This is such a fun, sweet romantic read that I was hooked on from the get-go. The storyline was easy to read and flowed effortlessly, and was made even better by the brilliant characters. These characters are real and I loved watching them grow throughout the read and see their chemistry get stronger until it was undeniable and off the scale. I love a great feel-good romance read that gives you all the feels of a great romance book! I can’t wait to read another book by this author, but until then I highly recommend this read.

To put things in perspective, when I was at my lowest point, I couldn’t open mail, talk on the phone, or even drive to the store. Walls of sadness surrounded me. As they closed in, tears would fall. There didn’t need to be a reason or trigger.
People ask me why I started writing. My answer is simple: I wanted to create a world into which other people with similar problems could escape. I wanted to share the one place that had helped me for many years.
I have always said that as long as one person finds a little bit of happiness out of my books, I am, in my opinion, an accomplished author. The same is true for every writer out there. Please don’t ever let anyone tell you different.
I read books as well as write them and have visited the worlds many different authors have created. Those worlds not only make me feel better, but give me the strength to face real life again. I want to thank everyone who writes – I want them to know they are making a difference.

This story was really sweet. Kara and Julian have a beautiful story that makes you feel warm inside. I really liked the innocence the story presented. It’s like an old school love. Where it’s not forced or too fast. Everything just flows together into a beautiful harmony. Julian’s character was interesting. He didn’t give you jerk vibes or too good to be true vibes either. I found him to be a nice mixture or both. Kara was a little too straight lace for me. Like be wild and free for a change. Life is about living and learning. Trying something different. Messing up and learning to fix it so you never do it again. I really like this author and I will definitely be taking a look at more books by her. It just made me feel good inside while I read it.
Curse of the Sands is the second book in the Relic Hunters series. The book is action packed and Adam Hunter, a teenager who’s working for the British Museum, is heading into a ski town. Curse Of the Sands is the second book in the Relic Hunters series by Martin Ferguson. Let me start by saying that this book would make a great movie/TV series. This is an intriguing YA adventure- with action, mystery, danger, historical details, Relic Hunters, wonderful quirky characters, good vs evil, myths, legends, and more. As I mentioned after reading the first book, the story/series has everything you need to make it an enthralling read, and would make a great movie, or exciting adventure game for PC, Xbox, PlayStation etc. This story has us setting off on an adventure with the relic hunters as an ancient pyramid is uncovered in Egypt. As expected, danger is ever present problem wherever the team happen to be. What unfolds makes for an exciting read. Looking forward to more adventures with the Relic Hunters.

Kickflip Summer by Danielle Jacks a five-star read that will bring sunshine to your life. I didn’t realise this was a debut novel until I sat down to write this review and I am so impressed, normally a debut shows the lack of writing experience usually with how they build the characters, but honestly this didn’t lack at all. Bear and Kara are just adorable and when you add some great secondary characters who bring something special to the story it sparkles with life. This was a great story and I know many will love it, I had my last summer many years ago, but this brought me back to that amazing time, new love and having your heart flutter and break in ways you cant imagine. If anyone needs a break from the harsh realities of life, needs a little brightness and joy in their lives then pick this story up as all of the characters will bring a ray of sunshine to you.

I loved reading the book Curse of the Sands (Relic Hunters Book 2) by Martin Ferguson. It is a story that includes action, adventure, danger, and mystery. It is a book that had me turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. It pulled me in from the beginning and I was hooked. I love the character of Adam Hunter. While he doesn’t always follow orders, he acts when others are in danger to save lives. This story has him and the team from the British Museum off to Egypt where a pyramid has appeared. Once there they find themselves not only fearing danger from deadly traps but the evil that comes not only from long ago but also from rival teams. What does the future hold for Adam and his team? What will they find in the pyramid? When cities start to crumble will they be able to save them? Read this book to find out. This is a story that is exciting and fast-paced. It takes you on a journey that had me on the edge of my seat. I enjoyed reading about Adam and the others that help him. I also enjoyed the bantering back and forth with the characters. I have always loved stories about Egypt and the pyramids so this is a book that I had a lot of fun reading. The author does an amazing job of making the story and the characters come alive. I felt like I was right there with them. Don’t miss out on an amazing story that you will not want to put down until the final page. I highly recommend reading it.

