Snatching Dianna (Feisty Lawyers #1) by Seelie Kay
4 out of 5 stars
Snatching Dianna is the first book in the Feisty Lawyer series written by Seelie Kay and it’s the first book that I have read by this author. This book isn’t really my kind of reading but I enjoyed this short story. This story contains intrigue, suspense, humor, action, adventure, danger, drama, and some romance.
Dianna Murphy a Milwaukee law student has been kidnapped. Her roommate reports her missing, but unfortunately, without witnesses and solid evidence, all the police really know is that she is missing.
In steps in Law Professor Janet MacLachlan, a former covert agent, she discovers a single clue, one that points to a taking by a slave trafficking cartel. In a race against time, Janet recruits her husband, secret agent Cade Matthews, small-town Police Chief David Manders and his wife, criminal defense attorney Julianna Constant, and other law students to uncover the truth.
Can they prove that Dianna was taken against her will? Will she be lost forever if they can’t find any-more clues about her disappearance?
The characters are great and well written, the plot was good. This book was easy to read. I recommend this book.

A Suitable Affair (The Macalisters #1) by Erica Taylor
4 out of 5 stars

A Suitable Affair is the first in the Macalisters series written by Erica Taylor and it was really good. I haven’t read a Victorian romance with intrigue in quite a few years so I really enjoyed the story. The characters are strongly written and the loved the banter and quirkiness from them as well.
Lady Susanna Macalister’s is beautiful and wealthy but her marriage prospects are rather lacking. She doesn’t want a life of spinsterhood, so she decides a loveless marriage to Lord Riverton is better than none at all even if he dull. While out strolling in the park she nearly trampled by the handsome Earl of Westcott as he rides through Hyde Park. The earl embraces this chance encounter as an opportunity for vengeance, for Lord Riverton is the very man whom Wescott suspects is responsible for the death of his sister.
He takes it upon his self to warn Lady Susanna but she is surprises him she is not what she seems…. As they get to know each other she realizes she might have found what she was looking for all along. Wescott starts this thing simply a desire to save another unsuspecting lady from his sister’s fate, or something deeper?
Will Wescott find Riverton guilty? Will he be able to save Susanna? Will Susanna get her love story? You will have to read this great story to find out what happens….

A Tendency Dark and Dangerous written by Emmalyn Danvers is a great debut story for this author. It’s sexy, hot, dark, and quite addictive. I just couldn’t put it down and when I got to the last page I was cursing because I wanted more. The characters are great and the emotions in the words where awesome I just loved it.

Building Storm: (A Hawke Family Novel) (Hawke Family #4) by Gwyn McNamee

5 out of 5 stars

Building Storm is the fourth book in the Hawke Family series written by Gwyn McNamee and I have to say is WOW…. This is an emotional story about two broken people that have known loss and finding love again. Ms. McNamee’s writing is exceptionally good, the plot sucks you in from the first page and keeps you fully engrossed until the last page. Her characters are well developed and amazing, we even get to see some characters from the first three books and we see what they are up to.
Can two broken people make each other whole?
We read a little about Storm in the first few books…. Her life went up in flames when she lost the love of her life, all she has left is her daughter and ashes. The simple act of breathing is so excruciating, there are days she couldn’t get it together. She has no business being at the party that she doesn’t want to be at, and she definitely shouldn’t be in the arms of the handsome stranger.
Landon is broken for different reasons and he needs to get away from Chicago and the betrayal that shattered his world. He needs a new life-one without attachments. The vibrancy of New Orleans convinces himself it’s possible to start over. Yet in all the excitement of a new city, it’s Storm Hawke’s dark, sad beauty that draws him in.
She isn’t looking for love, and they both need a hot, sweaty release without feelings getting involved. So when his lips meet hers, and he breathes life into her for the first time since the day the inferno disintegrated her world. But loving again isn’t in the cards, and there are even greater dangers to face than trying to keep Landon McCabe out of her heart.
But even the best laid plans fail, and life can leave you burned….
You will need to read this story/series to find out about what happens to this amazing couple. I can’t wait to see what Ms. McNamee has in-store for us with her next installment of The Hawke family series.
I highly recommend this book/series.

