I thought this book was written well. The characters were likable. There’s not much to write without giving away the book. The two main characters meet in a bar one night and decide to spend an amazing night together only to come face to face the next day. What happens when he realizes who she is and that she is totally off limits.
Fighting for Us was a wonderful read full of emotion and wonderful characters. I fell in love with Lorenzo from the very moment I started reading about him. The author did an amazing job because the emotion just poured off the pages at times and I definitely had tears in my eyes! From the very first page until the last I was hooked on what I was reading, I was completely absorbed by Lorenzo and Carissa’s story, I wanted them both to find the happiness they deserved and more! Overall a really lovely story full of emotion and one that I would highly recommend to other readers!

This was a really enjoyable read. I love Christmas stories so I was really looking forward to starting this one and it didn’t disappoint at all. It was on the shorter side but it was still a perfect read. I loved the characters and felt a really connection with them, they were well planned and thought out in my opinion. I really liked Chloe, she was a nice character to read about and I loved Jason, he wasn’t what I expected at first and I fell in love with him straight away. I thought that they both had a lovely connection! There were some very sweet moments between them. All in all this was a lovely romantic Christmas read and one that I highly recommend! I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

Christensen is a fantastic author. Jordan’s Justice is a fantastic read and I can’t wait for more.
Tessa is a single mom and she hasn’t had contact with the father in four years. Seeing him again brings back everything she was running from. Jordis is Tessa’s life and Jordan wants to take her. The quote I chose for Tessa is: “You are only allowed to see my daughter when someone else is present, Christina, and it is only because I think she should know her grandparents, even her coldhearted, manipulative one. If I ever get even an inkling of you being anything other than a doting grandma, we will disappear so fast it will make your head spin. You wanted me to abort the granddaughter you pretend to care so much about. You will never have a say in how I raise her.”
Jordan is a huge NBA player. Becoming an ambassador to the Community Center Tessa works is one way to get under her skin. When he finds that he’s got a daughter things blow up. The quote I chose for Jordan is: “What she told me is true? You found her at the pool house door? She didn’t come to see you specifically? Did you give her the check, or did she ask for it?”

This is the first book I’ve read by the author and I loved it! If you love crime with a twist then this is the book for you!
Miriam is a cop who is now looking for a decade killer. Her neighbor and good friend tells her that she had a vision ending in Miriam’s life. When an ex comes back into the picture it changes things. The quote I chose for Miriam is: “We can rest on the plane ride home tomorrow morning. Right now I want to talk to Kevin. I have a killer on my tail, the sooner we solve this case, the sooner I can relax without thinking someone will come up from behind me and stick a knife in my back.”
Jesse is back in town and he wants to see Miriam. He’s still in love with her and doesn’t want to let her go. The quote I chose for Jesse is: “We should probably start heading back. I need to get some cat food and a litter box and then get Josie over to Miriam’s place.”
When you have a crush on a fellow co-worker but will never do anything about it as office romances always go wrong.
Aurda was up for a big promotion but so was Charlie, the only probably she has an attraction to Charlie but an office romance never goes well especially when they are in direct competition with each other.
Charlie has been attracted to Aurda ever since she stepped into his life but they are definitely in friends zone at the moment until one night changes that forever.
I loved this story of love and chemistry, letting your feelings just take over and throw caution to the wind. Both the lead characters compliment each other perfect and the chemistry and banter between them was brilliant. I was hooked from the first words until the last, with this well written story you feel like your transported within the story.

As soon as I seen this book I wanted it as I enjoy Naomi writing style a lot. Millicent has just been given some information and she can’t believe it. Oh that darn cat is at it again. Office Mistakes by Beth Hale is a sweet contemporary romance that is full of Christmas cheer. It is a short story but there is a lot going on. It makes for a nice cozy afternoon read. This is a lovely heartwarming festive read. I loved loved characters and the author did a good job of fully immersing you into their story.