This is my second book by this author which I enjoyed just as much as the first. This is a young adult fantasy story that will take you on an adventure of hidden treasures and secrets. The characters are connectable and made the story easy to read. They kept the story engaging and interesting. They pulled me in from the beginning. A sand storm unveils a lost pyramid but what Adam and his team don’t expect is the evil that wants revenge for disturbing the dead. Who will win this race against time? Kickflip Summer by Danielle Jacks is a fun romantic story that is quick an easy to read. It is full of sweet romance and the main characters are amazing to read about. This is the kind of book that is perfect to escape to for a few hours as you instantly connect to Kara and Bear and the relationship between them. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I definitely enjoyed it. It was a fun and entertaining read and the author did a great job of creating a storyline that flowed easily. I was engaged with the book from the moment I started reading it and found it to be the kind of book I could easily read in one sitting. It was a great book and I am looking forward to discovering more by this author.
This was a lovely teenage romance that just goes to show that a summer fling doesn’t have to just be a fling. The characters are well written and engaging and the story is relatable to young people
Kara and Bear are two young people who are both moving forward in their lives. Kara to university and Bear to work with his dad in the family business.
During the summer Bear wants to enjoy his time teaching kids to skateboard and even though Kara would love an adventure with her best friend Toby family commitments means its not possible.
However when they meet their summers seem to be looking up. Is this just a summer fling? Or will their romance last longer than either of them expect it too.
This was such a great read. I really liked getting to read about Kara and Bear. They meet by chance and then end up working together. While Kara just wants some fun for the summer, Bear is a focused on the future and how to get there and when. This is a fun summer read you can just get lost in. I enjoyed all the secondary characters as well, they added to this story which makes it even better. Will be reading more from this author.
5 stars!!! If you love a chick lit this is the book for you, its light hearted and had me laughing on occasions. I like how it has both POV from Kara and Bear. Kickflick summer had me hooked from the start as I couldn’t wait to see where their relationship was going to go when they crossed paths, Kara has just become a young woman waiting to start university and she needs to find her way in the world away from her family whilst Bear worries about the shoulders he has to fill and whether he is up to the challenge, this made it great as they each have their own journey of discovery throughout whilst their worlds collide. I wish I could read this book for the first time all over again. Great writing and can’t wait to read her next book. Danielle Jack has wrote a great book about first love and new adventures.

Kickflip Summer is a sweet romance novel from Danielle Jacks. I had never read any of this author’s work before so I was unsure what to expect. What I got was an enjoyable read with characters that I really liked and could relate to. Kara has just finished school and is looking for a summer of fun with best friend Toby before heading off to college. What she doesn’t expect is to meet up again with Bear (Julian) who had been her niece’s skateboarding coach. I really enjoyed reading Kara and Bear’s story. It’s obvious straight away that they both like each other but both have stuff going on in their personal lives and a relationship isn’t what either had in mind. Kara and Bear are both great characters and a loved them both. I have to admit to not being a fan of Toby. I know he is Kara’s best friend but I didn’t like the way that he treated her at times, especially where Bear was concerned, although I expect that this is what the author had in mind. Running through the story is a storyline about family and how important your family is. I also really enjoyed this added storyline and have to add that I loved Kara’s family. They were so supportive of her. Overall I really enjoyed this sweet romance story.

This sweet summer YA read is an easy one to pick up and enjoy on a lazy afternoon. You will find the characters very easy to connect to and the storyline easy to follow. Even if not in the YA age bracket, readers of all ages will find this book enjoyable, fun, with just the right amount of romance. Makes me wish for another afternoon of sunshine and book reading.
The Guard: A Soppranaturale Series: Book 2 by Ashley Pagano. I recommend reading these books in order. This may be on the shorter side but it still packs a punch with a great storyline and great characters. Characters that draw you so completely in that I was happy to be lost in its pages for a while. Each character brings something unique to the storyline and they are so easy to connect with. The storyline is unique in it’s own right and I loved every minute of it. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. Can’t wait to see where this author takes readers next. Four big stars and highly recommended.

The Perfect Outcast Melissa Hansen 5 out of 5 stars
There was a time not too long ago when I would completely overlook a YA book because I was “too old” to being reading it. The fact that The Perfect Outcast is not really categorized within a genre I would gravitate toward and never having read this author before, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Admittedly, my expectations weren’t set very high. I honestly loved just about everything in this book. The world building and the depth of character, attention to detail within the writing were all points that kept me interested from start to finish. What I loved best about the book though, was that it really was more than a book about some “fantasy land”. The storyline serves as a reminder that things aren’t always as they appear and there is beauty in the most unexpected places. Melissa Hansen really delivered a 5 star, thought provoking read and I look forward to more from this author.
Wow. I believe I am still a bit speechless after reading this one. This was not a typical YA read for me. In fact it had some fairly serious thematic elements throughout that were substantial and complex. The character development was spot on and the world building was very complete and well done. I could tell I would enjoy this book from the synopsis. However I didn’t anticipate being riveted as I was from the start. A very well written book for YA and up. Highly recommended.
This book is a coming of age story which explores the inner thoughts of Alina who I happened to love even through her transformation. She has to deal with peers who make her feel less than. This book takes you inside a world where it’s unpredictable for the reader craving every word from the author. This is a beautiful story that leads you down turns you never expected.

