This is an emotional love story…..
Unraveled is written by Aubrey Bondurant but it’s not the first book that I have read by this author and she always out does herself with each book they just get better and better. The characters are we’ll written with a strong heroine that over comes a few obstacles. I loved the secondary characters and their quirky ways. I can’t forget the main male character and the support and dedication.
Layla thought she had it all with my well-respected job, Hollywood boyfriend, and glamorous lifestyle. All it took is one day, and a single word, and her great life was obliterated.
Until she meets Kellan.
Kellan is hanging out at a bar with his friend Russ when his ex-shows up with ulterior motive. So Russ decides to call his sister to save Kellan and when she gets there they hit it off.
What was supposed to be a one-night stand turns into a week affair to her supposedly leaving for a year but Layla won’t tell him what she is doing.
If she tells him where she is going he might run off or stay out of pity. What will happen when Kellan finds out the truth? Will Layla let her walls down for Kellan or walk away? Will they have a happily ever after. I guess you have to read this amazing story.

Temptation and Seductions written by L.M. Mountford is a great tease and I loved it. We get to read five short stories that keeps you wanting to read more about the couples in these stories. Ms. Mountford introduces us to these unique couples and what they have to do to become couples. These stories are so short you could read this book in one sitting.

These short stories contain descriptions of sexual content, Violence, BDSM, and Paranormal.
Now I have to go and read Just Friends Book 1 because this story I loved the most out of all five stories.

I just loved reading these short stories and can’t wait to read them in their true books.

Two handsome guys show up looking for her they both wish to help her while the other wants her to help him look for something.

Charlie discovers more than she could have suspected she’s a witch. This explains all the weird things she’s been doing something that’s confirmed when she’s kidnapped and forced to put on a wedding dress to marry a powerful warlock.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Problematic Love (Rogue #8) by Lara Ward Cosio
5out of 5stars
Problematic Love is the eight book in the Rogue series written by Lara Ward Cosio and I have read all eight books in this series. Ms. Ward has done an outstanding job in writing Danny boy and all of his struggles and what he has overcome. I also loved how she made Amelia go out of her comfort zone. You know the saying opposites attract well this is defiantly Danny boy and Amelia. The characters are well written and I loved their quirks and the way these characters play off of each other.
Danny boy is screw up and he knows it he is a recovering addict and he is barely getting his life together. He has nothing to offer a woman like Amelia. And now he has done the impossible he got the girl. Now he has to figure out how to make a woman like Amelia happy or so he thinks.
Amelia has thrown all caution to the wind and decided the fact that she was once Daniel’s therapist is not a big enough deterrent to keep from having a relationship with him. So she took a chance. Because she couldn’t get him out of my head or her heart.

Is Amelia crazy for taking a chance on such a damaged man? Does she want to be with a man who requires a lot? Will Danny boy’s insecurities destroy any chances with Amelia? Can Danny boy overcome his insecurities? Can they separate the professional relationship from the personal relationship? Is this one of those patient therapist romances or is it the real deal? You will need to read this book in order to find out…
I highly recommend this book/series

Man with the Mafia (Man With, #2) by Debra J. Falasco

4out of 5 stars

Man with the Mafia is the second book in the Man With series written by Debra Falasco and it’s the first book that I have read by this author. The story started out slow but it got better. The characters are well written. I loved the banter between Vincent and Dee and the secondary characters where awesome.

Vincent Manetti, is a dark, brooding Italian attorney and is very good at what he does. Vincent grew up in the neighborhood he takes care of his own but, is very closed mouth. He doesn’t do relationships and isn’t looking for love until he sees Deidre Collins.
Deidre Collins is a romance writer and is new to the neighborhood, she left her home and great friends behind in Virginia Beach to get a fresh start. Her last relationship ended badly and she is left with some baggage. She just want to settle into her new home, make new friends and write. She is not interested in anything else.
But fate has other plans she keeps bumping into Vincent. He’s a stoic Adonis with a sly sense of humor and a bossy disposition is a dominating lover in the bedroom but a caring soul and she is scared because he reminds her of her past.
She lives by honesty and telling the truth. He is a harbors secrets but is honest to a point. Are these two fated to be together like Deidre thinks or is fate a b****.

Hell On Heels (PJ Santini Series Book 1) by Lynne Russell

4 out of 4 stars

Hell On Heels is the first book in the PJ Santini Series written by Lynne Russell and it’s the first book that I have read by this author. This is the kind of book that grabs your attention from the very beginning and doesn’t let you go until you have finished the last page. This is fast-paced and will have you turning pages to find out what going to happen next. There were times I laughed so much my kids wanted to know what I was reading…