Unwrapping Noel by Jennifer Theriot Narrated by Sara Gordon Five Stars
Unwrapping Noel is hands down the best holiday story I read/listened to this year. It made me laugh and cry, which is how I like to judge my books. This one brought awareness to being happy with yourself no matter your size. Noel and Leon are wonderful characters with a real connection. The witty banter was extremely entertaining. If you’re looking for a good holiday romance, I highly recommend this book. This is the first book I listened to narrated by Sara Gordon, but definitely not the last. She brought the characters to life. Her voice was smooth and she really landed those sarcastic quips thrown about.

Jordan’s Justice is the second book in the Tessa and Jordan series by T. Christensen. I recommend reading the first book in this series if you haven’t already as this is the continuance of there story. This is a Sports Romance that once you start reading you won’t want to put it down till you finish. Jordan and Tessa , he’s a star basketball player and she’s a single mom and caretaker trying her best. She was managing until after fours years then she sees him again. Jordan isn’t nice to her at all but he’s got his mind made up about what he thinks the truth really is. Find out what happens next in this emotional rollercoaster ride. My emotions were all over the place. Ill be honest I wasn’t a fan of Jordan’s at first but that changed quickly. I highly recommend reading this whole series if you haven’t started reading already. I look forward to reading more from this Author.

Jordan’s Justice: A New Adult Sport Romance (Tessa and Jordan Book 2) by T. Christensen was a great 5 star read. I was so excited to get the next book in the series, I made the mistake of starting the book when I went to bed, I was up until 4am because I couldn’t put it down.
Tessa has moved on with her life and is doing the best she can. When she comes face-to-face with Jordan at an event she is shocked and after their encounter she runs home. When he makes an unexpected appearance at her door she agrees to meet him and talk. There is another twist when she is at work and sees him walking in with her boss, that’s when things hit the fan and he learns the truth.
Needless to say there is so much going on that my head was spinning. My heart broke for Tessa with all that she was put through and how she was treated. I have to say I really really did not like Jordan for most of the book and don’t get me started on his mother. There are so many ugly cry moments in this book so keep the Kleenex handy. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. If you’re looking for an emotional read that pulls you right in this is the book and series for you. Five-Alarm Christmas: A Novella by Melinda Valentine is an erotica romance story. It is a quick and easy read and one that will leave you wanting more. What she thought was a few drinks and a one-night stand turn out to be something more. But her aversion to dating firemen leaves her torn when she realises just who her one night was with. O’Malley writes such beautifully emotional stories that always leave me wanting more. She is a one click author – I’m pretty sure if she chose to write the phone book I’d buy it. This book – Miriam and Jesse – good grief!!!! If you love a good backstory, wonderful chemistry, some suspense, and a masterful story – read it. Hurry and read it!! I’m at a loss and only can continue to ramble to convince you to pick this up as fast as possible. Great characters and a riveting storyline – it’s a winner!
The first book in the series had me running the course of all possible emotions more than once. The second – good grief. I wasn’t prepared for the emotional onslaught – and I mean that in the best possible way. The best appreciate the character development it is best to read these books in series order. Truthfully once you start you will want them both. Regardless, Jordan’s Justice was a beautifully broken, wonderfully heartbreaking story that I’m so thankful the author wrote. I left the first book wanting more but had no idea what that would look like. These pages gave me everything I wanted and more. Loved it!

Five-Alarm Christmas: A Novella by Melinda Valentine
A steamy short story for Christmas. The book is fast paced but still gives you enough about the characters to want more. The author did a wonderful job sharing who the main characters were and added suspense to the first part of the book. I would love to find out more about what happened with the two main characters in the future.
This book is considered a Young Adult, Sci-fi genre. Becoming Human is my first book by Amy Michelle Carpenter. This story is a fast paced sci-fi story that grabbed my attention from page one until the last page. I did finish this in one sitting. I found myself turning the pages faster and faster until the end. The characters are fully developed and fun to read about in their story. One is a boy who does not believe in aliens, an alien who is all about humans, and to round off the crew there is a robot. The three of them make the story wonderful. There is a lot of action, sci-fi and magical all rolled into a great read. The three characters are coming into their age and Ms. Carpenter does an awesome job keeping the plotline moving. I highly recommend this story for a fun entertaining read.