This second book may have just surpassed the first – which I didn’t anticipate being possible. Pagano has done a beautiful job continuing this series and making it fresh and exciting. I love Ommily and Link and reading more of their journey with the Soppranaturale. I truthfully don’t want to give anything away because it is just so beautifully written and worth the reading experience. Beautifully done. A must read for all fantasy lovers!

Normally these types of novels don’t peak my interest as I’m more of a romance/erotica kind of girl but this one swayed me I love how magical this storyline is! It is full to the brim of supernatural, magic, danger and sooo much nore! It really did take me on whirlwind adventue which I was eager to sink my teeth into and I’m certainly excited to read more from this author! Also it does have a touch of romance in it too which was a lovely touch it was different to read something with the magical storyline I do highly recommend giving this novel a read!!!

This was a great young adult book. It keeps the reader guessing. It is full of adventure.
Alina is very relatable for young women who may struggle to fit in with their peers. Her fight to fit into a perfect world when she is anything but perfect can feel like a struggle most teenagers go through.
The world Alina lives in is perfect, even the people are perfect, created by one man using science instead of nature meaning that everyone of them is flawless and immortal apart from Alina.
Alina was a mistake, she is not flawless and perfect like the rest of the people around her and she questions why that is the case. Alina sets out to discover why this happened to her but what she finds will shock her. The perfect world shows itself as less than perfect and their creator isn’t some powerful god but a man set on ruling over the people he creates. Will Alina differences mean that she cant survive? Or will her findings make her stronger and more confident in the person she is?
This is the second book in the Soppranaturale series. I highly recommend reading book one to understand the characters and what they have been through already. This story is full of action, adventure, magic, supernatural, and danger. In the first book, we were introduced to Ommilu and Link. They are the last two Fae and their journey has not been an easy one. In this story, they are Guards at the hotel. They are pushed to limits they themselves cannot expect. This is a fast paced story, The pages just fly by and the book can be read in one sitting. You will want to read the whole book to see what happens to Ommilu and Link.

I wasn’t sure what to expect with this book because I have never read Danielle Jacks prior but once I saw the cute and fun cover I just knew I needed to give it a go and see what story was there. This is one that will make you remember everything you love about summer, that magic that is in the air when you are a young adult is something that seems to go by the wayside to adult things as we get older but this captured the fun and adventurous time that can be. Kara and Bear were a blast to read and the way the story unfolded led the reader on until the last page where you just hope and pray for the happily ever after to come for these two. You will have to read this for yourself to find out if they get that but the adventure it takes you on is well worth the few hours you will spend with Kara and Bear. I can’t wait to see what else is available from Danielle Jacks!
The Guard (A Soppranaturale Series Book 2) by Ashley Pagano 4 Stars
This is the second book in the series and I would recommend that you read the first part to fully understand this one. Fairies are so rare and now there are two in the hotel. After winning the gauntlet, Link and Ommily joined the guard. Not everyone is happy about that but they need to put aside their differences if they are to overcome the battle that awaits them. Sacrifices need to be made and some may need to make the ultimate one.
This is a romance filled with action and fantastical creatures. Magic abounds within these pages. The author pulls you in and keeps you wondering what will happen next. This book was a great addition to the series. The ending leaves the author room to take the story in a multitude of directions. I’m excited to see what will happen next.

The Guard by Ashley Pagano is the second book in A Soppranaturale Series. First, read the book prior to this one before delving into this book. This book picks up shortly after where the first ended. Ommily and Link are back and have a lot to get through. There is no rest for them in protecting the Soppranaturale Hotel as the two remaining fae. This book takes the reader to a new and interesting world, which keeps the reader on the edge of their seat. I stayed up late into the night to finish this because I had to know what was going to happen. I just couldn’t wait. I enjoy that this is not a straight up fantasy but has a bit of romance, action, and plenty of twists and turns. It was a great way to spend a rainy day. I look forward to reading more from Ashley Pagano in the future.

I thought this book was a great addition to the series and I enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend reading this series in order to get the best reading experience as possible because it picks up where book 1 left off. Ommily and Link are our main charcters and we get to see them navigate through life as part of the Guard and they fight rogue supernaturals. Alot happens in this story and it kept me on my toes. I cant wait to read more by this author in the future and I would recommend this awesome read to a friend.
