Our Unexpected Hope by Michelle Sullivan

5 out of 5 stars
Our unexpected hope written by Michelle Sullivan is an awesome read and a continuous to our next chapter where we met Quinn, Karalyn and Dex were amazing and still strong willed. I had so many different emotions reading this book I laughed cried and I was also pissed at what the main characters had to go through, but they were strong and made it.
Seeing the love that Quinn’s parents have for one another she is a hopeless romantic. She hope’s that she could someday find a love like that for herself. What she found with Noah was even better than she ever dreamed possible.
Noah has never known love growing up with the feeling of being unwanted. Shuffled from home to home in his youth, adulthood gave him the freedom to make something of himself. He had all he could ever want until Quinn walked into his life and changed everything.
I highly recommend this book so join Quinn and Noah on their journey of love, loss and the most unexpected gift they never saw coming.

Must Love Fashion (Darling Cove #1) by Deborah Garland
4 out of 5 stars

Must Love Fashion is book one in the Darling Cove series written by Deborah Garland and this is the first book that I read by this author and I enjoyed the story. This is a story about two people finding love amidst the kayatic and frenetic pace of a top fashion house. The story line was great and believable, the characters were well written and realistic.
We meet Andrew Morgan, a former male model turned brand manager meets his match in Gwendolyn Mallory, a beautiful small-town public relations specialist he doesn’t think he needs.
She was hired to turn the fashion world upside down…not his.
Gwen sets out to prove she has what it takes to promote a prestigious brand like Prada. Andrew is already struggling to accept his PR responsibilities have been taken away from him, but the intense attraction he has for Gwen is just plain getting in the way of rational thinking—sleeping with a co-worker has always been on his to-don’t list. But Gwen challenges everything Andrew believes about love and relationships as he puts aside his heartbreaking past to have the woman, he never knew he needed.
I highly recommend this story and I can’t wait to see what else this author has writes.

Small Town Hero (Small Town Brides #1) by Kim Koby – Review by Tracy Manderson

Small Town Hero (Small Town Brides #1) by Kim Koby
5 out of 5 stars
Small Town Hero is the first book in the Small-Town Brides written by Kim Koby and it’s the first book that I have read by this author. I just loved Ryan and his beliefs and how he is an all-around great guy. Then you have Rebecca she has standards and beliefs that she stands by. This is a love story about betrayal, finding oneself, new beginning and finding the one love.
After a crushing betrayal, Rebecca spins out of control when she catches her fiancé and best friend in bed together. She was saving herself for marriage. Grief-stricken and desperate, she finds herself stranded in Tennessee and forced to rely on the kindness of a stranger.
Ryan knows heartache the only woman he loved walked away the day he proposed to her. He knew in that instant he’d never trust his heart to another. At least he has his dog to keep him company and a good job as a local firefighter.
When Rebecca ends up in Ryan’s path, they blend like oil and water. While he’s content with what life gives him, she escapes by seeking her identity in expensive things. Can two broken souls find salvation with their complete opposite?
I highly recommend this story and can’t wait to see what Ms. Koby has in-stored for us in the next book.

Painting Kuwait Violet by Pamela Q. Fernandes
4 out of 5 stars

Painting Kuwait Violet written by Pamela Q. Fernandes is the first book that I have read by this author. This is a different kind of book than I’m use to reading. The characters are well written and the description of Kuwait is awesome I could picture myself walking along the dessert. The story was great but I hated that women are mere possessions to be manipulated. Yes I know this is an everyday thing in certain countries.
Violet Baretto graduates in 1996 and leaves Goa to work in oil-rich Kuwait as a maid for a wealthy Kuwaiti woman. To her horror, she finds herself accused of theft, her colleagues assaulted, thrown from moving cars or performing favors.
Violet is well educated and intelligent and she takes this job because jobs are tight and no one is hiring in her field. She takes the job and form an unusual alliance with the Kuwaiti matriarch Sabah Dashti. Sabah is hiding something from Violet the police think this matriarch is running a prostitution ring because nine of Sabah’s previous maids have absconded, five of them were found pregnant.
Kuwait is still patriarchal and women are second-class citizens. Despite their differences, both Sabah and Violet are hungry for success. But a woman-hating, killer has set eyes on them and will not let them succeed at any cost.
Like I said earlier this is a great story but I hate that woman are second-class citizens in this part of the world. I recommend this story

