Rewind by Rowan Shaw is a contemporary bisexual romance story. This is my first book by Rowan Shaw and I enjoyed the whole book. I did read it all in one sitting. The characters, Enzo and Florian became part of my book family. Enzo had so much taken away from him. He was lied to, cheated on, and an accident that took his hearing away. My heart hurt for him. When he saw Florian the friendship came back. There are some things that needs to be mended and hopefully Enzo and Florian can move on to allow one another love again. Will there be a second chance in Enzo and Florian life?

A Protector’s Touch By: Parker Sinclair 5 out of 5 stars
The story A Protector’s Touch by Parker Sinclair is a book that was very emotional to read. It pulls you in right from the beginning and I found that I didn’t want to put it down until I had finished the last page. The author has created a story that has two amazing main characters that I grew to care about with each chapter that I read. April is a young woman whose life is complicated. She is strong, intelligent and a fighter. She also finds herself with feelings towards a young man. Is he the one that will teach April to love again? Read this book to find out. While I have never experienced what April has the way that the author portrays her and how she feels about herself had me at times misty-eyed. This is a story that has both heartbreaking and heartwarming moments. There are moments that are suspenseful and had me wondering what was going to happen next. This is an author who knows how to weave a tale and create unforgettable characters. The book is one that I would recommend reading.

A great read about the past. Sorrel moves to a small town in search of a fresh start. Things are going well when she becomes a photographer for the police force and enjoys her job. But fate has other ideas for Sorrel as events unfold and a series of murders seems to revolve around her. Can you ever escape your past and build a new future? A great read. Well developed plot. Well developed characters like Sorrel standing up for herself but vulnerable underneath or Chris determined to get to the truth despite his feelings. I loved the visual detail throughout the novel like in the sense of a small town with its cobbled streets and small shops for a friendly homely feel. Or with the crime scenes with their sights and smells so vivid its as if you’re actually there. The use of mystery and suspense was drawn out to perfection to make you keep reading to find out the truth with the characters as events and details are revealed slowly to the reader. Overall, a great read and I would give it four stars.

The Last Dance is part of the Sorrel Janes Mysteries by Lonna Enox. I had not previously read any work by this author so was unsure what to expect. What I got was a very well written thriller, with a bit of romance that had me gripped from the very beginning. Sorrel Janes has moved to Saddle Gap after the murder of her husband. She’s trying to stay low key as her husband’s murder has not been solved and she may be in danger. Needless to say, life does not go to plan and she’s soon embroiled in 2 murders that have taken place in the quiet town since she arrived. Added to that, she’s a suspect in one of the murders. I loved the interaction between Sorrel and Detective Chris Reed who is investigating the murders. He’s sure she’s hiding something and he’s determined to find out what? There’s an instant sexual attraction between the 2 that they both fight to ignore, mainly due to the fact that they rub each other up the wrong way and are constantly bickering. This story is a great thriller that will keep you gripped. The characters are really well written, not just the 2 main characters but the secondary characters have a valuable role to play in the story. I really enjoyed this book and would like to read more from this series.

What a captivating story I was lost in the pages I just couldn’t set it down. The character’s really made this novel come to life and I loved how I could feel what they were feeling and also feel I was right there with them. It was a quick read but it packed a punch it was brilliant I loved every second and I can’t wait to read more from this author!

Hoosier Dad was a really enjoyable read. It is one of those stories that is just really easy to read and I found myself easily dragged into what I was reading and the story of Sarah and Rich. There was a good level of drama running throughout the story which I think was fuelled by the small town gossiping and a couple of secondary characters! The main characters were really likeable and they certainly had a good amount of chemistry, I think I anticipated a little more romance however I think how they interacted with each other did fit in with their past relationship. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I don’t think it will be the last. I liked the simplicity of the story it was nice to read a storyline that wasn’t overly complex. It was a great contemporary romance that I would definitely recommend!

Girl Trap was another enjoyable read from Cynthia Hamilton. I really like this authors writing style, I find that I am easily pulled into her stories, they have a great flow and pace and the characters are really interesting to read about. I really like Madeline, I feel like I am right there with her in the story at times working alongside her trying to solve the cases that she has. I think that her and Mike make a great team, they both work hard and won’t give in until they have solved what they need to. I enjoyed seeing them work separately as well as together in this story! There were some good twists and turns in this story, a good amount of suspense and mystery running throughout the story that had me turning the pages to see what was going to happen next. I am definitely looking forward to reading more from this author again in the future.

