure love these characters!! Anton and Elsa (cute names y’all) are great characters that really feel fleshed out (in my opinion the multiple POVS do that for me)! I love that it’s such a romantic (another reviewer said fairytale like and i completely agree) story with some serious topics. I think Elsa is just so relatable and her personal storyline felt so heartfelt. You WILL feel some emotions in this one! I am enjoying this series so much and can’t wait to see what the author has in store for us.

Anton Kingston could not get out of California fast enough to have in search of everything he never had growing up. Raising to fame and becoming Hollywood’s hottest leading man in countless box office hits. Elsa Fitzgerald is New York Cities elite royalty. Growing up she was raised to act the part of a proper lady, to never show weakness, and to never let a man see you cry. She is the number one real estate agent in NYC, the penthouse of her dreams, the social like any woman her age would love to have. But when Hollywood walks into NYC who knew that there would be fireworks. Elsa and Anton’s relationship is perfect but can there really be a perfect relationship? Anyone who reads this book will fall in love with their love story. The first year of marriage will test even the most perfect of relationships. Will Elsa and Anton be able to survive this bump in the road or will their north star lead them back into each other’s arms? When I started reading this book I fell in love with not only the characters but also their relationship with each other. There were many tears throughout because I could feel the pain Elsa was going through. This is most definitely a must-read. Keep in mind there are triggers such as miscarriage, depression, infertility, drug, and alcohol dependency.

This book is book two of the series and can be read as a standalone but the books are so good you’d only be missing out.
Elsa and Anton seemingly have it all but yet can’t wait to fill the missing piece in their lives. More than anything, Elsa has wanted to get married and have kids. What they expected to be easier ends up being difficult and a little tragic. Will their marriage sustain this blow or will everything be destroyed.
The author did a great job with these characters. Outside of their elite status, they were relatable as was their marriage. They had real struggles that many couples face and overall they were very well written. This story was emotional but you can’t help but get sucked in.

This second book of the Titans of Manhattan, grabs you quickly just like the first book of the series. Sometimes being a famous superstar and having everything in live isn’t what it’s always perceived to be. Let Anton and Elsa take you on their journey and show you battles of life and what true love is. I can’t wait to read the additional books of this series knowing I won’t be disappointed

Imperfectly Yours (Titans Of Manhattan #2) by Anise Storm
This is another amazing read by the author. The first book of the Titans of Manhattan was good, but Imperfectly Yours is better. It is part of a series, but can be read as a standalone. I highly recommend checking out the first book.
Elsa is loving the life she has right now. She’s got a great man, not one that she expected. Things become hard and she isn’t sure that they’ll survive it. The quote I chose for Elsa is: “You’re home. I thought you needed to stay in Shanghai until the end of the month. What’s wrong?”
Anton loves being famous, but he loves being home even more. He loves Elsa and would do anything for her. Things are getting hard and he doesn’t know which way to go. The quote I chose for Anton is: “That saying about there being no place like home is right. F**k, I missed my wife and even you three.”
Highly recommended for Contemporary Romance lovers.
This story follows Elsa and Anton as they go through some of the most difficult times of their life and how they navigate it. Decisions and mistakes are made that lead to heartbreak after they seem to lose everything will they find their way back to each other?
This story is heavy. It will keep you engaged and hoping for a happy ending. There are so many things that Elsa and Anton go through that are relatable and utterly heartbreaking. There are triggers before you read this book and it could be a hard read if you have gone to some of the similar things that Elsa goes through. It was emotionally charged and excellently written.
I would recommend this to anyone who wants to read a book about overcoming some of the darkest times in your life and how even though all feels lost there will always be another day and it can get better.

I came into this reading book two I feel like I wasn’t missing anything. It was a nice stand alone book. It hits on the hard topics like miscarriage, drug and alcohol abuse. The book was well written and the story progressed really well. This is the first time I’ve read where the couple was already married and not them just getting together and end up married. Watching the main characters self progression through the trails made me feel for them and like I was right there going through it with them. It was a book I really enjoyed and it pulled on my heart strings. There were a few moments where I found myself crying. Well done author. this was beautiful story.

