Spar by Randi Perrin is a contemporary romance full of steaming chemistry, drama and some martial arts thrown in. Chloe is such a strong individual in this character and it shines through with her interactions with others, her work and personal life ethics. However, not all is easy within her life and she struggles at times determine that balance along with making the best choices. Chloe grew by the time the story ended in the most fascinating ways. Then, let’s add Locke. Holy monkeys talk about an alpha male. He is absolutely irresistible in this story and I loved every scene he was in! I would like to order one of him for my personal collection!! I found the pace in the story was steady while developing the plot and characters. There were an amazing selection of supporting characters that I would love to see have their own stories.
Flirty Dancing is the 3rd instalment in the Green Room Chronicles Series by JD Frettier. The Green Room Chronicles are a series of funny, spicy novellas set in the afterlife. This novella is approx. 81 pages and I devoured it in one sitting. In Flirty Dancing we are introduced to Kitty Eatin (sorry, just her name alone has me giggling). Kitty is a pole dancing mother of 2 who is married to the love of her life. So it’s a major shock when the grim reaper comes to claim her and she finds herself as the newest resident in The Green Room. Beloved characters Dee, Bonnie and Linda from the previous books are there to welcome her and introduce her to the wonderful world of the Green Room. With the help of a ghostologist Kitty is able to reconnect with her beloved husband and children who are struggling with life without her. As funny as these novellas are, all start with the main character dying. These novellas really do pull on the heartstrings as the newly deceased person, Kitty in this case, struggle to comprehend that they are dead and ‘life’ will never be the same again. I thoroughly enjoyed Flirty Dancing, as I had enjoyed the previous 2 novellas in this series and I really hope that J.D. Frettier has more to give us from The Green Room.

This is the second book that I have read by this author and I liked it just as much as the first. If you are looking for a quick funny read this one is a good one. I highly suggest reading the first book in this series because we meet some of the characters in the book that is before this one. The characters are likeable and funny and I could connect to them very easily. I was laughing throughout this whole book and I am looking forward to reading more by this author. I would recommend this book to a friend.

5 Stars
This is my second read by this author and also the 2nd in this series… I loved it just as I did the first one. I love how this author tells a story and how smooth the story flows.
I love series with recurring characters and it was awesome checking back in with the mains of the first book. I also loved that I was trying to solve a mystery and at the same time this story made me laugh out loud more than once.
There is definitely an ongoing story behind the main characters relationships and I’m loving how this is being told, and is very easy to follow. Because of this I would definitely not recommend reading these out of order, besides the stories are awesome so you don’t want to miss out on these.
I can’t wait for this story to continue because the ending definitely left me needing much much more. I also can not wait to check in to what else this author has available.

Flirty Dancing by J.D. Frettier is another great erotica read, it’s the third book in The Green Room Chronicles series. I would recommend reading this series in order as each new book follows the last with new and old characters throughout.
I was genuinely surprised at how much I enjoyed this series as it isn’t what I normally reach for but I’m so glad I gave it a chance. I completely devoured this whole series in one sitting as I couldn’t seem to get enough.
I look forward to reading more from this phenomenal author in the future!

Heartbreaking!! Heartbreaking is the one word I’d use to describe Abandoned By Love by Aleya Michelle. If you decide to read this book, and I definitely recommend that you do, then please make sure that you have a supply of tissues handy as you will sure as hell need them. Jaxon and Emily are school sweethearts who are madly in love and have a bright future ahead of them. Jaxon is the star of the baseball team and Emily is a gymnast. Their lives are pretty perfect but then fate has a different plan for them. A car crash changes their lives forever. Emily can’t face her future anymore and moves away leaving Jaxon heartbroken. This story is so powerful and full of emotion. Told from both points of view, we are given flash backs to the perfect lives they had before the accident, and also are given an emotional look at how both are dealing with the post-accident trauma and struggling to cope with life without each other. This is the first part of a duet and I cannot wait for part two to come out as I’m desperate to know what the future hold for both Emily and Jaxon. They are both amazing characters who have had so much adversity in their lives and they really deserve a HEA, hopefully with each other.

Cinderfella by Kristy Brown has a fairy tale story with a twist. Kristy Brown did an amazing job of taking Cinderella and putting a new twist. I enjoyed this story because it was a simple novel and not one where you had to focus on every word to figure out about who did what/where or how/why everything is being done. With the roles reversed, there is a country young man Ash, who is being treated unfairly by his step-father and step brothers. Then there was beautiful young woman, Ellie who is bashful and is trying to escape from the wealth and her responsibilities. Will Ash find Ellie and save her or will Ellie find Ash and save him?

