Her Blackened Heart by Isra Svravenheart is the second book in the Blackened series. I would recommend reading these books in order as they follow the same characters and the story also follows on.
I thought this was a good follow up to the first book. I still like the fact that we are getting a great fantasy story all told from the POV of the villain. It adds a unique twist to a genre that is jam packed with great stories. I liked how in this book we got to understand Lady Isra a little more. She is given a bit more depth as we discover more about her background and the rivalry she has with Everilda.
The story was well written. The author has developed the story well from the first book and it definitely felt like it was moving forward. The pacing was good as well – always something going on but never too much. This is a great book and a good series overall, it is definitely worth reading.