This isn’t my first read by this author and it won’t be my last. This second Titans novel really caught my attention for several reasons, like the REAL life lows that aren’t often written about. It really was heartbreaking to experience the loss, tragedy, and spiral along with Elsa, but it was beautifully written. There were a few times when I wanted to strangle Anton for being so self-centered and seemingly cold towards Elsa, but he was essentially the product of his past experiences, so it’s hard to hold it against him. Otherwise, his character was quite swoon-worthy. If you are prepared for reading through some tough times, I’d strongly suggest this book to anyone. Great read!

This is the second book in the author’s Titans of Manhattan series, and is a love story between Anton and Elsa. Anton is a Hollywood actor in love with Elsa who is a realtor in New York City. The book takes us through the first year of their marriage and all the difficulties that they endure. Be warned there could be some triggering topics within the story such as addiction, loss, and depression. Tragedy continues to strike the couple and between that and Anton always being away, strain is left on the marriage. Elsa ends up not dealing with the life struggles she has and turns to drugs instead of her husband. However, Anton sticks by his wife whose life became very difficult to live and never gave up on her; he knew all about that difficult life, too, his childhood was full of tragedy. They always said the first year of marriage was the toughest, this couple shows us just that, but also shows how when love is present, there are ways through the pain.
One of the things I love to find in any book I read is the life lessons that can be learned. Through all of the struggles, this couple shows us so many of these life lessons. I loved that the author made Elsa feel real, when I read what she was going through, I could imagine exactly how that feels. However, Elsa consistently made me upset because of the assumptions she projected about her husband. She was always so quick to push him away and assume the worst, instead of taking a moment to listen. Anton showed us that men have feelings, care, and are more than what assumptions have produced. He also showed us that when you love so deeply, you will find a way to support, stick by their side, and find a way to get through it because the love and the people involved are worth it.

This novel had me in my feelings; no emotions were left untouched. The plot is original, relatable, and realistic in so many aspects. The author highlights that sometimes the path to happiness is not always lined with chocolates and giggles, but sometimes riddled with heartbreak that may lead you down a slippery slope. It’s just a beautiful story; your dream can be within your grasp and yet so far away. Don’t even get me started on the ending [cue waterworks]. I was not disappointed!

I am still crying over this book I never have been so emotional. Elsa and Anton really are true love and prove that love can conquer all. This personally hit home for me. Depression and alcohol abuse brings this story to life as it is so relatable. The first book was good, this book I cannot even describe how amazing it is. My heart hurts and I need therapy. Now the story is character driven and the triggers bring this story to life. OMG the character development of both Elsa and Anton is so well written that you feel compelled to keep reading as if you are a part of their story. This story proves that money and fame do not bring happiness. They triumphantly are couple goals by the end. Marriage is beautiful. Thank you to this author cause this book is a masterpiece in love and marriage and the real life that we as woman overcome. I loved this I can’t wait for more.

Loved this book. It is very easy and quick to read. In the beginning Caspian (Cass) thinks he is the unlovable guy from all his past trauma, who is also a multibillionaire running his uncles company, Archer Industries. His Uncle Preston tells him he to marry some one or he does not get to inherit the company. Paisley is our girl next door who is trying to juggle everything on own, including trying to pay for her moms medical care after her accident. She is also a girl from Cass’ former life. Paisley runs into Cass at the hospital and they form a plan to marry for a year and a day, so he can inherit his company and she can have her moms medical bills cared for. Will they be able to make it a year or did they get in over their heads?
Can two imperfect people make their relationship work? Anton and Elsa have an amazing life, but things are always as perfect as they seem. Elsa was raised to be the best wife, but to never show her weaknesses. Anton has hid his families past from everyone in his life, including his wife. The two of them must fight through their demon’s, and trust each other.

