Touchdown: A Steamy Football Romance: The Big Apple Series Book 1Touchdown: A Steamy Football Romance: The Big Apple Series Book 1 by Alexa Summers
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Touchdown is book one in the Big Apple series by Alexa Summers. My first time read from this author and it was a good one.

Lexi is a sports reporter, a job i absolutely envy, and she owns that. She catches Brett in an embarrassing situation and he wants a sorry. The back and forth banter was excellent, the sexual chemistry was explosive, their strong and battle ready personalities clashed spectacularly. It made for extremely entertaining reading. The whole storyline was fast paced, exciting and always full of drama and underhanding activities. Of the thrilling kind. Their coming together was steamy and raised the heart rate for sure.

I really liked Touchdown and am eager for more of this enticing series. 4 stars.

My Tragic Life: Brothers of Camelot Prequel (My Life Series Book 2) by Necie Navone – Review by Tracy Wilkin

My Tragic Life: Prequel to the Brothers of CamelotMy Tragic Life: Prequel to the Brothers of Camelot by Necie Navone
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

My Tragic Life: Brothers of Camelot Prequel is book two in the My Life series by Necie Navone. It continues as the Princess grows a little older, a little tougher, and way too fast. Her strength cannot be measured, and her steely determination for change and individuality is paramount. She has seen things not many people should see at such a young age, and while it would destroy most, it just gives the Princess more conviction to do it her way, and in her time. She goes about her business in a controlled and calm manner, surprising many and impressing all.

The further into this series I delve, the more I enjoy the story and its characters. I really connect with the way this author displays the suspense, the plot twists, and how each character grows and develops. This is one hugely addictive series, and I cannot wait for more. 5 stars

Neverland by Melissa Jane – Review by Tracy Wilkin

NeverlandNeverland by Melissa Jane
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Neverland is a standalone thriller by Melissa Jane. What a thought stealing, heartstopping, violent, twisted mess of a stunning romance psycho thriller. I reread parts of this book over and over, because I seriously thought I could not have read correctly. But I did. And that is what she wrote!! This author said that this story was not cuddly puppies, hearts and flowers. It really was brutal, graphic, shocking, sinister, deadly. I could go on and on. The main characters were a mix of victim, villain, hero and so much more. I did not think I would like this book as wholeheartedly as I did. It was amazing, incredulous reading and I cannot wait for more.

There are many issues that could be triggers for some, but if you deviate to the risky side, then take a chance on Neverland. It is raw, rough and astounding, but it unfolds so masterfully, I hing off every word. The beginning and middle were mindblowing. The ending will shock your world. Such a fitting end to a story I will never forget. 5 stars.

Must Have Faith (Darling Cove Book 2) – Review by Tracy Wilkin

Must Have Faith (Darling Cove #2)Must Have Faith by Deborah Garland
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Must Have Faith is book two in the Darling Cove series by Deborah Garland. I cannot say how much I enjoyed this story. My favourite of this series so far, and I can only hope they just keep getting better. Somehow I don’t think I will be disappointed with what’s to come.

The beginning of this story intrigued me. The middle of the story enchanted me. The ending of this story completed me. The characters added mystery, excitement and attraction. Faith made mistakes. Greg tried to get on with his life. Faith tried to immerse herself in work to lessen the pain. Greg done just enough to survive and tale one day at a time. There were so many feels to their tale. Heartache, loss, realisation, happiness, elation, passion, frustration, love, adoration, rediscovery, anger, tension, contentment, completeness. A whole lot of emotion thrown in, mixed up and blended to make a delicious and tantalising tale.

  1. Deborah Garland nailed the great entertainer. This book could not be better. Flawed perfection. 5 starsView all my reviews

Our Unexpected Hope by Michelle Sullivan – Review by Tracy Wilkin

Our Unexpected HopeOur Unexpected Hope by Michelle Sullivan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Our Unexpected Hope is a hugely entertaining novel by Michelle Sullivan that kept me riveted for hours. It was highly emotional and I don’t know a couple that managed to adapt to the life changing situations the way they did with the many struggles they had to endure.

Quinn meets Noah and that is the end of it. There is no one else for her. Him either. It was love at first sight. Their journey was a whirlwind and their lives were chaos and bedlam, but one thing remained steady, strong and unbreakable. Their bone deep love for each other. A love like theirs, burning with intensity and endlessness, is enviable and rare.

