5-Stars

The Seal of Solomon – Lilandra’s Reeves Adventure (Supernatural Intelligence Agency Book 2) by Nadine Travers is an excellent short story. This entertaining and creative story can be read in one sitting. Lilandra is called to recover the Seal of Solomon. She is a warrior aitch with amazing power. When she arrives to retrieve it she is faced with surprising information and an unbelievable offer. Will she fulfill her duties or choose another path.

I was easily carried away by the storyline. I loved the character development. I felt the pain Lilandra felt in making her decision. If I were in her shoes I don’t know if I would have made the same choice. I loved the ending though and can’t wait to see what happens next with this series. Great short story!

The Seal of Solomon by Nadine Travers a thrilling five-star read. This is Supernatural Intelligence Agency: World Two and I devoured book one Blood rebellion, this starts the same way but focuses on a different character so it is a different story, this is just as fast paced and thrilling as the first story and will keep you hooked from start to finish. Lilandra Reeves is just a great character and will show you some great depth, but she isn’t the only character in this story, there are so many great other characters and they all have great differences that keep the story going. As with all great stories, I only wish we had more pages to devour.

Seal of Solomon: A Lilandra Reeves adventure is the 2nd book in the Supernatural Intelligence Agency series. Lilandra is a warrior witch, tasked with retrieving and protecting the famous Seal of Solomon, an ancient artefact that can be used to control demons. However, she isn’t the only person looking for her, the Lady also wants the seal for her own nefarious plans. Lilandra sets out on her mission to retrieve it not expecting to meet the others who are competing, especially not the blast from the past that comes along with it bringing her an extremely tempting offer. This is a nice short read full of adventure, a nice glimpse into what will no doubt be another exciting installment.

This is a nice short story. We follow Lilandra and her attempts to get the Seal of Solomon. We run across humans, vampires, werewolf’s and half-giants. Her travels take her far and put her against her worst enemy. Hope. This is enjoyable. I read this fairly quickly and liked the action and suspense.

The Seal of Solomon: A Lilandra Reeves Adventure (Supernatural Intelligence Agency Book 2) by Nadine Travers is a paranormal story and is a very quick read. I was confused in the beginning because I was sure I had read it before but what I quickly realised is that the first book in the series started the same way just told by a different character. Once I realised that I settled into the story and the action and danger, lies and deceit, hope and emotions. Nadine has created a world where shifters and witches, and a whole lot of different magical beings’ dwell but each must live in their own sections. Some are fighting to keep the magical items away from those who seek to use for harm and others are fighting for a cause that is full of lies and deceit. I enjoyed the story but wish it was longer.

The Seal of Solomon: A Lilandra Reeves Adventure (Supernatural Intelligence Agency: World, Book 2)) is by Nadine Travers. After reading Blood Rebellion (Book One), as well as getting a snippet for this book at the end of that story, I was really anticipating reading this book.
Let me start by saying that I absolutely love the cover- even if I hadn’t read Book One, I would have snapped up this story just on that cover alone.
As with the previous book- this is an urban fantasy- with supernatural elements, action, adventure, suspense, drama, danger, intrigue, and mystery. It is fast paced short story, which makes for quick and easy reading. Like book one, I really wish this book had been longer- as I would have loved to have been able to immerse myself in the story more. This is a super quick and easy read- but I felt the story may have had more of an impact if it had been able to fully ‘develop’ with more length to the plot.
I did enjoy this story, and feel it is the pick of the series, so far.
Looking forward to reading Juniper’s stories!

Thank you, Nadine Travers.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I’ve read Nadine Travers’ books in the past and they’ve had an effect on me in an amazing way. She writes in a powerful way because not only is she an amazing writer but her books take you to a different place. Her works keep you entertained in some of the best ways. Her work is unpredictable in the ways that keep you tuned in to reading more and her characters are easy to love with each book. Just like previous books I’ve read from this author, it’s action-packed and original with great world building which takes it to another level but makes it easy to read.
In this book, someone wants authority over the incubus. Using the Seal of Solomon, he magically summons combatant master, Lilandra Reeves.
Lilandra has to proceed to Vancouver to secure the release. Lilandra lives with guilt from her past as her partner’s death but since she’s become committed to the coven.
When the werewolf, Donovan, begins to bargain with her: He guarantees that for the head of the organization, he could bring her partner back to life. If she brings the seal to his lady, as opposed to her coven.
Lilandra is between a rock and a hard place as she doesn’t know which side to choose. What do these two breeds want with these magical entities? Will she fall for the deal with the devil at a promise to bring her mate back?

