If you enjoy SciFi with your romance, then this is an anthology to keep you enthralled for hours or days to be exact.
36 stories by a collection of very talented authors which you can pick and choose or read them all,
I must admit my favorites were Naomi Valkyrie and her short story The Alien and the Crime Boss about Kasper the crime boss and his run in with Leilphum an intriguing alien with two forms. And Dark Thief by Melissa Riddle where we find a dystopian earth where Fala meets and is held captive by Beren the Alien.
There are many other stories and authors I could mention but then I would be here a lot longer.
The Wandering Isles: A Crown of Stones Novella (Soulbound Journeys Book 1) by C. L. Schneider – Review by Tracy Greenhalgh

Another great read from CL Schneider. An encompassing novella that continues from the Crown of Stone Serries, this novella can be read as a standalone; but flows well as a continuation to the series. Reading the series will explain a few of the intricacies, back story and older history of the many tribes and species we meet in this book.

Again, the author continues describing vividly as with their earlier books, and I found this one just as difficult to put down, I needed to know what happened.

The continuing character development and world building keeps you hooked as Ian Troy sails for the Wandering Isles, and from there the magic and mystery continue.

What can I say except if you like your books dystopian in nature but with added paranormal tendencies, and you like to disappear into a story then this is certainly the book for you.

This is the first book I have delved into by this author, and I can tell you it will not be the last, I am defiantly going to hunt down book 2 as I need to know what happens.

In this book we follow a few distinct groups of people, some are in the past, which I found a little tricky to follow to begin with, some with special powers, some with and some without gemstones.

Country is brought back together after a plague, and managed in a strict caste system, each has its own place in society, and from here we follow Maybelle and Kate, Juliana who meets Anthony, and Cho, Ichi, and the children. Each group has a profound impact on the story, and each interacts with the other. Towards the end it becomes clear as to how they interlink.

I found this book all encompassing, certainly one hard to put down. The world building paints a very vivid picture, and the character development is smooth and interesting.

Book three in the Bluestone Series we follow Ivy as she struggles to keep the family ranch afloat and battling to maintain control of her business when most of the clients are male chauvinists, they feel that they should be working with a man. Ivy’s brother is not interested in working on the ranch.

Enter scared military veteran Ace, looking for somewhere to work away from his past, Ace starts to work for Ivy and after a month, after seeing how she is treated by one of her clients, he states that they are more than boss and worker…

Starting off a fake fiancée relationship, where feelings are involved before the fake starts but that neither of them feel good enough for the other.

There is a hint of stress alongside a huge amount of fun as we follow these two as they navigate their relationship, hiding things from family, friends, and each other.

I really enjoyed this book.

The second book in the series is an amazing continuation from Bosses Vendetta, In this book we follow Dominic as he finds his place as the underboss of the family, starting with the destruction of the home of their rival family.

Emilia, thinks she can escape the Larussio family when they stormed her family home, her, and her brother escape, but are they safe?

Taken hostage, kidnapped, held against her will, all of these are all thoughts that must run through Emilias head when she is really being protected.

Truth can hurt when it is spoken by those that should protect you with their lives, Emilia finds her family is not as close as it should be, and her parents lie.

I found this book a joy to read, the characters continue to grow and the world around them is well described. I cannot wait to read more

Wow what an enthralling third book in the series, in this n=book we follow Lorenzo the third in line of the Larussio Crime Family, The family strategist and problem solver. And his problem walked in the door in the form of the redheaded reporter Isabella.

Trying to get answers to why her father is behind bars, Izzy knows she needs to get information from as many crime families as she can, and using her skills within the Entertainment Magazines and newspapers to tell the truth and try not to make enemies at the same time…

Still seeing the character growth from Salvatore and Dominic we see how Lorenzo grows as a character in his own right.

More kidnapping and threats to life find Izzy in hiding with one of those that she feels is one who has information she needs about her dad and her family, can she manange her feelings, or learn to trust. Can Izzy trust Lorenzo??

Another enjoyable book by this delightful story telling author.