The Way You Are is the fifth book in the Carolina Connections written by Sylvie Stewart and I have read every book in this series and I loved them. Ms. Stewarts writing just gets better with each story/book. The characters are crazy but fun crazy that feed of the crazy. They are well developed and we even get to see our favorite couples from the first few books.
Brett MacKinnon, is a nice guy and a frequent resident of the friend zone. He has terrible taste in woman. So when Brett hears this tiny little girl with the booming voice he goes and talks to her. He is determined to ditch the friend zone and show her he is boyfriend material. Too bad the position’s already been filled by a ball-playing caveman who could flatten him with his pinky.
LIV: There are really only three things she needs in life: sex, baseball, and winning. Her hot boyfriend and season tickets take care of the first two, while she always do her best to cover the last. So developing an unexpected crush on a new friend is more than a little inconvenient. She doesn’t have anything but friendship to offer Brett, but with the way he looks at her, and makes her feel things he has her wishing she did.
BRETT: Has been put in the friend zone so often, they’ve got a sandwich named after him. You’d think he’d be used to it by now. But when it comes to the delectable Liv and he will pull out all the stops to show her he is the guy for her.
Can Brett get out of the friend zone what will it take for Liv to see him more than a friend? You will have to read this great book to find out.

Written in the Stars (Fallen Eagles MC Book 2) by T. Birmingham
5 out of 5 stars
Written in the stars is the second book in the Fallen Eagles MC written by Ms. Birmingham and my second read by this author. The characters are well written and I love how real this author made them real. The plot was great even if a little sad with few little twists.
Davis “Eagle” Landon has given up a lot for his country an eye, a leg, time with his kids. He’s retired the owner of several businesses and the President of the Golden Trail, PA Veteran MC, Fallen Eagles, this former Texan has his roots firmly planted. He’s ready to settle down again, and only one woman will do.
Winter is different she is sensitive and a bit of a loner. She is quiet and often sarcastic. She’s also the owner of the best (and only) salon in town. As the youngest Markham, she’s seen firsthand the many struggles her older sisters have endured, and as much as the prospect scares her, she’s ready for a love that’s all her own. And, well… She might look like a fairytale to Eagle, but Winter has always preferred her men a little rough around the edges.
Winter has a darker history than anyone realizes, and with a serial murderer/rapist who doesn’t discriminate between males or females terrorizing the Philadelphia area, no one is safe.
Will Eagle find the serial murderer/rapist before he or she grabs Winter? Will they find their other half in each other? I really enjoyed this story and I hope the next installment is about Hammond and Autumn…

The Crazy Yates is written by Kimberly Packard and it’s the first book that I have read by this author. The characters are amazing, the storyline is great and the description is awesome.
This is a short Christmas story about a family down on their luck but they have each other.
Callie Yates loved her family unconditionally, how she simply stepped up to the plate and did what had to be done for her family. She soon realizes how she also had lost herself and how she needed to be reminded of what a true family is and let them in.

Wow Awakening of a Soul Keeper is the prequel to the Soul keeper series written by Ms. Dubh is amazing and my first read by her. I love these kind of series and this book intrigued me so I had to read this book and I was glad that I did. The characters are amazing especially since all of the crap they are going through. This story ends in a cliffhanger and also contains friends-to-lovers with second chances, heartbreak, loss, friendship, stardom, heart-ache, emotion, drama, mystery, and more.
Beats of the Heart is the first book in Dawson and Izzy’s story written by Charli B. Rose and it’s the first book that I have read by this author. The characters are amazing and realistic and I loved their quirky ways. The plot was great and the descriptions of the places this author wrote about brought the story more realistic.
You could see pretty quickly Dawson love and his devotion. Izzy was a good heroine, trying to be supportive of her man’s career and dream while still solidifying her own identity. (Even when the insecurities would come out)…. What happened to Lizzie? Why did Dawson flake on Lizzie?

