I loved this story! This is my first book by this author, I can’t wait to read more from her. Evie has not had the best life growing up but she does the best she can. She has a special gift that has allowed her to make some money helping men heal. Dylan is one of her clients, is it possible that she can help heal him or will she break him? This story goes back and forth between present and the past, this author has done a great job with this. I highly recommend reading about Evie and her life.

PLAYER (21st Century Courtesan Book 1) by Pamela DuMond was a charmly dark, yet weirdly sweet read, that had me hooked from start to finish.
My first read by this author, and a bit of a first for this type of storyline. So you can say this read was out of my comfort zone. I’m happy I gave this book a chance, because it wasn’t what I was expecting and as I said, I was hooked pretty much instantly.
This book has a little bit of everything, from the growing love, to the mysterious stalker. It added that darkness to a otherwise sweet, not your normal, bubbling romance. I say not so normal because of how Evie and Dylan meet. Evie, isn’t your normal escort, not just because she’s strong, and independent, she’s a empath. That “gift” lets her feel her clients emotions, and with that she is able to “heal” them. Right away things with Dylan are different, a different she’ doesn’t know how to handle, and that difference could lead to something dangerous.
I love their back and forth; there’s a added past to present POV switch, that really adds that extra push to this already amazing story. Not to mention the added danger that is Evie’s stalker. That alone adds a another layer of darkness, almost burying the light at times. Even when there was happy times, that edge of dark was always present, making you feel unease, and not letting your mind drift too far away. Having such a multi layer and complex tone shifts, makes this book more than a romance, it makes it believable and a hidden diamond. The only other way for you to know what I mean, is to read this book.
In saying that, that is where I leave you, so please take my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval, that you will fall into this tale of love, danger, and learning that it’s okay to sometimes heal yourself.

Well this is it. Bryce and Alexis (Macey’s sister) have a hot and cold relationship they both want each other but neither will go after it. When a chance encounter at the hospital bring them together things get hotter and the drama begins. With the perfect amount of drama and a unique storyline that varies with the characters personalities. As Alexis ex Eric starts causing problems and trying to do the impossible Alexis decides she is the one who needs to stop him in order to protect everyone she loves. No matter the cost. You see sides of both characters that makes you love them more while still waiting for the climax.

I absolutely loved this novel and could not put it down. I found Evie relatable, strong, somewhat humorous, and addictive. She had amazing abilities that she was able to use in a unique way for her position. Great easy read. I was hooked after the first few pages of this novel. The storyline was also easy to follow and smoothly transitioned as I read. I highly recommend it!

Say When (A Cedarville Novel Book 9) By Bree Kraemer 5 Stars
Jumping into a book mid-series is always tricky. Although most books can be read as stand-alone you always get a sense that you’re missing something by not reading the other books in the series. This is not the case with Say When by Bree Kraemer. Ms. Kraemer does such a fabulous job painting the town of Cedarville and re/introducing her characters that you feel like you missed nothing. And the wonderful story of Dani & Patrick was just the icing on the cake!
Dani has always been shy and introverted. Her only outlet has been her baking. But Dani has dreams to one day open her own bakery. The only thing holding her back is her fear. Her best friend’s older brother Patrick thinks he can help Dani finally attain her dream.
Patrick loves getting the baked treats at Dockside. They are the best part of his day. He finally gets to meet the person behind the deliciousness and realizes that she happens to be his little sister’s best friend. Patrick soon realizes that Dani is just as sweet as her creations but something is holding her back. Can he entice Dani out of her shell and help her realize that life can be just as sweet?
This book was so charmingly sweet. The town, the people, the atmosphere were great. Ms. Kraemer painted such a vivid picture of her world, that I would have asked my husband if we could go visit! The story was well paced and flowed very nicely. I truly enjoyed this book so much that I am now going back and reading from the beginning! I can’t wait to get to Dani & Patrick’s story again but I am looking forward to meeting everyone else along the way!!

