Savannah’s Saviors (The Cowboys of Cavern County Book 5) Bella Settarra is a romance story with a little twist. I really enjoy reading this book and fell in love with most of the characters, well the ones who count. Bella has written a story that is as heartbreaking as it is heartwarming. The characters were real life and down to earth and the town that Bella created could be imagined. It is really well written and will keep you engaged to the very end. This was a tale of violence and abuse, of lies and secrets, of betrayal and new beginnings, of sadness and misunderstandings and of love and laughter. I wouldn’t mind me some handsome cowboys and loved watching them all grow together. This should not be missed. I am looking forward to reading more from Bella.

Jesse is book three in the Glass City Hearts series by Desiree Lafawn. It is a mixture of suspense, determination, strength, courage, tension, passion, love, triumph. It has loads of everything. Everything that makes you think hard, breathe hard, cringe hard, laugh hard, cry hard, pray hard, rejoice hard. A romance with it all.
Jesse melted my heart as well as raised my blood pressure. He sounded all sorts of hot. Pleasure getting to know him. Harlow displays a strength that is admirable. She does what she has to do. She is great at what she does. She is tough femininity personified. Add in the characters from earlier in the series, and you have one story you just cannot put down. They are colourful, cantankerous, courageous, and day they make no apologies for that.
Jesse was an unforgettably decadent read. 5 stars.

Caught in Make-Believe: The Caught Series, Book 3 by Sharleen Scott 4 out of 5 stars
This 3rd installment in the Caught series is a fantastic book. It can be read as a standalone, however, you would gain a lot of insight and background knowledge from past characters, and relationships if you read the previous 2 books. While it does not take away from Caught in Make-Believe, I am a firm believer, as a reader, that you should read a series from Book 1. Samantha and Jace are our two main characters. Samantha is a woman who is lucky in business but unlucky in love. Her most recent relationship ended in such a terrible way that she is on the verge of swearing off men. In walks Jace, an investigative journalists who uncovered a massive story that sent him into hiding for 5 years.
Jace does not want to put Samantha in danger and Samantha knows that Jace’s stay will most likely be temporary, but they are drawn together in a way that is both explosive and necessary. But Jace’s past catches up with him and he soon figures out that 5 years away, is not nearly enough to escape the dangers that are after him.
I loved this story. The suspense combined with the romance made for a perfect book to curl up and read on a rainy friday night. The sentence structures were full and complete thoughts and the paragraphs flowed from to the other. I never felt rushed, nor did I feel that I was not given enough information during this book. Highly recommended!

But it had so many sides of every emotion throughout. Zoe and Tim had such a dynamic between them and when they finally took the jump, i was so happy! I loved to see previous characters from other books in this series, but this can be read as a standalone. I cannot wait for more from this author.

Player by Pamela DuMond is the first book in her 21st Century Courtesan series and what a fantastic first book. This book grabbed me from the first page and didn’t let go until the last page. I easily gave up all of my day to blaze through this one and can’t wait until the next installment comes out. Following the story of Dylan McAlister and Evie it was easy to fall in love with them. Evie is a woman of seduction by night and education by day. Becoming a seductress was supposed to be to help her family but the more she does it the more she falls in love with the power that it gives her. When Evie meets Dylan, she thinks he is going to be just another job, but there is something about Dylan that brings out a desire and passion from her that she wasn’t prepared for. When Dylan first set his eyes on Evie, he wasn’t prepared for what she brought out in him. His broken past kept him from connecting to others, but these two connected from meeting one. Can Evie help Dylan with the broken pieces of himself? Can Dylan keep Evie beyond their night together? There is a touch of suspense to this lovers tale, as Evie’s stalker isn’t happy with her budding love affair with Dylan. Can these two get past their dark pasts, or will they be pulled apart by differences. DuMond is a new to me author, but I am so glad that I picked this book up. The chemistry between Evie and Dylan was palpable, and the playful banter between them made this an easy story to fall into. If you are looking for a great story that will take you away from everything for a couple hours than this is the story for you. This book is a part of a series, and while I haven’t read book two yet, if it’s anything like this one I can’t wait to read it. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a great read and a new author!

