Thunder on the Moor by Andrea Matthews a far-away four-star read. This was my first read by this author and I would like to try them again as I enjoyed the descriptiveness of the story so much, but at times the actual story left me cold. It was very much all or nothing, I was so encapsulated for a couple of chapters and then a chapter that didn’t hold me and took me so long to read, then back to eagerly turning the page, if it was one chapter I would think it was me, but it happened later as well, I felt like if I could chop a couple of bits it would have been five-stars.

Excellent box set. I really enjoyed these different stories and that there were many authors that contributed. I had three top favorites, One Night With A Knight by Aidy Award, 44th & Blue by Jodi Payne and Courtney by Jayce Ellis. The first book because I enjoy a curvy woman finding her true love, and the second two because I drool for MM romance.
In One Night With A Knight, I love that the story is about a plus sized woman Camila, who is a cook and she meets her love from high school again as an adult. Hudson never got over his first love and with a chance meeting with her again at a club, he will not let her go this time. The story shows Camila struggling at a one point with someone calling her big and how her man came to her defense, my heart broke for her but Hudson was there and is all for the curve!
44th & Blue, After meeting Ben, Cole wants nobody else, he can’t stop thinking about Ben. Ben feels the same way but when Ben moves to his new office and realizes Cole is the one working on the offices, he is terrified of mixing business with pleasure. At one point my heart fell thinking Ben was about to be a big jerk and leave Cole, but he bounced back with a nice apology and finally toughened up and realized he wanted Cole in his life.
Courtney, It is so cute that both men in this book have “female names”. This one touched a little on how Courtney was away from his family for a long time because his dad could not accept that he was gay, showing that his dad finally came around. It is sweet that Tracey hasn’t full come to terms with his sexuality and a push from his brother’s boyfriend and the insistence of a date from Courtney opens that door wide open for him.
I have to say, this is my fav so far from CA King. I was immediately drawn into Super Sorry. From the gorgeous and eye catching cover to the fantasy world within that comes alive off the pages as you read. This is one of those you will wanna set aside a few hours so you can read this in one fell swoop. If you like it half as much as I did that will be too easy to do. I loved the way this book layered fantasy with real life in a way that makes the lessons easy to catch but still interesting and fun to read. Sarah is one awesome main character and she was fun to watch grow throughout the story. We find her as she discovers that she has abilities that she has no idea how to use. The journey she takes will have you laughing and cheering for her as she finds her way in this new and magical world. I can’t wait to see what we will get next from CA King!
Shattered Reality (Summoned Book 1) by C.A. King. This is a wonderful fantasy read. It is basically the retelling of the old fable Medusa & Perseus. Medusa Black is a very successful psychiatrist who has left her estranged family behind her to move to Knollville and her families aging rundown mansion. While in Knollville Medusa meets Perry P a private investigator who is handsome and a bit strange. Medusa doesn’t have great memories of growing up in this mansion because her family believed in all sorts of magic and creepy stuff. The house has always been something she never wanted any part of after leaving. But after her parents death she is here. Perry P is hired by a a mysterious client and he figures he should help Medusa figure out the secrets of the old mansion because it could help them both. The chemistry between them is not expected by either. This book is full of secrets, magic and suspense. Such a page turner. Do yourself a favor and read Shattered Reality today!
I absolutely love to read about fae and shifters. When I read this book, Mira and Cadoc had this energy that I just wanted to keep reading. Cadoc, knowing what his wolf is telling him. Wondering if they will be able to save their kingdoms and be together as true mates. This book has romance, shifters, fae, drama, steamy true love, and of course an exciting adventure that is just waiting for you to dive in.

Shattered Reality is the first book in the Summoned Series. I absolutely loved, loved , loved this book. I’ve read other books by this author but I must say this is my favorite yet . From the moment I started reading till the end I was lost in the pages. This author gives us a completely new spin of Medusa and Perseus. Her attention to detail makes you feel like you are part of the story. Get ready to be taken on quite the ride. I don’t want to give anything away so I’m just going to say I highly recommend reading this book and you wont be disappointed. I can’t wait for what’s next.