The Only One (Brothers of Camelot, #1) by Necie Navone
5 out of 5 stars
The Only One is book one in the Brothers of Camelot series written by Necie Navone and it’s the first book that I have read by this author and it surely won’t be the last. The characters are well written with strong personalities and the banter is awesome. I really enjoyed the story plot with the Camelot fairy tale but it’s modern. I especially loved Mom Gregory and the way she accepted Fitz and mad him a part of the family.
Drake, aka Fitz, was dealt a tragic hand from the beginning. He had to adjust to Pain and rejection but that all melted away when a little girl named Isabella aka Belle with huge brown eyes, strawberry blonde curls and an explosive personality, walked into his new home and his heart.
They were inseparable as kids, she’s was literally ripped from his arms when they where teens. Convincing himself he’s unworthy of her, he closed himself off to all future relationships, refusing to open his heart to anyone else. If only she would come back to him.
Can a man whore whose motto is “One and Done” keep it in his pants long enough to win back the trust of his childhood sweetheart?
Isabella, with her unique personality, returns to her childhood town to start her own business, and prove she doesn’t need her mother, or a man, to feel complete. Thanks to her first love, her father’s betrayal and a slew of bad relationships, she’s locked her heart away, hidden behind her smile and sweet disposition. She’s found peace in her memories of Drake, hoping he’ll finally contact her, or maybe she’ll find the nerve to contact him.
Can their long-lost love be rekindled or do they need a little help from their friends?
I highly recommend this book and cant wait to see what Ms. Navone has in-stored for us next…

5 out of 5 stars

The Jack is the second book in the Immortal series written by M.K. Harkens. I have read a few books by this author and her works get better and better I really enjoy her work. This book/series is a paranormal/romance with difficult choices and betrayal. The characters are well written and amazing I loved the way they interacted with each other. The way this author described the scenery was incredible and I could picture myself there.
Archer is a half breed, caught between two opposing heritages the Jacks, are a bloodthirsty race who kills for sport, and the Readers, are a docile race trying to save humankind. Two years ago, he betrayed the Readers, though, in a last-minute change of heart, saved them from ultimate destruction. But now he’s all alone, wallowing in unrequited love.
Should he save the Anne the woman he loves but can never have, protect humanity, or avoid a prison sentence that would stretch for eternity?
Sadie who is an Immortal Seer and with a vision from her ancestors she is left with a dangerous calling: she must hunt down and destroy the last of the vengeful Jacks. But her quirky humor and gentle spirit make her an unlikely fit for the job.
Archer can’t believe he is drawn to Sadie’s with her pure, kindhearted nature, rekindling hope that he might not have to live a solitary life, but he has no idea the danger he’s in.
When fate forces mortal enemies to work together, Sadie must determine which side Archer is on, how much of his charm is real, and if she should follow through with her directive: should she kill him or save him? Is he the last Jack? Are they are soul mates?
This is a great paranormal read and can’t wait to see what Ms. Harkins has in-store for us in her next book in this series…

Our Next Chapter by Michelle Sullivan

5 out of 5 stars
Our next chapter written by Michelle Sullivan is an amazing love story about misunderstanding, love at a young age that lasts a lifetime and new beginnings and secrets. I had so many different emotions reading this book I laughed cried and I was also pissed at what the main characters had to go through, but they were strong and made it. The characters Karalyn and Dex are amazing and well written and I could relate to Karalyn on some level.
They became best friends in elementary school.
They fell in love in high school.
They were soul-mates, with their future planned and nothing to stop them.
Sounds perfect, right?
WRONG…not every love story ends with happily ever after.
She hated Dex the boy who broke her heart but she can’t stop loving him. It’s been 17 years since she’s been home; now she’s back and that boy who she tried to hate for so long is promising her a future again. But Can Karalyn trust Dex again? Is he for real that he didn’t know anything and that he was trying to protect her?
Is it possible to put the past behind them after so many years of pain? Can they begin another love story that never really ended? Or is it better for both of them to finally let go for good and close that chapter in their lives forever?
I know my review is kind of vague but I didn’t want to give any of the secrets away but you really need to read this amazing book….