Guilty Pleasures Volume 2 by Joyce McCarthy

4 out of 4 stars
Guilty pleasure is Volume 2 written by Joyce McCarthy is a collection of erotic short stories that explore lust, chance encounters, and fantasies come to life, they are like the literature version of adult movies you see on https://www.nu-bay.com/categories/134/blonde. This is my first read by this author and it was great. The stories were really well done, but too short. Since this book is short I really don’t want to give anything away so I will just say. We read about five different erotic encounters that are woven in this book. They are fast paced and are extremely quick reads.
So if you’re looking for a quick erotic read this is your book/series…

A Tangy Christmas Kiss by Allyson R. Abbott
5 out of 5 stars
A Tangy Christmas kiss is the second book in this series written by Allyson Abbott. Is a wonderful romantic holiday book. It weaves a story that has you laughing and feeling the magic and romance in others through the holidays. It also shows the importance of family and what you would do for family. The characters are amazing…. The plot is great and I love the description and details this author puts into her story/stories. They feel so believable that I had a hard time putting this book down.
Mel, gets a call from her mother requesting, that she flies to Spain to house sit for her aunt. To be honest, she’s glad for a change of scenery after recent turn of events with her latest boyfriend, and she is looking forward to Christmas in the sun, planning to spend many days on the beach. Let the fun begin.
The journey takes forever due to misunderstanding of the different timelines and consequently Mel misses her ‘handover’ of tasks and a lift from her aunt. Jetlag, lack of the Spanish language and having no knowledge of geography of Spain, all she has is her aunt’s address, a headache and an overwhelming urge to sleep.
While on her flight she meets an extremely sexy Spanish passenger who is seated next to her on her flight. He takes her under his wing to make sure she arrives safely and stays to help her out, even though he only speaks Spanish, so Mel has no idea what he is talking about. But hey, you can’t turn away a great looking man in your hour of need!
As things turn bad to worse, she now doubles up on handsome hero’s, as her aunt’s friendly (extremely gorgeous and English speaking) neighbor, decides that it is he, who should be helping, not the interloper from the airplane.
Mel should have question why her mother couldn’t go? Why her mother is never there when she calls? And why her aunts needs a house-sitter for a bungalow on the beach?
You need to read this awesome story and find out what happens to Mel and her men. Who will she pick can she even decide?

Dangerous ground is Tina and Chase’s story written by Alice Rachel and I really enjoyed this story even if it was a little long. I simple love her work. She has this unique way of telling her story that has you stepping into her world and the characters are well developed.

Felicity Found (Rogue Series Book 6) by Lara Ward Cosio
5 out of 5 stars
Felicity Found is the sixth book in the Rogue Series written by Lara Ward Cosio is an amazing read and Ms. Cosio did an outstanding job portraying Felicity and the rest of the gang. The characters are well written everyday rock stars that have everyday worries like real everyday people. I loved their quirks and the way these characters lay off of each other.
Felicity has had great disappointments in life that have been overshadowed by even greater blessings this includes her husband, world-renowned rock guitar god, Conor Quinn, and their two beautiful babies. She knows she is a very fortunate person so, why does everything feel so off?
Conor think Felicity an amazing mother. Until he come’s home one night to find her in a rare state. She barely has her head above water but she still makes it all work, despite how she tears herself down over not being perfect. How his he going to fix her can he fix her?
I highly recommend this book/series and recommend reading the series in order sso you can follow along with the way Rogue was formed.

Killmore (Killmore #1) by Martha Sweeney

5 out of 5 stars

This is the first book that I have read by Ms. Sweeney. I didn’t know if I hated this book or loved it but I just couldn’t put it down. This story is suspenseful, action packed, with pull your hair out emotionally, intense ride and this is the story for you.

I loved Laurie she was such an amazing character with everything she has been through she doesn’t trust easily and she looks over her shoulder all the time.
She knows not to look to anyone else to keep her safe she can only depend on herself. The last thing she needs a man especially a Fed. But is he the one she has to watch out for or is her past coming back to haunt her.

The characters in this book are well developed and I loved the banter with the Snarky comments that were thrown at each other they made me laugh because the comments were out of this world. I loved the way they always kept each other wanting although never giving too much away.

Can the Feds keep Laurie safe? Will Laurie be able to trust men again? Will Laurie have a happily ever after?

Like I said earlier I didn’t know if I loved this book or hated it but this was a funny action pack romance with a cliffhanger. I can’t wait to see what Ms. Sweeney has instore for us in book two of this series.

