This is the second book in The Shadows Chronicles. This story carries on with the first book and its a story which will keep you gripped from beginning to end. The characters are well written that you can’t help feel every emotion they go through and when they face dangers you feel like you are right there with them.
Levi and Tasha are a couple that in the eyes of the world shouldn’t work. Levi is a Lycan and Tasha is a Vampire. Both of their clans have been at work for years and their love could end up in their death. However neither of them are prepared to go down without a fight. After fighting in the war in the last book to bring the Lycans and Vampires together there is now another threat. And this one looks like it may destroy not only their love but the way of life.
There are loads of secrets and lie to unravel after decades of hate between the Lyans and Vampires, however they need to now work together more than ever to stop the hellspawn from destroying not only their lives but the humans that don’t even realise a war is happening.
Can the love between Levi and Tasha’s love be used as proof that the two clans can exist together in harmoney or will the hellspawn and the evil person after Tasha tear the couple apart for ever?

This is the second book in this series which is just as great as the first one. I highly suggest reading the first book as it is just as great. This is one of my favorites by this author which I really enjoyed. This is a well written story that has a ton of paranormal and supernatural suspense. The characters bring the fantasy to a new level as they bring the story to life. They are connectable and kept me turning pages to the end. The relationship between the vampires and Lycans are being tested throughout this story. Is Levi and Tasha’s relationship strong enough to survive what is coming? I really enjoyed them in the first book and certainly enjoyed them more in this one. They just made the story for me. They are strong characters that have great chemistry. This is a great story that I highly recommend along with this author.

This book is just as fantastic as book 1!! I always love stories with vampires and a dark world. This story of Christian and Delilah….loved it. The Consulate is very powerful and disapproved Christian and Delilah’s mating and it ended up leaving her on death’s doorstep, and Christian had no other choice but to “turn” Delilah. Christian wants revenge on those who hurt Delilah. There is no doubt that Christian and Delilah’s love is tested….and their chemistry is great. I just love this book by Author Sylvia Black.

Forbidden Mate has a good story, and we get to learn a lot more about the characters in this world. The characters of Tasha and Levi go through some interesting trials, and I appreciated the sections that were told from Levi’s point of view. They were illuminating into his thoughts and what is important to him. Evil Castus continues to plague Tasha, as well as the Master of the hellspawn, who inches closer to grabbing her into his clutches. I enjoyed seeing more with Radar, Levi’s friend and battlemate, and also Levi’s grandmother. Altogether, I found more variety and depth to this book than the first one. Keep it up, Robertson!

Forbidden Mare by CR Robertson is the second book in The Shadow Chronicles. This is an amazing follow up to the first book and one that I was so excited to start reading. The instant I started reading this book I was hooked. I was taken right back into this world and the characters. The way the author writes helped to create such a vivid picture and really made the book what it is. I was completely immersed in this story and what was happening. This is the kind of book that you will want to read in one sitting as you just can’t put it down. After the first book I was intrigued to see where the author would take the series and watching that develop over this book was fascinating. And I loved how you could still feel that strong connection between Levi and Tasha just as much as you could before. This is a brilliant series and I am already looking forward to what comes next.

This has extremely well written description writing which enhanced the story telling. Enemies for centuries and now a treaty. Old and New enemies are after Tasha and Levi they are not safe anymore. As I got engrossed more in the story I had to know what happen next to this couple.

Gets better and better! I am totally smitten with this series. Tasha and Levi are now on my list of favourite book couples. The story just keeps getting better and just when you think there just couldn’t be more, another twist and off we go! The author has taken the cross-species paranormal theme but evolved it into something brilliantly different. I can’t recommend this series enough if you are after a refreshing paranormal fantasy.

Paranormal masterpiece Such an excellent piece of writing. I was drawn in from the first word and held captive right til the end. Tasha and Levi hold a special place in my heart. I really enjoyed their story and the roller coaster they endured to be together. Characterisation is on point and the world building brilliant. The journey is far from over – I can’t wait to check out book two and get some more answers. Highly recommend this awesome series starter.