Me and Cinderella by Kelly Mooney is the second book in the Dirty Rooster Series and so worth reading! I could not put this BOOK DOWN!!! Eli left Sugar Creek years ago and vowed to never come back, he would never end up like his parents, and he would never have Remington no matter how much he loved and longer for her. When he finds out his father is getting out of prison, he heads back to Sugar Creek to help his little brother. Once back, Remington enters his life again and their story is an emotional read. I don’t want to give spoilers so I would highly recommend this book to anyone. Kelly Mooney gave us a book that holds you and plants you right in the middle of Elis and Remington’s story and life. I felt like I was on an emotional rollercoaster that I never wanted to get off. I rate this book 5 stars and I wish I could double that! Simply an amazing read!

Flirty Dancing in the 3rd book in The Green Room Chronicles. This story is different from the first two in the sense it has more emotion in it.
This story is about Kitty and young woman with a husband and 2 children who due to an accident ends up dead. She struggles to come to terms with this and struggles with losing her husband and not being there to help raise her children.
But with the help of her new friends they show her and teach her ways she can be there for her family even though she has passed.
It is a really heartwarming story and leaves you feeling that even though you’ve lost loved ones they are still watching over us every step of the way

Vantage Point is the fourth book in Amy McKinley’s Gray Ghost series. The series follows a team of people, many with military experience, who undertake security missions and similar risky tasks. Pretty much everyone on the team has a tragic backstory which motivates them to work to protect others who are in danger. In this book, the focus is on Hawk – a member of the team we’ve already encountered in previous books. He’s concerned about his neighbour Stella, having overheard arguments from her apartment. Although initially reluctant to take up his offer for help, Stella turns to Hawk when she realises the mess she’s in is much bigger than she anticipated. The present-day story is interspersed with flashbacks to Hawk’s childhood. We learn about the abuse and neglect he suffered and overcame. We also see how this childhood trauma factors into his drive to protect others, including Stella, from similar dangers. It’s an action-packed, suspenseful story. The other members of the Gray Ghost team play a part, and it’s nice to see familiar characters popping up as Hawk is developed further. I really like this approach to having a series that focuses on different members of the team in different books. For me, this is a five star read. It’s a great series and I would thoroughly recommend reading it if you like action, romance and suspense.

I was so excited to read this book and oh my what a book it was! I was completely captivated from beginning to end. This book is the continuation of Darren’s and Luisa’s story so absolutely should be read after book 2. I was so intrigued by their story in book 1 and I had hoped to find out more about them in this book and I got that and more! They just had such a strong and intense relationship that at times make you wonder whether they should be together but deep down you know that they absolutely should. The detail the author uses in her writing makes you feel like you are right there in the story with these characters and living their live along with them. Her attention to everything in the story just aids with making her books such an absolute pleasure to read and I would not hesitate at all to recommend this series to anybody who is looking for a fantastic 5 star set of books!

I have been patiently (ok maybe not so patiently) waiting for the fourth book in this series to be released! This was the series that made me fall in love with paranormal romance stories and I couldn’t wait to see how this amazing series was going to end – but then that made me sad that this was in fact the last book in the series and I wasn’t ready to let go of these amazing characters! I think Ms Hutchinson was indeed aiming to go out on a high with the final book and she 100% did that! It was a phenomenal read! I was hooked from beginning to end, the story was crammed full of action, the pace was amazing and I was completely and utterly captivated by what I was reading. I adore Sera, she has been an amazing character to follow and learn about. I knew what I wanted to happen for her in this story and I think the author completely did her justice in this book! The series does need to be read in order to fully understand what is happening with the characters and I 100% recommend every single one of them! I can’t wait to read more from this author again in the future!

I was really looking forward to reading this second book in The Dirty Rooster series especially as I enjoyed book 1 so much and I wasn’t disappointed at all. It can be read as a standalone also. Again like book 1 the story was really well written and I really liked that characters. I like a forbidden romance and this was definitely one of my favourites! The chemistry between the characters was hot and intense but also not too over the top – it made it feel more believable. I could really feel the connection between the two characters too and I was rooting for them the whole way through! I would absolutely recommend this book to others and I am really looking forward to reading more from Ms Mooney again in the future!

