Accepted: Rhodes Family Book 2 by Lisa Wood is a MMF story, a complicated ménage a trois. You should read book one Shattered before you read Accepted, to understand what is happening in this story. I will admit that I was frustrated and annoyed with the characters at times and wanted to give them a swift kick up the a…… There are lots of emotions where hearts are broken, and forgiveness is not so easy to give. Can they see past their hurt and anger and let love set them free?

I thought this book was a great addition to the series and I enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend reading this series in order to get the best reading experience as possible because it picks up where book 1 left off. Ommily and Link are our main charcters and we get to see them navigate through life as part of the Guard and they fight rogue supernaturals. Alot happens in this story and it kept me on my toes. I cant wait to read more by this author in the future and I would recommend this awesome read to a friend.

A twist to the world war II story, this is a story of a young girl who is sent away from her home far away to Chicago for her own safety. As she struggles with the new society and a completely different culture, she meets a young man, who first detests her opinions and later they begin liking each other. As the war progresses, things around them change, and with US on the brink of war, the normal people’s lives get affected. Children are pressurized to serve and after the attach of Pearl Harbor, things get drastically changed. How this turn of events affects the young couple’s life forms the crux of the story. It is a good story, albeit I found it a little slow at times. But overall, it is a good story for historic fiction. I liked it.

You will definitely want to read the first book in the series before reading this one.
I love this series because it’s such a refreshing but dark twist on a fantasy book that has witches, danger, love, adventure, and so much more all rolled into one. Lady Isra is back at it causing problems, having set her eyes on a good witch Contessia to make her stray from all the goodness she believes in. The characters Miss Sravenheart shares in this book keep your attention and help you relate to them.

Wow! The Saint of Liars (The Lucky Devil series Book 2) by Megan Mackie was so good I read it in two sittings. Would have been one but my body betrayed me and forced me to sleep. So yes, it was that good. Excellent world crafting in this story as always. This one came with a new twist, not only do you get the clear visual of the magical world there is a new digital world too. The relationship between St. Benedict and Rune keeps me in a dither. I think Rune knows how she feels. An excellent story with in-depth characters that I became totally immersed in. You won’t be sorry with this one.

I loved it! The Crocodile Makes No Sound (The Lord Hani Mysteries Book 2) by N.L. Holmes, was such an excellent read. This is the second book that I have read by this author. I can’t tell you how much I enjoy these books. These mystery stories set in ancient Egypt are just delightful to read from the first page to the last. Holmes crafts the story out of such beautiful use of the language. I almost forget that I’m reading a story because I get lost in her excellent writing. I almost feel like I am on those streets in Egypt. Like I’m a part of the story. An excellent story an excellent mystery and I’m already looking forward to the next one. If you love to see words used as if they were paint on a canvas this is a story for you.

I loved this book by Megan Mackie. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about the newest adventure of Rune and St Benedict. I found it exciting and there were a lot of twists and turns to reach the end. The novel kept a good pace and it kept my attention. This series is good and I look forward to reading more from Megan Mackie, especially more on Rune and St Benedict.

I have read a few books from this author and she continues to blow my mind. This is the ninth book of the amazing Rogue series. I absolutely love the rockstar romance but this author exceeded all my expectations on bringing these guys back. You can’t help but to fall in love with these guys all over again. This book could be read as a stand-alone but there are previous characters in this story as well. I was so excited when I got this book I stopped everything and started to read it immediately and I didn’t stop until the end.
Donal Whelan is the son of a famous rockstar Martin from the band Rogue. He has always been in the spotlight ever since he was a baby. Donal now has his own thing. He is a big star on his own Instagram page. Donal finds himself waking up to his cool godfather telling him they are going on a road trip. He is excited but is this trip going to be all about his godfather or is there another reason behind it? Will Donal find his own way or will he always be known as Martin’s sheltered kid?

This was a short and sweet romantic read. I read this book in one sitting and when I finished I didn’t want it to end. I became invested in Zen and Seb and wanted everything to work out for them. There is attraction and chemistry between them, but there are other factors that get in the way of these two pursuing something further. Do they find a way to see if their attraction can become more? This is a must read to find out. This author always brings a great read to the table. You will not be disappointed. I highly recommend this book.

The Saint of Liars (Lucky Devil Book 2) by Megan Mackie 4 Stars!!!!
A yet again I am drawn into the supernatural world of Megan Mackie’s design and not let down. I really found myself unable to put this book down. I just really like how the drama is really balanced. The characters really come to life and I felt as though I was right in the action with them.
I found that I could relate to Rune and could really feel the emotions she was going through. The author has done such a great job of balancing out the drama in the book and grabbing the reader’s attention. I really got drawn into the book and I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

The Dating Itinerary by Brooke Williams is an entertaining romantic comedy. Brooke is known for giving us something a little quirky and fun and this story is no different. But it’s not all fun, there are moments where there is some angst and some emotions and a little drama pulling it all together. This enemies to lovers’ story with the easy and witty banter and the slurs between these two unlikely characters will keep you drawn to the story and the pages turning as they struggle with each other and the dating scene.