This is my 3rd book by this author and I absolutely loved it…Seems I fall in love with all of her books, which is why she is definitely on my must read list.
This story had me laughing right from the start and also thinking about where this world is today and how true the circumstance that Lexi finds herself in is.
Lexi attends an art class that was supposed to be all relaxing with her best friend, problem was there was no relaxing during this art class and what happens sets the stage for the rest of the story.
If I had one small problem with this story it would be that I wish it had moved past the wedding sooner than it did, but in saying that I still completely enjoyed every single moment in this book. I laughed, and I definitely got angry a couple times but the end and how the end came to be was awesome…

That cracked me up and I can not wait to pick up my next read by this author, if you haven’t read any of Miss Daniels books yet, this would be a fantastic place to start.

Well, I most certainly did not see the side-splitting laughs that were to come from this novel. I have read the previous Combat Hearts novels, and really they were good novels, but this one takes the top favorite for me. I was excited, because this was a perfect conclusion to the series for me. My only complaint… It ended, lol. You do not have to have read the other books in the series to enjoy this one, they can be standalones. However, it would increase your reading pleasure.
Zoe was so relatable for me. She has that quirky awkwardness about her. She talks a lot when she doesn’t know what to say, much like myself. I think the only thing we don’t have in common is the fact that she was in the military. I love her love for books, and that she goes for her dream of opening a bookstore after she retires from her military career. I guess the other difference is that she is a youngest child and I am the oldest, but those seem to have similar characteristics as well.
Then there is Tim, the handsome strong cop. He is drawn to Zoe and wants to protect her. Well Zoe being the strong, independent and ex-militant woman she is, doesn’t need this help and protector. Cue hilarious jokes and side comments. Especially when feelings are introduced to the mix! There is a perfect balance of comedy, romance, and just enough of a twist to keep you on the edge of your seat that you will be reading this well past your bedtime to find out how things will end for these two. Like I said, I am sad to see Combat Hearts come to a close, but I look forward to seeing what else is to come from Tarina Deaton in the near future! Thanks for the great series!
This is the second story in the Solum series. I absolutely loved seeing these characters again. We get deeper in the relationships between different characters. We get to know more of Elizabeth and her past. We get to learn more about Elizabeth’s and Marin’s relationship and the ups and downs that they experience. I feel that this story was a great story to follow up the first and to build up to the third! Colleen Myers does a great job of constructing this whole new world for us, and then getting us stuck inside of it!
Savannah’s Saviors is a romantic and somewhat steamy cowboy romance, featuring two guys and one lucky lady. Well, I say that, but up until now she’s been super unlucky. And now she has walls up, is defensive, and keeps her cards close to her vest. Not that the guys don’t have secrets, too. This is pretty fast paced, with lots of action, intrigue, suspense, and of course- love. I like how everyone in this small community pull together, aside from a couple rotten seeds. It makes me interested enough to check out more stories. But I did read it as a stand alone with no problems.

It is a story that grabbed my attention from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put it down until I had read the final page. I loved reading about the characters of Dylan McAlister and Evie. Evie is a woman who is a teacher by day and escort by night. The second job is because of her caring for a family member. She is a kind, resourceful, strong, and independent woman. Meeting Dylan brings out a desire and passion within her that she never showed with other clients. You could call Dylan a broken man when Evie meets him. As she gets to know him better, she finds that they have a connection. She is empathic. Can Evie help him heal what is broken? What do the cards hold for Evie and Dylan? Read this book to find out. There is some mystery and suspense in this story. I wondered what was going to happen next. Evie has a stalker and you wonder why they have targeted her and if their identity will be revealed. I loved reading about the bantering back and forth between Dylan and Evie. They have a chemistry together and there are some steamy scenes that are included in this story. There are other additional characters that you are introduced to that are kind and friendly. I enjoyed reading about them. Then there are those that have their own personal agenda. This story had my emotions going up and down the entire time. I grew to love Dylan and Evie with each chapter that I read. This is an amazing story that I would recommend reading. This is the first book in a series and I look forward to reading the next story.

