Wendigo Forest is another fast paced mysterious and suspenseful book by C. A. King. This short read follows Clara Fawn, who is strong but also scarred. She is trying to figure out why her parents up root her so much and what they do. This book had me reading as fast as I could to find out how it all would end. I highly recommend this story by C.A. King.
Shattered Snow by Rachel Huffmire has become one of my favorite Fairy Tale retellings! The character development made this story unique and exceptional. I love that we get the villains backstory and the mirror is not just a face stuck on the wall. The author did a great job giving these characters more depth. The ending was absolutely perfect! I highly recommend this story!
Interesting new YA read by C.A. King. The name caught my attention first with it’s double meaning…. it gave a great insight into the direction the Author took this story. With some humor and tepicle teenage problems mixed together with a new take on supernatural fantasy, Super Sorry has it all. Great world building and the MC is funny and spunky just how I like them. But the stand out in this story was definitely her sidekick……
Super Sorry by C.A King is a wonderfully written story that once I started reading I couldn’t put it down till I finished. I absolutely loved this book and reading about Sarah and her special abilities. Her world is about to be turned upside especially when she learns of her special abilities. Follow along as she learns to control her abilities and tries not to make a bunch of mistakes. I highly recommend reading this book and I look forward to reading more from this Author.

Book Review: Wendigo Forest Author: C.A. King Four Stars Wendigo Forest is a YA Paranormal story by C.A. King and is everything you would want in a short story. It is full of fantasy and myths that are well written and fast paced. You will be brought along on the adventures that Clara experiences and discovers. Thank you Ms. King for well developed characters who become realistic the deeper you get in the book. My only complaint is that it would have been amazing if it had been longer so that we could have gotten even more in depth and close to the Fawns. KLH
This is a young-adult series that I have enjoyed from the beginning. This is a well developed story that brings excavation of relics to life. The characters are so well developed that they made the story feel realistic and also fun to read about the adventure. The characters in this book are relic hunters that go in search of stolen relics. The problem becomes when their past comes to the present and is causing problems. In this story Adam and his friends use their experiences and skills as survival. They now find themselves in a war which they have to fight the past, will they survive? The characters made the story easy to read. This is a really great story which I highly recommend.

I have to say that C.A. King has a wild imagination. I have never read a story quite like this. I loved it! It was quirky and original. Sarah Sorry is a teenager who believes appearances mean everything. She has abilities that emerge in the most unusual ways. Her life does a complete 360 but is it for the better? She is a super hero in the making but there will be mistakes along the way. It’s time she realizes what is really important. This is a definite must read.

I really like this author; her stories are always a pleasure to read. I find it so easy to get wrapped up in what I’m reading because of her fantastic descriptive language and world building. Super Sorry was a wonderful read full of everything I’ve come to expect from this author. I really liked the main character Sarah; I did feel sorry for her at ties with everything she was trying to navigate in her teenage life. She made me laugh a few times and she was definitely a connectable and likeable character. I can see this story definitely appealing to YA and I think they would enjoy it. Overall Super Sorry is a well written story that I really enjoyed. As always I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.
Super Sorry is another fantastic YA story by C.A King. It is full of teenage angst and struggle; a coming of age story with a difference- interwoven with some really wonderful supernatural and paranormal elements. This fantasy adventure is well worth the read- if for no other reason but to meet her trusty sidekick!

Breaking Tessa: A College Sports Romance by T. Christensenis the first book in a new duet, and as the title would suggest, a college sports romance. This is a YA/new adult romance- with a snapshot of college life, basketball, drama, angst, emotion, opposites attract, and a bit of a cliffhanger ending. It took me a little bit to warm up to Jordan and Tessa- I really can’t pinpoint exactly why, but I was interested in the outcome of the story all the same. I am hoping that they will win me over in book two. The characters were well developed, fully realised individuals with their own unique personalities, quirks and flaws which helped to make the story come to ‘life’. Waiting on book #2 to see how things will play out.

