Oohhhh I love a good sports romance so when I noticed this book by an author whose work I really enjoy I couldn’t wait to get started and I wasn’t disappointed at all! It was full of sass, romance and lot of spiciness!! This story definitely had me laughing my way through it! The banter between Roy and Patience certainly kept me entertained from beginning to end; they definitely knew how to rub each other up the wrong way!! Right from the very beginning they just didn’t get on but it didn’t take long to see that there was going to be something there between them – I know I was rooting for them the whole way through! I am really looking forward to reading more from this author in the future – she has a wonderful writing style that makes her books a real pleasure to read! I definitely recommend The Player!!

Fantasy isn’t a genre I typically read but the blurb kind of jumped out at me so I decided to give the book a go and I really enjoyed it. It was nice to go into a story without any real expectations, I didn’t know whether it would enjoy it or not – but I am glad that I decided to read it. I really enjoyed the authors writing, I found I was easily drawn in to what I was reading – the world building I found to be particularly good! Detailed and vivid! The characters were so different to what I usually read and I really enjoyed their uniqueness – I could tell the author had spent a lot of time planning their development and how they would evolve over the story! I would definitely recommend this book and I am definitely looking forward to reading more from the author again in the future!

This is the second book that I have read by this author and again it was another great read. The genre of this story isn’t one of my favourites but I love finding new authors and I enjoyed the first book in the series so thought I would give the second one a try. I can see an improvement in the authors writing as well (not that his debut novel was bad it definitely wasn’t) but as with most authors the more they write improvements are noticed! I loved the detailed writing of the setting of the story it really enabled me to imagine what was happening in the story. The characters were really well developed and I really liked the relationship that they had between them, they were all really relatable in my opinion. The rich and complex storyline kept my interest throughout! Overall I thought that this was a wonderful read and a great addition to the series! I will definitely be looking out for more from this author in the future!

I think I probably say it every time that I read a new book by this author but this is definitely my favourite by her so far! I was hooked from beginning to end and I honestly could not turn the pages fast enough! The action starts straight away in this fantastic romantic suspense story! I loved the characters Keegan and Kara! The sparks between these two as well as the danger and action unfolding in their surroundings of Venezuela made for one very exciting read! Marked for Death could be read as a standalone but I absolutely would recommend reading the series in order just to fully understand the dynamics of the secondary characters. Apart from the amazing characters this author creates I just totally love her writing, it’s exciting and captivates me from the first word. I would 100% recommend Marked for Death and anything written by this wonderful author!

I find books by this author so difficult to review now because I always write the same thing but that’s because every single one of her stories is just so wonderful to read. They are always different, they explore different things and I always feel like I have learnt and take something away with me from her stories once I have finished reading them. I loved the blurb for this book it was so vague that it really felt like I was going into this story blind but as usual what I got from Ms Alexander was a wonderful main character in Abby and getting to read about her life as she navigates coming of age. I loved reading about Abby in previous stories so to now get her own book was really special, I feel like I really know her as a person. This book could be read as a standalone but I would highly recommend the Mountains series from the beginning!

Wow – just wow! I’m honestly not quite sure where to even begin with this review – this has to be hands down – the best read of 2020 and in fact one of my favourite reads ever. I don’t think I can even find the words to do this book justice! I have read all of the books this author has written and she is one of my all-time favourite authors so I already knew I was going to love it – I’m not sure that I was prepared for just how amazing it was going to be. My emotions were all over the place with this book (I’m not even sure I can blame post pregnancy hormones now seeing’s as the baby is almost 5 months old!) I laughed and I cried, I didn’t know how I would feel from one [age to the next. The characters Cade and Winter were amazing! Cade – yep totally in love with him and I may even have a woman crush on Winter! I loved the two of them together – electric and passion galore! Cade is a raw emotional read and one that will stay with me for a while – in fact it’s one I cannot wait to read all over again! I 100% recommend you one click this story today!!
This is quite an adventure. Filled with wizards, Magic and Excalibur is a retelling of a classic. While the story drew me in I struggled with the timeline of the characters. It is confusing to me and makes the story not flow very smoothly. Causing me to lose interest at times. I plugged on and the story does pick up near the end. The main character held my interest and wondering what would happen to him and the sword. There are few secondary characters who I liked and others not so much.

I will admit, I was recommended this book by the author a couple years ago as something I may like in an event, purchased it, then unfortunately forgot about. My TBR list is huge and I can stop buying. Anyway, I finally got the opportunity to read it and I can’t believe I waited so long. I would say this is a teen book, but as an adult, I enjoyed it immensely. As a cat lover, this is what drew me in and I really like Miri as a main character. She feels alone and not quite understood, but she learns more about herself and steps up when she needs to. It does have a feel of being inspired by the Harry Potter books, but the author makes it her own in the types of characters and the world she creates. There are so many other characters I am dying to learn more of as the series goes on. Then there is the story itself. Miri feels like an outcast and all alone. Most people, especially teenagers, can relate to this. She is finally able to find a place she feels more comfortable, but events happen that do not make it as easy as it seems.
If you like a world of magic and fantastic creatures and people in a young adult/teenage age group, this book is for you.