Accepted by Lisa Wood is book two of the Rhodes Family series. This book should be read after book one. Due to some content, this book is recommended for readers 18+.

This book was about Ava, Thomas and Hunter. I really enjoy it when the timelines in the series are explained, this story is a parallel time line to Gabe and Olivia.
I really don’t know where to start. Ms. Wood started it off hot and it never really cooled down. Well there were a few parts but wow, there were some incredibly hot moments.
I love the interaction between the Rhodes siblings and how close they are with their parents. I can’t wait to read the next siblings story. Please let it be Liam!

Oh My God! I’m Really hoping there is going to be more books to this series. I seriously need more! This is a hot and steamy Romance that has some pretty steamy scenes. Ava, Hunter , and Thomas have been through a lot together. They have known each other since like kindergarten . I don’t want to give anything away so im just going to be very blunt. You need to read this book to find out what happens next. There is a lot of moments my heart hurt for them. There is a couple of twists I didn’t see coming. Oh and if you haven’t already read the first I highly recommend reading it first. I look forward to reading more from this Author and hopefully this series.

Reign (The Larussio Legacy Book 3) By Via Mari 5 out of 5 stars
I loved reading the book Reign (The Larussio Legacy Book 3) by Via Mari, It is a romance story that includes suspense, danger, passion, and steamy romance. I love the characters of Giovanni Larussio and Serena Morett. Serena is a strong, intelligent, and independent woman. She has fallen for Giovanni however doesn’t always follow the rules to keep her safe. She is coming to realize just what falling for a future mob boss means. Giovanni is a man who is totally in love with Serena. There is no doubt in his mind that she is his. He is determined to keep her safe, even when she at times makes decisions that make her a greater target. What does the future hold for Serena and Giovanni? Read this book to find out. This is a story that had me turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. It is also a story that has steamy romantic scenes that will make the temperature in the room rise. Reading this series, I have grown to care about Giovanni and Serena. They are a couple who deserve to have happiness. I also enjoy reading about many of the additional characters who are friends and relatives of Giovanni and Serena. I have read many books by this author and I have always looked forward to the next book that she writes. She has a wonderful way of making you feel the emotions of the characters and making them come alive on the pages. Don’t miss out on an amazing story that you will not be able to put down until you have read the final page. I highly recommend this book and the series.

With the whole country watching, Jess knows Ant is strictly off-limits and the success of her business relies on keeping things professional. Even if he makes her pulse race in the best way possible . . .
But when Ant starts to change—not in a good way—Jess finds herself questioning not only her business, but her heart, too. Could Ant be perfect just the way he is, even if he doesn’t think so?

Hero High: Heartbreak Rebellion by Mina Chara 4 Stars!!!!
I was once again diving into the super hero world and not disappointed. I really like how the author has taken the story and expanded on it. The whole concept of the super heros being filmed is quite unique. The characters really jump off of the page and draw in the reader. I was not able to put this book down.

Rune’s husband was working on a computer programme that allows you to use magic. However this programme and the code got lost when Rune and her husband James were arrested and the corporations believe Rune is the key to finding it and allowing them to become more powerful.
The only person she feels she can trust in this is St Benedict but with the lies he has told her in the past can she really trust him.

I enjoyed this book. This is my first book by this author, I look forward to reading more from this author. I found this book to be a well written story that kept me turning pages. It is engaging and entertaining. I had no problems connecting with the characters as they brought the story to life. I found myself on an emotional roller coaster through some of it. Berk has so much pain and violence in his life that it was hard not to feel for him. This is a story that takes place in the past and it was done in a manner which was very understandable. I won’t say too much about this book as I highly recommend you read it. I really enjoyed this book.

I enjoyed this romance story. This is a little different book for this author than what I normally read by her. It is a great story of love lost, found and finding out what really matters in life. This is a well developed story that is engaging and easy to read. I had no problems connecting with the characters as they made the story pop. I found them taking me on an emotional roller coaster ride that I wanted to continue. This story is made up of strong characters that made the story entertaining and pulled me in right from the beginning. Julie leaves her current life to find a better one. On her journey she finds love but is also faced with choices that could make her lose her family or the love she just found. You will have to read to see what happens to her but you don’t want to miss what happens next. I highly recommend this book and this author.

