This is the first book in A Dark Sparrow Series. This is the first book I’ve read by the author, but it won’t be my last. Kells has really done a great job writing this.
Deva, a Dark Sparrow, goes to help Lazarus. He wants to watch his brothers and make sure he’s kept out of harm’s way. Little does Deva know that the brother is going to capture her heart. The quote I chose for Deva is: “I agree. And I couldn’t stop thinking about what Finch and my father had said. All those speeches about patience, about preparing for war. What if he was speaking about a war from within? What if Finch had prepared things way in advance, and placed his pawns in strategic places.”

This is the second book of A Dark Sparrow Novels. As the second book I’ve read by the author I can say I’ve enjoyed it. Kells knows how to capture a reader’s attention.
Zoe knows her languages and is requested by Beatrice for a favor. Keep an eye on one of Lazarus’s half brothers. Not sure what she’s getting herself into she goes. She finds herself going back to the past. The quote I chose for Zoe is: “You had love in your life, and even if you struggled and battled through some tough times, you had a choice to do something with it. Grabbing that power. Kells knows how to get attention with everything she writes. So far I’ve read all The Dark Sparrow Novels and I can’t wait for more. These characters will never be forgotten.
Liam, a cop and the fourth brother to Lazarus, is upset that they didn’t bring down their father. Gabrielle had to leave as an emergency came up, but she brought a gift. Someone to cut Finch’s money. This is another great read by Kells. Dark Bastard was an amazing read and I can’t wait for the next one. It’s part of A Dark Sparrow Series, but can be read as a standalone.

This is not the first book I’ve read by the author. The Dark Sparrow Novels get better each one I read. King Bastard is by the far the best and we get to learn more about the head guy.

Sasha came into his life when it was at his lowest and she just might be the best thing that has happened to him. Dark Sparrow Box Set: The Complete 6-Book Series contains the entire collection of books in the Dark Sparrow Series by India Kells. I keep saying it, but I have loved everything India Kells has written, and these books are no exception. She is one of my favourite authors and I one-click anything she releases, no questions asked. This is a fantastic opportunity to get a complete series in one exciting boxset. They definitely provide a riveting read, from beginning to end- as expected Ms. Kells has woven some really gripping, well thought out, and completely engrossing stories. Each book focuses on one of the bastard ‘brothers’ and the woman who steals his heart. But the brothers also have recurring roles in the overall series too. Each book adds to the series, building on what came previously, painting a bigger picture in the process, adding layers and facets to the overall storyline. My review for each individual book can be found on each title, separately, below is a general overview of this thrilling boxset.

–Lost Bastard (Dark Sparrow Book One) This is Aleksei and Diva’s story. If you are a MMA/ Russian Mafia romantic suspense lover, then this is one book you won’t want to miss.
–Cold Bastard (Dark Sparrow Book 2) We follow Archer and Zoe through all the intriguing developments in this fantastic second chance romance. Even though I have adored all the books and characters in this series- this one dug itself a little deeper into my heart and is definitely one of my favourites.
–Wild Bastard (Dark Sparrow Book 3) I loved Isabelle and Kai’s story, and I am sure you will too. There is danger, suspense and second chances that will have you hooked right till the end.
–True Bastard (Dark Sparrow Book 4) This is the story of Liam Harker and Sister Catriona Walsh. The sinner and the nun. Yes, a nun!!! And their story was every bit as intriguing as you might imagine! I loved that this book also helps to build a bigger picture of the brothers and their on-going father issues.
–Dark Bastard (Dark Sparrow Book 5) Sam and Ellie’s story- OMG did I feel for those two. They have been through so much and I was so happy they found each other- but that’s not to say there weren’t a few anxious moments through the story. I could feel their sadness and the weight of their ‘burdens’. Sam was ready to end it all- but a misdialled number connects him with Ellie- and so the adventure began.
–King Bastard (Dark Sparrow Book 6) This was such a bittersweet read for me. Having read all the previous instalments, I truly connected with this band of brothers and looked forward to following each one as they got their own book. So, knowing this was the last book in the series was sad- I was sooo not ready to say goodbye…. But at the same time, I desperately wanted to know how things would finally play out, but more importantly, getting a front row seat to the ‘Oz’ show- and what a fantastic show it was!! Ms. Kells definitely had me completely engrossed in the story- I devoured the book in a couple of hours, just so I could find out what happens.
These books are so well written with lots of complexities, depth, and texture- which resulted in exciting and incredibly compelling stories. There was a lot of funny quips and banter too, which help to lighten and balance all the action, emotion, and highly charged moments that occur throughout the series. I love the way Ms. Kells develops her characters, they are all fantastic, and entirely interesting (even the baddies)- pulling me further and further into the story, and always leaving me with a desperate need to know what’s going to happen next. Ms. Kells creates quite brilliant, intricate, and suspenseful storylines which included lots of action, danger, deadly games of cat and mouse, perilous situations, evil masterminds, lots of secrets, difficult choices, shocking revelations, electrifying chemistry, plenty of sizzle… and so much more! I really recommend this Box Set, as I am sure you will love it just as much as I have. I can’t wait for Ms. Kells next release, whatever that may be! Happy Reading!

