With the 3rd book in this series I still very much enjoy this Mafia world. This can still be read as a stand alone but does pick up where book 2 leaves off.
Izzy is a strong independent woman who meets her match in Lorenzo. He takes one look at her and knows he’s in trouble.
There is still a bit of a repetition in the writing that still bothers me and it was missing some of the emotion for me the other 2 books brought but it was still a quick enjoyable read.

The story follows Lorenzo, consigliere to the Larussio crime family, and Isabella, a journalist who is determined to spill the dirt of every crime family in Vegas. Lorenzo realised the Larussio family could use Isabella’s skills to their advantage, but he doesn’t expect to fall in love with her. My favourite character is Isabella and my least favourite character – it’s the same every single time, evil man – is De Rosa. I recommend this book because I’ve now read the three of Via Mari’s Sicilian Gods series, and I’ve loved all three of them. Each one is full of angst and passion, with a different take on mafia romance each time, and I can’t forget the strong, independent women featured. I can’t wait to read her next book. I know this quote isn’t romantic, but it felt important to share: “Sometimes it feels like we deal with more sharks on the legitimate side of the business than when dealing with the men who sell arms to the highest bidder in the dirtiest of alleys. Perhaps it’s because we expect differently of them, but they are just as dirty if not dirtier than the rest of us.”

But there is something there she can’t quite understand, but she has learnt not to trust these powerful men.
Lorenzo see’s her and instantly is drawn to her, once he makes her a proposition to work with them, she is his not just in work but in body too, can he get Izzy to trust him and love him back?
OMG, I love this series. This book although the third book in the Sicilian Gods Series you can read as a stand alone as each book focuses on one member of the family. This happens to be Lorenzo’s book which what a fast paced brilliant read. Lorenzo in the other books has always been a fleeting character and it was nice to read his “Forever Love” story. The character of Izzy was a brilliant equal to his character with fight and sass and it seems all your woman have the strength running through which makes them brilliant alpha ladies to these violent alpha males.
The only regret I have is not getting more of the Izzy’s relationship with “Families” in Italy as there is certainly a back story there which would be fascinating to read, also to understand the secret her father is keeping as that really peaked my interest but that may be in a different story relating to other characters we will see.
The story was well written and the two characters where just the right air of illusion to each other and to see the trust and chemistry build was brilliant to discovery.
Please, Please make Sergio your next story, he needs calming down with the love of a good woman, LOL.

I just love these dark mafia romances by this author. In this particular book, we get insight into the Lurussio’s family’s consigliere, Lorenzo. He is a dark, private, intense man, but on the inside, he is more caring then he lets on, but only for Isabella. Isabella is a reporter that is trying to secretly get the scoop on the mafia families of Vegas. However, Lorenzo, as consigliere, he knows all and calls her out when caught in one of their private clubs. The chemistry between the two is instant. In addition, they are both familiar with circumstances because Isabella’s father use to work for the family. Because of the attraction and her father, the Lurussio family offers her a deal to be their reporter and write the stories they want to be published. Isabella takes the job because, well does she really have a choice? It definitely starts as a love-hate relationship that quickly advances to love-love. However, being someone who is trying to spill the family’s secrets, will need to try really hard to gain her trust, but she needs it from him too, the lady’s man. Can the two of them find common ground to do what is best for all families involved? Can they learn to trust each other, even when love is clearly present? As all the other books in this series, it was a great, quick, sexy read. The author has a great way of just getting to the point – I am not a slow-burn lover and this author never keeps you waiting. Both characters were quite loveable and you can see the growth of love they both portray for each other. I also love that you can see the trust unfold through the story on both sides – it just makes the love story seem more believable. I am not sure if this is the end of the series it seemed like yes, but I know there are more characters that can become important pieces for the family so I hope to continue to read more on the Lurussio family.

This is an amazing read. The heat and mysterious nature only keep you all the more wrapped up in the book.

This book is another incredible addition to an already amazing series. I could not wait to pick this one up and start reading, I had to see what the author had in store. The story is just as intense and captivating as the others and I loved reading about the characters. Their chemistry was undeniable and I was pulled into their connection instantly. I knew once I started this book I wouldn’t be able to put it down because I had to see how the story would develop. This author creates fantastic stories and this one is no exception. Whenever I see a new book by her I pick it up without hesitation. I cannot recommend her books highly enough and I am already excited to see what the next one will be.