Michelle Sullivan wrote a beautifully created tale of never ending love. A love that withstands every test thrown at them, amd comes out the other side stronger and deeper that ever before. 5 stars

Must Love Fashion (Darling Cove #1)Must Love Fashion by Deborah Garland
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Must Love Fashion is book one in the Darling Cove series by Deborah Garland. This is my first time reading this author’s work, so I was keen to get started. It is always such a delight to find a talented author to disappear into, and I hit the jackpot with this author.

Gwen and Andrew clash horns over their public relations duties and the tension, attraction and competition runs rampant between them. In the fast paced Fashion house where they work together, there is a myriad of dramatic elements that both captivate and entertain. This story offers so many thrills, spills and pandemonium. It also pulled the heartstrings. Must Love Fashion has a little of everything that will appeal to every taste in literary genius. 5 stars

The Nearness of You by K.G. Fletcher – Review by Tracy Wilkin

The Nearness of YouThe Nearness of You by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Nearness of You by K.G. Fletcher is another stunning and breathtaking romance that readers can immerse themselves in effortlessly and wholeheartedly.

I couldn’t help but love everything about Lauren and David. Lauren sang from her soul and David was her match. Their love was explosive and absorbing. Not everyone was happy about that and they found themselves facing impossible and heartbreaking situations. I was cheering for them to triumph over the odds stacked against them, because a chemistry such as theirs cannot be ignored or denied.

A love story of substance, complexity and thrilling passion. K. G. Fletcher is one seriously talented author and one of my most treasured discoveries. 5 stars.

My Hidden Life: Brothers of Camelot Prequel (My Life Series Book 1)My Hidden Life: Brothers of Camelot Prequel by Necie Navone
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

My Hidden Life: Brothers of Camelot Prequel is book one in the My Life series by Necie Navone. This author is one that captivates me more and more. Every book gets better, the characters get more adventurous, and the very essence of each story exhibits more heart and soul. But these stories aren’t for the faint of heart.

Alessandra is a princess of the Canzano family. It is the complete opposite of a normal princesses life. Fraught with crime, violence and bloodshed, Alessandra grows up quickly. She is wise beyond her year, street smart, and can take care of herself if necessary. But in saying that, there is an innocence that is endearing in its simplicity. Necie Nevone paints a girl who has heart, courage and a fierceness that she keeps hidden well, but it is there, nonetheless.

I have become a huge fan of this author, and a little obsessed with Alessandra and her evolving story. I cannot wait to find out what is up next for her. I know it will be a nail biter. 5 stars.

Painting Kuwait Violet by Pamela Q Fernandes – Review by Tracy Wilkin

Painting Kuwait VioletPainting Kuwait Violet by Pamela Q. Fernandes
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Painting Kuwait Violet is a stunning and descriptive depiction of the way that women are treated in modern day society, and the struggles they have each and every day. Simple things like going to school is a luxury many never experience. This powerful novel is extraordinarily written by Pamela Q Fernandes. It was difficult to read, at times, but the author demonstrated respect, compassion and clarity in her writing.

In a world where women are not treated equally or respectfully, Violet has learnt that she has little value as a human and must serve a purpose, or be deemed of no use, which is something she does not want. Traumatic times were experienced by Violet, and even though many tried, she could not be broken. A little scarred and a lot battered, but still holding it together.

Pamela Q. Fernandes penned a brutally honest and deeply moving tale that left quite an impact on me as a reader. It made me thankful that I grew up free and where my opinion and feelings mattered. This author makes you think and appreciate all that you have and be forever grateful for all the women who fought against adversity, paving the way for women to live freely and safely and use our voices and be heard. 4 stars.

Michael’s Heart by Lori Thomas Harrington – Review by Tracy Wilkin

Michael's HeartMichael’s Heart by Lori Thomas Harrington
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Michael’s Heart is a beautiful story that is so original and different than what I usually get lost in. It was a heartwarming story. It was a tale of anything is possible if you just open your heart and mind. There was so much that appealed to me about Colbie. She had her ups and downs. She had a gift and was finally able to to something with it. But then she gets a taste of heaven, and it is at this stage that for me, the author really turns up the quality content and delivers a unique twist to an unusual love story.

Colbie has trouble living in the present without Michael. Their story just kept evolving in such a profound way, it was tantalising. It takes a particularly talented author to be able to capture the very soul of each character so completely. Loro Thomas Harrington is a master at creating the seemingly impossible, without it becoming unrealistic. I thoroughly devoured their story and the experience was joyous and fulfilling. I recommend this book to anyone willing to take a chance on being totally enamoured by this colorful cast of eclectic characters. 4 stars.