PJ Santini is witty, intelligent, independent, and stubborn. She is also both a TV news reporter and private eye. PJ is the kind of woman that once she is assigned and assignment she is determined to find out the answers and truth of what happened.
Her first assignment is to find Gerald Sigmund (Siggy), a sleezy investigative reporter who has vanished into thin air dead or alive. She’s also inherited his disgusting office that holds secrets that could cost her, her life. But she has no idea what that secret is, or who would kill her to get to it. All she knows is that there’s a bloody finger in the desk drawer, and it lost most of its value as evidence when she threw up all over it.
I also loved her two men Johnny Renza and Tango Daly. Johnny Renza is darkly handsome and his the first boy P.J. ever loved. Now he’s a top-notch crime reporter who gets away with plenty because he still knows how to push her buttons. And Tango Daly her fiercely protective and mysterious, tanned, toned private detective boss, a martial artist with a para-legitimate past tucked lustily into seductive slacks and silk shirts.
I really loved this story… Does PJ find Siggy? Does she give Johnny another chance at love or do they stay completive co-workers? And what does she do with Tango with their mind games and sparks that ignite when their around each other?
I highly recommend this story and can’t wait to read book two in this series….

Don’t Let Me is book one in the Simplicit Duet written by Marie Skye. Argh I have read a few books by Ms. Skye but this book was everything I expected and more disepsion, romance, Stalking, betrayal, love, and a few twists you wouldn’t believe. The three main characters are well developed and played off each other’s quirks. All three characters Damien, Jaxson, and Olivia, are all strong willed and bring different aspects to the story.

Ms. Skye kept me engaged from the first page to the last page and I can’t wait to read the continuation of this story because I keep imagining different scenario’s on what might be coming next in book two. Just a heads up this is has a big cliffhanger….

Knights Who Won My Heart (Knights #4) by Sonya Jesus

4 out of 4 stars

Knights Who Won My Heart is the fourth book in the Knights series written by Sonya Jesus and it’s the first book that I have read by this author. This book is a heartbreaking read that has heartwarming moments. The story was great but I was lost because I didn’t realize it was the fourth book in the series. The characters are great there crazy, funny and I think typical collage kids.

It seems that Amelia is surrounded by tragedy again. She is a young woman who is strong but heartbroken, hurt, and confused. With this last incident she not sure of her future or if she should leave Westbrook. She has faced some overwhelming circumstances and it looks like she it’s only begun.
We have this Hawk who is obsessed with Amelia and refers to her as his Queen. He has his own agenda and plans for Amelia and nothing is going to get in his way. He will manipulate everyone and the situation to get his queen.

Can and will his plan succeed? You will need to read this story/series. Now I have to go back and read the rest of the series to catch up.

An Appointment (Summer in New York #4) by Lindsay Marie Miller
5 out of 5 stars

An Appointment is the fourth book in the Summer in New York series written by Lindsay Marie Miller and I have read all four book in this series and they just get better with each book. The characters are amazing. The plot of two broken people with horrible exe’s and how they find each other and heal each other; and the description of the Hamptons and the pier in NY was great.

Savannah’s life hasn’t turned out the way she planned. Her marriage has failed and she is left alone to raise her son. Her ex-husband moved on as soon as the divorce was final. She thinks all she needs to keep her happy is her son Tre but you could tell she wasn’t happy.
One day she takes Tre to the doctor’s and when the doctor walks in, he isn’t the 70 year old doctor but his son Preston or as Tre calls him Dr. Cole. He may be a hot sexy doctor who loves kids and is single but she’s not taking a chance with her heart again.
Preston hasn’t had the best years of his life either. His wife left him for a plastic surgeon after he couldn’t give her what she wanted. On top of all that thanks to her hefty spending, now he has a quarter million dollars of debt. So much for true love.
So when Savannah walks into his office with her son, holy hell, he wants to get to know her.  He doesn’t care that she is feisty and stubborn, he likes a good challenge.
Will Preston wear Savannah down? Can they overcome the betrayal of their exes to move forward? You will have to read this story to find out.
I highly recommend this book/series…

Yearning Young (Burning Britely #2) by Deidre Huesmann – Review by Tracy Manderson

Yearning Young (Burning Britely #2) by Deidre Huesmann

5 out of 5 stars

Yearning Young is the second book in the Burning Britley series written by Deidre Huesmann and it’s the second book that I have read by this author. The characters were well written and the storyline was different with self-discovery and self-acceptance we also have strong friendships and families and also dysfunctional, chaotic families and friends.
We met Jeff and Braeden in book two and this story is told from Braeden’s POV. Braeden is a good guy who is confused and trying to figure out who he is.