This is my Review of Master Tuscano Master of the Consulates Book 2 by Sylvia Black. I can say I am already hooked to this series and can’t wait to read book 3! This book mainly focuses on Christian, a member of the consulate, Delilah, a human who was turned due to dire circumstances, but it still keeps the characters from book 1 in sync greatly balancing the story. I am still going to say that Luce and Salvatore are still my favorite characters, but the relationship of Christian and Delilah is an amazing story itself with how much they’ve been through since they already had a relationship before the tragedy happened. If you love romance with a touch of steamy and demanding, this is your series. The main storyline is still going on and I love how it changes so much, but we still get the good relationship parts. I have already added Sylvia on my author list of good books. 👍

A twisted story of interspecies love, and the ravages that war wreaks on beings. Tasha and Levi are the epitome of star-crossed lovers, being forced apart to participate on opposite sides of a war neither agrees with. The plot is interesting and varied enough to keep reader engaged. The revelation of the shared enemy was a cool shift in the story that I didn’t expect. I would have liked to see a little more character development around Tasha and Levi, some layers in their relationship and personalities. All in all, a paranormal romance that will keep you guessing.

With the vampire-lycan war coming to an end, an even deadlier enemy emerges to stalk the immortals.
Lycan Levi and Vampire Tasha were born sworn enemies…and ended up as fated mates. Now, as an outside danger tests the tentative alliance between the species, their only chance of survival is together.
As every step forward takes them deeper into a web of lies and deceit that spans centuries, the secrets hiding around every corner threaten to destroy everything they ever believed. Time is running out, and the only hope left is to unravel the mystery behind lycan and vampire genetics.
Evolution defined them, but it also created a monster that could annihilate them all. As Levi and Tasha’s love defies every law their species lived by, it still may not be strong enough to save them from the Hellspawn.

So this is book 2 in the series, and I am really enjoying these books. It has a mixture of romance, danger and supernatural beings which makes for a gripping read. And gripped I was. I read this book in one sitting and loved it. Really enjoyed Deliah and Christian’s relationship. The stakes in this book was great and it was so good!

Christian is caught between two worlds, his world of vampires and the human world, can he convince the Consulate that his love for a human women can be granted.
Christian Tuscano is one of the twelve vampires which collectively are the Masters of the Consulate but Christian has fallen for a women he should have no right loving as a vampire but he has to try and convince them that he needs to be with Delilah but when the consulate make there decision it is not to be, but this does not deter Christian.
When tragedy happens can he forgive himself for the action he is about to do to save the women he loves without her permission or the consulate.
This is the second story in the Masters of the Consulate series and I think this is my favourite book out of the two so far. This is a very modern twist on the love story and is a great world to delve into and let your imagination run wild. Delilah’s character speaks volumes to me with her strong and unswerving character that you can really see the determination in her actions that she is not going to be the victim and try to make whoever pay.
The two main characters are well match and when reading there story you don’t feel that the author has rushed any feelings or chemistry with them, they flow and ebb nicely through the book and with the fantasy element to the story it makes a brilliant read.
I can’t wait to read the next instalment in this series or other books by this wonderful author.

This is the second book in this series and it is just as fast paced as the first book! Master Tuscano is a very dominant male who finds his mate, Delilah, in a bit of a bind. He avenges her and it costs her humanity. While she comes into her own right as a dominant female, they continue to fight the Big Bad that is attacking vampire’s way of life.
The development of the female character’s friendships draw you in to the story. It’s very easy to identify with the need to protect what is yours and want to defend it all costs!

I really enjoyed this paranormal mystery romance. This def took some turns I was not expecting! A quicker read than I was expecting too as it kept me so riveted!
I’m not sure I fall for the insta-lust between Luce and Salvatore, but I did enjoy the attraction to one another and mystical the connection they had. I enjoyed that it was more of a slow burn romance with sexual tension building. I also enjoyed the twist on who Luce could be and why she hates the nickname Lucy.
Some BDSM or Dom/Sub vibes but not overtly BDSM.
I really liked Luce’s growing friendship and working relationship with Clay, Terrence, Silver, and Lucas. I also enjoyed scenes with Embry and the levity she brings to a fairly dark story.
Trigger warning for abduction and attempted trafficking of women.

Whew, I’d love to see this one on the big screen. Serious movie material right here. I want to see Salvatore’s eyes go from black to red!! Anyone else? I really love the characters and the action in this novel. Luce is my kind of heroine – from her choice of coffee to her instinct to protect and serve. She felt like someone I could walk into a precinct and meet. Salvatore is your Mr. Tall, Dark and Powerful, but is taken down by some green crystalline eyes. He has got that vampire sexiness down. The action started right off with women coming up missing. It’s a great read with a great mix of several elements.

