A Dark Sparrow Box Set – Books 1-3 by India Kells

5 out of 5 stars

This is the Box set of the Dark Sparrow books 1-3 written by India Kells. The characters are well written and strong. The story line is unique and different that’s why I fell in love with this series. The twist and turns in these books are awesome…

Book, one has
Deva Landry is assigned to babysit bad-boy cage fighter Aleksei Voronov, forcing her back into the murky underworld of Chicago. Prepared for the worst, she’s shocked to uncover a kindred spirit, a wounded soul like hers. Chaos strikes and the two are thrown together on an impromptu mission to stop a city-wide massacre.

Book Two has
Zoe Somersby is a strong woman, independent, and sought for her code-breaking and translation skills is sent in undercover and finds herself falling for the man she has been sent to help Archer Blackwood.
Archer Blackwood is a hard cold man he is a British businessmen trying to sell his company in Chicago. He is also ruthless businessman that likes to control everything and everyone, no exceptions. Ever.
She knows how power and money can corrupt a man. For those reasons she became a Dark Sparrow. So, she finds this mission amusing at the beginning. That was until the menace turns darker and her attraction to Archer becomes overwhelming.

Book three has
Isabel Osborne learned early that when life gives you lemons, grab the salt and find some tequila. Before her life took an unexpected path, she found her prince charming in the form of a laughing surfer. The tragedy was that she couldn’t keep him, and even worse, had to break his heart.

But when he comes face to face with a siren from his past, his mighty control is shattered and replaced by hatred and bitterness. How can he rein in his resentment toward the woman who betrayed him and focus on the mission?

Demon’s Angel: Satan’s Devils MC (Colorado Chapter) #2 by Manda Mellett

5 out of 5 stars

This isn’t the first book that I have read by Ms. Mellett and I have to say her work gets better with every book that I have read, Demon’s Angel in the second book in the Colorado Chapter of Satan’s Devils MC. The characters are strong and well written, and the plot was great it had me reading this book in one sitting.

Demon promised his best friend he’d watch over his little sister, a debt he considered paid when she was grown and settled out of state. Now ten years later she’s back in their town, this time with a baby in tow. She needs help, he can give it as a replacement big brother of course.

When Violet meet Demon again, she realis’s her feelings have matured, but not changed over the years. She still wants him. He doesn’t see her that way, treating her just like he would a sister. Stepping into Nathan’s shoes to help her out of trouble. She does need help should she take the chance on Demon helping her or walking away?
She is being dragged into a war and she is dragging the Satan Devils with her can they win?
I highly recommend this book/series…

Friend is the third book in What Happens on Campus series written by Ms. Sparrow. Friend is an adult sports /nerd romance that hits all the right spots. We get to see plenty of action on this campus. This isn’t my first read by this author and she didn’t disappoint me in Paladin’s Hell the first book in the Satan’s Devils MC Colorado Chapter written by Ms. Mellett. The characters are great especially since we have already met them. They are well written, and I loved the plot.
Jayden and Paladin relationship has been building through-out the Satan’s Devil series. They met two years ago she has been in love with him as he is in love with her. Paladin gave her time grow and had to wait years for her because she was to young. He knew without a doubt she was his girl.
Now they’re on their way to a new compound in Colorado away from overprotective brothers they finally have a chance to be together or so they thought.
Jayden and Paladin are just beginning a new club, a new life. But things are different here he doesn’t fit in and he is out of his depth. So instead of the beginning is it the end?

For some reason, Hellfire the president and Moira his old lady wants to force Jayden and I apart. They have been married for thirty-six years and their marriage is on shaky ground spills over into how they treat them. Is it because they see themselves in the younger couple or can it be their just miserable and don’t want to see anyone around them happy?
Will they make it work or will outside forces break them apart? Will they get their happily ever-after? You must read this great book and find out.

WOW Forbidden is the first book in this erotic series written by Autumn Sand. This isn’t my first read by this author but I have to say she blew my mind with this book. I didn’t know if I liked or hated the book but it turned out I loved it.

Each chapter is with a different unique couple and their troubles in their relationships and sex lives. We walk through seven doors with forbidden pleasures and we don’t know what we are walking into because in Forbidden there are no rules.

I really enjoyed this story and I loved the strong woman and how they either put their men in place or just walked away from said men. I can’t wait to see what Ms. Sand has in-stored for us in her next installment.