A Gentleman’s Stipulation is the fourth book in The Scarlet Salon seriesby Jean Wilde. This is my first read by Ms. Wilde, and as you have probably noticed, I have come into this series a little backwards, starting on book #4 first. When this book caught my eye, I immediately read the blurb and was quite intrigued by what the story could hold. It has been a while since I have read a regency romance, so I thought this would make a great change of pace from what I had been reading of late. I hadn’t noticed it was the fourth book in the series, but as I discovered, it can definitely be read as a standalone. Having said that though, I really enjoyed the story and will certainly be going back to read the other books in this series, too- as well as exploring Ms. Wilde’s other work/s. This is a really great historical/regency romance- it’s an enemies to lovers tale, full of drama, banter, spice, intrigue, chemistry, tension, and romance. Ms. Wilde may be a new-to-me author, but I am more than happy to have just discovered her work- as she certainly knows how to tell a cleverly woven and captivating story. Lady Victoria Gilbert is 24 and has gotten to the point where she will soon be considered as an ‘old maid’. She really needs a husband and dreams of having a home and family of her own. But she has a bit of a barbed tongue, a mind of her own, and a stubborn independent streak- which hasn’t stood in her favour. Her chances of finding a suitor are becoming slimmer by the day. Blake Hall is the wealthy son of a Mill tycoon- he has material wealth, but no title- which has set him apart from London’s High Society. He can’t stand the simpering young debutantes, he would rather a woman who would challenge him. So, you would think that when he meets Lady Victoria, it would be love at first sight. But instead, they completely rub each other the wrong way. Although I think they secretly enjoyed the verbal sparring. But what happens when they are caught in a compromising situation? All the answers you need are waiting to be discovered between the covers of “A Gentleman’s Stipulation”. Ms. Wilde has crafted her story really well- adding rich, vibrant, and authentic historical details. Her storytelling really draws you into her ‘world’ and she easily captures her readers attention. I was immersed in the story, staying engaged right through to the end. The characters are really well developed with their own unique personalities. And even though they both annoyed/frustrated me at times throughout the story- I couldn’t help but like them and was rooting for them right from the beginning. I am looking forward to exploring the rest of the series now!

A Gentleman’s Stipulation (The Scarlet Salon, #4) by Jean Wilde was a good 4 star read. I was pulled in right from the beginning. This is Lady Victoria and Blake’s story.
Victoria is 24 and really wants a husband and family, at her age she is considered a spinster. Then she meets Blake at a party, he’s the son of a tycoon and let’s just say there wasn’t any love lost between them. This is a good love and hate story but you could feel the attraction between them. While at another party something happens that unexpectedly brings them together and they have to marry.
Can these two put their hate aside and actually find love? Will they make it to the altar?
Overall I enjoyed this book. I really liked Victoria, she is a strong character who isn’t afraid to say what’s on her mind. Blake has been hurt in the past and is very cautious. The bantering between these two was great. I look forward to reading more from this author and series. 1-click and get started today.

I absolutely loved reading this one and I don’t care that it’s for young adults because at 32, I love a good read and this was definitely that. We follow Brigit in college but she has to do something to prove her innocence and she’s totally bad-ass at doing it as she does things her way. Someone has falsely accused her of doing detest actions that don’t fit her character and she’s out to clear her name to the university. Even worse, as a fairy, she owes a debt to her doppleganger as she has to unravel what’s leering in the library. Whatever it is, it’s haunting the books she loves which is all the ammunition she needs to put an end to this thing’s reign of terror. Since the administration at the university, Brigit and her friends will do what they must to put an end to it. Brigit’s friends have unique gifts of their own to unravel the mysteries before them which makes this book juicier. Logan can recognize the truth within the blink of an eye and gamer girl Emma may know more than she’s letting on. The ghosts of the school are even on the side of the good but the evil force may be way more powerful than they initially thought.

Default Distraction is a chart-topping band with let me just put this lightly, major success. We follow drummer and a Morello, son of a Mafia boss, we see Cade expose a more vulnerable side to himself. We find that Cade Morello is running from something that happened in the life but hasn’t looked back since. Cade finds himself falling for the band’s lead guitarist’s little sister who has grown up right before his eyes who he thinks will freeze him out. He has to prove his love for her to show her it’s legit. With every sense of his being, he knows it’s real and he’s in it for the long run. He’s down for the ride no matter where it takes him. The problem with their love is they’re from two different worlds, two different countries and the world tells them it won’t work and it won’t make sense. She’s a boss of her own: Keeping her business in check, pushing orders, and living her way on her own time. This is a world she embraces. The difference with her and Cade is she’s not willing to lay down her guard while he’s putting it all on the table. She believes he’s too much to handle for her. In this ride of a story, it’s exciting and unpredictable but worth the risk to delve into these character’s lives. Such a fun and interesting read. I couldn’t wait to get through the book just to review it. One of the best books I’ve read in a minute. I highly recommend it!