by Sheri-Lynn Marean
5 out of 5 stars
Castiel; Born of Lightning is the second book in the Dragonkind 52 Realms written by Sheri-Lynn Maren and it’s the first book that I have read by this author and it surely won’t be the last. The characters and amazing and the way they play off each other is great. I loved the storyline and even though this is a paranormal book I could picture my self in the story. The scenery was described perfectly and believable.
As a bonded dragon shifter, Casstiel should have joined his soul mate in the afterlife when she was murdered. He did not. Fate changed the rules and tethered him to another female a druid witch. The enemy, or is she?
Casstiel has lived in a haze of fury for ten long years as he searches for the source of the hated connection. Only when they finally cross paths, he’s faced with a horrifying truth and finds himself protective and fiercely attracted to her. Even worse, she makes him question what it is he really wants.
Ashara is half human and half fire-born she has never soared the skies or shifted into her dragon. Instead, she’s been held captive as a breeder for the Ilyium, heart breaking more each time they take a child from her. Her only solace has been a connection to another that’s always kept her sane and warm in a cold, harsh life. When Asahra’s suddenly freed and confronted with her source of comfort; a large, sexy male who scares the hell out of her and wants her to release him, she is at a loss. As her heart awakens to a love she never dreamed possible, Ashara struggles to find her place in this new life, unsure of her desires, until a shocking discovery changes everything and may not be what anyone wants.
Will Ashara cut the cord that ties her to Castiel or will she fight for him? Will Castiel recognize Ashara for what she really is to him?
I really enjoyed this book and I hope to see a few of the characters in this authors next book…..

Just Exes by Charity Ferrell
5 out of 5 stars
Just Exes is written by Charity Ferrell and I have read a few of her books and I simply adored this second chance romance. I fell in love with Ms. Ferrell’s writing when I read ‘Just One Night’ (Book #1) and ‘Just Her Body Guard’(Book #2), and when I saw this book there was no question, I knew I just had to read it. I have to say that this book was everything I had hoped for and expected from this great author. The characters are well written and amazing even with the emotional turmoil they go through. We also get to see the other amazing characters from books 1 and 2.
Lauren runs into her ex that she hasn’t seen in nearly a decade is never a good time. Running into your ex while he’s arresting you is humiliating. The handcuffs close around my fists at the same time he promises to hate me until he takes his last breath. I can’t blame him. He pleaded for me not to walk away. He doesn’t know leaving him broke my heart as much as it did his. It wasn’t for me. Rather, it was for someone else.
Gage skipped town after Hurricane Lauren obliterated his heart. Coming home was a hard choice he had to make. Arresting her isn’t. She has no idea of the demons he carry with him now. No idea that he is a new man. Two women ruined him. One he gave his heart to. The other punished him for it,
I highly recommend this book…

Drawing Strength From Words (A Four Horsemen Novel Book 2) by C.A. King
5 out of 5 stars
Drawing Strength From Words is a Four Horsemen Novel Book 2 written by C.A. King and it’s not the first book that I have read by this author. Her writing is unique and realistic that I couldn’t put this book down that I read it in one sitting. This story is a paranormal thriller with a great mix of ancient myth and contemporary life with a chunk of humor, some fast-paced action and throw in some romance.
Gabrielle, receives little credit for protecting mankind. The vast insecurities of men altered history itself, portraying her as a masculine brute. Taking a back seat to her brothers seemed the right thing to do, but left a bitter taste in her mouth and an impenetrable barricade shielding her heart.
When Ryder’s parents were killed he bounced around the system. Between that and run-ins with the law for crimes he never committed, it seemed the whole world was conspiring against him. Never growing attached to anyone was rule number one: a rule he’d never broken until a white-haired vixen, with blocks of ice on her shoulders, walked right into his life. Melting through those frosty layers became all that mattered, even if that meant sacrificing himself in the process.
Can Ryder overcome Gabrielle’s securities or will she stay cold? Can these two have a happily ever after or will they have a bad ending?
I highly recommend this story…. You need to read this book/series to find out…..