The story Not So Wrong (Love Grows Book 2) by Renee Regent is a contemporary/new adult romance book and it’s the second book that I have read by this author. The characters are well written and amazing and the things that they had to deal with in this story made them feel real. The plot was awesome.
What happens when a billionaire who can’t face his past and an independent woman who has given up on her future meet? They have nothing in common except music so what can they offer each other? Will the perfect song give them a future, or tear them apart?
Melanie after years of trying to make it as a singer, it’s time to stop chasing a dream that won’t come true. Her family needs her, and soon she’ll be leaving Atlanta for good. But Spencer Colebank is tempting her to stay, with hope the song they wrote together will win us a record deal.

Truck Stopped by Manda Mellett

4 out of 5 stars

Truck Stopped is book eleven in Satan Devils series written by Manda Mellett and it’s the second book in this series that I have read. I was a little lost since I haven’t read many books in this series so I wasn’t familiar with the flash backs. This was a well written story with great main characters that are damaged both physically and emotionally.

This is Truck and Allie’s story and it’s not a pretty story. They show us their strength in what they have endured, they also show us their passion for each other. This is a very emotional read that will make you laugh and cry I needed a box of tissues.

Truck is damaged emotionally and scarred physically so will he let Allie in to help him? Can Allie show Truck that he can still have a normal life? Can she show him that she wants him for himself that their chemistry is real? Will this damaged couple be-able to have a happily ever after?
You will have to read this story to find out…

5 out of 5 stars
Eternity is the final book in the Captivity written by Sarah Biglow and Molly Zenk. This is a Paranormal Romance with a twist where shifters are captive in the future and what will they risk breaking free? This is a great read I loved the characters and their quirks the way they play off each other is amazing
Will one more mission to The City be the end of their freedom or will it kill them?
Aiden, Lorelei and their loved ones thought they were finally safe in Sanctuary. When they uncover a plot to put all shifters at risk, a decision must be made will they cling to their isolationist freedom or risk everything to protect their people.
Aiden is his healthiest he’s ever been and his relationship with Xander is working out great. Lorelei focus is on the baby and her relationship with Douglas. They just found out that the Booshie elite plans to poison the water supply with blood graft.
Lorelei feels as long as the deadly plot affects shifters outside of Sanctuary, she convinces herself it’s not her problem. When Douglas reminds her helping others is what the MCU stands for, will she leave their baby to join the final fight?
Can they survive the City again? Will they be-able to stop the Booshie’s plants poison the water? What will happen if they fail?

Simply Irresistible: A Totally Sweet Love Story by Jennifer L. Allen

5 out of 5 stars

Simply Irresistible A Totally Sweet Love Story written by Jennifer L. Allen is the second book that I have read by this author. The characters are well written and play off each other so well with their decade music and movies. I just love the little quirks. The plot is awesome and the scenery is great especially the way the author described NYC.
Melanie Katsaros is socially awkward but she is also an executive assistant for a women’s fashion magazine she loves her job and her boss but, she has aspiring dreams she just has to get the nerve up to talk to her boss about such dreams.
Tyler Scott works as an executive assistant to the editor of a men’s magazine and he hates his job. His boss is not a pleasant man. But Tyler has grander aspirations, this is just a stepping stone. Tyler doesn’t have any trouble finding women, it’s staying with them that is his problem. He can finally admit to himself that he self-sabotages his relationships. Maybe he just hasn’t found the right woman yet.
He first saw the beautiful woman with the big green eyes in the elevator at work. He is instantly intrigued and is determined to find a way to get her to go out with him. She seen him before in her office building and he was totally awesome to look at and his suits cling to him, he has a hot bod, too. And it’s another missed opportunity to see if he wants to do lunch.
These two are so perfect for each other and I loved reading this story and can’t wait to read more of this authors work.

5 out of 5 stars
Proper Impulse is the fourth book on the Jaded Lily series written by Ms. Jameson and I have read three of the books in this series and the stories just get better and better. The characters are well written and I loved their quirky ways and we also catch up with characters from previous books.
They sat opposites attract well Milo and Juniper (Juni) are defiantly opposite. Milo is straight lace follows the rules and he doesn’t afford room for anything but upholding the law to the fullest extent.
Juniper has a passion for helping those who can’t necessarily help themselves. Sometimes in a way that isn’t exactly legal. There is no harm in it as long as it’s for a good cause.
So what happens when these two meet it starts off awkward start but you could see the sparks.