But there is a darkness that threatens all that. It will be interesting to see where Debbie takes us next as the story is open to many possibilities.

The Scene (Dylan Hart Book 1) by R.M. Gilmore is slow to grow on you but once you got going couldn’t put it down kind of read. Some of the characters you loved to hate and others like Dylan were down to earth and oh so sassy and bad mouthed. I loved her and found myself laughing at her and her ballsy attitude. I don’t know what I expected but RM definitely keeps you on your toes right throughout and delivers a little gem. I am now about to head on to book 2 and see what delights and trouble Dylan finds herself in once again.

5 Star P.A.W.S. (The P.A.W.S. Saga, Book 1) by Debbie Manber Kupfer P.A.W.S. is the first Book in The P.A.W.S Saga by Debbie Manber Kupfer . This is my first read by this but I can definitely tell you it won’t be my last. This is a supernatural/ YA/Fantasy book that once I started reading I couldn’t put it down.Miri receives a silver cat charm ,it has more power than what she realizes .She finds herself on a mysterious journey that has some surprises along the way. Find out what happens next in this must read. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

5 Star All The Wrong Reasons (Serendipity Falls Novel Book 1) by Erin Bevan is a romantic comedy that I loved reading I loved the characters if Alex and Max. They are best friends but are both faced with having to marry so why not get married for convenience it makes the most sense. Alex finds herself pregnant and about to loose her job and he finds himself needing to put his playboy ways behind him I loved these two. They had me laughing at times and others I was shaking my head at them. Will they get what they both want and need? Find out what happens next in this absolute must read. I look forward to reading more from this Author .

A Study in Spirits by Byrd Nash is the second book in A College Fae Magic series. The author says there will be four books in the series, one for each year of school. This is a fairly short, quick read but the author accomplishes a lot in those pages. In this book Brigit has been accused of stealing answers and vandalism. With her friends she must clear her name or be expelled from school. I enjoyed the characters of Brigit and Logan as well as the secondary characters in the story. This is a nice get away from the day to day isolation from being at home giving out a bit of magic to all of us. I look forward to reading more in this series.

A Study in Spirits (College Fae book #2) by Byrd Nash. This is the second book in this series and I think it’s even better than the first. I’m not a huge fantasy fan but these books are the exception. I loved the first one and I believe I loved this one even more. Its the continuing story of Brigit who is a student at Leopold Otto University and if she wants to continue to be a student there she needs to prove that she is not the person stealing & changing test results. With her friend Logan and his ability to recognize the truth and their new friend Emma who may hold the key to the whole mystery they are determined to find solve this. This monster is destroying Brigit’s much loved books and she is determined to stop it not only to prove herself not guilty but to catch this horrible culprit. We meet some new friends as well in this book and they definitely add to the story. Will these monsters prove to difficult to stop or will Brigit and Logan be able to stop them before its too late? Romance in Rehoboth Boxed Set (Books #1 to 3) is a present from K.L. Montgomery to all her avid fans – you can simply have all three first books in one nice set, making it easy to lose yourself into hours and hours of goodness! You could read all the books as standalones but getting them as a book set makes this point moot as you will read all of them! The set includes Music Man (Book 1), The Flip (Book 2) and Plot Twist (Book 3). The whole series gives us stories that are about how to love oneself, what happens when you follow your dreams (or do not), and how does it feel to find the other half of your soul. The first book – Music Man – is Jack and Clare’s poignant story about what you do when your moment in the limelight arrives when you are already settled in another kind of life and have found a woman that is the other half of your soul. The second book – The Flip – is the story of Andrew and Sonnet who have hated each other since high school. It takes 10 years for them to come to the point where they have to come together in honouring someone’s bequest and what a journey it starts them on! The third book – Plot Twist – this is the crazy story of Meric Chandler and Lindy Larson filled with music and backstage romance and I have to say that Lindy is probably the one out of all three heroines that I could most relate with. You will not go astray by picking up the set and losing yourself into the Rehoboth Beach, Delaware with independent heroines and down-to-earth men that have to work hard to earn their love!

Initially I found the writing style a little challenging to get into, however after the first couple of chapters I caught the flow. Of course, then I couldn’t put it down. Of Magic and Scales is a meandering mystery story It takes it’s time and introduces several magical creatures along the way. Aiden trying to come to terms with himself added dimension to the story. And, Naël is someone you kind of love to hate. He is irritating and rude, but he also cares about Aiden in his own way. I could really identify with Aiden’s desire to just live a low-key life without drama. Unfortunately, as in real life, you don’t always get what you wish for. Overall, I really enjoyed this story. I’m wondering if there will be another book because I would definitely read more!
P.A.W.S. (The P.A.W.S. Saga, Book 1) by Debbie Manber Kupfer was a great fantasy read.I loved the world building and history that was introduced throughout the book. The story moves through different points of view which really helps the development of the story. I found it kept my attention more so than just pages of history and world building. Miri was such a young character and I found her adorable and I had a feeling of over protectiveness.