The Fire God Tour (Moore Family Saga #3) by Michele Sims was a great 5 star read. I was pulled in right from the beginning.
Miles is a hip hop mogul known as “Ari” and at the top of his career. Bella works in marketing for Miles. The more that they work together the more they start to notice each other and their attraction to each other. Bella is very good at her job and impresses Miles even if he gave her the nickname Ice Queen.
Can these two have more than a working relationship? Will Miles help Bella get over her fear of fire?.
Overall I really enjoyed this read. Bella was great, she is smart and determined with the exception of being afraid of fire. Miles (Ari) pulled me right in and I really liked him. This is the first book by King that I’ve read. It won’t be my last as I loved this book. If you like paranormal and romance then this is for you.

Until she meets a stranger on a train and pours her heart out to him, they only thing will it be a chance meeting or something more.
Quinn has been given the editor job within a World Tripping Magazine and maybe this is the role he has been looking for, until on his first day in walks the girl who he has not been able to stop thinking about since the chance meeting on the train, the only problem is he is the one is bitter towards for taking her job.
As the story continues through you get to see the relationship between they and what can blossom into beautiful partnership. The story is well developed story with brilliantly characters. I love the way the story takes its turns and from enemy to lovers is always a great story.
The chemistry builds and will have you turning the page to see what happens, although it is a bit predictable in the narrative it is a great story.

I was intrigued when I read the synopsis. There was something that grabbed me and I’m glad it did. Ms. Anders is a new to me author, so I wasn’t sure what her writing style was and was happy from the very beginning with her style. I tend to lean towards the funny and sarcastic characters and Sydney was definitely one of those.
I loved the way Sydney and Quinlan meet, there is something charming and sort of realistic about the scenario. I think of all of the supporting characters Kady was my favorite. I mean who could not love someone who is in the Marvel.
I look forward to browsing through Ms. Anders other books and reading more by her. If any are half as enjoyable as this one i know I will enjoy every moment

This is the first book I’ve read by Anders. I’ve got to say this was a great read. It’s been awhile since I’ve read a book within a setting. It was hard to put down.
Sidney, aka Sid, is a designer who doesn’t get the time to present her presentation. She gets it all off her chest after a few drinks. Then they get a new boss. The quote I chose for Sidney is: “And then, our new Editor in Chief steps out on stage and it’s Prince F***ing Charming!”
Quinlan, aka Quinn, is new to the staff. He was born and raised but moved away. What happens when he meets someone new. The quote I chose for Quinn is: “Why is she crazy? Is she trying to tell you that the coffee here is delicious?”
Love Surreptitiously by Tarrah Anders was a wonderfully sexy and fun contemporary romance. I always enjoy Ms. Ander’s books, and this one was no different- it is definitely one of my favourite reads by her. From an unexpected encounter on a train, as Sydney vented about her job to a handsome stranger- Sydney and Quinn could have never predicted how their worlds were about to collide. Secret and steam. This is an office romance with all ingredients to make a fun read. Looking forward to more from Ms. Anders in the near future…

Can not believe that this series is coming to an end. I think back to all the stories I can remember and it gets a little confusing along the way. I read them out of order and although each is a standalone I would highly recommend starting at the beginning.
This is not my chosen genre but found myself interested enough to complete each one, this one might have been my favorite of all of them and I think it’s because I could relate to Clíodhna more being a Mom and even though different time frames in history, I could feel the strength that she had to pull from to make some of the choices she was forced to make. I can’t imagine.
This was an awesome end to this series, and I do hope someday to go back and read them again from the start. This author’s ability to describe the scenes and the scenery many times had me feeling like I was there, and made me want to visit these places.
I can imagine if this is your chosen genre that this series would absolutely be sitting at the top. I can say that this author has an amazing way of telling a story and I will continue to follow her and her future writings.

I thought this book was an awesome one. It was my first book by this author but it will not be my last. I thought it was well written and it pulled me in from page one. The main charcters are what made this story really good for me. They were relatable, awesome and hot hot hot! This book had some twists and turns and that just make me like it even more and kept me turning page after page. All of the romance and mystery and magic came together in this awesome story and I cannot wait to read more by this author! I would recommend this to a friend! Happy Reading!
This book was a quick read for me. I found the story to be fun and romantic. Sidney decides to go have a few drinks after having a really bad day. She finds herself telling all her woes to a stranger she meets on the train. Quinlan is Sidney’s new boss and as it turns out is the same man she met on the train when she was drunk. The chemistry between these two is off the charts. There are some hurdles for these two that they have to overcome in order for their relationship to work. I enjoyed this story and read it in one sitting. I recommend this book if you want to find out what happens between these two wonderful characters.