This is another romantic suspense which will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout as you read along the path they all travel to get to the conclusion of the story.

Wild Bastard, the third novel in the Dark Sparrow series, is gripping! Kai Jones, the laid back one in the crazy Hawaiian shirts, gets a blast from the past when Isabel Osborne walks back into his life. Isabel is a force all her own with a past she would rather keep to herself. I simply loved this story. Kia and Isabel are like magnets, it only takes a flip to repel or attract. I am so happy I have another book to read in this series!

Well. I said on my last review that Hector is my favorite but Kai is a VERY close second. Not only do I love his choice of attire 😉, but I love HIM as well. All these bastards sure are drool worthy. This is the third installment in the Dark Sparrow series and India Kells did not fail to deliver another incredible story! This is the story of Kai and Isabel. Kai and Isabel met years ago in Hawaii, fell in love, and Isabel just disappeared. Isabel is thrown back into Kai’s life as him and his bastard brothers are determined to take down his father. Isabel is a strong self-made woman but is terrified of Kai finding out all the secrets from her past. Their connection is still as strong as it was years ago in Hawaii, but can they survive the fight against Kai’s father? Can they survive each other finding out about their pasts? This author does a fantastic job drawing us into the story. Even though Kai and Isabel are the main focus, all the brothers make an appearance, yet the story is very balanced. I am ready for the next book!

Author India Kells does it again. This book was top notch. Isabel and Kai have met before and fell in love until she left without notice. Isabel had her reasons. After 15 years they are face to face again, pain and lost love brings back hurt and remorse to Isabel. Isabel is the black sparrow in this story and is put in close proximity to Finch. Finch wants to become Mayor of Chicago and enlists Isabel’s company to handle his campaign. I can not believe what happens in this book. Finch is worse than I ever thought. This story was a turning point in the series. I can’t wait to see what is going to happen in book 4. If you haven’t read this series, It is a must read.

Wild Bastard is a great second chance romance with a kick. Isabel is a strong, smart, self-made woman. I loved her character. Getting to know Kai was interesting, but I will say that of the brothers so far, I connected with Kai’s backstory the least – which is odd because I usually connect to military characters pretty strongly. It might be because we didn’t really get to see how his past affects him to the extent that we see it with Archer and Aleksei. It’s mentioned a couple of times, but we don’t see the intense emotional toll so it feels superficial. One thing I loved about the story is that Isabel chose to hang onto a piece of her past and used it strategically. Her relationship with her mother regarding that piece is awesome. Overall, this is an amazing, intense story that will grab a hold of you and won’t let go.

Lost Bastard – Deva & Aleksei This is an intense story. I love how strong of a character Deva is. She hits a great balance of fierce and feminine. I enjoyed the way the layers of backstory were dripped throughout. The timing of it added depth and emotion. There is an emotional moment in chapter thirty-seven. Not going to lie, I teared up. Lost Bastard is a stellar read. You won’t be able to put it down.
Cold Bastard – Zoe & Archer This is a great read! I loved that Zoe is nerdy and snarky. Her wit is fabulously executed. The way she doesn’t back down from Archer creates spectacular tension between them. I loved the reappearance of the two neighbor characters. The odd pairing adds a little comic relief when they bicker with each other. The complexity of Archer’s character is excellent. The fight scene in the club shows his demons a bit. Cold Bastard is an excellent reading adventure. It’ll keep you turning the pages.

Such a great set of books. The story in each book is filled with steamy romance, drama and action making for an excellent read, and this is only the first 3 of the six brothers!
In these books Lazarus King recruits Beatrice, his friend and the woman in charge of sending people out on dangerous rescue missions. Lazarus’ mission? To save all his bastard brothers from their father, Jamieson Finch.
The first books is about Aleksei and Deva. Deva is such a strong woman. The way she pick up the pieces of her life after getting out of her father’s grip is admirable. When she chooses to help with wounded soldier’s rehab because of her brother, my heart melted, she is an amazing woman. When she meets Aleksei, it is no walk in the park. He pisses her off with almost everything he says but she still can’t deny the attraction they have.
The second book is about Zoe and Archer. I just love Zoe. She is such a strong, independent, beautiful woman yet she is fragile and slightly self conscious. I am super impressed with her skills as a translator. The chemistry between her and her new boss Archer is off the charts. My heart breaks for Zoe, as sometimes she feels like she is not good enough for a man like him and then other times I want to scream at them both to just communicate better! The drama that unfolds with Archer’s new business buy out and Zoe’s brother is super exciting and along with all the action, fighting and plotting, really gave the book that extra edge. The secondary characters are very lovable and just as interesting to get to know. I would highly recommend this book and I personally can not wait to read Kai and Izzy’s story.
The third book is Izzy and Kai. Kai’s father is a douche and Kai will stop at nothing to bring his father’s company down while also dealing with his feelings for Izzy. Izzy was brought in to help bring Kai’s father’s business down but at the same time her past secrets are revealed. Izzy is a strong woman, and her personality had me loving her from the very beginning.
These books can all be read as stand alones but they are MUCH better read in order, because they are all as equally amazing as the next one.