Braeden’s never had to question anything before. He’s always been popular, always had everything handed to him, and always been straight. Then he met Jeffrey Young. Quiet, studious, analytical a guy.
Now he’s questioning everything. Like if he can handle his pill-abusing mother and ruthlessly enabling father much longer. If he’s protecting his siblings out of selfless motivations. If he belongs with Jeff, now his boyfriend. Jeff’s less-than-straight friends are skeptical of his sexuality as well, which isn’t assuaging any of Braeden’s fears.
As their connection deepens quickly Braeden is asking himself if he is supposed to be with a guy.
This is a great read…

An Improper Encounter (The Macalisters #3) by Erica Taylor
5 out of 5stars
An Improper Encounter is the third book in the Macalisters series written by Erica Taylor
And it’s the second book that I have read by this author and I loved the story. The plot was excellent and well written. The characters are strong and well written and I the loved the banter and quirkiness from them as well. We even see what the other characters from the first two books are up too.
Lady Sarah Hartford has done her duty to her family. She is beautiful, wealthy, widowed, and bored. Her sister in law and herself are at a inn and after agreeing to a scandalous dare to seduce a stranger into her bedchamber, she meets the devilishly handsome doctor, William Gordon. Though both keep their true identities hidden, an intense romance blooms between them, and Sarah finally feels like she could be happy again.
After they arrive in London, William promises to reunite with Sarah after dealing with his ailing father, the reason to which he was summoned to London. But three months pass, and Sarah begins to lose hope of ever seeing her lover again.
A few months later he arrives on her doorstep, married, a duke, and with a pregnant duchess in tow. As the pair try to untangle truth from lies while keeping their history a secret from everyone around them, they realize they may never be together.
I really enjoyed this book an highly recommend this book

WTF, God?: Understanding God in the Midst of Transition by Michelle N. Onuorah
4 out of 4 stars

WTF, God?: Understanding God in the Midst of Transition written by Michelle N. Onuorah is the first book that I have read by this author. WTF God shows us how Michelle explores her experiences as a young adult and the ways in which her faith guided her through decisions and changes. It also shows that Crossroads are an inevitable part of life. But how do you navigate them when your life is not your own?

Michelle shares the ten key lessons she’s learned about God, life and understanding both in the midst of ceaseless transitions with breathtaking candor, razor sharp humor, and bold vulnerability.
In her words, “This book is for those of you who believed with all your heart that you would end up in one place and somehow, despite following God – or maybe even because of it – ended up on a completely different path. This is for those of you who, though you love God, sometimes wonder who he even is. This is for those of you who choose to believe he’s still good.”
This is a great read even though Im pissed at God right now I still love him and recommend this book.

Luke (The McKades of Texas #3) by Kimberly Lewis
4 out of 5 stars

Luke is the third book of the Mckade’s of Texas written by Kimberly Lewis and it’s the first book that I have read by this author. The characters are well written and it pulled me into the story with ease and held my attention to the end.

All Karlie Jo wants is a life with Luke she want him to fall in love with her and have a happily ever after she has had a crush on him forever. Now Karlie Jo is back in town all grown up and she has plans for Luke.

Luke is shocked when he realizes that Karlie Jo isn’t a little girl anymore. What surprise’s him the most is the lust he feels when he sees her again. Karlie Jo comes up with a proposition he can’t refuse because he is really happy to oblige even if it’s temporarily.

Karlie is willing to play along, for now but her heart is set on forever. As raw desire sparks something deeper, can Karlie convince Luke that rules are meant to be broken? Or will their passionate summer fling end with broken hearts instead?

The Light at Dawn by K.L. Montgomery

The light at Dawn written by K.L. Montgomery is a very emotional read especially for me right now and this story has helped me process my thoughts and emotions about a tragic event that happened the day i started reading this book.

Angelia White has three children she is a stay at home mom who bakes cakes on the side. One day she looses her youngest son Evan. In the wake of this unspeakable tragedy her marriage crumbles as her life.

Even though five years had passed since she lost Evan, Angelia is still picking up the pieces. Getting involved in the cause, so she could pour her broken heart into was just another part of the healing process.

Mark and Angelia meet at a ralley and they are basically on opposite sides.

Everything Mark thought he knew and believed in was obliterated when he lost Ashleigh, along with his heart. His wounds are too fresh for Mark to keep his grip on reality. The only way he could pick up the pieces was to fight for a way to prevent any other parent from ever suffering such merciless pain.

The Monster’s Lover by Samantha MacLeod – Review by Tracy Manderson

The Monster's LoverThe Monster’s Lover by Samantha MacLeod
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Monster’s Lover by Samantha MacLeod
4 out of 5 stars
The Monster’s Lover in the first book in the The Fenris Series written by Ms. MacLeod and is the first book that I have read by this author. This story is about hardship, sacrifices, and love. The story started out slow but once you got into it, it was great. The characters are well written and there is a depth to Sol that wanted me to keep reading. The description of the background was vibrant and colorful.
Sol Eriksen’s family has fallen on hard times since her father’s death. Her mother cannot provide her annual quota of purple oak so she trades Sol in payment to the cruel King Nøkkyn for one year in his harem.
After running from some of the locals, she is at the river when she meets a handsome man, Fenris, who claims to be the dangerous beast that roams the Ironwood. She thinks he is playing games with her because this is the name of the mythical beast she heard about as a child. So is he a madman or a demon? She knows she shouldn’t listen to him but she is running out of options and time.
Can Sol trust Fenris? Will Fenris let Sol down? Will he be able to save her from the cruel king? Read the story to find out…
This book ends in a cliffhanger and I recommend this book….