I enjoyed this fantasy-adventure short story. It is a well developed story that I was pulled into the story right from the beginning. The characters brought the story life and made it feel realistic, engaging. This story is full of drama, suspense and twists and turns that left me turning pages. Lilandra is a witch warrior specialist that got her soul mate killed in one of her past missions. Donovan has a deal for her that she can’t refuse, to give her the one thing she has wanted but she needs to help him. Will she bring the seal at his Lady or will she bring it at the coven? Why are the magical items wanted so much? This is a really great story that entertained me to the end. I highly recommend this book.

The story The Seal of Solomon – Lilandra’s Reeves Adventure (Supernatural Intelligence Agency Book 2) by Nadine Travers is a fast-paced book that is entertaining to read. The story pulled me in and didn’t let me go until the final page. The book includes action, danger, magic, and magical creatures. I loved reading about the character of Lilandra Reeves. She is a witch warrior who has been called to protect and rescue the Seal of Solomon. She finds herself up against those who are determined to have the Seal. She is tempted by an offer that is both personal and emotional. Will she take the offer? Why are different factions going after magical objects? I love the character of Lilandra as she is strong, independent, and confident. She also has a side that is still affected by what has happened in the past. The book had me turning pages to find out what happens next. There are other characters introduced who interact with Lilandra. There are some who I wondered what their true motives are and others that work with her. This is an exciting tale that you don’t want to miss out on reading. I highly recommend reading it.

We are taken on quite an adventure. This book gives us a unique take on excalibur and all that entails. There is action, magic, originality, and great characters. This is the first time I have read anything from this author and I’m glad I did because I enjoyed the way this book was written. You might be a little confused in the beginning but I promise you it does all come together and makes sense. “When Fate Calls, Should You Answer?”
Excalibur, the legendary sword, “calls out across the ages for a worthy hand”, and a cynical American student Lance is the chosen one. Although cynical Lance recognises his own destiny and so accepts fate and Excalibur. The voice of Excalibur becomes louder as Lance travels into the supernatural world below the London he is familiar with. As Lance becomes involved in warring families alongside friend Megan, he must find the hero inside himself and discover whether, “he rules the sword, or does the sword rule him?”. This is an exciting and gripping read which had me hooked from page one. A great mix of legend, myth, the supernatural and drama it is a fast paced page turner.
Black Blade is a unique twist on the legend of Excalibur and I liked Lance’s character, the unlikely hero who here’s the sword calling to him. This book took me on a great adventure along with Lance and it is wonderfully written. I was immersed in the supernatural world below London thanks to Charalambides great world building. I found it was an exciting and fun read.

Lance is a hero who does his best to survive high school, especially in a world that doesn’t seem to make a lot of sense. When his school receives a donation from an anonymous millionaire, Lance and his friend Megan, embark on an international trip to England.

Here, they will find a hand, bearing a sword, appears in a toilet bowl. From then on Lance knows he was the one to employ it. So, he has been called on a Quest with three Wizards named Albrecht, Reinhardt and Kendrick, along with Megan to safeguard Excalibur. Lance must also keep his friends safe from the army of magical soldiers.

Black Blade is a well written story and has everything from action to paranormal and was very enjoyable to read. It is a modern day story of Excalibur and a wonderful twist on the fairytale, where Lance, Megan and the wizards are all on a treasure hunt.