My Free Life: Prequel to The Brothers of Camelot (My Life Series Book 3) by Necie Navone
5 out of 5 stars
My Free Life is a Prequel to The Brothers of Camelot (My Life Series Book 3) written by Necie Navone and I love the three part series. This is the conclusion to my life series and I hope we get to see some of the amazing characters I have come to love in The Brothers Camelot series.
The characters are amazing I fell in love with them and watched how they grew into amazing people. Especially Alessandra aka Aless she was one fantastic teenager turned woman with the world on her shoulders. The characters are well written and their quirkiness and banter was great. The plot is great it has danger, intimidation, fights, death, love and a very protective family. She is one bad girl/woman in a good way….LOL
Alessandra, is the Princess of the Canzano crime Family, she was introduced to the dangers of her family’s world at the young age of six when a rival family left her bleeding and scared on her birthday. Duty. Responsibility. Family. Three words that form the gilded cage she lived in all her life. But she want to escape no be the princess she wants to be an ordinary woman…
Freedom. Something the majority of the people on this Earth enjoy and take for granted. Something she’s never had. Something she want more than anything.
When she left for University, she thought her life wouldn’t be quite so tragic…Ha! She is now the Capo Donna, in charge of the Family and its businesses located in Northern Italy. But her tyrant of a father/capo is in a power struggle and it comes to a head when some of my closest friends find themselves caught in a dangerous situation.
In order to save them, she needs switch flip, in side of her the one she hate’s, in order to be what they need her to be to save them. The monster her Papa insisted she become, the one he can no longer control. The assassin. The side of her fears she will destroy her soul if she can’t escape from the Family…
Will she ever be able to wash the blood off her hands? Can she ever be absolved of the lives she has taken? This is the final straw.
As friends and loved ones begin finding their Happily Ever After, she know it’s time to escape. They’ll all be fine. They have their One and Only. It’s time for her to be Free… so she can find her One and only….
I loved this series it was great Ms. Navone has a new fan I can’t wait to see what she has in-stored for us next….

My Tragic Life: Prequel to the Brothers of Camelot by Necie Navone

My Tragic life is a prequel to the Brothers of Camelot written by Necie Navone and she did not disappoint me I just simply love this 3book series and the characters. Especially Alessandra aka Aless she was one fantastic teenager with the world on her shoulders. The characters are well written and their quirkiness and banter was great. The plot is great it has danger, intimidation, fights, and a very protective family. She is one bad teenager girl in a good way….LOL
Alessandra, is the Princess of the Canzano crime Family, she was introduced to the dangers of her family’s world at the young age of six when a rival family left her bleeding and scared on her birthday. Duty. Responsibility. Family. Three words that form the gilded cage she lived in all her life.
She is the Princess of the Canzano Family, a title many would think to be glamorous, amazing. Well, the glamorous part would be accurate, but that’s where it ends. She is absolutely miserable. She has been training since she was six years old to protect the Family… a side of her that she need to keep hidden. She must appear to be the perfectly polished Princess at all times, a ruse and title she really despise.
She gets no choice in anything, everything is controlled for me by her father, the Capo who is a tyrant when it comes to Aless. She wishes and dreams for the freedom to be HERSELF. When a rival Family strikes causing her life to be turned upside down, she didn’t think things could get any worse and then she learns how wrong she is and now she is forced to become her worst nightmare in order to protect the Family she wants no part of.
Her life went from being bearable misery to nothing short of Tragic…. I loved this story it was great and different from other mafia romanced… Ms. Navone has a new fan and I can’t wait to read what she has in-stored for us….

SILK ROAD (Code Raven, #6) by Lynda Filler
5 out of 5 stars
Silk Road in the sixth book in the Code Raven series written by Lynda Filler. I read the prequel on book one and two but missed books three-five so I will be going back to read those books because this is an amazing series. Ms. Filler is an amazing author and this series is dead on in the evil that’s going on in this world. The characters are well written and there banter is amazing. They are not related by blood and come from all across the world even have some difference in beliefs but there is one thing you can count on in this story/series they are a family and want to help save the world.
A new Silk Road train stretches from the eastern shores of Yiwu China to London, England. Its precious cargo is not what’s written on the manifest.
A former Navy SEAL gets a terrifying message from his estranged daughter. “I’m desperate! I need your help, Dad. Bring your friends!”
When two young children are abducted in the middle of the night from Raven’s sanctuary in the Maldives, Luci, Luke, and the Raven Group will stop at nothing to get them back.
A female teenager in Kyrgyzstan is reported missing by tearful peasants. Has she become one of many kidnapped brides? Or is something far more frightening going on? The corrupt authorities ignore the parents’ pleas for help.
We get to see the gang from the Raven group what they do best saving lives.
Highly recommend this story/series…..