Even though this book could be read as a standalone, I recommend reading the other three books in this series first, because I think knowing what happens in the first two books will enhance your reading experience of this book and you will love the book/series…

Aiko is the first book in The Heartstrings Series written by Brooke May and it’s the first book that I have read by this author but it won’t be my last. The story line is very different which I like and the characters are well written. I loved the little quirks they have.

Aiko is back after a forty-year exile. She has been given another opportunity to help humanity.
Alejandro Gomez is everything a woman could dream of in looks. His romantic abilities gyrate to the beat of mariachi. He is also Aiko’s new assignment.

Aiko is the worst cupid she is responsible for extermination of civilizations, plagues, and possibly the worst tragedy in human history may rest on her tiny shoulders.

Can Aiko help Alejandro find love or will she create another deadly consequence?

I simply enjoyed this story and I’m looking forward in reading the next book in this series?

Act II. Playing with Fire (Moore Family Saga, #2) by Michele Sims

5 out of 5 stars

Act II playing with fire in the second book in the Moore Family Saga written by Ms. Sims this book was awesome I love this book/series. The characters are still amazing and well written and the storyline was awesome.

We get to see Cade and Lecia Moore’s and what has happened in the last few years. Cade’s music career has taken off and while finishing a schedule of gigs in Paris, he gets a call from his brother Vincent back in the states, who has been watching over his son, Miles, and his wife, Lecia.

Vincent has some surprising news. Miles, now seven, is showing extraordinary abilities that allow him to produce fire. As a member of the Network, a secret society with nearly bottomless resources, Vincent has been able to determine that Miles’s abilities aren’t unique but an extremely rare genetic mutation.

Cade returns to the states to be with his family, but it’s clear that life cannot go on as normal when Miles suffers from an intense illness that leaves him immobile and mute for days. Through Vincent’s Network contacts, Cade and Lecia are able to find adequate care for Miles at a facility that understands his condition.
On top on Miles fire ability he shows an affinity for several other skills, from writing as a result of his extensive vocabulary, to singing and dancing.
I loved reading this story/series so far and can’t wait to get my hands on the third book in this series and see what Ms. Sims has in-stored for us next…
I highly recommend this book/series

Too Hot to Handle (The Catch #3) by Avery Scott

5 out of 5 stars

This is the first book that I have read by this author Too Hot To Handle is the third book in the Catch series written by Ms. Scott. I simply fell in love with this couple Tony and Georgia. They were an awesome couple. The Main characters are well written and simply great. I loved there quirks. The story line was great and different.

Georgia “Gigi” Sinclair has it all in the spot light. Just look at her social media feed. It’s full of designer clothes, first class travel and snapshots of her TV-star fiancé. But behind the scenes, things are a bit more complicated.

Tony is a hot firefighter all his friends are getting tied down and he’s still the resident playboy, so his inner monologue is entertaining but when he meets Georgia the sparks fly and Tony wants to play with fir when it comes to Georgia.
These two come from different worlds can they make it? Can Tony help Georgia? Will they have a happily ever after.
You need to read this great book…

The Embers We Seek (A Rebel Princess Serial, #1) by Acacia K. Parker

5 out of 5 stars

The Embers We Seek is book one in A Rebel Princess Serial, written by Acacia K. Parker was a gripping read that had me hooked from start to finish. This is the first book that I have read by this author. Wow I really enjoyed this short story and can’t wait until I get to read the next part in this series. The main character is well written with a strong sense of duty. The story line was unique and different.

There were some parts in this short story that reminded me of Game of Thorns but instead of Dragons we had Hell hounds. (And I loved Game of Thrones). LOL

Wren is a captain and is sworn to protect the soldiers she leads into battle, which includes preventing a potential massacre in an upcoming campaign that could mean the end of the war in hero’s. But defying orders from her Lord could mean a noose around her neck. That if she gets caught.

I don’t want to go into too much and give the storyline away but this is a must read…. I highly enjoyed it.

Steele Resolve (The Hawke Family Book 6) by Gwyn McNamee – Review by Tracy Manderson

Steele Resolve (Hawke Family #6) by Gwyn McNamee

5 out of 5 stars

Cannot be read as a standalone….