I have read a few of this talented authors books and she continues to blow me away. This is the second book of the Prequel to Brothers of Camelot and My Life series. I love a good coming to age book but this author exceeds my expectations. This series has be read in order or you will be lost. I could not put this book down. I could not help falling in love with these characters once again. It only took me a little over a day to devour this incredible story.
This book picks up where the last one ends. Alessandra is the Princess to the Canzano Family. She is going to the Boss when her father passes it down to her. Alessandra has been training ever since she was six years old. She is now trained to kill and she is even better than some of the men. Alessandra is now a teenager that wants to do teen things but she can’t. She is growing to hate her roll in the family. Alessandra has to be on guard at all times. One day her world is turned upside down. She makes a promise that will change her life but will she be able to do it? Will Alessandra get to live her life or will she stay in the cage her father has her in?
This is my favorite series I have read this year. The storyline has it all love, loss,heartbreak, and healing. You will fall in love with these characters all over again. I absolutely love Alessandra’s Uncle. He is her hero. He will do anything to make her smile. Alessandra is so brave at this tender age. She has seen a lot of violence through her life but she learns from it. All she wants to do is to find true love. This talented author made me cry tears of sadness and joy. This being the third book in this series was another great one. I was not disappointed. I really enjoyed the chance to get to know more about the Mallory’s and the extended family. I was just as entranced with this book as I was the first.
I really like how Skye and Edward’s lives just really became entangled with one another. The outside dramas that incurred from her ex and his ex just really made the story. The author really has a unique writing form that you get sucked in from the first page. I really enjoyed the chemistry between Skye and Edward and then throwing in his young son really just made the whole story. I found myself really drawn to Skye as she was so relateable. I will definitely be reading more from this author in the future and I actually hope that there is more to this series.

Another great read in this series! This book should be read after book 1 as it is a continuation of the story. Even though I really enjoyed book 1 in this series I think this one was even better. I loved reading more about Beta and Martin. I still really liked Beta and admired her determined attitude, she knew what she wanted and she wasn’t going to let anybody, not even Martin, get in her way! Martin was sweet and really just wanted to protect Beta the best he could, however with her mind set on revenge he was finding that a little, if not very, difficult. There were again some great twists and turns in the story that made it all the more exciting to read. The imaginative world that Ms Myers has created in this series is amazing, I really feel like I can visualise the setting at all times. A great second book in this series that I highly recommend! I look forward to reading more from this author again in the future.

This is one amazing series! After loving book 1 I was really looking forward to starting this one and I wasn’t disappointed at all. Everything I loved about book 1, the writing, the plot and the characters – I loved again with this book. The author has an amazing talent at dragging you into her stories straight away and not letting you out until the very end. As Chase and Katarina’s story continues we get to see more into their relationship both professionally and personally. We see Katarina discover the father she never knew and danger surround Chase as he tried to protect those nearest to him. With danger lurking around every corner I couldn’t turn the pages quick enough to see what was going to happen next. The suspense and action that they author created was amazing and kept me on the edge of my seat. I am eagerly anticipating the next book in the series – I cannot wait to read it and get more of these characters!

Got to be honest I absolutely loved this book! It was exciting to read, it was entertaining and I couldn’t put it down! It was also a fantastic introduction to Ms DuMond as a brand new author to me. The story was fast paced and the flow was perfect. I could feel the tension between Evie and Dylan rolling off the pages as I took in their story. I really liked Evie, she was a strong independent woman but as I got to know her more and the more I read about her I could see that this was a front and she was covering up for things that had happened in her past. Dylan is extremely hot and I just knew that the connection and chemistry between the two of them would be good – and I wasn’t wrong!! I absolutely cannot wait for the next book in the series and I really need to check out the prequel to the series too! A fantastic 5 star read that I highly recommend!!
I loved this book. The main characters are well developed. The book moves quickly. I liked the transition between past and present and thought the author did a great job navigating the storyline. All in all a great book. This is the first I’ve read from this author and I hope it won’t be the last.