Small Town Hero (Small Town Brides, #1)Small Town Hero by Kim Koby
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Small Town Hero is book one in the Small Town Brides series by Kim Koby. A first time read by this author, and what a delight it was. Getting to know these characters was endearing and kept me thoroughly entertained and warmed my heart.

Rebecca, after discovering the ultimate betrayal, flees and ends up far, far from home. Ryan swoops in and despite her prickly disposition, helps her out of quite the pickle. They manage to get to know one another in a really short time and their feelings develop at warp speed also. They fight, they become closer emotionally. It is an epic tug of war on their emotions and it is a sight to behold. An absolute pleasure to witness.

I truly got swept up in the whirlwind they created. It was an incredible thrilling journey, and one I am so glad I read about. 5 stars.

The Boss by Abigail Owen – Review by Tracy Wilkin

The Boss (Fire's Edge, #1)The Boss by Abigail Owen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Boss by Abigail Owen is splendidly written tale of dragon shifters. My first time reading this author’s work was entertaining and oh, so memorable. I didn’t expect to love it quite so much. What a beautiful discovery! These finds are what reinforces my love for words and the immeasurable pleasure I experience when I come across such talent.

Finn and Delaney wholeheartedly captivated me. Their story was intriguing, mysterious and full of sinister characters, loyal friends and a smoking hot couple. The way the book evolved, was very engaging and difficult to put down. I hung off every word, waiting for the next drama to unfold. The longer the story went, the more involved I became. It was stunning to read. It is a severe understatement to say this story was fantastic. It provided so much more than I could possibly put into words. I want to read it again. Immediately.

The Boss was everything and more. Abigail Owen penned a descriptively striking story that has left me with precious and beautiful memories. A favourable one click author to add to my library. 5 wonderfully well deserved stars.

Give & Take (The Thorne Brothers Book 2) by Lee Kilraine – Review by Tracy Wilkin

Give and Take (The Thorne Brothers, #2)Give and Take by Lee Kilraine
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Give & Take is book two in The Thorne Brothers series by Lee Kilraine. My first read by this author. It’s just the beginning of something beautiful. I was impressed beyond my wildest dreams. Elation at finding yet another epically talented author was an emotion that I became very familiar with. I don’t know where they get all this talent. My talent can fit into my pinky nail. I am forever thankful for the time, effort and heart that goes into these stories. I just can’t get enough of them.

Now about this mind blowing cast of colourful characters the endlessly entertain with this hilarious antics, amusing idiosyncrasies, and never ending awkwardness, attractiveness and sensuality. I was constantly laughing, but this story was so much deeper than what I could ever have imagined from the beginning, and gave me so much more than I could have possibly dreamed of. Wyatt was a deep and tender hearted man that shouldered doubt and insecurities. His family was his support and Rhia the very one he never knew he needed. Rhia had her own set of troubles, but was so seriously entertaining, I could read about her for years. On paper, they were polar opposites. In reality, there could not be a more perfectly imperfect couple. Give & Take was pleasure personified, and The Thorne Brother series is a must have addition to my library. 5 stars.

The Only One (Brothers of Camelot Book 1) by Necie Navone – Review by Tracy Wilkin

The Only One (Brothers of Camelot, #1)The Only One by Necie Navone
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Only One is book one in the Bothers of Camelot series by Necie Navone. This is a new author for me, an author who is exciting and brings something new and addictive to my bookshelf. It was such a thrill to read and get to know the plethora of remarkable characters i could not help falling in love with. I hung off every word written, rejoiced every triumph, and mourned every loss. In other words, I felt it all! Necie Navone dragged a lot of emotion from me, the biggest being blissful happiness.

Fitz and Bella. What a pair. What a love story. I instantly became bewitched by their story. It was heartwarming, it was hilarious, it was passionate, emotional and deep. Their love began to grow early, and even distance could not extinguish the flame that smouldered between them. My heart was full to bursting, and the more their story evolved, the more I loved them. To be soul mates after so many years apart, and not once did their feelings for each other change, was an unforgettable experience for me. This will be a story I can reread over and over, as a love story like theirs never fails to move me beyond words and crave the next story. This style of writing never ages, as the story of love is eternally craved. 5 stars.