Reading Shattered Reality was quick and enjoyable. C.A. King takes you to a place that gives the mind a little shake. Making you question your reality. Could everything really be as it is or is it a mirrored image of a different reality. I really liked the spin with the mirrors and magic. The fact that Mudesa didn’t believe in any of it gave the story a kick. I really enjoyed the plot. The story had a really nice flow and no sidetracking. I did find it annoying that she didn’t believe magic for so long with everything happening around her. Perry is a creepy character for me. The way he appeared through the story. Then you find out why and the pieces fall into place. I also like that I couldn’t figure out the story line from the start. Like I said it’s a good read with a little magic.
I loved this book. This is a romance story that is written with a ton of heart and soul. I loved being pulled into the story right from the beginning. The characters made the story engaging as they bring the story to life. This was an emotional story that took me on a roller coaster ride that was hard to put down. I had no problems connecting to the characters that had me turning pages fast. This is a story about a single mother named Addie. Twelve years ago she left Jake’s life with a secret and now the past has come to the present. Jake never knew he had a daughter but with determination he wants to win Addie back. His one problem is that he has a secret that will keep them apart if she knew. What will Addie do? Will she run again or will she give Jake a chance? I loved watching the growth in this story as well as the trust building. They made such great characters that they made the story easy to read and feel realistic. I highly recommend this book.

The History of the Universe: As My Soul and I Remember by Stuart Ledwith is an interesting and intriguing read that gives the reader plenty to think about and ponder. It looks at religion, spiritually and faith. It invites the reader to take a look at ourselves and our beliefs, where we fit in within the universe and our own philosophies as Ledwith has done. It is an original and thought-provoking story that I am sure many will enjoy. 3 stars

‘Shattered Reality’ is an engaging and enjoyable paranormal fantasy story which is a retelling of the ancient mythological tale of Perseus and Medusa and is set in modern times. In this story Mudesa Black is a successful and respected psychiatrist who has left her estranged family behind her. However, having received a phone call Mudesa finds herself heading back home to Knollville and her family’s ageing mansion to face both her fears and her destiny. Meanwhile in Knollville private investigator Perry P’s latest client who has remained anonymous is happy paying him for what he sees as an easy job for easy money. All Perry has to do is watch ‘some dame’ for a few months however the more he watches the more curious he gets about the mysteries at the ageing mansion. Perry is not the only one wanting to unravel the mansions secrets as Mudesa plays detective herself. The pair soon discover that solving the mysteries may bring them both closure but in ways that they did not imagine were even possible. This was a page turner of a novel which had me hooked from page one. The author is very good at bringing both the setting of the book and also the characters to life due to her detailed and descriptive narrative. The storyline flowed well and the plot had enough twists in it to keep me guessing until the end. I felt immersed in the novel whilst reading it and as it’s book one in the authors new ‘Summoned’ series I look forward to reading book two.

Love Surreptitiously by Tarrah Anders is a fun and romantic story perfect for losing yourself in. It is a quick and easy read, exactly what is needed for that lazy afternoon. I thought the story overall was a fun and entertaining one, if a tad predictable at times. However I thought the characters were strong and well written which made up for that and meant I fully enjoyed the book regardless. I always enjoy this authors writing style and how each book has a different feel from the last. They are all distinctive and yet have the same common feature about them – the fact that they are all great!! I would definitely suggest you give this author a try and this would be a great book to start with.

The Magic of Christmas by Christi Barth truly lives up to it´s name! Jeremy and Rowan´s story is certainly a magical one, from start to end! I was hooked on this story and could not put it down until i finished it! A Christmas story with all the right things: Cheer, Love, and Happily Ever Afters! As any story about this wonderful holiday should! I very much enjoyed reading this author´s work, and I can´t wait to read more! I loved everything about this book, from the plot, to the rivals to romance trope, all the way down to my crush on Jeremy! A great read that I recommend reading for yourself! Even in the middle of October, this tale will put you into the festive mood that Christmas always entails!