I really, really enjoyed this book! When I first looked at the blurb I honestly wasn’t sure what kind of read I was in for so I was intrigued and that intrigue paid off, it was a very, good read and a great introduction to a new to me author. I’ve read a few sci-fi books however it is still a genre that is quite new to me. Born to Fight dragged me in almost straight away, the authors writing style was engaging and her descriptive language particularly good. There was a good mix of genres really in the story and everything melded together really well. The author used multiple points of view to tell the story which I’ll be honest I love! I love seeing things from different characters perspectives and I felt like I really knew the characters, Hunter and Rain really well. There were some good twists and turns in the story that definitely meant my interest was kept form beginning to end. It was nice to read something a little different and also something I found unpredictable. I am definitely looking forward to reading more from this author again in the future.

Across From You by Amabel Daniels is a charming romantic comedy about two people who, despite being determinedly not looking for relationships, find their paths crossing. It’s a story of love and friendship, and is an entertaining and enjoyable read. Lexi has just been dumped rather dramatically and publicly on social media when the story begins. After such brutal treatment from a man she trusted, she’s wary of getting into anything anytime soon. That doesn’t stop her from rather enjoying the nude model at an art class her best friend has dragged her along to! Lexi is a determined and loveable character, fighting to stay positive for her cousin Bev’s wedding in spite of everything. And Jack – nude model and, conveniently, a friend of Bev’s, is a gentle and warm character. The story alternates between Lexi and Jack’s perspective each chapter. This works well, as we see them falling in love from both angles. It also lets us see the misunderstandings and assumptions they are making about each other, and get a sense for why they do and say what they do. Both of them are hurting from past relationships, and cautious about trusting someone else. The drama of Bev’s wedding provides a great backdrop for the story. As well as an excuse for the characters to be together, it pits them against common enemies (tactless bridesmaids, a tyrannical wedding coordinator) and allows for an exploration of love at different stages. For me, this is a five star read. I really enjoyed it, and was quickly drawn in by the loveable characters and entertaining scenarios. If you’re after something fun and positive, I’d recommend this. I imagine it would be particularly enjoyable to anyone familiar with the stresses of a wedding day!

Mad About Matt is a second chance romance book. I found that some of the content was not for me personally, but I can understand how this content would be for someone else. Theresa Paolo did write an interesting story. Her characters are lovable, and the town is small town USA. Besides being a romance book, there is a mystery about the town. I did like this story as I love the story line and the plot. Just some of the intimate details was a little too much for me.
Matt loved Shay when they were in high school. Then as the story goes his high school sweetheart Shay came back from NYC. Shay has opened a bakery in Red Maple Falls and she has been the victim of several break-ins. She is worried that someone has followed her from NYC. She does not want to press charges and Matt (now sheriff) does not understand why.

This is a cute story about a chance meeting. I really liked Lexi and Jack. Both had great senses of humor. I loved how they met and the second meeting as well. I liked how they were both basically “regular” people. Not glamorous jobs or super rich. There was many things I liked about Lexi. How she is honest, faithful and has a face full of thoughts. She could be anyone. Jack wasn’t as rigid as I would expect being a state trooper. I loved his attitude and that once he decided to go for it he was “all” in. These two seemed “real” in the respect of their jobs and insecurities on their feelings with each other.
My only issue is there is a lot of thinking and rehashing going on in their noggins. Some is okay in my book but repetitive or too much is not my cup of tea. This isn’t my first book by this author. I enjoy her characters and writings style. So I will always look forward to the next book from her.

