Into Pieces is the conclusion to Jasmine and Angel’s story. This time around, Banks lets out all the demons that could possibly break Jasmine and Angel, together and separately. Their pasts are hard to read about but the story as a whole is easy to read as the plot moves quickly and sometimes unexpectedly. Banks ended the first book in this series with a twisted cliffhanger and this one is no different. I loved how even though this was Jasmine and Angel’s story we get to read about how Kris and Chase may one day get together! They are pretty hot themselves.
I recommend this story and can’t wait to read more about in this series and any other stories Banks may write!

To say I’m a sucker for single dad romances is an understatement. I LOVE THEM and this one definitely didn’t disappoint!
This is a story about Brian, a widow and has 2 girls, and Tess who is a songwriter who stumbles upon an ad looking for a nanny. The intensity between the two sizzled off the pages. I was completely hooked from the first page and kept thinking about the characters well after I finished the book. The story had all the feels that you want in a good romance with a splash of humor thrown in there.
I’m completely hooked now on this series and it’ll be a definite one-click for me!

I enjoyed this book as much as the previous one in this series by this author. This story is steamy romance with sitting on the edge of your seat suspense. This is a creative, well written story that pulled me in right from the beginning. The characters fun banter back and forth made the story engaging and feel real. I enjoyed how at first they haven’t met yet but the chemistry when they do meet is out of this world. Sometimes plans don’t go as planned. I highly recommend this book.

This is the third book in this series, I loved it just as much as the previous two. I highly suggest reading this series from the beginning to help enrich your enjoyment. Once again, this author pulled me right into the story and turning pages fast. In this story, he has been gone for eight years giving her no reason. Now that he is back, he is ready to claim her. But will it be that easy? Their story is an emotional roller coaster ride that will keep you reading until the end. A must read.

Fools Rush In is the third book in the Interstellar Rescue Series by Donna S.Frelick. I was hooked from the beginning and had a hard time putting it down. I will say this can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading the first two books as well. I must say the more Science Fiction/Romance I read the more I love the genre .Get ready for some action with a side of danger and romance. Captain Sam and Rayna, she’s a stubborn yet strong woman who is on a slave ship that’s liberated by Sam . Captain Sam and Rayna definitely have an attraction to each other. Can she get Sam to help her? Are they willing to take a chance on each other Find out what happens next in this fast paced story.I highly recommend reading not just this book but the series as well. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

September Breeze (A Cinnamon Bay Romance Book 2) by Nikki Lynn Barrett is one of my favourites this year. It just hits you in all the right places and makes you feel. This story really touched my heart and I laughed and cried. It is an emotional read but Nikki does it so well. She is just a talented writer in this genre.
Tess needed a temporary place to stay for her current job. When she is handed an ad by one of the three meddling town gossips, the curious part of her would not let it go. What she found was so much more than she was expecting.
Brian and his girls needed help but they could not get the help to stay that is until one talented woman curiosity got the better of her. However, when things take a turn for the worse he wonders if they will ever see her again.
OMG you have to grab a copy and have a beautiful journey for two lonely hearts.

Surviving Wrath (The Deadliest Sin Series Book 3) by Gwyn McNamee is a fast paced short novella but don’t let that fool you, there is so much going on that you are glued to it, just trying to hang on for the ride. The last book ended in a cliff hanger, so I was excited to get my hands on this one as I enjoy Gwyn’s stories.
Rea is still in hiding but this night is not like any night before, this night will see her in the hands of a predator, this night will end with her heart breaking with all she has gone through in the last couple of years.
This is the last book to this series and I am sad to see it end. I so look forward to what Gwyn brings us next.

Al Capone at the Blanche Hotel by Linda Bennett Pennell is a unique historical tale where we are taken back through and alternate between two time periods, 1930 and 2011. The story of Al Capone and the goings on at the Blanche Hotel and the way people where dealt with back in those times just broke my heart. Linda presented us with something that was both interesting and original and captivating. The story is full of suspense and danger, death and tragedy, angst and love.
Even though the story is supposed to be about Al Capone it was more about what happened in the town and other people and the evil doings of the KKK and law enforcement officers and the woman who went on the search for the truth. What this woman found was more than she ever expected.