I absolutely love this series and this AMAZING author so damn much!! I basically only have to see her name on a book now and I know I have to read it! This 3rd book of the series brings us Izzy and Lorenzo who are fantastic characters with sizzling hot chemistry. Add to that the fantastic storyline and you will be completely hooked on this book from start to finish. If you haven’t read the first two books of the series, that’s ok you can read this book and still enjoy it but I really recommend reading the entire series from the very start to enjoy it even more and because its all just so damn good!

You can feel the emotions and their personalities. The premise of the book is fantastic and the flow is smooth and flowing. I found this to be a wonderful addition to the series.

5 stars I love, love, love Via’s work. Via is known for writing steamy dark mafia romances and I have love each and every one of them. I jumped to grab a copy when I saw this new book was out. Consigliere’s Revenge is the third gripping book in the Sicilian Gods series. Make sure you read them in order or you will be missing out on all this dark and delectable goodness. Via does dark and dangerous so well that you are sad when the final page draws near. In the dark of the crime world these ruthless, dangerous and powerful men do not play around when their backs are up you can be sure that there will be retribution, retaliation and sweat, sweat revenge. It is a deliciously dark, enemies to lover’s mafia romance. It is gritty, raw and brutal, savage and sinful, passionate and bloody, intense and violent. But once you are in their hearts there is nothing they will stop at to keep you safe. With heartache, action, twists and turns, secrets, lies, danger, scars, mistrust, enemies, crime lords and so much more there is something for everyone and to keep the pages turning and become lost in this extraordinary world. This is an author that I have read every book by her and loved each one. One of the things I enjoy most about this author is her ability to pull me into the story with ease. Her books are well written and hard to put down. This book is no different. It is the third book in this series. It can be read as a standalone but I highly suggest reading the previous books in this series to help your enjoyment of this author. The characters are strong, steamy and supportive of each other. They pull you into their world and keep you coming back for more. They have great growth and their chemistry is off the charts. This is a fast paced story that has a little bit of suspense added to the romance. I really enjoyed this story and found it easy to read. I highly recommend this book and this author. A must read!

Loved this story. You do have to ready the first book in the series to fully understand and enjoy this story. Once I picked it up I couldn’t put it down. The author did a great job with both character building and moving the plot along. Highly recommend

This author is an amazing writer. The mafia books do not disappoint. They are mesmerizing, action-packed. A good romance develops between a Mafia leader and a doctor. The story of the Mafia fighting for what they want. I could not put it down. Can’t wait to read more of these books!

Book two of the series and only getting better. I was so pleased with how well balanced this book was. There was a perfect storm of steam and drama. The characters were well thought out and phenomenal. You couldn’t help but be drawn right into the book unable to step away even for a moment. Overall this was a very good book. The plot moved along that it did not become stale but had twist and turns so that it wasn’t easy for the reader to guess. The beginning started out just a little confusing, I think more context was needed but that was very easy to overcome! Even having not read the first one it did not take away from this book!

This is one of those Mafia stories that shows it all. The inner workings of the Mafia families, the fights, the shootouts. The author does an amazing job with character building too. Emelia is a badass spitfire who isn’t afraid to stand up for herself. While Dominic is the underboss who is protective of her from the jump. Enemies to lovers in one of the most dangerous worlds possible. Definitely worth the read.

This romance is the second read in this Sicilian Gods series . These two lovers from rival families are drawn to each other and can’t seem to move on. As per a mafia romance, you can find power, love, loyalty and revenge, which I hope you enjoy with this read.

This story follows Dominic and Emelia, who get tangled up after a battle between the two crime families in Las Vegas leaves Emelia in the hands of her enemy. The good is that the overall plot and character development are decent; it’s an interesting storyline. There are some things I wasn’t all that impressed with, though, and some of it bordered on annoying. The use of “capiche” to emphasize certain statements struck me as a bit tacky in the dialogue. Some of the push-pull between the main characters felt forced or just not entirely plausible. There were a few points where the characters get flirty or frisky shortly after some big tragic event takes place, so it feels like the reader is getting steamrolled a bit for the sake of some manufactured sizzle.

Does the rival’s daughter cause an end to the Larussio reign, or does she become Dominic’s love? Find out in Underboss’s Retaliation. Again, all characters are lovable with realistic feelings. The emotions are palpable through the pages. I would not change a single thing. Full of romance, mystery, and suspense, I could not but Underboss’s Retaliation down. The series can be a standalone, but I highly suggest reading Boss’s Vendetta first. It sets the stage for Underboss’s Retaliation. If you are looking for a dark romance series, be sure to check out Sicilian Gods.