What an enjoyable pretty easy read historical romance with a twist of the forbidden.
A great story based in the early days of San Francisco, where the men outnumber the women.
We follow Isaac and Walter, both men are strong individuals with a full friendship based on years together travelling and working. How music, construction, furniture building and friends can all play a part in the feelings, friendships and relationships.
When the newest lady to move to the area Suzette De Massey arrives from France with her brother, her past is not far behind her, and sparks sure do fly when she is introduced properly to Walter and Isaac.
The normality of tri relationships instead of couples, their immediate friends and love for music and each other all bring the story easy though from beginning to end, throw in the angst of kidnapping, shanghaiing of men to work the trade routes, missing family members, intrigue and suspense also have a part to play.
Will Suzette get away from her past, will her future be with one or two men, will her brother survive his gambling way and many more questions are answered.
I look forward to reading more from this author.

This is the second book in the Space Force Rejects and I can say 100% that if you like your scifi with a bit of heat, emotion and angst, bringing together many species then you will not be disappointed.
In this book we follow Sera as she hunts for her uncle, left as a pen pushing desk jockey within Space Force her uncle had paired her with a protector, once her uncle vanishes Sera uses her skills and sneaky ways to try and find him, along the way she meets her paired / mate / protector in the form of Markus an ex special ops from Space Force.
Markus feels the bond at first scent, and knows he cannot say no to protecting and helping Sear in any way possible, but feelings are not what he is interested in.
They find themselves marooned on Earth, now a prison planet and this is where the story really takes on a life of its own, the characters they meet, the information they gather and the description of the world as it is then is dramatic and thoroughly engaging. The species they come across, double crossed by and attempt to escape with are amazing.
Again I am waiting to read the next book by this author.

This is the first book I had read by this author and I can wholeheartedly say it will not be the last.
I found the characters very intriguing and diverse, and their development was well written, and the world they live and work in is described to the point I could see myself there.
Different races seem to have evolved, from the Undying, those that are in effect immortal, though there are very few left and many are looking for humans or others of their type to increase their numbers. The shape shifters those who resemble werewolves when in their beastly form. And obvious the humans.
Terran works as a public prosecutor after the death of his father instead of taking on the family business (unless in his other form, reaping vengeance).
Seth is a property mogul of types, I suppose he has gathered a lot of experience in his many years of life..
Kaela, adopted daughter of a doctor has her own magic but knows nothing of the others in her neighbourhood; caught literally in the wrong place and time she is rescued by the beast, and has already caught the attention of one immortal.
Death threats, loss of evidence, finding long lost gems, life is certainly looking interesting for all 3 of the main characters. I am really super excited to read the following book.

Ian needs to find out who he is, who he can trust and what hope can do.
The story is certainly not without its angst, fights and magic. Ian must understand the past and the creation of the crown of stones, to bring freedom to his people and to stop his father from realising his dreams of a magic empire ruled over by himself.
On his quest to find the truth Ian uncovers many truths and secret kept and lost over the time that the Shinree has been enslaved and drugged.
Once again CLSchneider keep you totally engrossed and rooting for our hero Ian.
If you are into reading deep fantasy with twist and turns, history , politics, magic, tragedy and a really good story line then the whole series is for you.

I really enjoyed this book, I wasn’t sure I would as to begin with I found it rather heavy for my usual fantasy read, but once I was a few chapters in I was hooked.
The story follows Ian a Shinree (magic wielding) soldier as the lands fight over the right to control areas. Shinree are either slaves or healers, so in this Ian is an anomaly.
Both armies are killed when he releases his magic after the queen dies, and then he is a hired hand,
The Character development and world building is great and we meet many other magical and observant people as he finds his way, Malaq is another character that after a meeting becomes an integral part of the story.
Plot twists and storytelling keep you truly engaged with the author. I am away to read book 2 straight away as I need to know what happens.
If you like indepth stories this is the one for you. I now need to find a quiet place to dive into book 2
Wow I managed to go straight into book three of this series and I was not disappointed.
Again we find the characters from the previous 2 books all making appearances as Chris finds it is his time to have his story told. Rowan needs a knight to step up and be her partner in a fake relationship.
There is certainly chemistry, and the well written banter between the characters that I have come to enjoy from this author. The story is interwoven with the previous stories (as with His Forever Muse book 2 in the series).
The author continues to give us romance with a twist, angst and emotions. I feel that it can be read as part pf the series or as a stand alone. Personally in the series you get to see the bigger picture and get a full feel for how the author builds their worlds.

