The Vampire Queen (Wheel Of Crowns Book 3) by Brandi Elledge

5-stars

The Vampire Queen is book three in this amazing and exciting series. It cannot be read as a standalone and picks up where book two ends. The novels main characters are Tandi and Stephan who are originally introduced in the first two books. Tandi is turned into a vamp by Stephan, the Prince of Vampires, and has a uniqueness not seen in other vamps. She has more of her humanity in place still. An old flame of Stephans, who happens to be the Queen of Vampires, becomes jealous of her and sets out to cause trouble why the two work to avenge the death of a friend and find one of the coveted keys.

Tandi was a magnificently created character. I loved her witty comments and her personality. Stephan was portrayed as tough but that seemed to be a front to hide his feelings for Tandi. I immediately did not like the queen. She fit the antagonist role well.

This novels storyline was easy to follow and the setting for every scene was descriptive and engaging. I think this book is my favorite thus far. I look forward to more in this series.