Steele Resolve is the sixth book in the Hawke family series written by Gwyn McNamee and it’s the final book in this series and I’m sad for this series to end. The characters are amazing and well developed and the storyline was great especially that it’s the last book in this series.

Luca “Steele” Abello isn’t just dangerous he is a mob boss and he’s lethal. He is a master manipulator, liar, and user, no one should trust a word that comes out of his mouth. But he has come back to New Orleans to clean his family name up. He even wants to make up with his friends/family the Hawke’s that he hasn’t seen in years. There’s a catch they don’t trust him. He kept going back, even though he is risking Bryon and his own if they continue their indiscretion. The truth of what he is could get them both killed, but being with the man who’s such an integral part of the Hawke family is even more terrifying.

Byron Harris works for the Hawke’s. He didn’t know who Luca was until he walked into the club. He never should have let it go beyond that first night, but he couldn’t stay away. The only people he ever cared about are on opposing sides, and I’m the rift that could end their friendship forever.

I highly recommend this book/series. I hope we will see these characters in some other work by this amazing author…

Never Let Me Go (Bayou Devils MC #6) by A.M. Myers

5 out of 5 stars

Never let me go is the sixth book in the Bayou Devils MC series written by A.M. Myers and I have read every book in this series and I love it… The characters are amazing and well written and the secondary charcters with their quirky ways just makes this a great book. The plot is awesome.

Juliette Shaw has it all a thriving business, a beautiful home, loyal friends, and a gorgeous fiancé but she doesn’t remember any of it. After a horrific car accident steals her father’s life and five years of her memory, she is lost in a world she doesn’t recognize and is desperately searching for answers. Nothing feels right and behind each clue from her past are more questions, so she does the only thing she can do she runs home to Baton Rouge.

Sawyer Michelson, brother of the Bayou Devils MC, picks crazy girls so he is swearing off woman until he gets his stuff together. He looks intimidating as hell and a smart girl like Juliette knows better than to accept a ride from a stranger but there’s something about his deep blue eyes that puts Juliette at ease and pulls her in. He makes her heart race and the longer she spends with him, the more she discovers the sweet, funny, and loyal man beneath the mask. But even a thousand miles from home, danger seems to find her, leaving Juliette to wonder if it’s just bad luck or if she is in more trouble than she realized.
Is someone trying to kill Juliette? Can Sawyer find out who it is before it’s too late? Will Juliette and Sawyer have a happily ever after? You will need to read this story to find out.
You can read this as a standalone but I suggest you read the whole series…

Tracking Numbers by Janice M. Whiteaker
5 out of 5 stars
Tracking Numbers is the first book that I have read by this author and I loved it I finished this book in one sitting. The characters are well written with strong personalities the secondary characters made the main characters. The Plot was different than other MC Books which I liked.
Tracker president ordered him to protect his daughter Kerri, but keeping the president’s daughter safe was harder than he expected. Hell, finding her was harder than he expected. Once he did, all he could do was grab her and hold on tight. If he let go, she gets hurt. If he don’t, he’s the one on the line.
Kerri thought she got away breaking free of her father’s ties was the hardest thing I she’s ever done–until now. She tried to bury past, but its back and it looks a whole lot better than she remembers. But that’s not the life she want and she can’t go back. She won’t. No matter how enticing the lure of Tracker can be.
Can Tracker keep Kerri safe? Who is really after Kerri? Will Kerri keep fighting Tracker? Will they have a happily ever after? You need to read this great book in order to find out.

Act I: Seed on Fire (Moore Family Saga) by Michele Sims
5 out of 5 stars

Act I: Seed on Fire is book one in the Moore Family Saga written by Michele Sims. This is also the first book that I have read by this author and I will be reading more of her work. The characters are well written with strong personalities while the secondary characters helped with their quirkiness. The storyline was great and different and the way this author described the scenes made it seem like I was there. There were a few twist and bumps in their road but they made it through this together.
Kaiden and Alicia Moore, originally from North Carolina, are enjoying a life full of love and passion. As a young, professional couple who had made their home in New York City, they were busy balancing their careers with the demands of their new marriage which as fate would have it, included an unexpected bundle of joy. They got pregnant on their honeymoon and so began their adventure.
Nothing in their lives together has ever been typical and their relationship will forever be changed by a series of nightmares that threaten their love and the life of their unborn child. Will their commitment to each other and support of their family be enough to cope with their challenges? Will they support each other or walk away from each other?
You have to read this amazing story….