Devil’s Due was exciting and entertaining. It can be read as a standalone from the series. I enjoyed the character development in this novel and loved the main characters personality. Devil’s Due: Satan’s Devils MC (Colorado Chapter #3) by Manda Mellett is another wonderful addition to this series. Manda has completely spellbound me with these wonderful characters and the MC books that she writes so well. I know I am good hands whenever I see a Manda Mellett book. This series is a spinoff of the Satan’s Devils Mc Series (which I just love, love, love). I mean who doesn’t love alpha men in an MC who will do anything to keep those he loves safe and there is nothing better than watching them fall in love when they have confirmed themselves bachelors.
Manda’s stories captivates you and you are not able to put it down until you have come to the last page. Her characters pop off the page and makes them come alive as you take the journey with them. If I ever needed help they would be the first port of call that’s how vivid Manda writes them. As always there is action and loyalty, brotherhood and love, lies and deceit, and let’s not forget the steamy romances. Your emotions will be all over the place
I can’t recommend this book and the other MC books that Manda has written. They should be on your TBR lists.

Kingdom of War (Kingdom Journals Volume 4) by Tricia Copeland is a paranormal fantasy and it is a story that is easy to lose yourself in. I have not read the other books in this series but I was able to follow along nether the less but I will be finding the other books in this series and I enjoyed this one so much. This story has everything you need to keep you enthralled. There is action and danger, lies and deceit, vampires and witches, fairies and angels just to name a few. This is part four of the series where the group known as the Trinity come into their powers and must face off against their biggest enemies or lose a world as they know it.
Hunter struggles with his new found power and worries that the son may become the father. He is a natural born leader and is having trouble not compelling people to do as he asks and work with the others of the group to stop evil.

Bowled: Facing the Yorker of Love (To Love a Sportsman Book 1) by Pamela Q. Fernandes is a sweet sports romance story. The plot was solid and it was easy to read and I read it in one sitting. There were times I wanted to shake the characters, for smart people they would do stupid things or be in the wrong circumstance and because of this it frustrated me no end. I wanted to yell at them to wisen up.
Rose decided to cross the continent and follow her heart but what she found was someone who was a nasty human being. On the plus side she found someone who may just fill her heart.
Matthew is still reeling from his last relationship and how he is perceived in the limelight. But when one sassy beautiful woman comes to stay, he can’t help but hope for more.

Devil’s Due: Satan’s Devils MC Colorado Chapter is book #3 by Manda Mellett. This series just gets better, every time. Devil’s Due was unputdownable and insatiably good. The story had a delicious edge, and the characters were brilliantly formed and delightfully complex. Smooth was the flow and dazzling was the creative style of writing. The drama the characters dealt with was brilliantly portrayed and I became blissfully lost in them almost instantly. I was carried away in the storm that was this story and loved every minute of it. 5 stars.

The Brass Compass is a wonderfully written historical fiction with a little romance. I absolutely love historical fiction and this book is definitely now on my favorites list.I had a hard time putting it down once I started reading. I found myself lost in the pages and I felt as if I was there .Lily Saint James is a smart intelligent woman who finds herself in a situation where her position is compromised and must escape. Get ready to be taken on one heck of a journey where you will find yourself on the edge of your seat trying to figure out what happens. I highly recommend reading this book. I can’t wait to read what she brings us next.

Steele Resolve is the 6th book in the Hawke Family series. I have absolutely loved this series since book 1. This book does not disappoint in the character development and relationships they have with each other. I loved how Luca really found his way in the story. We get to see Byron receive his HEA. Although this story is a bit out of normal reading, I felt that this story did a great job at wrapping up Luca’s and the Hawke family’s conflict. Gwyn McNamee does a fantastic job of developing her characters and pulling in her readers right at the beginning. From the first page, I was pulled into the world that Gwyn created!

Wow I completely and thoroughly loved this book. Before reading this I had no idea how many different ways people can be prejudice and from so many different people in ones life. This book was very eye opening. Reading about Enzo and Florian’s experiences and their up and down relationship kept me captivated so much so that I couldn’t put this book down. This is the first book I have read by this author and I’m ecstatic that I decided to read it because it is truly an amazing story. The author did an exceptional job keeping the story flowing nicely and creating great characters. I highly recommend this book. I can’t wait to read the next book

Wayward is the first book in the Billionaire Bodyguards series. It takes place during the same time as the Torzial Affair series. It features Jay and Sasha as the main characters. Once again this author amazes me with how action packed and easy to follow her storyline is. I loved the steamy scenes as well. I loved learning about Sasha and her background. I cant imagine the heartache she felt from her father not claiming her and trying to kill her. This was such a wonderful book and I cant wait to read more in this series.

Totally different type of story for me. I love a good mystery and this one had me stumped until the end, I had no idea! Usually I can pinpoint the who or the why, but this one had me guessing until the end and that made me love it more. With a different reason for being in town, Sorrel was just full of sass and headstrong even with all shes been through.
I really enjoyed this and while it has romantic little undertones, it didn’t take away from this story at all. Its a mystery with a little sprinkle of a budding romance. Must read!