Elegantly Denim: An Elegant Prelude (Elegant Series – Prequel) by Tee Smith is a contemporary romance story with a little mystery and suspense. I enjoy reading prequels as they flesh out and give you more insight to the characters and what makes them tick. Denim, our main character, is a complex and a rich and successful business man who is larger than life and through his nature and compassion those around him become loyal to him. Tee has a story that is a good start to the Elegant Series and I can’t wait to become more acquainted with the man of the hour.

DANGEROUS GROUND: Tina and Chase’s Story (Under Ground Book 5) by Alice Rachel is a heartbreaking and sad read. There is so much pain and tragedy, hopelessness and despair in this story that will have your emotions running wild and lots and lots of heart sobbing tears. Even though it is a heavy hearted story, there are small moments where there is love and hope. Some characters you will love, others not so much, I would even go as far as saying I hated them and what they stood for. It is a well written story and all I can say is, what an emotional journey it was to go through and get caught up in, everything our main characters, Chase and Tina go through.

What a way to start a series! I’m generally a sucker for any books involving hot athletes but Alexa Summers did an awesome job with Touchdown, which is the first book in The Big Apple Series. Lexi is one of the top sports reporters in New York. Brett is an NFL quarterback that is about to hit it big and be able to show what he’s got when the leading quarterback gets injured. A little scandal takes place in the locker room after one of the games and Lexi isn’t apologizing for it! Brett initially wants to get back at her but ends up creating a “deal” with her. Things definitely get hot and heavy when they both realize they want each other more than their deal. The author wrote this book well. I felt like I was a part of the story line. There is tons of wit so you will be laughing quite often. There is also tons of intrigue and twists and turns. Of course there is always the psycho chick that needs to be taken down! The sexy scenes were scorching hot! I thoroughly enjoyed those, I’m not going to lie! It was also very nice to see that there are jocks who are actually intelligent and cultured. This book was such a page turner that I couldn’t put it down! I cannot wait to read the next book in the series! I hope it was just as good as this one!

This is the second book I have read by Deaton. Even though it is the 4th book in the series it can be read as a standalone. Zoe and Tim’s friends are from the first three books and are mentioned in this story, but you do not have to read those stories to understand this one. Should you read them? Yes! Tarina Deaton is quickly becoming a favorite new to me author.
Imperfect Heart is super cute, super fun and super sexy. Tim is a small-town police officer while Zoe is ex-military. Zoe’s family sucks. Plain and simple they do not have her best interest at heart. Her best friend Elba is exactly what a best friend should be, caring, fun, and smart. Even the old lady across the street, Mrs. Wilson, seems to care more about Zoe than her own family. While reading this story I laughed out loud, got a little teary eyed and found myself nodding my head in agreement many times.
“It was…nice. She didn’t have an issue with being taken care of. At least, not in the sense that she was helpless or wanted someone to provide for her, but having a guy who worried and wanted to make sure she was safe…? Yeah…that was hot.”
I highly recommend this story and can’t wait to read the others in this series.
One of my favourite things is a sports romance. That is what drew me to this book. I have read a lot of sports books, but none of them were like this book. I found that this book had me hooked after the first few chapters.
The chemistry that Lexi and Brett had was amazing. I thought the storyline was good, I liked that Lexi embarrassed Brett and that he was then trying to get revenge.
Overall, I found that the story itself was interesting and full of twists and turns and I found the most of the characters enjoyable. definitely look forward to read more books Alexa Summers!