Her characters will make you fall in love with them, well some of them anyway. Others will just keep you wondering when they will get to meet Karma. Now that she has a boxed set I can read them again all together. A must if you love re reading the series as I do. So feel free to get started with this series. I will be out here waiting for her next series.

A Dark Sparrow Box Set is the first three books in the Dark Sparrow Series by India Kells. This set contains Lost Bastard, Cold Bastard and Wild Bastard. All three stories are a wonderful reads and can be read as standalones.
Lost Bastard features Aleksie and Deva. This book is full of action, mystery, danger and romance. This book had me hooked from the first page and I couldn’t put it down. The characters development is wonderful and the situations are intense.
Cold Bastard is the second book in the Dark Sparrow series by India Kells. I love a strong willed, kickass female lead and you will get that in this book. This story had me hooked from the very first page, and I read it in one sitting. It is full of action, suspense, humor and romance. The incredible writing skills and detailed characters made this a great read.
Wild Bastard is the third book in the Dark Sparrows Series by India Kells. This book hooked from the very first page and I couldn’t put it down till the last. This is Isabel and Kai’s story. They have so much chemistry, but also a bunch of baggage from their past. My emotions were taking big swings during this book, and I loved the action. I would highly recommend this book, series and author. I’m really looking forward to seeing what Ms.Kells has in store for us next. Review by @sunbarn

A Dark Sparrow Box Set – Books 1-3 (Dark Sparrow Series) by India Kells consists of the first three books and this series.
You have six men, all fathered by the same man who’s lives could be more different except for their one common bond, Daddy who is anything but father of the year material.
Of the three brothers featured in this box set I think I liked Kai the best but they are all so different I’m not sure if he was really my favorite if I picked him because he is freshest in my mind.
There is no lack in adventure, suspense and romance in all of the books. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

This is an awesome series! India Kells writes stories that draw in the reader and have you laughing and wanting to smack someone upside the head at the same time. These three books are filled with intrigue, strong alpha male characters and strong, sassy, intelligent females. The pages fly by as you the stories suck you into their world. The characters will make you love them and want to know them You will enjoy meeting these three brothers as well as their feisty women. The main storyline does run through all the books but in each book you meet another brother and it can be read as a stand alone.
I look forward to reading and finding the next three siblings and how they will join Kai, Alexsei, and Archer.

The Dark Sparrow Box Set contains Three full length novels in the Dark Sparrow Series By India Kells. These three books are Lost Bastard, Cold Bastard and Wild Bastard. This author is one that I have come to enjoy rather quickly, and I just keep devouring more and more of her books. The Dark Sparrow series so far is centered around 6 brothers and Each book in This Box Set is about one of those brothers( Alexsei, Archer, and Kai) and the women they love. The brothers have an evil father and they must band together to bring the evil bastard down. These books took me on a roller coaster of emotions that I didn’t wanna get off of and I enjoyed every second of it. I am looking forward to hopefully reading a story about the remaining brothers and reading more by this author! Happy Reading!

The Dark Sparrow Box set features the first three books in the Dark Sparrow series by India Kells.
The first novels features three brothers who have secrets and three women who come into their lives.
The brothers are trying to get away from their father but with their life, they never can.
I love the characters and how the men are okay with being alone or suffering from family tragedies until they meet the one that will melt the ice around their heart and show them there is more to life then how they are currently living.
It sounds like there will be three more books and I am excited to meet the other three brothers and see how this series ends.

India Kells writes wonderful series with strong characters. What I liked about THE DARK SPARROW series is that while the men are strong and the women are stronger.
Each book is a standalone but there are interwoven stories and characters that tie them all together.
I enjoyed rereading these one after the other. Each story is well developed, has a little bit of everything (including superhero undies) and all have satisfying endings.

OMG I love this series, I’ve read many books by this author and will read everything she ever writes and that obsession started with this series. Trust me when I say you need this series in your life and read them all in order just because they are that good and there is a continuing story throughout.
This is about 3 very different men that share the same blood and the same evil father and also the same mission. Each one is about one of the brothers and the women that capture their hearts but bring their own baggage. Mix all of this together and you have vintage India Kells…Twists, turns, unique storylines and emotionally filled pages.
The best part of all of this is there is more to come, more players to join the mix and I can not wait for every one of them. I have no idea how she plans to work the rest of this series but you can bet I’ll be one of the first in line to find out.