O-M-G!!! What a phenomenal read! I was completely captivated by this book from the very first page! This author truly does know how to capture my attention and keep it until the very last word. I thought I loved book 1 in the series but Ms McNamee took this story to a completely different level – I think it is definitely in my top 5 reads of 2019, if not my favourite! I probably shouldn’t have liked Cutter, I mean he wasn’t the nicest of characters but I couldn’t help myself, there was just something that drew me to him straight away. Valentina was a great female lead, I kind of expected her to be a little naive but she wasn’t at all – she could definitely stand her ground! I almost wish I had never read this story just so I can go back and start it all over again! Fantastic characters, great storyline and a twist that I absolutely did NOT expect! I absolutely loved this book and I cannot recommend it enough!!!

A Divided Mind was a really interesting read, not my usual go to book but I had seen a few recommendations for the story so thought I would give it a go. The author kept me on my toes the whole way through the story and the alternating POV’s meant that I got the story from different angles which was great – there was a real depth to the story. I thought the author portrayed mental health really well in the story, there were no cliché’s which I have come across before it was a raw, emotional story of a young person’s struggles and how these struggles impact both him and his family around him. This is definitely a story that makes you think and with mental health a subject now that is being talked about more and more I think this story really does have a place. I really enjoyed reading it even if hard at times and I think they author really did do a great job with the story as a whole. I definitely recommend it to others.

The story Fisher Men X-ing Lines (Fisher Men Book II) by Rebel Nicks O’Dey is a romantic comedy. It is a story that put a smile on my face and had me laughing out loud. The book pulled me in right from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. I loved reading about the two main characters. They communicate with each other through witty bantering and sometimes dirty talking. There is an attraction that keeps getting stronger. They have chemistry. What will happen when they meet in real life? What does the future hold for them? Read this book to find out. This story has moments that make you sad and other moments when you wonder what is going to happen next. It is a book that has romantic scenes that are steamy and make the temperature in the room rise. I loved the main female character as she is strong, independent, and intelligent. She also is kind and empathetic. She is a character that I was rooting for to find happiness. I enjoyed reading about many of the additional characters that are introduced. As this is the second book in a series some of the characters are familiar from the first book. I personally would read the books in order. Don’t miss out on a wonderfully written story that has amazing characters. I highly recommend it.

The story Collision (Shattered Hearts Book 3) by Nicole Banks is a romantic suspense book. It is a story that draws you in and doesn’t let you go until the final page. It is the third book in a series that I have loved reading since the first story. I loved reading Kris’s story and of the one that has been gone for eight years. Kris is a woman who is strong, intelligent, and independent. She has learned to mourn the loss she felt when he left and move on. He is back. So are all the feelings that she had for him. He left her without a goodbye. That is a regret that he has always had. Now he is back and wants to reclaim what is his. Will Kris give him another chance? What does the future hold for him and Kris? Read this book to find out. This is a story that is emotional and had my emotions going up and down the entire time. It is also a book that is suspenseful and had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. Many of the characters that are in this story are familiar as they have been brought forward from the first two books. I enjoyed reading about the interactions between them and Kris. Reading has always been a great love of mine right after my love of music. Each song written is a story waiting to be told. Which, along with my over active imagination fueled my desire to write about the chaos that goes on in my head.
I love stringing words together. I love making people get lost in a story and connecting with fictional characters that remind them of someone they know.
I published my first book Shattered in 2013. It’s the first installment in the Shattered Hearts Series.
Shattered started out as an assignment for a college course I took at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. After I graduated college I went through my old papers and reconnected with the story morphing into so much more then what I wrote in my college course.

Truck Stopped by Manda Mellet is the eleventh book in the Satan’s Devil’s MC series.
I haven’t read all of them but have throughly enjoyed each of the ones I have read with this one being one of my favorites. Truck and Ally’s story grabbed me from the very beginning. They went through so much even before they met and it unfortunately didn’t end when they met.
Truck is a great man with some bad luck. There was a childhood drama, he went on to served in the military and after being discharged was a firefighter. He has a tough time adjusting to life after everything but there was one bright spot and that was Ally.
Ally’s life wasn’t anything I would wish on my worse enemy. She did what she had to do and got lucky when she meets the Satan’s Devil’s .
There were lots of ups and down throughout this book. I caught myself holding my breath waiting for the other shoe to drop several times, but I don’t think it would have worked for Truck and Ally any other way.
I get the feeling this may be the last of the Tucson branch but I hope not the end of the series. I will be going back to catch up on the entire series in all of the branches.

