The Last Keeper of the Light: a dystopian fantasy by Nikki Broadwell is a story where the world is no longer what it was and survival is for the fittest and cunning. It is a story of hunger and loss, violence and horrors, fear and longing. It is a story of a world that no longer has humanity, where everything is cold, dark and bleak. This story being set in a post apocalyptic world sees a lot of heartbreak and evil and glimpses that are also heartwarming. It makes you realise that we are lucky to live in a world such as we have and shows what it could be like if things took a turn for the worst. An interesting read.