Lucianna is a police officer assigned to a case where women go missing. When a robbery at Salvatore’s casino goes wrong, Salvatore must rescue Lucianna from death. They must work as a team to figure out about the missing women before its to late. I love how this story flows and the sparks between Lucianna and Salvatore! Cannot wait to read book 2!

I was pulled in right from the beginning. I had a couple of late nights with this book.
Salvatore is the overlord of the consulate of master, he finds out that women are coming up missing in Las Vegas, and he is on his way there to try and figure out what is going on. He gets some intell that he finds very interesting. Lucianna has been given an undercover assignment, she is also a clairvoyant. Salvatores club is the first one that her team focuses on. When she meets Salvatore things get very interesting. She quickly becomes a challenging distraction for Salvatore. There is a twist that causes Salvatore to make a choice about Lucianna’s life. Will he make the right one?
Overall this was a great and thrilling read. I loved the characters and I can’t wait to see what’s coming next in the series. The chemistry between them was great. The author does a great job with her writing and pulls you right in. 1-click and get started today on this great new series.

Master Tuscano (Masters of the Consulate Book 2) by Sylvia Black was even better then book 1 in this series. Once again ms. Black takes us into a world that is the most perfect combination of human and vampire and makes us fall in love with her characters all over again. Once again this book is full of drama, romance, and several erotic scenes that will make you devour this short novella in one sitting. After reading book one in this series I knew I would love book two from start to finish and I was definitely right about that. Personally after finishing book one and book two I can’t wait for book three.

Master Descallia (Masters of the Consulate Book 1) by Sylvia Black is one of the most amazing novella’s I have ever read. When I first saw the cover of this book the colors and the font of the title drew me right away, combine that with the blurb I read about it and I just new I had to read this book. Ms. Black gives us amazing characters, great scenery, and a story that will have you on the edge of your seat from chapter one. While this book is twenty-five chapters the story itself is so full of drama, suspense, and add in some erotic scenes and you won’t be able to put it down.

This is the first book of this series and I’m already hooked waiting to read the next part of the series. The romance and seriousness is the perfect mix of emotions for the characters in this book. Salvatore and Lucianna are my favorite characters and can’t wait to see what happens next for them. This was a fun book to read. It had mystery, romance and a dash of suspense! The story was easy to follow and well written. I especially enjoyed how the characters developed and grew right up until the end. Vampires has always been made to be the villains and I loved how Sylvia used this angle to build her story on. We all love bad boys and what’s worse than a villain? How about a police officer that falls for said villain? Opposites attract and in this book that made for some epic chemistry! Delilah is off trying to get revenge on her own and ends up in several pickles of her own. Christian has to come to her rescue. I caught myself gasping and just feeling all the emotions as I was reading their adventures. It’s got witches, vampires, fairies, etc. Who doesn’t love paranormal stories? Master Descallia is the first book in the Masters of the Consulate series. This book wraps up the main story line, but there is room left to lead into the next book in the series. While this book is referred to as a romance, I felt it was more lust-filled than love filled. The main character, Salvatore, is a bit of an alphahole and I didn’t care for him very much. I know it’s a dark romance, which I usually love, but this didn’t feel dark so much as that he’s just a jerk. Maybe the description of dark is referring to the overall content, not specifically the romance? I did love that Lucianna was willing to stand up to him and call him out. Overall, the story was good – full of action and danger that’ll keep you turning the pages.

Ms Black you certainly do have a new fan! This is the first book that I have read from Sylvia Black and I will definitely be back for more as soon as possible.
Salvatore Descallia is Overlord of the consulate, it carries huge responsibility but it is a task he has done extremely well for many years….then along comes a complication in the form of a tough Vegas cop Lucianna Denaro.
Women start going missing in Vegas and Salvatore knows the vampire community are being set up to take the blame so with the help of Lucianna he must find the missing women and the nasty culprits who are abducting them, all while keeping Luci safe and fighting a growing, very intense attraction between them.
This book will keep you engaged from start to finish and you’ll be wanting more!!