This is book two in the Solum Series from Colleen S. Myers. I would highly recommend that you read the first book in the series, “Must Remember” before you dive into this one. There is a lot of detail in that book and it really sets you up for this one. As well as being a continuation from the first.
I have to say this one sort of bothered me. I had trouble liking/ connecting to Elizabeth (Beta). I found myself hollering at her in my mom voice a several times while reading the book. She really just needed to stop being so darn stubborn. I get why a character having these flaws sets up the way for future story lines but this one was just a bit too much. I don’t know maybe it was me, but that would have been the only reason for me why I knocked off a star. Everything else was engaging and interesting. I enjoyed the way Myers can build a fantastic world you can escape into. Her stories are fast paced and you often feel as if they are over before you barely have begun.
Like I said before this does pick up from the first book. Elizabeth, or Beta found herself in a whole new world from her typical college student life in that one. Now in an alien world she is also in the middle of a love triangle. (Those area always fun!) This one we discover more about her relationship with Marin. I did enjoy that aspect a lot, and Marin personally.
The E’mani is also still around and that means danger of course. This is where her stubbornness with come in to play and she will get herself in some trouble. She is also forced to make the decision to forget her past and embrace the future. Can she do this? I am looking forward to seeing what will come next in the Solum series.

Truly Unfortunate is the first book in the Welcome to Knollville Series by C.A King. It is a spooky, slightly dark, paranormal thriller. Another superb read from the talented Ms. King. She never fails to deliver a fantastic story and always hooks me right from the get-go. This story is a little different from most of her other reads, but still entirely original, well written, and given the same attention to detail and polish, that she gives all her stories. Truly can’t remember a huge portion of her life, and it’s assumed by the doctors who’ve treated her, that she must have repressed something terrible, which has caused the memory blockage. Try as she might, she can’t recall anything. But, it’s more than that, nothing seems to work out for her either. When she begins to have disturbing visions, and people start dying- she really starts to wonder. Jeff is the local police officer and loves his job. He’d always known he’d become a policeman, galvanized by a tragic event back when he was nine. When strange things start happening and bodies start turning up, he will need to think outside the box to connect the dots to figure out what’s going on. There was definitely more to this story, and character/s than first met the eye. My review is a little vague on purpose, because I don’t want to give anything away. I recommend going in to the book blind and just let the story surprise you. This was nothing like what I was expecting, but in a good way. This is a wonderfully twisted tale that pushes the boundaries of reality, and really kept me questioning what was going on. Another great read from Ms. King’s limitless imagination! Bring on the next book!

Elegantly Denim: An Elegant Prequel (Elegant series prequel) Tee Smith ⅘ stars Elegantly Denim is the prequel to Tee Smith’s Elegant series. The story is short but effective, starting off with excitement and holding the reader’s interest throughout. This is the kind of story you don’t want to put down until it’s finished. I felt like Elegantly Denim did a great job giving the reader a sense of the author’s writing style and setting the tone for the series. I am not entirely sure how I feel about Denim’s character as a whole, I went back and forth about him a few time. Couple my uncertainty with the intrigue of the storyline and I am curious to see how the rest of the Elegant series unfolds. I will most definitely be reading more from Tee Smith.

Touchdown: A Steamy Football Romance by Alexa Summers and AJ Phoenix is the first book in her Big Apple Series and what a way to start a series. From the very beginning this book got under my skin and I couldn’t read it fast enough. Following the story of Lexi Driver and Brett Brock, the chemistry between these two was palpable from their first meeting. Lexi Driver follows her name with her driven attitude and passion to be the best in her field really made her a fantastic character to get to know. Brett Brock is a first-time quarterback and is finally getting his chance to shine on the big stage. Meeting for the first time during a slipped towel incident in the locker room, to say it was a rocky start is putting it lightly. Will these two be able to work together, create magic together; or will their rocky start make them quit before they even begin? Or will the heat between these two bind them together into something so great that they won’t know what to do without each other. Having read several of Summers books, as well as her alter ego Phoenix, in the past; I knew picking this book up I was going to love this. The heat, banter, and burgeoning friendship made this a fantastic read. If you are looking for a read that will not only knock your socks off but warm your heart than this is the story for you. I can’t wait to see where this series goes, but I know that I can’t wait to read each new book.