Smoke & Mirrors by C.L. Schneider is the third book in her Nite Fire series! Finally! It was a long wait for Dahlia Nite’s next challenging case! You absolutely need to read the stories in the order as otherwise you’ll be lost as you don’t know Dahlia’s story … Dahlia and her human partner Alex Creed are following the trail of random body parts that were discovered along a river bank that had recently flooded. It is a puzzling case as Dahlia cannot figure out why there are body parts of other world creatures in the mix … so once again Dahlia is forced to straddle both the human world and the supernatural world and as we all know then these encounters always have consequences … I cannot wait for the next instalment as the writer leaves us craving for what comes next!

The Good Neighbors by Kiersten Modglin was a gripping psychological thriller, that had me hooked from start to finish.
Have you ever sat at the end of a book and just went, what the hell… what the hell? That was me, full on, not really comprehending how the author led me by the nose. This book was even told in dual POV and still managed to mislead you and catch you off guard. Again, what the hell?… (These are good, what the hells, BTW)
At first this book read like you’re normal romance, opens pretty clean, meet the creepy neighbours and what not. But then things got crazy, I mean, there is one scene were I’m like, that just happened, that really just happened. I felt for Harper, and it really shows you how things can get out of hand in an instance. It also shows the difference in loyalties, temptation and how when two people are presented with the same situation, that there are two totally different outcomes. Pretty freaking amazing if you ask me.
I can go one and on, but even if i get into character pros and cons, I might spoil something, as everything is so intertwine that one small thing might ruin the magic of this mine twisting thriller. Cause when you get to that plot twist/bomb, you’re not going to see it coming, and you’re going to be sitting there going, what the hell!?
So overall, yes, I loved this book, and yes I am going to be checking out more books by this crazy author, and yes, this book gets my super high recommendation and my golden stamp of approval.

A High Price to Pay is the second book in Cynthia Hamilton’s Madeline Dawkins series that provides us with suspense and excitement that leaves us at the edge of our seat until we get to the end! You can read it as a standalone but I would recommend to start with the first book as you will want to know how it all started and how Madeline becomes the woman (and the PI) she is today! Madeline and Mike have ‘graduated’ from their PI internship and they start their own firm. Maddie is combining her two careers – event coordinator and PI. In the midst of Maddie organizing the most lavish weekend long birthday bash for Hollywood set she needs to solve two murders and also deal with her past when the madman she testified against and helped to put behind the bars gets out on parole … It is a great story with characters that leave an impression and you will keep looking for the next story!

Steele Resolve was a thrilling 5 star M/M read and the 6th and final book in the Hawke Family series.
Byron has a hot one night stand with a man that he didn’t think he would see again. Until he walks into the bar to meet with the Hawkes. Byron is devastated to find out who Luca is. Luca is the son of the mob boss that is enemies with the Hawkes.
How will the Hawkes feel if they find out about his night with Luca?
Things get very interesting. Luca and Byron have such a hot connection you can feel it coming off the pages. This story is told in dual POV which I really enjoyed. This is a quick read that will pull you right in. This can be read as a stand alone but your really should read from the beginning, it will help you connect with the story better. I can’t wait to read more from this author.

Children of the Future was a quick read for me. I have read other books by this author but, this was alittle different from what I’m used to. The local bus driver Telly shows up at the end of the school day and there is no one in sight. He checks the playground, the classrooms, the halls and every where he could think. The school children and teachers are all gone. He’s about to leave and he hears a sneeze. One of the school children named Billy was hiding in a small area. He seemed frightened and said he didn’t want to go and decided to hide. No one knows where all the missing kids and teachers are. All the locals come to take search shifts and look all over. Just when you think they will find the missing people, it turns out to be a dead end. Will the missing people ever be found? Will Telly give up or will he keep looking for answers?

In Wayward, the first book in the Billionaire Bodyguards series by author Via Mari we are taken back into the world built in the Prestian series and the Torzial Affair. This time around it’s Jay, the head of security for Chase and Brian, and Russian ballerina, Sasha, whom we met in the earlier Torzial books. Once again, the main characters find themselves in situations that are both gripping and suspenseful and lend to the page turning action of situations that may not always be as they initially seem. While this can be read as a standalone, I believe that it would be better to be read after the other two series. I really enjoyed this story, I liked Jay and how he was so in awe of Sasha from the beginning. I admired Sasha for her strength and determination throughout the story and that’s saying a lot since I really didn’t like her in the Torzial books. I look forward to the next book to see what is going to happen next to these intriguing characters.