Wow! This book was fantastic! This is the third book in The Torzial Affair series and it is also the conclusion to the series. This book was a great way to end the series and I’m sad to see it go but it made an amazing and lasting impression. This book has it all… suspense, romance, danger and mystery! I love the main characters Brian and Jenny. Brian’s love was so strong for Jenny, he would do anything for her and he definitely showed that in this book. Jenny has had a hard life and the secrets she knows only make it harder. With the mob out to get her will Jenny be able to survive or will she get caught in the cross hairs? I am looking forward to reading more by this amazing author and I would recommend this series to a friend! Happy Reading!

Dangerously Close To Extinction (Knollville Legends Book 1) by C.A. King was a pretty okay read that kept me reading.
The first book in a new fun series, I went in with an open mind and excitement. As an avid reader of this authors works I knew I was in for something original, twisted and action packed. I will say that this book hit most points, but it did, for me, lacked a little when it came to the romance. But I think that more so had to do with the fact this book is a pretty short read. Coming in at 184 pages, there was a lot packed into this wonder, so I believe the love-development might have suffered because of that. To be a little blunt, it felt forced and a little off balanced, but I believe and hope that as this series goes on, it will even out. Just needs a bit more time for it to fully become believable.
Overall this book is worth your time and the read. It’s well written, well built, and it will hook you. It has a strong plot, that stands on its own, and the action and shifter lore was on point. To end, this book gets my high recommendation and my stamp of approval.

Another amazing, yet also disturbing read from Meghan O’Flynn. This one was definitely a doozy for me. And I highly suggest not reading this before or after eating. I really liked the concept of this story, it was so different than anything I’ve ever read. What lengths would you go to in times of starvation and dehydration? This takes you on quite the ride. If you’re looking for something different to read, pick up this book.
The Traitor (An Underground Bad Boys Romance Book 2) by India Kells. I flipping LOVED this story! I love India Kells so anytime I see her name attached to a book I’m reading it. This is the story of Spencer Knox who because of a life living on the streets turned into him working his way up in the Underground but his conscience wouldn’t let him keep doing it. He eventually turns on them and helps take them down. Now he’s a very wanted guy. He moves to a small town where he buys a garage and works there trying to forget how he is now a “Traitor”. One day on his way to work he sees a beautiful girl walking to the shop from the Lake which is where he lives. He calls her the Lady from the Lake but her name is Josie Baird who is running from her own past. Her abusive ex husband has black mailed her into paying all his bills before he would give her a divorce so she’s flat broke and starting from scratch as well. Josie is very proud and doesn’t want hand out from anyone so when Spencer stops to pick her up during a blizzard and take her home she hesitates. He finally convinces her and he takes her to his house that he shares with his friend Gage. Gage has come to help Spencer with the garage and they are both attracted to Josie. This is where the it gets hot up in here! I don’t want to say to much else to ruin the book for you but do yourself a favor and read this book! You will love it!

Fools Rush In (Interstellar Rescue Series Book 3) by Donna S. Frelick. This is the 3rd book in this series but it’s actually a prequel so it can be read as a standalone. I really enjoyed this book. Its the story of Interstellar Rescue “conductor” Rayna Carver who is deep undercover on a slave ship in space. Captain Sam Murphy is a space pirate with a love for saving slaver ships. Rayna has to try to convince Sam to help her continue her mission. When they meet sparks fly and chemistry is hot! This book is set mainly in Space where the others in this series are mainly on Earth which gives a whole new spin on things. Rayna is a very independent woman and has trouble asking for or taking help. There are tons of battles with both Rayna and Sam getting beat up but they seem to always help each other. Will Rayna and Sam save people from being taken from Earth to be used as Slaves in Space or will they end up battling each other to the point of losing the war. Ice Crown (The Elements of Kamdaria Book 1) is written by Kay L Moody. This is a series to get your YA fantasy going. It is a novella which means to me that there is a bit of the story that is still out there but Ms. Moody let my imagination run with the story. The story has a feel like the Avatar, The Last Air Bender like feel to it. It has magic, action, adventure, and mystery all in the story line. This book kept my interest and at the edge of my seat. This story is about Talise. She is a shapeshifter who is about to enter in a competition to show off her talent. The main problem is if you do not win you will die. The other problem for Talise is that her loved one lives in the Crown. So now she is torn. Does she compete or does she stay in Storm for her loved one? I cannot wait to see what book 2 has in store.