A great read about bravery. Claire O’Farrell is a woman living in America with her family. She speaks her mind and has strange acquaintances which get her into trouble. One day, she and her friend Loretta decide to sign up as nurses to help soldiers in the Spanish – American War. The story follows her adventure in this vocational calling, through danger and illness and violence as Claire grows as a character with the story. When she gets tangled up in events, will her bravery help her make it out alive? A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns. Well developed characters like Claire standing up for herself but also kind and compassionate underneath or Joe as funny and wise but also kind underneath. Great cast of supporting characters like the strict Aunt Norah or the lilvely Loretta. I loved the visual detail throughout the novel like with the island with the waves and the boats and the seagulls and its sights and smells as if you were actually there. Or with the farmhouse with its hills and goats and chickens for a sense of farm life and family written perfectly. I liked the sense of it being a bildungsroman as Claire grows as a person throughout the narrative, with the first person used perfectly to display her thoughts and feelings. The sense of a historical novel was written well, with societal issues and gaslights and wars in the narrative. The only issue i would raise is that there were a lot of long sentences which made it hard to get into to the narrative. This could be resolved by a variety of sentences lengths to keep the reader engaged. I would also have liked a date at the start as a chapter title to make it easier for the reader to know what time period it is, especially if you are not from America. Overall, a great read and I would give it four stars.

Deborah’s childhood on Long Island, NY can be described as Cinderella meets Carrie. A latch-key kid, she spent her days after school, cooking, cleaning and looking after her younger brother to help out her very strict working parents. Those hours of nothingness sparked a wild imagination and a few invisible friends.
In 2014, she finished her first full length novel and after years of doing the whole corporate thing, it was finally her turn to make the dream come true of being a published author. Must Love Fashion, her debut novel, was a 2018 Golden Leaf finalist for Best Contemporary Romance. Now with four published novels, and two more scheduled for release in 2019, she is sharing those imaginary friends with her readers.
Her heroines are strong and witty and the heroes fall hard for them. Readers love that her characters are mature and the plots realistic. Kirkus Reviews called her Darling Cove series “promising,” RT Magazine called her work “sexy and sophisticated,”, InD’tale Magazine said her Darling Cove books are “fun, entertaining and heart-warming,” and Uncaged Magazine called her novella, a “gem of a book.”
When she’s not writing, she’s either at the gym or traveling up and down the East Coast to visit out of town relatives. In addition to a great book, she loves pugs and chocolate ad eats her bacon cheeseburgers with a Grey Goose Cosmopolitan.

Two and a half years ago at a buddy’s wedding, I found the perfect woman. The one who actually made me want to try for something more than a one night stand. But before I had the chance to even find out her last name, she was gone.
With my time in the Marines behind me, I’m starting a new position providing live-in security to some rich tech guy who has been receiving threats. I’m not certain I’m going to accept the position until I learn the mysterious woman who disappeared on me happens to be my new roommate. There’s no way I can turn down this position.
What’s even more surprising than her walking into the room to serve us dinner, is that she refuses to talk about the night we spent together! What makes the color leave her face, her hands start to shake and look like she’s on the verge of a panic attack at the mere mention of that night?
When the threats against our new boss start escalating, I vow to protect the both of them even if she continues to hide something from me. I don’t know what it is about her, but she hasn’t been far from my thoughts for the last two years and I’m not about to let her go just because my new boss pissed off a few people.

If the Shoe Fits (The Liberty Lawrence Series Book 3) Bea Stevens 4 out of 5 stars
I’ve enjoyed the lighthearted nature of the Liberty Lawrence series just as much as I’ve adored the cover work of each book! If the Shoe Fits was the perfect continuation of Libby’s antics, quirky and fun. I could have devoured this book in one sitting if not for being an adult and having things like work to get to. I would definitely recommend If the Shoe Fits, it’s my favorite in the series thus far. I would recommend starting the series from the very beginning to get the full picture of Libby’s adventures!

My Achilles heel is historical fiction. It is the one genre that consistently makes my heart flip flop, melding historic details and events with characters that feel authentic and plots that stand the test of time. Dalby does a beautiful job weaving a Civil War era tale with riveting characters. I simply couldn’t read this book fast enough and was hooked from the very first page.
Cinderfella by Kristy Brown is a creative spin on a classic tale. The modern elements of this story were uniquely done along with the magical elements. It is inspiring at its core along with the character chemistry, drama, suspense and possibly a happily ever after? One farm boy with two stepbrothers versus one titled girl, you just want to read it due to the differing dynamic to that classic story we all have heard. This story has some depth to it too with goals and dreams. I found in reading this story that it was sweet, yet alluring at the same time. It begged to be read and it’s a cute story with dynamic telling as the story unfolds.