I didn’t think it could get better than the first book, but this one did it! This was such an unexpected story and varied from your typical romance, starting with a couple already together and in love, rather than a developing love story. The author tackled very difficult life situations and cultivated a story of marriage that felt real (outside of the elite social status of the couple). Elsa and Anton have a storybook romance that is threatened by real life loss and struggles that could occur in any marriage. This is an emotional ride of a story.
As in the first book, I felt the author did a wonderful job developing the characters throughout the book and built upon the story in way that made it difficult to put down. I really am enjoying this series and this author and can’t wait to see what she brings us in the next one!

There were so many spots in this book that were relatable. The pain that both Elsa and Anton felt leapt from the pages. Imperfectly Yours was a book loaded with a heavy subject, but in the end it showed how one could over come such a thing. Anton and Elsa seemed like polar opposites, but complimented each other well at the same time. I was glad they both got what they wanted and it didn’t end in tragedy as they both dealt with so much of it throughout the story. I really wish I could give an extra half star because I do enjoy this authors stories. I’m two books into this five book series and I look forward to reading the stories about other Titans.

Another page turner I could not put down! This author never disappoints and every book series just gets better each book. Anton and Elsa had a passionate connection, and love that rivaled even the fairy tales. Their long distance love and tight knit marriage works until it doesn’t. When tragedy strikes and miscommunication begins it sets them on a downward spiral that neither could expect. Secrets between them reflect the realities of addiction, loss, and lies as you are taken on an emotional roller coaster with them. This is a story that you have to see to the end.

I was very excited to read Anton and Elsa’s story. Having read book one I knew I was in for a story I wouldn’t soon forget and I was right. I’ll be honest this story spoke to me in a much bigger way than the first not to say the first wasn’t fantastic this one I just connected with more. I’m a girl that loves a love story that goes through tough situations and come out on the other end. These characters were well written and easy to connect with. You can feel every emotion the author writes into the pages. I couldn’t put it down and was so sad when I reached the end but these characters definitely stole a piece of my heart and I’ll be rereading this one for sure. It’s a story that will have you in all your feelings and loving every minute of it. Five stars all the way and highly recommended!

Hooked! What a great book and story! The author has an effortless writing style that is engaging and reels you into the story. I really enjoyed Paisley and Caspian’s unique story and the unfolding of their personal stories as the book progressed. From the same roots and with a history that time has changed, Paisley and Caspian literally collide. Each facing their own very different challenges, Caspian helps Paisley realize they can can help each other. Though they entered into a marriage of convenience their steamy attraction can’t be denied…could it ever be anything more? This page-turner left me wanting more from the author and had me picking up the next installment quickly!

These 2, I loved reading about them. They really kept me hanging on every word I was reading. And then I had actual tears flowing down my face as i just felt their pain and loss.

Imperfectly Yours (Titans of Manhattan Book 2) by Anise Storm 4 Stars
This is book two in the series but can be read as a stand-alone. It was drilled into Else’s head since she was a child that she had to be everything for her husband. She had to be perfect or else he would look elsewhere. She grows up and marries one of the Titans of Manhattan. Anti is sexy, powerful and one of Hollywood’s biggest stars. Her career as a real estate agent is going well. Her life is perfect until tragedy hits. By being recently married, can their marriage survive taking a serious hit? They say live conquers all but can they have their happily ever after?
You will travel on an emotional roller coaster as this book will play with your emotions. The author does an excellent job of portraying the heartache that this couple goes through. The story can definitely be a trigger for some readers. Although my heart broke for Else, I was frustrated with her. If she would have just talked to her husband, she could have saved herself so much anguish. This was an amazing story in a fantastic series.

This isn’t the first book I have read by this author; I have enjoyed every book I have read by her and this was no exception. There are trigger warnings, miscarriage, depression, drug dependency. Anton and Elsa have an amazing long-distance relationship, when Anton having known that Elsa was the one for him since he first laid eyes on her, asks her to marry him. Anton and Elsa seem like the perfect couple. Like all couples’ rough times hit them, can they survive the hits that just keep coming? Can Elsa bring herself back from the darkness she has fallen into? This story hit very close to home having gone through some of these issues myself. I rooted for them while crying for their pain. I was engaged to the very last page and am looking forward to reading more by this author.