I’m not sure if this is my favorite of the series because; it is a full bodied novella that I was able to read from beginning to end in a short amount of time – or because we get to see what makes two characters click – or because we get to visit with previous characters. Well it doesn’t matter why, as long as we know it is.
This book moves at a great pace with abbreviated details which I very much appreciated. Even though this is part of a series, I truly believe that it can be read as a stand-alone as long as you know that it is about shape shifters and magic and witches.
I absolutely recommend this story, this series and this author.

Jane Suen is a new author to me, and I was defiantly not disappointed with this read! This was a quick read that had a lot going on. This author has created that have depth, and a storyline that is captivating and engaging. This book keeps you thinking for long after you have finished and it really makes you stop and think!
I couldn’t stop turning the pages with this read, it’s definitely a unique, interesting and an imaginative read! This is also a book that as you read you try and mentally work out how things are going to play out with the mystery and suspense that was surrounding this book you also find yourself on the edge of your seat wondering whether what you think will happen, actually happen!
This was an incredible book that should not be missed! I highly recommend that you take the chance to read this boom and really enjoy it!

The Brass Compass is a gripping historical novel by Ellen Butler. The heroine, Lily, is an intelligent young American woman whose youth has been spent living all around Europe. Her fluency in a number of languages and her determination to support the Allied Forces mean she is well suited to work as an OSS agent. When she fears her cover may have been blown, however, she must go on the run and fight to survive the winter as she makes her way to France, where she hopes to be safe. The story is set in 1945, but Lily’s dreams give the reader flashbacks to her past and some of the major events in WWII. Since we have recently celebrated the 75th anniversary of D Day, I was particularly interested in hearing about Lily’s involvement in that, and another character’s description of parachuting onto the beach. The Brass Compass is clearly well-researched and is very informative, whilst also being an immersive story. Butler goes into plenty of detail both in describing large, significant events and in Lily’s day-to-day life on the run. We pretty much know everything she has to eat from the start of the story and how she gets it. This is both an interesting insight into rationing and a way for us to get into her head. This book gets five stars from me. It’s a well-written, entertaining book that transports the reader back in time and sheds some light on an often-overlooked part of the history of WWII. I’d recommend it to fans of spies, survival adventures and WWII.

The Good Neighbors By: Kiersten Modglin 5 out of 5 stars
The story The Good Neighbors by Kiersten Modglin is an amazing psychological thriller that I loved reading. It pulled me in from the very beginning and kept me on the edge of my seat. The book grabbed my attention and didn’t let go until I had finished the final page. I enjoyed reading about the characters of Bryant and Harper Page. They have just purchased and moved to Lancaster Mills. They however find their next-door neighbors a bit strange. They still make an effort to be neighborly and friendly even though their first encounter with their neighbors is anything but a warm welcome. Jason and Tori Fuller seem to be the perfect couple, both in their looks and their home. The Fuller’s also seemed to have secrets. When strange occurrences start to happen at the Page home, Bryan and Harper wonder who could be behind them. Are their neighbors dangerous? What does the future hold for Bryan and Harper? Read this book to find out. This is a story that had me turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. It is a book that has emotional dialogue and intense scenes. The way that the author has written the story I felt like I was right there with the characters. This is a story that I would highly recommend reading.

The story Gumshoe And The Mysterious Mushrooms (Gumshoe Mysteries Book 1) by Laura Hawks is a YA mystery/fantasy book. It is amazing to read, and I found myself not able to put it down until I had finished the final page. I loved the characters of Mia Thomas and Gumshoe. Mia has just turned 15 years old. She has a kind heart, determination, and good instincts. So much is happening on her special day. She sets out to clear her family name and from financial ruin. Will she succeed? Gumshoe is Mia’s familiar. He drinks coffee and wine along with helping Mia with her investigation. Will Gumshoe and Mia find out the truth behind what is happening to her family? Is Mia in danger from her investigation? What does their future hold? Read this book to find out. This is a story that is entertaining from beginning to end. There is mystery and I felt like I was right there with Mia and Gumshoe trying to put the clues together. I enjoyed reading about the interactions between the additional characters had with Mia. Mia and Gumshoe are characters that I grew to care about with each chapter that I read. This is a book that had me turning pages to find out what happened next and how it all would end. Highly recommended.

This is a young adult story that I enjoyed from beginning to end. It is a well written story that is creative and engaging. The characters are connectable and I enjoyed one being a cat. It’s Mia’s birthday but her life is about to change among them, a stray cat starts talking to her. What will happen when they try to clear her family name? Will it become a game of survival? I enjoyed Mia and Gumshoe, they are fun and bring the story to life. I highly recommend this book.

I loved this! I was pulled in right from the start with this story. The twists and turns had me sitting on the edge of my seat just waiting to see what would happen next. The characters were great, they each had a part and they were well played. Harper and Bryant have a new home and a new start. Then they got to meet their neighbors and things are about to change. Things may not be as they seem, something is off with them. I highly recommend you find out what happens, a must read.
