This book is an amazing insight of what it’s like being nonverbal and a teenager. There are many issues that present themselves in the teenage years but what if you can’t voice them and tell someone how everything feels. I really enjoyed reading this book and seeing how Emerson’s mind works and how she deals with it day to day. A great read to help you understand what it is like to be nonverbal.

A reminder to absolutely read the first two books in this series before reading Magic Borne. In this third story full of imagination and fantasy we hope that Ian finally finds the Crown and saves the people of Jem Reth. C.L. Schneider pulled out all the stops for this book. An amazing series from book one to book three.
Yeti Left Home by Aaron Rosenberg

Yeti Left Home was slow to start for me. I wasn’t quite sure what the story was going to be about. But once you get far enough in, you understand and keep reading. Wylie just wants to be left alone. He is a yeti but no one really knows. Why is this woman looking for him? Is she a hunter? I enjoyed the book as I got further into it.
The Lone Star Child by Winnifred Tataw

This book was not a normal book I would choose to read. I did not think I’d enjoy it like I did. I have a genre of book I stick with but I jumped out of my comfort zone and fell in love with Winnifred Tataw’s writing. I went and got the first three books so I could better understand The Lone Star Child. I recommend reading them in order. Great series full of wonder and adventure.
Unexpected Entanglement by C.R. Alam

I’ve read several books from this series by C.R. Alam and I have to say this one is my absolute favorite. You know the connection is there and you hope to know the outcome but the struggles getting there are so real life. You root for Chris, you root for Rowan. Who is causing the problems for the Inn? Will the family ever meet? It has everything.

Austin loves Mavis, Mavis loves and is marrying his twin brother Joshua. Mavis is leaving her best friend Casey to marry Josh thousands of miles away. Austin needs to get away from Mavis and Josh. Will his path cross with Casey and save both of them? This is the second book in the series Trading Heartbeats Trilogy and I have to say it is my favorite of the two I’ve read so far. Austin is such a great character full of life and ambitions. Casey is the same in every way plus more. Well worth the read and recommend reading the first so you have all the facts!

In the final story of the Heartbeats Trilogy, we make it to Mitch and Lauren. Mitch and Lauren have been together for years and loved each other even longer. Their relationship is rocky and they are at a stand still. Will they get their second chance at love and their perfect happily ever after? I liked this story, it wasn’t my favorite of the three but it was still a great story. They all connect perfectly and bring you into the dynamic. Well worth the read.
The Daredevil by Nadia Han

I didn’t think there could be more action in the Waterfyre Rising Series but Nadia Han sure found some. I appreciated this story a lot more than the first of the series. I love how Royce and Michelle come together and fall so quickly while fighting their life’s obstacles.
The Mastermind by Nadia Han

There is a lot being told in this story and the first few chapters will throw you around and you’ll have a lapse of being lost but if you keep going you’ll catch up quick. A fun romantic but suspenseful love story between a brother’s best friend and the little sister. I really enjoyed the story when I caught up. I can’t wait to read about the following love stories of the Waterfyre Rising Series.
The Innovator by Nadia Han

I’m so glad Nadia finally wrote a story for Grayson. He has been a favorite of mine since book one. It’s good to see him finally get life together and release some of the stress. I loved Natalie as well. Great book. Can’t wait to get the fourth book in this series.
Return to Hoodoo: A Paranormal Women’s Fiction Novel by Reggi Dupree

You ever started reading a book and just liked how it sucks you in and makes a completely different world for you; Return to Hoodoo did just that for me. The beginning few paragraphs grab your attention and just take you. You’ll get a giggle and you can just hear the narrator’s voice speaking in her twang and full of attitude. This book is fun full of everything you want, magic, romance, and more. A great read for those days you just need to escape and have a laugh with a great story.

I love poetry and I love John Lennon so I was thrilled to read these. I found it sounded better reading it aloud though because my head scrambled the words and they just didn’t sound as good. I think ‘Pain Pain, Mental or Physical It’s All The Same’ was my favorite of them all though; I loved them all but sometimes things just connect you know. I’m glad Ryan Becker loves writing and shows the world a different set up of poetry with this lense.

Little Red, the Detective: a science folktale by Lois Wickstrom

Little Red is a fun twist on the classic. Lois Wickstrom does her very best. Great illustrations in the book make it a great read. Lois teaches the kids how to tell a person from another by fingerprints. This knowledge is something most kids don’t learn for years. Great story.

Breach of Trust is the 8th book in the Madeline Dawkins series. Of the few I’ve read of this series this one was my favorite. It was a creative story that reminds me of the 90s with pen letters and more. So many twists and turns that just fit together.

The story kicks you right in your feelings at the start. A story of taking things for granted and losing your place when you think you are inadequate. As a mother and wife it stirs a lot of things inside you when reading White Picket Fences. Heartbreak and closure in one small book. Guilt ridden, Jules is trying to get her life back together after the tragedy. A great read, that I would recommend not reading in public if you cry easily.

Not really sure where to begin with this review. The book is a walking porn and if you aren’t into that, don’t read it but if you are, absolutely recommend reading it. This is a short story trilogy, where each story interacts with one another.

This book was a fun little twist. Normally you expect the fall in love after heartbreak and betrayal but you don’t expect it to be with your exes trainer from the gym. This story will make you laugh and even make you mad. It is a short enough book to read in a day but long enough to take a few hours. There are a lot of R rated things though so be warned!

The short chapters that pull you in asking for a bit more information. I highly recommend reading the first two books before jumping into The Destiny Of Light. Though I believe it could be read without them, it is always nice to know what has happened to get to this point. In this final book to the Quirk of Destiny series, you will follow Calum to see if he and his friends can survive the end of the world and the creatures that haunt them. A good quick series to read on a cold day.
Under My Care by R.L. Dunn

Under My Care pulls you in so quickly that you forget you are reading and not part of the action. There are points of view from Peter and Rowena. The story has everything and I do mean everything. An action packed love story full of emotions. Add to that the biggest snow storm right as all hell breaks loose. This book was everything. Your emotions will vary throughout. I may have cried a lot. I didn’t want to put it down or it to end and was glad it was long enough to get everything out. I loved it.