I really enjoyed this book, it pulled me in from the start and it kept me reading throughout I didn’t find myself getting bored or anything. I really liked the characters and thought they were well developed rather than be supporting 1 sided characters they were really well rounded. I loved the little short novella and I’d be interested to read more of C.A. King’s writing. But yes really thoroughly enjoyed the story!
Eagle of the Empire is an action-packed tale of family, friendship, and fantastic historical secrets. Everyone adores a hopeful team of heroes, as well as a worthy cause, and this book provides both in spades.
Two of my favorite aspects of this book are the importance put on family and the life brought to the tale of a famed hidden legion of Roman fighters. While both the sibling bond and the exploration of a lost piece of history are both used in many stories, Eagle of the Empire gives the concepts a fresh coat of paint. This story is the retelling of a great classic story, Being a YA book would stop most from reading it. On the other hand, I grabbed this book and devoured it in one sitting. This book has a familiar plot line. It is filled with fantasy and SciFi all rolled up into it. The amazement of the scenery in the book paints a beautiful picture with some added descriptions on the side. The characters are fully developed. We find the story is about Margaretha and Keltson. Keltson has a looking glass that he uses to be a hero to some. Margaretha has bitten into a poisonous apple, Kelson comes to change everything around. Is the story starting to sound familiar? I highly recommend this story to see the fairy tale told in Rachel Huffmire’s story.

Shattered Snow (The Mirror Chronicles Book 1) by Rachel Huffmire. This was a great story. It’s a retelling of Snow White that we all know and love. In this version the character of Keltson aka “the mirror” uses his abilities to see people and their lives and decides to take it upon himself to help them. Joined by his friend Lilia, a Russian scrap mechanic, they try to reconstruct history. Its a very dangerous game! Margaretha is a young countess laid out to be poisoned at the young age of 21. Keltson and Lilia decides to take fate in their own hands and thinking they are helping the girl they have truly turned her world upside down and no one knows how things will turn out. This retelling is amazing and keeps you on your feet with the time travel and different characters. I didn’t have a hard time keeping up though it moved very smoothly. This is not my favorite genre but I have come to really enjoy it due to some authors talented spins and this is a prime example. Do yourself a favor and read Shattered Snow to find out for yourself!

Super Sorry by C.A. King is one of the best examples of a YA fantasy story that I have read in a long time. This book had everything you could want – excitement, hilarity, an amazing character – while also show casing exactly what it is to be someone of this age. You really need to make sure you have plenty of time when you start reading this book as I can guarantee that once you start it you will not want to put it down! For me Sarah is such an incredible character. She was so easy to connect with and relate to. But I also found her to be so entertaining as well. She drew me fully in to this story and even now I find myself thinking about! This book is just another example of why this author has quickly become one of my favourites. I would highly recommend you reading this book today!
This was my first book by C.A. King. I haven’t really been into supernatural books lately, but I’m so glad I took a chance on this one. Our main female is Clara Fawn. She’s your typical teenager, hates moving around as often as her parents need her to for their work. Hates going to new schools CONSTANTLY. Hates when her parents keep things from her and won’t let her do normal teenage things. This story had my attention right away and I cannot wait until the next one comes out.

Wendigo Forrest is a fantastic YA paranormal story by C.A. King. The story is everything I have come to expect from Ms. King- a well written, intriguing, and engaging tale- with wonderful world building, a little mysteriousness, some dramatic developments, and a bit of spookiness that kept things interesting. This is a very short story, which made for a very quick and easy read- I would like to have read a slightly longer version of this book and be able to immerse myself in the story with more detail, but still an enjoyable book. The characters are well developed individuals who are entirely realistic and believable. I enjoyed meeting Clara, a teenage Fawn, and following along as the story unfolded. Shattered Snow by Rachel Huffmire is an interesting read and would be perfect for teenagers. It’s hard to write a book that is suitable for both teenage boys and girls, but I would say this book is suitable for all.
Shattered Snow is a retelling is a fairytale classic. The story hasn’t just been reimagined, it’s been turned on its head and retold in a way that is both exciting and unpredictable. Set in the future, we get a glimpse of how life could look in 2069. I’m not sure the world will be prepared for time travelling, especially as we already know…changing the past can have devastating repercussions on the future. Kelston, aka ‘The Mirror’, runs an underground operation. His goal is to use time travel to help rescue people throughout history. He is joined on his mission by Lilia, a mechanic from Russia, and together they set out to change the course of history. I loved this story. It was action packed from the start and had me hooked. I would have loved to have got to know the characters a little better, but this story is definitely with reading no matter what age you are.

Shattered Snow by Rachel Huffmire a captivating five-star read. When I read the description of how the author came up with this story, it intrigued me and made me wonder, then I read the story and it made me wonder so much more. The descriptions are so good, you can depict everything, nothing is left out. It cold have been so crazy and not clear when you encompass a fairy-tale and time travel but the author has done a great job of pulling all of the characters together and the settings together and having them bob and weave together creating a story that just captures your imagination. It can get a little confusing if you are easily distracted, but if you keep going with it, it is such a great story.