5 star The Confectioner’s Exile : The Confectioner Chronicles Prequel Novella by Claire Luana is a great read that I couldn’t put down. In this prequel we get to see why Hale is the way he is before entering The Confectioner Guild. One night was all it took to change his life and he is now on the run.He now has to learn to adapt to certain situations he’s in.There are a few twists and turns that had me on the edge of my seat. I highly recommend this book.I cant wait to read more from this Author.

Touchdown is the first novel in the Big Apple series by Alexa Summers. This is my first novel by this author.
Lexi Driver is a sportscaster who is very well liked by her fan based and has climbed the ladder in an occupation predominantly held by men.
While interviewing a player, she catches Brett Brock in a midst of a wardrobe malfunction which goes viral.
With the incident hurting both of their careers, some reactions are positive.
After the news dies down, Brett wants an apology but Lexi doesn’t she how she is at fault when it was the cameraman that looked in that direction. To retaliate, Brett makes plans to humiliate her.
I really enjoyed the sports romance which is genre of romance I don’t read much and each time I do, I always wonder why I don’t read it more often.
Lexi was very well written and relatable character who has made a name for herself in a field that women don’t get into often.
Lexi and Brett relationship started with humiliation and dislike but ended with a great romance and I love stories like that. Where I can read the progression of the relationship and what makes the characters start to warm up to each other.
There was vast amount of characters and I hope we see them again with their own novel.

Four Stars
This story had so much packed into it. I found the story line to be very interesting. Chase is my normal type of guy. Controlling and hot. He cares for his woman a little too much but not everyone is perfect. Katrina was stubborn and independent. I liked the way she stood up for herself. Even though she gave into most of Chases demands. She didn’t let him steamroll her either. She fought for the thinks she wanted. The author presented us with a good power couple. This story was so thrilling and action filled. When your life is in danger 24/7 you rake pleasure in everything. I wanted to see more of Katrina in action putting herself out there to help her man. There were some major hot moments and the author nailed those. Lol! This is the type of book I read to make my dream guy. I won’t lie there were some parts that could’ve been better but overall I really liked this book. I will be reading book 3. Reviewed by @gguerrero89

Viking who dunnit mystery? More please! I’ve always been fascinated by the people we call Vikings so I was hooked at the summary. Sigrid and Ketil are wonderful main characters in this historical suspense novel and the attention to detail on every page were such that it wouldn’t surprise me to find some of these locations in real life and wonder if I’d been there before. There were many twists and turns, red herrings, and I have seldom been more wrong about who I believed to be the culprit. I can’t wait to read more of Lexie Conyngham’s books.

Tomb for an Eagle (Orkneyinga Murders Book 1) by Lexie Conyngham is a four star novel. This novel is very interesting because of the historical background that is presented. With the author being a historian, the way the Vikings are portrayed are more than likely accurate. All the details that went into this novel must have taken years of research. The way the author portrayed this town and the people living in it had me yearning for more. As I kept turning pages and reading more and more, I couldn’t help but get sucked into the story and the whodunit aspect. This book was full of suspense and kept me guessing right up to the very end.

Tomb For an Eagle by Lexie Conyngham is the first book in the Orkneyinga Murders series and is set in a beautiful country which adds to the story and the mystery.
This book is a story of mystery, intrigue and will have you gripped from the first chapter, the story weaves through and has you engaged right to the last word. The writing draws you into the story and feels that you are living the twists and turns all the way through story, I was completely enthralled and was kept guessing all the way through to the end.
The characters are rich and you take them to your heart, I always love when a author makes the country a character too and to set this story in Scotland you have an instant character especially with the descriptions of the places, although some of the town names being written in either Gaelic or Celtic were hard to pronounce but I think I got some right. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a great mystery. This is the fist book I have read from this author and it will not be the last.

