Shattered Love by Nivia Borell is the first book in the Forever Us series. The story starts when Bria du Mont and Damien du Sky are young. They have a horrible breakup due to infidelity. As they grow and continue with their lives they find themselves being drawn together. This is an interesting book that had lots of emotion. I liked the basis of the story and how things become bigger than anticipated because of misunderstanding and lack of communication. Bria is not my favorite character and I had a hard time growing to like her. She seemed immature and self-centered at times which is why I’m not endeared to her. The writing is easy to read and kept the story moving along well. I will be looking for the second book to see where this author goes next.