This is a long novel but the storyline flows along at a good pace and is full of drama and mystery and I was disappointed when I had finished it. This is book two in a series and we are back with Egyptian diplomat Hani. As I learnt from book one Lord Hani was an actual person although the storyline is fictional. It can be read as a standalone story but readers will understand Hani’s backstory better if you read the series. Again Hani makes a great main character, he is well defined and relatable as well as likeable and he really brings the plot together. This story takes place in Egypt during the period known as the New Kingdom. The time period is around 1346 BCE, and it’s now four years into the solo reign of Akhenaten’s solo reign and his religious ‘reforms’ are causing widespread dissatisfaction. This is especially true amongst those that practiced the old religion of Amen-Ra. Our hero Hani, is already under the kings watchful eye due to the disappearance of his Amen priest brother in law. Hani then gets drawn into an investigation involving the blackmailing of the ‘Beloved Royal Wife’. Complicating things further for Hani is the new vassal king of A’amu, who is being lodged at Hani’s house whilst waiting for the king to grant him an audience. The problem is Hani’s house guest is not proving to be very loyal to the new king. Hani is aware of his own oath to the king but must also follow his conscience. Reading this novel I felt completely immersed in the story due to the authors wonderfully detailed descriptions of both the characters and the setting, so much so I felt I could be in ancient Egypt. The authors knowledge and research shines through, all wrapped up in a great murder mystery thriller. The historical notes, list of characters and glossary of terms and places are all very fascinating and helpful especially being at the beginning of the book as this makes it easy to refer back to if needed. I was hooked from start to finish and I enjoyed the cosy mystery element of the story which kept me guessing until the end of the novel. I look forward to further books in this series.

This is one huge adventure! It really kept my interest as we go from one scene to the next. Just when I think I am getting it figured out. We go to another place and I have to start all over again. I am not complaining it just really kept me on my toes. This is filled with politics, dangerous creatures, immortals, rebellion and one guy who thinks he is God.
The characters are endless. But I loved learning and meeting each one. They all have unique traits that add to or help move the story along. As we follow Alina along her journey we see her skittishness then how it turns to confidence.
Overall this is an intriguing story. As for the characters there are a few I want to more of their story. What will happen when Zaiden arrives if ever? Will Oliver become her one? What’s up with Jade and Mae? J’koby, Camden…the list goes in. As you can see this story isn’t over. So bring on book 2!

Finding His Zen is a great short read by Tammy Mannersly. I had read another of Tammy Mannersly’s books recently (Drawn To Him) and really enjoyed it, so was looking forward to reading more of her work. Although Finding his Zen is just over 100 pages, the author has packed a great story into those 100 paged and I really enjoyed this book. Finding His Zen is a small town romance. When top swimmer Sebastian DuMont comes back to his home town to open a new leisure centre his thoughts of retiring and moving home are increased when he meets the lovely owner of the centre, Zenia Andino and is totally taken with her. She’s already a huge fan of his having had had posters on her wall as a teenager. Needless to say many obstacles are put in the way of the 2 of them trying to start a relationship with each other. In particular Sebastian’s horrid manager who I totally despised throughout the book and also Zenia’s sister who I also was not a fan of at all both were massive obstacles to Seb and Zen having their HEA. I really enjoyed this book. I loved Seb and Zen. Both are great characters that you can’t help but totally adore and want everything to work out for the pair. This was a great short read that I devoured in about 90 minutes and did not put down until I was finished.

When you have loved only two men in your life and they both happen to be your best friends, can a friendship survive?
Ava is from the infamous Rhodes family and although she has everything the thing she requires the most is love, while at college she finally gets her fantasy with her best friends with a night of pure passion but by morning everything changes.
After that fateful night Hunter has been trying to fight the demons from his past with trying to move forward. After working with Ava and Thomas for years he now has to ask for forgiveness or will there relationship be lost forever.
Thomas has always struggled with understanding what happened that night, what caused Hunter to run for the hills and because of that his relationship with Ava had fizzled out over the years, but when a letter and a box of letters appears on his doorstep can he find it in his heart to forgive and forget and get back the only people he has ever truly loved.
The first book in this series was brilliant but I think I loved this book more, Ava is such a great strong character within the first book you know there must be a story behind her coldness. The three of them together have great chemistry and although the story in arced with Shattered the first book it does not loss its own flow for their story.
I can’t wait to read the other books in this series and with there being other siblings that are just as interesting in Ava and Gabe I can’t wait.

The Crocodile Makes No Sound (The Lord Hani Mysteries #2) by N.L. Holmes
This is the second book in The Lord Hani Mystery Series, but can be read as a standalone. Holmes has a way of bringing any of her characters to life. I enjoy all her books.
Hani is at it again, but this time it involves several royals. Things get dangerous once again when his family is involved. His brother-in-law goes missing and no one knows where he went.
Hani has his family move to the farm house as they don’t feel safe at home. Things get tough when Hani is summoned by the Queen. The quote I chose for Hani is: “It’s going to be hard for anyone to follow me through the crowds of merrymakers today. Once I’m in the country, I’ll be able to see whoever’s around as easily as they can see me.”
If you like crime books then this is one for you. I highly recommend it.

Holmes- Review by Amanda Kimble
This was such a fresh take on paranormal romance that I greatly enjoyed! It’s a quick and light read, full of laugh out loud humor. It had a good dose of spooky feels to it also! Easy to squeeze into a lazy afternoon and highly recommended for the season.