Touchdown was a hot 5 star read and book one in The Big Apple series.
Lexi is a sports reporter who gets to see it all when she goes into the locker rooms after games, and I mean all. She is one of the best interviewers in the business. While in the locker room there is a towel malfunction and live TV gets a full view of Brett the hot quarterback.
Wanting an apology from Lexi thinking that she planned the whole incident, Brett doesn’t get it so he has another plan. In the meantime he and Lexi have some very hot and steamy moments and spend more time together. Things start to take a turn for Brett and he is developing feelings for Lexi.
There is a huge twist that changes everything very quickly. Will these two be able to get past it?
This was a great story that has hot scenes, jealous exes and co-workers and so much more. I loved all of the secondary characters with the exception of Izzy and Jade. They were on my hate list. I had several LOL moments, especially when Lexi was in the locker rooms, loved her thoughts. This is my first read from this author and I loved it, I was pulled right in from the beginning and couldn’t stop until I was done. I look forward to reading more from this series.

Healing Danger (Fortis Security #1) by Maddie Wade was a okay read that kept my attention and followed at a good pace.
I got some mixed feelings going on with this one. I have read one other book in this series, and I did have some mix feelings about that as well. I’m not going to get into that. This story, this tale, was unique to say the least. I liked the overall plot and I loved the paranormal element. It added a little something extra and also adds a darkened subplot, that will be the driving force of this series.
What got me all mixed up is the love plot and how it felt a little off and forced. For the first book in a series, it read more like a continuation, things felt missed, especially between Lauren and Dane. Yes they do have history before the start of this story, more along the lines of long-distance friends. Dane was deployed (I don’t know a few years back, before this story starts, not sure of that timeline) and Lauren wrote him, which I might add wasn’t mention by Lauren (that he was deployed), so at first I thought they were chatting over a work like network.. nope.. not the case; so that was a tab bit confusing at first. They why they were tossed together was, just, anticlimactic. Now don’t get me wrong there is plenty of action and drama in this book, just not in regards to the love plot. (Not talking about the smut scenes.)
As for the mystery, and the stalker that’s trying to off Lauren, that was interesting, engaging and great. I was fully immersed in that storyline, and it’s what kept me reading. It made up for the flatness of the loveline, and really brought this story to life. It also pulled this read into that 4 star spot. I was a little on the fence there. But I have to warn you, this story ends on a cliff-hanger. As in, the major who-ha, is cut and now I have to get the second book to see what the hell is going on.
So yeah, overall this book is a pretty decent read. I liked almost everything, and I will be continuing this series. So please take my stamp of approval, and my high recommendation.
Mad About Matt (A Red Maple Falls Novel, #1) By Theresa Paolo. This book is without a doubt in my top five favorite reads for this year! This is my first book by this author and I’m so incredibly glad I found her! This book is beautiful and filled with so many wonderful emotions. Matt and Shay are a couple that completely grabs your attention and has you living their story right beside them. The author does a wonderful job of writing with just details that I truly saw the story come alive. This story about second chances is also about following dreams and making your own path in life. Each character brings something unique to this amazing story. I’m so excited to read other books by this author and have to give this one a five star review and highly recommend it to everyone!

The Confectioner’s Guild, Book 1 in The Confection Chronicles by Claire Luana 5 out of 5 stars
I love food and reading and anything that combines the two are pretty much my favorite thing in the whole wide world. This book puts a super fun twist on a murder mystery. Wren Confectioner has found herself thrust into a world she does not understand, she is struggling to come to terms with the understanding of what she had gotten herself into. Wren has been charged with a magical murder and she has no idea why. She makes friends with a very VERY handsome magical inspector to try to solve this dying problem and the friends she makes along the way help her try to master her powers. The deeper Wren and her friends get into this mystery, the higher up the chain they go on the suspect list, and Wren soon discovers that death by chocolate cupcake is not the worst way to go. I loved every inch of this book. Wren is a sassy, force to be reckoned with character. Lucas, the investigator, is a no nonsense, handsome man who I just absolutely fell in love with. You will not regret picking up this sweet read