Coming Alive (Welcome to Carson #1) by Renee Harless
5out of 5stars
Loved this book I just completely fell in love with the characters in this story the way they were written was amazing and the story line OMG… the amount of tissues I used when I first started reading this story. The characters are well developed and the secondary characters just make up the rest of the story.
Avery Poindexter Grew up in a family that would put Cinderella’s to shame, Avery watched as her sister withstood years of abuse while she was sidelined to the staff quarters unable to fight for her own.
However, she had a plan…
On her eighteenth birthday, she went to her mean and abusive grandmother, with the signed paperwork in hand Avery and her sister made their escape and never looked back, but Avery should have guessed that her change in luck was too good to be true.
After much heartache she decides she needs a change.
So she jumps at the chance to move to Carson, North Carolina. As Avery adjusts to a new beginning and a new life, she’s thrown a curve ball she wasn’t expecting Logan a man that has his own secrets and demons shrouded in the darkness of his past. He also happens to be one of her bosses and Avery finds herself drawn to him in a way she never anticipated, torn between wanting to wrap him in her arms and push him away in hopes to save his life.

She never expected to take another chance at love…actually, she had planned on remaining invisible for the rest of her life.
Logan grew up in a trailer park, he was a punching bag to his dad’s vicious temper, and he made a vow to make something of himself. Determination and scholarships got him through medical school; women got him through lonely nights.
After all that he has been through he doesn’t trust women. Period. They play on your emotional vulnerability and use you if they can. They chew you up and spit you out. He should know; his family has a long history of lying, cheating, manipulating, and leaving women.
Can they overcome their pasts and the demons they fight? Or will they be able to open up to each other and let their walls down? I guess you will have to read this awesome book…

Badge Bunny (Romance in Rehoboth Book 4) by K.L. Montgomery
5 out of 5 stars

Badge bunny is the fourth book in the Rehoboth series written by Ms. Montgomery and the third book in this series that I have read. While it is part of a series it is a stand-alone. I enjoyed the characters and their quirky ways and the storyline is funny and entertaining. Also this author’s writing style as it is easy flowing and engaging.
This is Chris and Brynne story and I can promise you will get a kick out of it.
Brynne Miller’s job as an ER doctor means she’s always meeting cops. In fact, she’s dated so many that her friends/coworkers call her “Badge Bunny.” But she will never date Chris Everson. Nope. Not a chance. He managed to piss her off within two seconds of meeting him and first impressions are everything.
Aren’t they?
Chris Everson has a pretty sweet life: a great job as a state trooper, lots of buddies to hang out with, and he lives at the beach. What could be better? But he’s harboring a secret–a secret that doesn’t fit with his whole tough guy cop persona. He’s gone to great lengths to keep his secret from his guy.
They both have secrets what happens when they come out? Can they over-come them or will they walk away from each other?
I really enjoyed this book/series….

The Dirty Rooster written by Kelly Mooney is a new adult romance book. This is my first read by this author and it was amazing I loved the characters and their quirks but also the storyline is amazing. The easy flow between the characters and the secondary characters where great. I simple loved this story.
Preston Ellington spends long summer days on Hilton Head at his family’s hotel bar, slinging Dirty Rooster shots to half-naked women who eagerly jump into his bed for the promise of an equally dirty night. That’s the only promise he’ll make, since anything else will interfere with his plans.
He doesn’t do commitment because he has a dream and a trust fund. The last thing he needs is some gold-digger trying to sink her claws into his future.
Summer Fallon fled her hometown in New Jersey as soon as she had her college diploma in hand. She arrives in Hilton Head with one goal to make as much money as possible without distractions in the form of sleazy bartenders who take home a different girl every night. Her job as a hotel maid sure isn’t glamorous, considering the marathon sex fests she needs to clean up afterward in the penthouse, but it’s going to jumpstart her new life.
Will Preston let his walls down for Summer? Can Summer see behind Preston’s facade? Will they have a happily ever after or will everything blow up in their faces?