Gamble on a Cowboy by Melissa Keir and D’Ann Lindun is a contemporary (western) romance. In this book, you will have A Vegas Cowboy by Melissa Keir and Vegas, Baby, Vegas by D’Ann Lindun. Both of these authors are excellent authors on their own; the combination of these two stories were perfectly fit. In A Vegas Cowboy, this is truly a second chance romance and the characters were stunning. I found the story line to be enlightening, fun and pleasant to read. The main characters were well established and raw. In Vegas, Baby, Vegas, the reader is given a bit more country feel to the story, but no less excellent in its imagery. The characters were right on pace, along with an energetic feeling plot and sequence of events. I enjoyed both of these stories!

Pandora’s Price by Sacha T. Y. Fortune is the third book in the Hart & Cole series. I can’t recommend enough that before reading this book to read the first two books in the series. This is the continuation of Darren and Luisa’s story. This is not a sappy, cute romance but a visceral, emotional read. I have enjoyed this book immensely as I had the previous books. I was able to read this quickly but was so sad when I reached the end. The characters are amazing and I could relate to bits and pieces of the characters. I do not want to say too much because I know I would give away parts of the story. I am glad I spent my time with this book and look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

Turning The Tide is the 5th book in the awesome Eastern Shore Swingers series by Phoebe Alexander. I have loved this series so far but have to say that Turning The Tide has been. By far, my favourite book in this series. Having been ‘the woman scorned’ I wouldn’t have thought that I’d have sympathy for a man cheating on his wife and wanting to give him a massive high for doing so but this book brought out so many emotions from me. Highly respected ENT doctor, Luke Cannon has not had sex with his wife for 10 years. Not only no sex, but no touching, kissing or cuddling. Nothing. Nada. To top it off his wife Barbara is a complete grade A bitch treating him like a doormat. Her excuse – sex is to painful and she is disabled. So it’s no wonder when Luke’s patient, Cap Sheldon invites him to the swingers club he owns, Luke decides, after much persuasion to go along and see what it’s all about. His life is about to change in a major way when he meets the lovely Connie on his first visit to the club. To his horror, Luke then discovers that Connie is the new nurse his partner Jim has hired. There is a no fraternization policy at their business. That however is the least of Luke’s worries. Barbara is behaving strangely and Luke discovers major discrepancies in his finances. What follows on is a fantastic story filled with so much mystery and suspense. In a true Eastern Shore Swingers book, it’s also filled with some very HOT sex scenes. This book is a definite page turner. I was glued to it and just couldn’t put it down. I have to say that I adored the character of Luke and Connie and even though Luke is a married man, I was rooting for him to cheat on his absolute bitch of a wife. She doesn’t deserve and amazing man like Luke. This series has brought me much enjoyment in the last year and I’m so glad to read in the notes at the end of the book that the author plans to add more books to this series. They will definitely be getting added to my TBR list and I’d recommend this series to others. It’s a must read.

I give Pandora’s Price (Hart & Cole Book 3) by Sacha T. Y. Fortuné, 4 stars. *This review may contain spoilers from previous books in the series.*
More secrets exposed. More tempers flare. Can the love between Darren and Luisa survive? Or would they be better spent apart? But that’s not all. Mistakes reappear, and Darren has an event very critical event for his business right in the middle of it all. Not to mention what is going on with family and friends.
If you have been reading this series, you know just how crazy and dysfunctional the characters have been since book one. These books are very dark — there are no perfect little relationships here. All of the characters have gotten so entangled in each other’s lives. It’s not a pretty sight. But there parts that will make you happy, a few may even make you laugh. The story has so many things happening, you will never be bored. It is amazing just how much the author can put into these books. You will be put on an emotional roller coaster the whole way thru.
If you enjoy stories on relationships and just how real — and real crazy — people can be when love and family are involved, you will enjoy this book and series. It may be a little intense for those who generally read light-hearted romance though.

Pandora’s Price (Hart & Cole Book 3) by Sacha T. Y Fortune. This is a great series and all of the books play on so many emotions but Pandora’s Price is probably the best in the series. Everything comes out the cheating, lies, secrets, wants, needs the desires. The characters are at their best yet and the storyline pulls you in instantly.