Imperfect Heart, Combat Hearts Book 4, by Tarina Deaton is a well written romantic comedy. This story of Zoe and Tim is absolutely hilarious. I thoroughly enjoyed the way the story began and the hi-jinks that follow make this a great novel. Zoe is a strong female character in this story, but she can’t deny that she needs help at some points. The question is, how much can she take and from whom. Then, adding Tim into the mix, and he has a protective streak a mile wide. Their personalities clash, but at the same time, the magnetism between them is undeniable from the beginning. This was a fun story throughout.

Who was a great 5 star psychological thriller and book one in the Stalker series.
Larkin is a very hard worker and has created a fashion empire. One night while she was taking some alone time on the roof she is pulled off the ledge by a mysterious man who thought she was going to jump. Who is he and what was he doing on the roof?
When Larkin discovers she has a stalker things take an interesting twist. I was really pulled in and through the whole book I was trying to figure out who the stalker was. There are so many twists and turns my head was spinning.
We learn pretty quickly that she doesn’t have a great relationship with her father. She does have a group of friends that she is close to and I really liked them. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. The author does a great job with her writing. There is so much going on that your head will be spinning. We do also get some steamy scenes. I really liked the epilogue and I can’t wait to start the next book in the series.

Degrees of Acceptance by Via Mari a four-star read that will turn your head. This is the second book in A Prestian Series and I would recommend you read the series in order as they give the whole story and you won’t want to miss a detail and it does continue the story. This is such a story of discovery and identity, it does touch on trigger subjects so don’t read if you don’t like that sort of thing. Kate was a great character overall, but I don’t know at times I did find her a little off at parts, and then she came into her own again, so I ended up loving her again. If you want passion, mystery, suspense, drama and humour as well then this is a series for you.

Player is the first book in the 21st Century Courtesan Series by Pamela DuMond. Ms. DuMond is a new-to-me author that I wish I had discovered sooner. This story really had so much going on in it. The multi-layered storyline took me on a ride that I won’t soon forget. It’s original, suspenseful, mysterious, sexy, and dramatic- which made for quite a captivating read. Evelyn Berlinger (Evie) is an empath who had quite a tumultuous childhood, with one particularly tragic event shattering her young existence. Because of this tragedy she suppressed her empathic abilities- shutting them down and tried to get on with her life. Since reaching adulthood, she has taken financial responsibility for her family, which put a heavy strain on her and her bank account. So, when the opportunity comes to earn some extra money- Evie has to give it serious consideration. But working for the Ma Maison Agency as a high priced escort is not without its own issues. Things get really interesting when she’s assigned a new client, Dylan McAlister, who awakens her empathic abilities. With a powerful attraction, and intense chemistry surging between them, Evie feels like she’s known him forever. But Dylan is a bit of a broken man, with his life crumbling around him. Evie is in a position to help him heal, using her unique skills to get the crux of his problem- if he’ll let her. But with family dramas, and a creepy ‘fan’, things are never going to be quite that simple.

Her ‘awakening’ takes her on a bit of a cross-country adventure where she not only learns a lot about her client, but also about herself. I loved following Evie through the story, she really is a wonderfully complex and endearing character- and I found myself rooting for her the whole way through. I loved Dylan and thought that they were perfect together. There were a few characters that I hated, but I think that was Ms. DuMond’s intent. This book has made me an insta-fan of Ms. DuMond, and of this series- I really can’t wait for the second book, Movie Star’, to be released, so I can continue the story. Well Done!!