Georgia Pine (Southern Promises Book 3) by K.G. Fletcher – Review by Tracy Wilkin

Georgia Pine (Southern Promises #3)Georgia Pine by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Georgia Pine is book three in the Southern Promises series by K. G. Fletcher. I think I am in love. I beyond adored this story. Every word I read, I loved. As I got to know Jessica and Tim, the harder I fell. Their story was so sweet, I may need a trip to the dentist!! The quality just shone, and the thought and preparation was evident. K. G. Fletcher gave it all, and it showed magnificently.

Jessica has her hands full, and with her impending divorce imminent, she is on emotional overload. Tim entering her life when she was at her lowest mortified her. But this woman was made of strong stuff, and with love and support, could handle anything life threw at her. Tim could not have been more perfect for her. The heartfelt goodness and dedication to Jessica and her daughters was heartwarming, and his love for them new no limits.

I could not put this book down. Countless times my kindle fell to the floor as I was exhausted, but I just could not stop reading. It was that glorious. The story, 5 stars. The storyline, 5 stars. The way it made me feel, immeasurably satisfied and happy. The author, 5 stars. Readers simply must read this terrific story.

The Sound of Love (The Sound Series Book 1) by Maria Watts – Review by Tracy Wilkin

The Sound of Love (The Sound series #1)The Sound of Love by Maria Watts
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Sound of Love is book one in the Sound series by Maria Watts. As a new author to me, I went in with an open mind. I am so glad I did. The writing style was enchanting and really, really difficult to put down.

Nina and Chris. What to say about my feelings for these two. Put simply, frustrating yet so totally enjoyable. It was like stepping back in time to my teenage years. The same newness, the same uncertainty, the same blind innocence, the same narrow minded attitude, the same emotions, the same struggle with interpreting these unfamiliar amd scary feelings. I wanted to shale these two one minute, and hug them the next. It was a very realistic insight into a teenagers first love. Their lack of maturity and dramatic interpretation on just about every situation made this impossible to be away from. Their desire for one another was palpable, but inexperience made them unable to cope with these complex and overwhelming emotions. But heavens it was so good, I was a bit bewildered by just how much I loved this story.

Maria Watts is the ultimate in first love romance, and I am so very excited to read more of this series. 5 stars.

Summer Fling by Tarrah Anders – Review by Tracy Wilkin

Summer FlingSummer Fling by Tarrah Anders
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Summer fling is a quirky little novel by Tarrah Anders. This story intrigued me from the title, and just got better from there. The first chapter begins explosively and steamy. That sets the tone for the rest of the story.

Beguiling characters and hilarious secondary characters, together with the electric storyline provided me with a deliciously wonderful few hours of reading. Emma and Royce just had that instant chemistry that was immediately evident. So palpable, I felt like I had a front row seat to bliss.

It was hot, it was heavy, and it was masterfully written. A great escape. 5 stars.

The Kitty Committee by Kathryn Berla – Review by Tracy Wilkin

The Kitty Committee: A Novel of SuspenseThe Kitty Committee: A Novel of Suspense by Kathryn Berla
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Kitty Committee is a suspenseful tale written by Kathryn Berla. It was mysterious and entertaining. The story was a little slow going for me, at first. But once I
I got into the swing of it, it was really enjoyable.

Grace and her not so nice group of friends, The Kitty Committee, share a secret. A secret that has played on Grace’s mind for year, leading to unrest and unfulfilling relationships. It was great witnessing it all unfold and how it ended. Many moments of suspense and intensity made this novel hard to put down. The dynamic of women and their propensity to bicker and put each other down instead of propping a fellow girl up, was evident in this story. An engaging story that would suit lovers of the twisty and unusual. 4 stars

Phoenix Rising: A Fortis Security Novel Book 7 (Fortis Security Series)Phoenix Rising: A Fortis Security Novel Book 7 by Maddie Wade
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Phoenix Rising is book seven in the Fortis Security Series by Maddie Wade. I like this series with each new instalment, and have to say that Daniel and Megan’s story is the best so far. It was edgy, packed with action and bursting with passion and danger.

Megan and Daniel face a rough road, and the attraction he fights is both entertaining and frustrating. Maddie Wade draws out the intensity expertly and maddeningly. Burning with the relentless urge to know all the mystery surrounding their story, I turned the pages way too quickly. I did not want their story to be over. I could have read about them for days more. A story bursting with heat, sexiness and energy, Phoenix Rising is a must read. 5 stars.