Each of these books can be read as stand-alone a however there is a lot of character crossovers and background details that are best when read from the start. This is such a fantastic series! It takes a lot to hold my attention for a span of 10+ books and yet Manda Mellett has so far done it with ease. Yet again this book is full of intense and interesting characters. The story is so emotional. With this one being the last of this chapter I knew it would be and yet I still wasn’t prepared for how powerful this story was. Even though I have only just finished the book I already cannot wait to read it again – as well as the whole series. You really do need to do yourself a favour and read these books. You will not be disappointed.

Al Capone at the Blanche Hotel by Linda Bennett Pennell exceeded all my expectations. This is my first read from Linda Bennett Pennell, so I really didn’t know what I would be in for. I was drawn to the book by its title, as I love all things crime related, and I’m a bit of a history buff too. I thought the story would make a great pallet cleanser between darker reads, which it definitely was- but it was also a surprisingly intriguing, and deftly woven story. The author has created a complex story, visiting two different time periods, with several different characters, and choreographing the whole thing seamlessly. The multi-faceted story transitions from modern day back to the 1930’s- painting a rich and textured picture of the times. The characters are really well developed and very interesting. And I enjoyed how even though they were from vastly different times, they were connected by the same infamous character. The authors love of the past, history, characters, and a great story- really shines through her writing- and I am really looking forward to seeing what she does next.

This is the first book that I have read from this author and I was truly blown away. The story is about a boy who is diagnosed with schizophrenia and his family’s struggle to deal with it, especially his mother. It is a gripping and harrowing tale of what a schizophrenic goes through. The author describes in detail the delusions, confusion and sometimes terror of what they see and feel.
Someone I love is schizophrenic so this story hit close to home. I can fully understand what Tara was going through. The feelings of helplessness and longing to help the person yet knowing there is nothing that you can do. Watching a loved one fight their own mind and struggle for sanity.
This book is extremely well written. The author really hit the nail on its head. There are constant twists and turns. Forewarning: this is not a happy story but the bare reality of an agonizing disease. I was nervous about reading this book but I’m so glad that I did.

ETERNITY is is the final book in the series and I think it should be read in order as each book picks up where the last one ended.
The entire Captivity Series flows quickly from the beginning to end. It moves quickly with the continuing threads being highlighted through each. The series is well plotted and entertaining.

This book was a little frustrating for me. It takes so long to get to the reasons why the MCs feel and deal the way they do. The events for both main protagonists are openly alluded to and we get to see their turmoil through their internal dialog.
“Woman love a hero almost as much as they love a man who is broken.”
Gwen is a strong independent woman who is running away from her past. Joe is a big bag biker who is NOT his past and is working towards redemption.

Another great book from a great author. Via Mari never disappoints. I started out reading the prestian series and I was hooked and now that I’m reading this series she is quickly becoming one one my favorite authors. There is action, danger, friendship, romance, steamy moments and so much more. I get so drawn into these stories that I become invested in the outcome of the characters. The author weaves such an exceptional storyline that I was unable to put this book down. I love reading Jenny and Brian’s story, I just can’t get enough. After everything that Jenny has been through I can’t help but want Brian to be able to fix it all. I highly recommend this book if you want to know what happens. This is an awesome series!

Monty and the Monster is the exact kind of book I would have loved when I was younger. I am looking forward to sharing this book with my children when they’re a bit older. Monty and the Monster was creative fun from start to finish but not without holding meaning within the story line. Great book!