I thought that this series couldn’t get better then this book came out. Dominic and Emilia as a couple surpasses Salvatore and Adrianna. Both are fiery, headstrong and passionate. Their loyalty for those that they love, unsurpassed. Emilia is caught in the crosshairs of the war and lucky for her, Dominic crossed her path. From the moment that Dominic set eyes on her, he knew that she was the forbidden fruit but he couldn’t help himself.
Action, betrayal and lies fill the pages of this book, along with passion, attraction and love. Dominic is no nonsense, truthful and ruthless. Emilia is headstrong, sexy and sassy. What a couple! I definitely recommend this book. Can’t wait to see what happens next.

Dominic and Emilia are not supposed to be together, members of competing crime families. But plans change and lives rearranged. There is no way there won’t be blow back if they are ever found out.
This is book 2 in this series but can totally be read as a stand-alone. There are references to other family members from book one but not enough that the reader would have unanswered questions. Do you want to read the first book? Of course. No reason at all not to read this authors book. Period.
Unable to put this book down I could have easily finished it in one day. But something about my family needing me and having to go to work always interrupts my reading time.
The Larussios are an Italian Crime family, their enemies are the De Rosas. When one family believes they have been insulted or crossed, there will be a bloodbath in return. This story has no shortage of anger, blood and violence. Luckily though it also has a good share of sexy times and alpha protection.
This book is not recommended for sensitive readers or those under 18 years old. But definitely for those readers looking for excitement and a wild ride.

Dominic Larussio is the underboss, the second in command within the Larussio family and that honour comes with a lot of responsibilities, he is the right hand man of the boss and is as loyal as they come, not to mention ruthless, he takes no prisoners, ever. Emelia De Rosa is a Mafia princess within a ruthless family, but like a lot of the other women in these families, she is kept out of the loop and doesn’t know much about the family business, but it doesn’t mean she doesn’t know how to protect herself.
Revenge and retaliation are the hallmarks of the Larussio name and anyone caught in the crossfire has to know which side they are on, but as Dominic hunts down a Mafia princess in her own home, he has a plan in mind to find her and get the information he is after. However, when he finds Emelia in a secret passage, she is more to handle than he expects, she fights for her life and doesn’t give in no matter what situation she finds herself in. In the end, Dominic has to make a decision whether to hand her over to the boss, or keep her safe and away from the bloodshed surrounding her, especially when she sees it first hand.
As soon as their eyes lock, Dominic and Emelia know that something in their world will change and Dominic decides her safety is the most important thing and Emelia, knowing what it will cost cannot keep her mind or hands off of him. Things are never smooth sailing in the world of the Mafia, so when further revenge is sought and new hands are played, a dangerous game of cat and mouse ensues, but unbeknownst to Emelia, what she thought she saw turned out to be a lie, so as soon as she is able, she runs, but what will the consequences of her actions be?
Will Dominic be able to put his plan into action before all hell breaks loose, or will the princess shove a spanner in the works and being everything he has worked towards crashing down around them? This is a dark Mafia romance with plenty of action throughout, it is suspenseful and spicy, with more than a hint of tenacity included and a story which will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.

This is book 2 in the Sicilian God’s series. I am completely in love with these books. There is so much going in the stories that you feel like your holding your breath to find out what happens. There are so many twists and turns that always keep you guessing. There is danger and action as we learn about the war between Mafia families and their need for revenge and retribution. As well as all this we have the passion and desire we get from our main couple in the stories in this case it’s Dom and Emelia.
Emelia is the daughter of the De Rosa family. She was born and raised a Mafia princess. Dominic calls her a wildcat and he is not wrong. She isn’t the meek and mild princess people think. She has guts and can handle herself and she won’t let nothing or no one stop her from protecting her family. Even the enemy.
Dominic was never ment to fall in love with her. She’s the enemy after all. Nothing good can come from it but there is no denying the attraction and feelings between them. Dominic is prepared to risk it all, even disobeying his own family to be with Emelia. No matter the cost she is his.
What unravels is a whirlwind of a tail where deceit and secrets start to unravel, enemies are everywhere and you don’t know who you can trust. Will Dominic and Emelia’s forbidden relationship stand any chance of survival? Or will the waring families end it before it begins?