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Brody (Default Distraction #1) by A.S. Roberts
5 out of 5 stars
Brody is the first book in default distraction series written by A.S. Roberts. This is an amazing author that can pin an amazing story that talks about real problems not fake. I have read a few of this authors books and her books just get better. The characters are well written and amazing the love the little quirks these characters have.
Chart topping U.S. rock band, Default Distraction, have everything money can buy… Except you know what they say money can’t buy everything.
Brody Daniels, is the lead singer of DD, and has a life that many people envy. Money, fast cars, extravagant houses and a constant stream of beautiful women. But he’s tired of the rock n roll lifestyle, and so damn sick of the pretense and fake people. He wants something real, something tangible.
Amy Harper has had more than enough of “real” everyone who was supposed to be there for her abandoned her except her grams. She has nothing to call her own. Unless you count a large overdraft and a struggling village shop. She’s so tired of pushing against the tide, just for once she wants to be swept away with it…

Abducted (Code Raven #2) by Lynda Filler

5 out of 5 start
Abducted is the second book in the Code Raven series written by Lynda Filler and it’s the third book that I have read by this author. Ms. Fillers writing just gets better with each book. Abducted is a gripping suspense thriller, is a roller coaster ride of cartel drug and human trafficking across tempestuous high seas off the coast of Mexico with some espionage thrown in. The Characters are well written and realistic that I couldn’t put this book/series down.
We have a ruthless Mexican drug cartel, notorious for their involvement in a world of illicit drug and human trafficking, is at the center of this action-packed drama where power, greed and immorality are the cornerstones of their global operations. We also have someone come back from the dead.
This is a fast-paced high-stakes thriller, a rash of abductions involving young female captives are ‘sold’ for extraordinary sums of money. They become the victims of extortion and manipulative leveraging in the pursuit of huge financial gains and unforeseen opportunity for revenge.
I simply love this series.

Flirt is book in What Happens On Campus series written by M.L. Sparrow and it the second book that I have read buy this author. Flirt is an adult sports /nerd romance that hits all the right spots. We get to see plenty of action on this campus. The characters are well written and are mature for their ages especially what they have been through. The plot was believable with college kids and their struggles and triumphs. We also get to see the awesome characters from book one Player….

Deal Takers (Dealing with Love #2) by Laura Lee

5 out of 5 stars
Deal Takers is the second book in the Dealing with Love series written by Laura Lee and it’s the first book that I have read by this author. This story is a hilarious, and sometimes emotional, love story that looks directly into both of the main characters minds. It was easy connecting with them and I couldn’t help but fall in love with both of them. The characters were well written and the plot was awesome.
Brody is a 24-year-old playboy and he can have any woman he wants. He meets Rainey O’Neil on the night of one of the most embarrassing moments of his life, but you know what they say about first impressions, right? Well, he can guarantee that he made quite the impression that evening.
Now she acts like she hates me probably because he behaves like an ass but we all know the truth: Rainey O’Neil wants Brody just as much as he wants her but, she just doesn’t want to admit it. Good thing Brody is up for the challenge….
Will Rainey give in to Brody or will she just friend zone him? Can Brody show Rainy he is the man for her?
I highly recommend this book and now I have to go and read book one before I move onto Drew and Charlee’s story…

Angels and Demons (Saint’s Justice MC #1) by A.C. Bextor

5 out of 5 stars
Angels and Demons is the first book in the Saint’s Justice MC Series written by A.C Bextor. I have read a few books written by this author and she always blows my mind with her writing the way she tells a story can actually imagine your self- there. Ms. Bexter like to through you with a curve ball in which she left us with a big cliffhanger so right now I don’t like Ms. Bextor (please hurry up with the second installment of this series)….. LOL. There is lots of drama, sex, action, and complications with a few twist.
We get to see/hear about a few characters from other stories which I loved.
James “Elevent” Scott is handling a crew of restless men while running low on cash and has but little choice left. So now he is forced to make a deal with the devil. When Elevent accepts the Russian’s offer to protect one of their own; he has no idea what’s to come.
And he’s never been taken so off guard when he meets Mia Zanders and he is paid to protect her.
Mia Zanders leads a modest and content life. Church secretary by day, sweetheart to the boy-next-door by night, her monotonous existence may be boring, but it’s safe. However, fate finds a way of shaking up everything she thought she knew. She soon finds herself inside a rough-and-tumble biker club. The men are vile. The women are catty.
Yet, somehow this crew of bold and plenty help her to see what she never could before. The person she was meant to become the strong woman she was meant to be especially when it got her in trouble and I liked how she pushed Elevent back when he was being over the top ridiculous.
I loved this couple and can’t wait to see what happens to them.