How happy was I to read the second book in the series soon after the first.
In the follow up book to Echoing Hearts we follow Brandon artist in paint and music as he finds himself. Re-kindling the relationship with his best friend’s sister from their friendship 15 years previously.
Calli has lived through a lot since she left home, never feeling like she met the expectations of those around her, she moves away, and falls in love. This is pretty short lived. Leaving her life behind for a second time she is reintroduced to Brandon.
Callis past will not stay in the past and she finds herself in trouble again.
Another really enjoyable contemporary romance; with a definite twist. The characters have developed well in their own story with snippets of the other characters we have already met. This book can be read as a standalone as well as in the series.
What a well written contemporary romance with a twist on the trust issues that come along with great friendships and non-traditional families.
Dean entrepreneur with a history that ensures he does not open his heart to anyone, and Rae solo traveling writer who has history too.
They meet under coincidental circumstances and then the sparks fly, but neither of them will admit to it. The question is can they move forward without visiting their pasts; accepting each other’s lives, family and friends.
They both go their separate ways only to be brought back together, trust issues, and character flaws make this book a really interesting read. The character development finds one making the move whilst the other backs off then the tables are turned in a true yo-yo of emotions.
Emotional and heart-warming the world built by the author has room to evolve into a wider story involving other characters.
A really lovely warm and emotional small town, friends to lovers and best friend romance: Samantha depicts a lovely rural town, with the small town businesses you would expect, and Abby is one of the business owners who have lived in the town her whole life. With an overbearing mother and firefighting best friend Nate. We follow Abby and her journey to become a mum.
Almost unlucky in love Abby can’t seem to find the right man, but is he right under her nose and knows her better than anyone else?
From an agreed Just one time, to see if she falls pregnant, Abby and Nate are invested in more than friendship until they are not honest about their intentions. Emotionally up and down we follow the do they don’t they part of the story, always thinking one step ahead to do they get their Happy Ever After.
What a lovely story, this is my first book by this author, and I am hooked. I am in awe of how this book straddles a few genres.
This is a mix of MC, small town and almost enemy to lover genres, add some magic and you almost have the basis of this book. It is written in a wintery scene and I think I will be re-reading it over the festive time, for mood and ambiance.
We meet and see Noelle come into her own as she finds herself attracted to a visiting stranger, that her family do not like. The clan and villagers seem to be keeping secrets and when Noelle finds out a few things she decides to follow her intuition. Are her family keeping things from her, to keep her safe or to keep everyone under control…
Nikolaus comes from a different Clan, he has his own secrets that he wants to share with Noelle, can he get past the family, clan divides, and will Noelle come into her powers.
What can I say about his book that is not going to get me banned from review sites….
If you like reverse harem with a strong lead female, who has come from nothing and has secrets, and battles to stay alive, and the male counterparts to be strong, handsome and have also built their empire up from nothing.
We meet and follow Brooklyn who works for a non-profit organisation, working on a fundraising gala, On a night out with her best friend she comes into contact with two very interesting men, but her past has her having walls up around herself. They cannot get close.
Two of the knights are intrigued by the unknown woman, but they do not know who she is. Then she comes into their life again, and her past catches up with her.
Hot book, hotter characters, amazing story … I really want to read more from this author.
This is the first time I have read a book by this author, and I can honestly say I am very pleased I did read this book, the world building is well described and interesting and the characters are very diverse, both in where they are from and their gender, including a very well developed non binary character, alongside the definite male and female roles.
In this book we follow Ruarnon and observe them grow into their leadership position and dealing with the neighbouring people under king Kyura (who wants peace, but the population want more land) and the strangers who have travelled through gateways to his world.
Linh wants to get home to Australia, can they help Ruarnon, can they get home, through travel, sea monsters, battles this story takes you by the hand and walks you through this amazing world.

