Grumbler’s Ride (Satan’s Devils MC San Diego #2)by Manda Mellett

5 out of 5 stars

I have read quite a few books written by Ms. Mellett and her writing just gets better with each book. I love how thorough she is with her descriptions if it’s of the club house and compound or just the people in general. I loved how she describe Grumbler’s motorcycle. These guys are not just a bunch of misfits that come together it is a brotherhood.

Grumbler is the Sergeant -at- arms he has given his club more years of his life than he cares to remember. His life is settled and just the way he likes it. He thinks he is too old to change now.

Grumbler is asked to use his motorcycle in a photo shoot while there he meets Mary and her 17yr old daughter Alicia. Grumbler finds out that they were conned out of money for such said photo shoot for a book cover that he contacts Alicia and her mother Mary and told them he would take care of I and get their money. So, after Alicia calls Grumbler for help after a bad experience with a male model they all become close.

Mary is a single mother to a 17yrold daughter names Alicia who keeps her on her toes. Alicia thinks she knows everything she’s not quite adult, but doesn’t see herself as a child, constantly pushing at boundaries. She spends most of her time trying to stay one step ahead of her and it’s not easy.

So now he is chasing the photographer for none-payment sends things in a spiral turn that throws Grumbler and Mary together. As the MC investigates the photographer things come to light that they need to call the Utah chapter. Grumbler is not happy about this because he still does not trust them after their antics came to light.

I highly recommend this book/series….