Inescapable written by C.J. Fallowfield and it is a dark read so if you have triggers for emotional and physical abuse please don’t read… This was a great read the characters are remarkable and strong with what they have overcome and didn’t let life l
Keep you down. I loved the way this author described some of the beautiful scenery I could imagine myself there.
Alex Bishop is haunted by the ghosts of her past and soon her past is back with a vengeance so she flees from London, but soon finds that she can’t outrun her demons.
Tate Castle is a reclusive billionaire and he enters her life as it begins to spiral out of control, and the primal attraction that flares between them knocks her world off its axis and it couldn’t be at the worst time. His proposition seems to be the answer to all of her problems, but her acceptance will change their lives irreparably.
Suspense, drama, and passion follow them from the capital to his idyllic Caribbean hideout, as they struggle to reconcile their mutual desire with the deep emotional scars they bear.
Alex is quickly dragged back into her worst nightmare, where she has to fight for what she desires, and her very survival. Will she win?
Can Alex resist Tate or will she give in? Can Tate keep Alex safe or will her past catch up to her? Will they have a happily ever after?
Inescapable is a standalone erotic romance novel with suspense that I highly recommend….

Looking For Trouble: Rogue Series Extra by Lara Ward Cosio
5 out of 5 stars

Looking for Trouble in the Rogue Series is Book 5 written by Lara Ward Cosio is the fifth book in her Rogue series. I highly suggest reading the previous books in this series to help you enhance this series and give you some background information on the characters. We even see what our favorite couple from the first 4 books are up too. Ms. Cosio’s writing skills has the ability to pull me into her story with ease. I have enjoyed all the characters in this series and Danny Boy is no different. I loved how the characters played off of each other and their quirky ways. They all took me on an emotional roller coaster ride were one minute you could cry the next you could be laughing . This has been an enjoyable series and this story just adds to it.
His name is Danny Boy that’s all he has ever been called. No surname needed. Even though Shay Donnelly, the drummer for Rogue, is his baby brother, everyone in the whole of Dublin hell, maybe even all of Ireland knows him as Danny Boy. Danny Boy has made a total mess of his life. He has burned bridges, lied, mostly to himself and Shay, now he is finally, he is drug-free and the struggle is painfully real.
Ms. Amelia Patterson, is his therapist extraordinaire, and thinks it’s time I go back to formalities. She says it’s only right now that I’m closing in on forty years of age and am trying to improve myself. But I have no illusions over the ways in which I’ve manipulated and hurt others just to get by, but something has changed.
So, he will keep going to the sessions, both to please my brother, and because I’ll need them more than I know. Especially once she enters my life and not only tests everything I’ve fought for, but threatens Rogue by stirring up the past.
It won’t be easy my life never is but now I’ve got a dog named Roscoe, a therapist named Ms. Patterson, and an unfamiliar, but welcome, new band of brothers backing me. All I need to do is stop looking for trouble.
I highly recommend this book/series…

Sacrificed (Ariya Adams Trilogy #3) by Anna Applegate
5 out of 5 stars
Sacrificed is the final installment of the Ariya Adams Trilogy Join Ariya, James, Nick, Caroline and Riley as they conclude their journey together through the toughest trials they’ve yet to face. The characters are well written and the way they play off each other you would think they are real. The plot was great and the writing was easy to follow.
Ariya Adams has a powerful ability that has protected those she loves from every danger they’ve faced. With Audrey, a powerful and malicious being on the loose and determined to overrun the supernatural world, Ariya and her friends are on a mission of vital importance they must find a weapon that can destroy the most dangerous evil the Protectors have ever encountered. The problem is, they have no idea who they can trust.
But, that’s not the only complication though. Ariya has a life-changing secret and must carry out her own mission without her Protectors finding out especially James, who is already watching her every move.
With Audrey closing in, there’s no time to question the magnitude of the sacrifice she’ll have to make to save her friends. Will she save them in time? Can they finally accomplish what must be done and stop Audrey? Or will she succeed in destroying everything Ariya holds dear once and for all?
Even though Ms. Applegate said this was the final installment I thought the story ended in a cliffhanger. This was a great Trilogy and I highly recommend it.