This is a really enjoyable book and would really recommend. It is full of twist and turns with fantasy, adventure and amazing characters. Looking forward to reading more from the author.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

When I first started reading Black Blade (Black Blade Book 1) by Alexander Charalambides, I was a bit put off with the short clipped dialogue of our hero and heroine. But as I continued to read, I realized how normal that was. That is exactly how a great many of us speak and communicate. It was worth sticking with it because as you progress through the story the other characters in the story have dialogue that is a thing of beauty. I love language and how it flows together, and this author brings it to the fore. The characters are very unique, well described and memorable. The world he builds is diverse and you can almost smell it. There is plenty of action, twists and turns and quite unpredictable. Then, of course, there is always the story within the story. Just a little head up here the story goes at a nice little pace until you near the end. It’s a page turning roller coaster after that. Be prepared.

Black Blade is the first book I have read by Alexander Charalambides. This book brings the story of Excalibur to modern times. Although this book started out slow for me, it really came on strong a couple of chapters in. It is full of action and adventure, and the characters really grew as the story progressed. Lance and Megan, American teenagers, take a special trip for college to the UK to tour a museum, and that is where the story begins. I really like that the story is told in multiple POV. You really learn what each of the characters are thinking that way. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and look forward to reading more by Alexander Charalambides.

This book was a truly fascinating read, what with the internal monologue, his interactions with Megan, and just the overall feel for the book. Following the different point of views was difficult to understand at first, but definitely made the book a unique read! It spins off our well known story of Excalibur, and oh boy is it a good one! Definitely worth the read and an absolute page turner! I rarely read this genre but I truly love this book!

This story is a great twist on the story of Excalibur. The story is a fast pace story. Once I started this book I could not put it down. The characters of the book are fully developed. I found that the characters are what makes this story of Excalibur fun. Lance, the main character, always knew that he was special. He could sense the greatness within himself. He has some rough times ahead. I recommend this story. It is the perfect break you need from the craziness of today.

What I love about this book is it teaches us something we should all carry with us no matter who or what we are. I love books that hold values and morals as a storyline. Cheesy, I know but I love it. Alex Charalambides does this perfectly in this tale which is one for the ages.
The book draws you in with Excalibur, who is always on a search, has one question for the universe, “When Fate calls, will you answer?” but calls across the eras for a notable hand until a distrustful American student is selected.
Lance, a prideful young man, is ready to assume his destiny and step out on faith. Lance is on for a wild ride into the supernatural world below modern London, his sword begins to speak as the inner champion roars deeper.
Caught in a battle within mystical families, Lance faces the conclusive question of: Does he rule the sword or is it the other way around?
This book is an instant classic with the storytelling technique that Alex Charalambides writes this story. Grab this one and you won’t regret it!

This is quite an adventure. Filled with wizards, Magic and Excalibur is a retelling of a classic. While the story drew me in I struggled with the timeline of the characters. It is confusing to me and makes the story not flow very smoothly. Causing me to lose interest at times. I plugged on and the story does pick up near the end. The main character held my interest and wondering what would happen to him and the sword. There are few secondary characters who I liked and others not so much.

Blood Rebellion (Supernatural Intelligence Agency: World #1)Blood Rebellion by Nadine Travers

3 ½ Stars

Blood Rebellion (Supernatural Intelligence Agency Book #1) by Nadine Travers is an urban fantasy- a paranormal detective story with supernatural elements, action, adventure, drama, intrigue, mystery, and danger. It is fast paced short story, which makes for quick and easy reading. I was immediately intrigued by the title, cover, and blurb. The blurb held so much promise, and I really do love a great urban fantasy.
But having said that, when I purchased my copy of this book, I hadn’t realised that I had already read it, last year, as part of the “Rogue Skies” Anthology. As I began reading, it felt so familiar, and as the story went on, I realised where I’d seen/read it before. I had enjoyed it the first time I read it as part of the anthology, and it still had the same appeal this time around. But reading it again now, as book one in the series, I would like to have had more character details, backstory(ies), story/series development, and depth- as a lot of the story, for me, seemed a bit rushed or a little cut short. I think the story would have benefited from being just a little longer with added details and development. It would have elevated it to a whole new level.
Don’t get me wrong, the story is well written and intriguing, I just felt like I wanted to know more.
I will be following the series to see what happens- but I do hope the next book/s have got more detail and development.

Thank you, Nadine Travers.

This is a relatively new author to me but I was excited to read more of his work. I loved the new take on this old story.
