The Immigrant: An Italian in America (Woman Scientist Novel) is book one in The Italian Saga by Gaia B. Amman. Such a clever author who adds excitement, adventure and edginess to every story written. Reading a story by this author is like a lucky dip. You are never sure of what to expect, but you know it will be a thrill.

The journey continues for Leda. She is bound for America, on a quest for a cure. But as per usual, things change, and Leda is swept up in adventure, competitiveness and the unknown. This story continues from Leda’s childhood, where readers witnessed her grow and tackle each new challenge with sass, enthusiasm and awe. This story was the ultimate escape and one I thoroughly recommend. 4 stars.
