I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Having read other books in this series I had high expectations and they were met with every turning page. You can read this story without having read other stories in this series, but it’s my advice to read the other books because they are exceptional. The author does an amazing job bringing you into the story with vivid detail. This story take us on a journey with Leda when she travels to America for a year and we experience obstacles that come with being an immigrant. There were things that I probably would have never thought of being a challenge had I not read this story, it definitely gave me a better understanding and new perspective that I wouldn’t have otherwise known since I haven’t traveled away from this country at any length. I loved that I got so have small moments with some of the characters from the other books and also meeting new ones. I highly recommend this book and this author.
