Fighting the Lies (Glacial Blood, #2) by Anna Edwards – Review by Bobbi Wagner

Fighting the Lies (Glacial Blood, #2)Fighting the Lies by Anna Edwards
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Fighting the Lies (Glacial Blood Book 2) by Anna Edwards is the second book in her Glacial Blood series. I highly recommend you reading the first book before this one as it picks up where the first left off. I think that it is fair to say that this is becoming one of my favorite series and my favorite for this author. I loved this book as much as the first one! I couldn’t put it down, I read it in one sitting. I love her writing style as she keeps me engaged and pulls me into the story from the first word until the very last. Her attention to details are such as you will feel as if you are right there with the characters. This story is romance, mystery and suspense. I loved the twists and turns and how they left me sitting on the edge of my seat waiting to see what will happen next. This story focuses on Emma and Scott. Find out what happens when Emma is held captive and her life is threatened. Emma has been accused of killing her father and has been put on trial. Will she be saved or will her life come to an end? I loved both of these characters. They are connectable and true to life. They will just pull you into their world of shifters and take you on a journey of suspense. Both of these characters are put into a position that they have no idea what to do with. They have great chemistry and attraction. They both just want to save the other but what they do may make them lose everything. There are a few twists that you don’t want to miss and I won’t mention them here to give it away for you but you don’t want to miss them. I loved that we got to see characters from the first book too and can’t wait to see which characters get their own story next. Honestly, all of the characters in this story are strong. They each have their own personality and their own magic. They are all supportive to each other and willing to do what needs to be done. Some are feisty and others are just plain nasty. But this story wouldn’t be the same without them. This series shows you that family doesn’t always mean blood related. I highly recommend you read this book and the series. I know you will want to see if Emma’s life is spared and if Emma and Scott ever find their HEA. They will leave you with a book hangover for sure and leave you with the feeling of wanting more.