This one is a struggle. The writing just seemed to not flow very well. The characters are interesting and there is nice banter between the two MC. I really liked the gun and the dog. Both are very cool! I did at times feel like I was missing something as they repeatedly mentioned other incidents that happened when they had worked together. Maybe if I had read the first one it would fall into place better. This is the second in the series but is a standalone.

Tarrah Anders wrote this fast paced romance. Her story built this relationship that became true to life. We all want to find that one special person to trust, In this story you will find hope. Love Surreptitiously is a great contemporary romance by Tarrah Anders. I had previously read a few of Tarrah Anders novels and had enjoyed them so was looking forward to more great writing, characters and storyline in this book. I’m glad to say that I got it. This is a really great read. When a chance meeting on a train on the way home from work sparks interest from both sides, Sidney Matthews and Quinlan Montgomery both brush it aside as they will likely never see each other again. So what happens when they both go to work the next day and discover that Quinlan (Quinn) is Sidney’s new boss? I thoroughly enjoyed Quinn and Sidney’s story. Their clandestine meetings to try and keep their growing relationship a secret from her friends and colleagues at work. There are some funny moments when they are almost caught in a compromising position. This book is not all fun and games though, as the path to true love never runs smoothly. Will the secret that Quinn is keeping be just too much for Sidney to deal with? What will happen at work when their secret finally gets out? I definitely recommend that you read this book to get the answers. You will not be disappointed!

Shattered Reality by C.A. King is the first book in the new Summoned series. I always enjoy a new book by C.A. King and this did not disappoint. Retelling and reworking the tale of Medusa and Perseus into modern times wonderfully I flew through the pages of this book. Mudesa Black, a psychiatrist, who has a new role to take in her life is the main character. Perry P. is a private investigator with a mysterious new client. I have always enjoyed this classic tale and many do not take it on especially reworking to modern times. C.A. King did a great job and created characters I really enjoyed and a story which was fantastic. I look forward to more from this series and the author in the future.

I loved reading the book Age of Druids (The Druid’s Brooch Series #9) by Christy Nicholas. It is a story that includes action, danger, romance, and magic. It is a book that pulled me in from the very beginning. I enjoyed reading about the character of Clíodhna. She is a woman who has a love for her children and is discovering that she has talents and powers. What will happen when what she believes clashes with the new church? What does the future hold for Clíodhna? Read this book to find out. This is a story that had me turning pages to find out what was going to happen next. I grew to care about what happens to Clíodhna with each chapter that I read. The book is written in such a way that I deeply felt her emotions. She also shows herself to be intelligent, strong and determined when she needs to be. Other additional characters are introduced and while some work against Clíodhna, some help and assist her. The author writes in such detail that I felt like I was right there with the characters. Don’t miss out on a book that is exciting and entertaining. I wasn’t able to put it down until I read the last page. It is a story I would highly recommend reading.

Super Sorry by C. A. King is a great change of pace from the books I have been reading. C. A. is one of my go to writers and this story was wonderful. This is a YA read with all of the teenage challenges, not to mention adding in super powers. The characters are relatable and the story flows from beginning to end. Sarah Sorry is a typical teen, wanting to hang out with friends, but then things start changing. This is my new favorite book of C.A. King. I like the fact that most of her books are short enough to read in a day or two, and they are always pack with great writing and thought provoking issues. Review by @sunbarn

I loved reading the book A Beach Wedding To Die For (Cozy Mysteries To Die For Book 2) by Judy Moore. It is a mystery story that pulled me in from the very beginning. Two jilted grooms show up for a bride’s next wedding. Trouble is unavoidable. Who will not be leaving the wedding alive? Read this book to find out. This is a story that had me turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. It has wonderful characters. I loved reading about Beck O’Rourke. She is intelligent, independent, and is ready to jump into action as a detective. I also loved Beck’s grandmother and her sister, Miss Alice, and Lizzie. They make up a family that owns and operates a bookstore, and they help and take care of each other. Then there is Detective Devon Mathis. He is handsome and is attracted to Beck. There are also other additional characters that I enjoyed reading about. All of them have their part to play. The author does a wonderful job of making all of the characters come alive on the pages. I felt like I was right there with them. Don’t miss out on a mystery that will keep you guessing until the end. I highly recommend reading this story.
