This is the first book I’ve read by the author, but it will not be the last. Wood has a way of bringing these sexy characters to life. Rhodes Family was a great series title and I can’t wait for the next ones.

Olivia, Livvie as Gabe calls her, leaves one day and ends up in New York. The first day in town she is hired to work for a law firm. She finds her boss attractive, but has sworn off men. The quote I chose for Olivia is: “Oh my God. I was so angry with him for betraying me. He’s in that hospital bed because of me.”

Gabe, a partner for the family law firm, has to hire a new junior partner. When Olivia walks in things change for him. When he learns of her past and how she was brought to New York he is mad. The quote I chose for Gabe is: “Livvie, my life was empty before you came into it. You have made me realize that I don’t want a life without you in it. I’ve loved you from the minute I saw you waiting for your interview. You are sweet and kind and motivated. You make me want to be a better man. Olivia Jane Cameron, would you do me the supreme honor of being my wife?”