How have I missed this author?
This book (6 in the series) can be read as a standalone and I am assuming the rest of the books are as easy to read and hook you in as much as this one does.
We meet and follow the partnership between Tansia and Master Calabrea, as Tansia is embracing the new after a bad relationship, she is certainly not looking for a relationship let alone one with Master Calabrea. Add in some supernatural sight and prophecy and the story grows and continues to keep you enthralled.
A definite book hangover to deal with after trying to read this all on one sitting.
This is a new author to me and I can say I enjoyed the book.
We meet and follow Kodiak and Tamaska, he feels drawn to her from the first time he sees her, and he must protect her. Especially when it comes to light that the vampires are interested in her too: but maybe not keeping her alive.
Tamaska finds her career in tatters, when a precious gem is stolen, and her best friend missing. Is Kodiak to blame, and what this feeling she has when he is near?
This is an intriguing read, and I can’t wait to get onto book 2 this story needs to continue.
Great world building, and character development.
I cannot say how I thoroughly got caught up in this book, it is one of the few ever that I felt I needed to finish as quick as possible (to see how everyone ends up) but also I did not want it to finish, as I did not want it to come to a stop, yes it is one of those books.
The world building and character development is extremely well done.
We meet Aubrianna 2 years previous to the main story, setting us up for the main story by her meeting an unknown man whilst trying to get back into the family area of the castle one night. Fast forward 2 years and the whole world changes for Anna.
An arranged marriage to someone she does not know, ends up showing Aubrianna just how strong she is, bringing forth the historical lineage of the women of her line.
Larkin is the playboy nephew of the queen, the fates have dictated and the stars have aligned for him to meet his Anna again. The horror that has befallen her and her family, can he help to bring her through it.
Love, Lust, Abuse, Misogyny, Murder, Treason, Kick A** lead female, This book has everything.
Can he keep her safe in his world.
Can they survive the curse?
A good read that had me gripped from the start, I am hoping to get into another book by this author soon, the storytelling holds your attention, and has a healthy dose of heat.
What a lovely small town romance, with added dashes of sisters’ friend angst, and bad boy older brother vibes.
Lily moves from London to Bluestone after the death of her father. Her aim; to be happy, find some answers and run the hardware store that her father left her.
The added family issues bring this book more into reality than some romantic fiction, what a mother and father will do after a relationship breakdown, and how they protect the children, which can be seen in the emotional issues that Lily (and Jake) have to deal with later in life.
Jake knew Lily’s dad, and wants to help her as much as he can to come to terms with the man she never knew, he finds himself wanting to get to know her too.
Emotions roll up and down as this pair struggles to come to know themselves, and each other, and Lily struggles to get the business running whilst coming to grips with the past.
A great read that I hope will be the first of many by this author.
What a GREAT READ. This is the second book in the series about the residents of Quimby Grove and I cannot wait for the third that I can see coming.
After meeting Max in the previous book it was fantastic that he got his own story. We still follow Becket and Ellawyn as the story starts at their wedding. The three friends are really close it is lovely the way they all interact throughout each other’s stories. Book shops, Bars, Florists and Cake shops make Quimby Grove sound idyllic. Maybe not is all ir seems with some of the residents.
A true romantic at heart Max hunts for his beach princess every year since their hook up, he is blown away when his beach princess is his best friend’s wedding planner.
Marley brings with her twins and trouble when she stays in Quimby Grove. The town falls victim to arson, murder and kidnapping all together give this story all of the romance, heartache, mystery and suspense, make this another brilliant read.

Holy Moly this is one fast paced hot read. With well written characters that are both hiding something.
Gwyn introduces us to the second generation of the Hawke family in this prequel and what an introduction it is. I cannot wait to read more.
They meet unexpectedly in a bar, thinking one night will be enough, can two nights be enough? Being nameless they know nothing about each other especially how to contact each other after their rendezvous. Can a 2 night stand be enough…Their time together is full on and the author builds a world that is very easy to fall into.
The Characters are completely enthralling and the story line is intense. I really need to know what happens next, I would love a HEA but I feel a rocky road would be in store for either of our characters.
This the second in the series Guardians of Phae books continues on from where the first left off, just following the explosions and further health issues befalling the Unhidden.
The characters continue to evolve, contact is made with the old gods, and I have to admit I had to re-read a few bits to keep up with which character was involved with which, once I got to grips with it all again I thoroughly enjoyed the book.
Can the Unhidden survive let alone thrive, how does the rest fo the world evolve to accommodate these new slightly paranormal people.
The tension that starts in book one flows effortlessly through the second book, intrigue, mystery are abound. There is some self-doubt, some pain and the story is very complex, but thoroughly enjoyable.
These authors certainly know how to keep you hooked.