If I could give this book more than five stars I would. I devoured it in less than 4 hours and my only complaint is that it was over. I can’t wait for the next installment.
This was such a unique take on the good girl needs money, modern escort story. Evie Berlinger is not your typical young woman. For awhile it gets her by. Kindergarten by day and escort by night. Until she meets the handsome Dylan McAlister. Things start to get a little messy when she starts feeling things she hasn’t felt in years. These two were hot, hot, hot! Like, keep a tall glass of water, and a fan nearby, hot.
Will I ever meet another man I’m attracted to as much as Dylan? Who knows? What I do know is that it’s finally okay for me to be empathic. Not more pushit it away, not more keeping it under wraps. Four Stars When I picked this book I didn’t think it would be like this. To live the life that they have chosen. Without regret or shame. Evie took on such a difficult life after so much tragedy. The pain and helplessness she felt watching Wyatt and Easton suffer. I can believe Easton blamed her. Then there is Dylan. He did so much for Evie and brought her out of her shell. But Lord he turned into a douche real quick. Life sometimes has us feeling like nothing will ever go right but Evie kept an ok outlook on most things. For an empath they care too much and are always going out of their comforts to help others. Evie was her own worse enemy. I definitely have to read the next book. The author keeps you engaged by giving you a little taste but then pulling back. This is my first book by this author but it won’t be my last. Reviewed by @gguerrero89

Imperfect Heart (Combat Hearts #4) by Tarina Deaton was the perfect ending to this wonderfully amazing series.
I love this series, and I’m saddened that this is the last instalment. But all good things must come to a end, even if we don’t want them to. I must say this book, was just as strong as the others, and it being that last had that added closer that let you feeling like, these characters are going to be okay. I will say that though this is considered a standalone. I highly suggest reading the other books, so you can get a feel for this world, and of course, avoid spoilers.
While reading this book I was sitting here like, did Tarina Deaton just predict my future? Confused, well I am a serving member (Canadian Navy) and I currently have 12 years in, and am releasing in the next year. My plan is to somehow just surround myself with books and make money. So yeah, I drew some strong comparison between myself and our MC. Now I just need a sexy cop to come “save me” and we’d be all good. .jk.jk...
Okay enough about that, let’s get into this story.
I very much like Zoe, and as I have said in my reviews of the other books in this series, you can tell it was written by someone who has served. The slang, the interactions, and just in the way Zoe acted. I believe I have said this before, but the military, no matter what country you serve in, does a number on your social skills. And the whole, “I can save myself”, is also a strong trait we all seem to share.
Tim, my dream guy, why the hell are you fiction? lol.. But in all seriousness, he was a great character and fit well with Zoe. Strong, sassy, and there, he was there for her, even when she was fighting him, he was there. Sure he was a bit alpha-ish, but he’s a cop, I think that’s part of their job requirements.
Overall this book, was perfect. It was a perfect addition to a amazing series, and it was that perfect ending that tied up everything, leaving you feeling all gooey and happy on the inside. So please, please take my super, super, high recommendation and my gold stamp of approval, that you will be captured by this truly heart melty, feels snapping read.
A great read about luck. Wren is given the chance of a lifetime when a customer notices her baking and tells the Guild and they offer her a job. But before she can start, the guildmaster drops dead whilst eating one of her cupcakes. Accused of his murder, Wren faces execution and is only spared by being vouched for by the inspector and that the King is absent. But can they find the real killer before its too late and the King returns? A great read; Well developed plot with twists and turns that I just couldn’t put down. Well developed characters like Wren struggling to trust people but wanting to belong or Lucas trying to help people or Hale with his humorous personality but kind nature underneath. Great supporting cast like the stern Callidus of the sweet Olivia. A brilliant example of world building in a fantasy world with its rules and societies and geography and history that was detailed with care for the audience to imagine. I loved the vivid imagery throughout the novel for example with the palace and temple in a sense of grandeur and detail in a sense of wonder shared with Wren or the vivid colours of dresses and icing. or the scenery of mountains and water further on in the novel colourful and spectacular all beautifully written to create the sense of wonderful world full of life and colour and people. the idea of magic bakers was a fun and fantastic idea and was a brilliant addition to the fantasy genre. The passion for baking in Wren was a lovely touch. Fast paced action and high stakes in a wonderful fantasy world made for a captivating read. Overall, a great read and I would give it five stars.