I have to say, this is my fav so far from CA King. I was immediately drawn into Super Sorry. From the gorgeous and eye catching cover to the fantasy world within that comes alive off the pages as you read. This is one of those you will wanna set aside a few hours so you can read this in one fell swoop. If you like it half as much as I did that will be too easy to do. I loved the way this book layered fantasy with real life in a way that makes the lessons easy to catch but still interesting and fun to read. Sarah is one awesome main character and she was fun to watch grow throughout the story. We find her as she discovers that she has abilities that she has no idea how to use. The journey she takes will have you laughing and cheering for her as she finds her way in this new and magical world. I can’t wait to see what we will get next from CA King!
Super Sorry by C. A. King is a great change of pace from the books I have been reading. C. A. is one of my go to writers and this story was wonderful. This is a YA read with all of the teenage challenges, not to mention adding in super powers. The characters are relatable and the story flows from beginning to end. Sarah Sorry is a typical teen, wanting to hang out with friends, but then things start changing. This is my new favorite book of C.A. King. I like the fact that most of her books are short enough to read in a day or two, and they are always pack with great writing and thought provoking issues. Review by @sunbarn
Wendigo Forest by C.A. King is a YA paranormal story that is an intriguing read. The story is fast paced and a quick read and enjoyable. CA delivers us a great mystery that has well developed characters and brings us into the fold of this mysterious world of what is out there in the dark and monsters are real. Clara and her parents never seem to settle in one place for too long. After slowly putting pieces together of overheard conversations she soon discovers there is more to the world she lives in, things that definitely go bump in the night.

I’ve read and watched movies of the remade tale and loved all of them. This one was no exception. You think you know where you are in the story and its going along very nicely and then it goes horribly wrong. At one-point I was nearly biting my nails because everything that could go wrong, did. This was a great story and I’m so glad I spent time with it. You will too.

This is a lonely short fantasy novella.Clara’s use to moving going to diffrent places for her parents work. Nice deceptively writing of scenes. I have a love hate relationship with this book as i felt it would he better with more of a drawn out story so there is more backstory. Aa ir felt through at you I hope there is another book.
This is my first book by Rachel Huffmire. Keltson is running the time travelling. Lilia is doing it but what are the repercussions of time travelling what’s happens when you change an event in time. Philip he’s a key to this but why. Time traveling is always complicated but why oh why is Lilia always the some suffering for the sake of other.

I loved reading the book Wendigo Forest by C.A. King. It is a story that pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. I enjoyed reading about the character of Clara Fawn. She and her family were always on the move and Clara is the one that felt the impact of it. I felt empathy for Clara as she felt like an outsider whenever she started over. The book has a suspenseful feeling all the way through. There is mystery in the air, and I was turning pages to find out what was going to happen next. What will Clara and her family find in their new hometown? Read this book to find out. The author does an amazing job of making both the story and the characters come to life. Don’t miss out on an exciting and entertaining book. I would highly recommend reading it.

Time travel!?! Yes please! This book is a great adventure! So fun. At first this story was a little hard to follow with the new characters and the time travel. But it soon became apparent who was who and how they all related to each other.
Huffmire creates a world with colorful characters. My favorites being Bianka, Ammond and Baigh! Fun names with different attitudes, personalities and beliefs. I really loved the slight twist on a certain fairy tale, super cute.
This story is definitely worth a chance. I look forward to reading the next in the series especially since there was such a great and questioning ending!

This is a shorter story that is full of fantasy and myths. This is one of my favorites by this author. I was pulled in right from the beginning. The characters are really well developed and bring the story to life. I had no problems connecting with them. This is a story that brings a town full of myths and characters with a past. The Fawns move from town to town but in this new town, there are myths told. Entering the forest without hearing these myths could prove dangerous. I really enjoyed this story and the fantasy adventure it took me on. I highly recommend this book and this author.

This is my first book by this author and I look forward to reading more from her. I enjoyed this book as it is full of fantasy and time travel. This is a well written story that has details that make the story come to life. I had no issues connecting with the characters as they kept me turning pages to the end. Will Keltson lose all the work he has done to change people’s fate? What will happen with history and fate? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens to Margaretha, Keltson and his assistant. They made great, believable characters that took me through various emotions about them. They made the story engaging and easy to read. This was a great afternoon story that I am glad I picked up.