Moonlit Whisper by Amy McKinley is such a wonderful contemporary romance read. I have always loved Amy’s works and this series, Moonlit Destination, so when I saw this was available I knew I had to know the story that was behind the gorgeous cover of Moonlit Whisper. In this book we get the story of Fiona and Connor, and what a story it is. This book packs one heck of a punch for the shorter read it is and I felt like I had lived a whole different life by the end of it. I won’t give much more than the blurb already provided so for the gritty details you will want to one click this read right now. Be prepared to fall in love with the way McKinley builds a world you won’t want to leave.
I have come to get really excited each time I see a new Irresistible Anthology come out no matter the season. I loved this one as much as the others and will once again add this to my yearly line up of holiday reads. This one has Pets to The Rescue being the theme of the sixth addition to this anthology series. I love the heartwarming and attention sucking novels that fill these pages. I love how there is something for everyone in each set included. My personal fav in this one was the inclusion of the Two Hearts Christmas Rescue a holiday novella by Tamara Ferguson that brought me back to my favorite of places that she likes to write about. This is one you don’t wanna miss.
If you need a holiday set to binge, or a set to just keep you warm as you cozy up with your favorite drink this is a set that will be perfect for you. Five – Alarm Christmas : A Novella by Melinda Valentine was an erotic quick read. I loved how the story jumped right in and gave you a snippet into these characters’ lives. I loved Finley and Garret, I would love to read more with them involved. This story was on fire and definitely did not cut corners. I will definitely be looking for more books from Melinda Valentine.
CORPORATE CHRISTMAS by Bernadette Marie was my first experience reading anything by this author. I was quite surprised how much this little holiday novella had packed into a fast paced and well thought out story. I love reading holiday books this time of year that encourages my belief in love and magic and this was a perfect addition to my list this year. We get to meet Chloe and Jason as they traverse a relationship and attraction that is only hindered by outside forces beyond her control. I look forward to seeing what else is available by Ms. Marie and hope to see more holiday shorts from her in the future as well.

This is a short story about first loves and second chances. Fiona is starting her 4th year in Dublin alongside her fiancé Lachlan. When she is asked to tutor a new player, she is surprised to see the boy (who is now a man) from her past at the table. Conner is back in Dublin after living in the US with his mother when she fled the abusive ways of Conner’s father. Now he’s back and he can see that things aren’t like they were when he left. Lachlan has nothing but disdain for him and Fiona is no longer his. As the book plays out, a series of events has Fiona questioning her relationship with Lachlan and coming to terms with why Conner had to leave all those years ago. I enjoyed this story. It was a quick read…but enjoyable.

This short novella is a fast read that is a bit on the spicy side! Finley goes to a bar to escape her overbearing family. There, she catches the eye of a hot stranger across the bar. Before you know it, they have moved from the bar to his apartment. She is gone by morning…neither even catching the name of the other. Imagine their surprise when they meet again the next day at the firehouse Christmas party. Garrett knows rule number one at the firehouse is never go after the captain’s daughter. But, in his defense, he didn’t know who she was. Despite the rule, he can’t keep his eyes (or hands) off of Finley. Should they try to see where it goes? Or should they just obey the rule and move on? This was a quick read that was full of a lot of storyline building. I am hoping there will be a full-length story coming out so I can see what happens next!
Fighting for Us (Love is Worth Fighting For Book 1) by Bella Emy. This is the first book I’ve read by this author but it won’t be my last. I loved this story. Its the story of Lorenzo who had the world by the tail. He was married to the love of his life and has a precious baby girl. When his wife is torn from his life and he’s left to raise their daughter alone he feels like his life is over. Carissa had her life all together, she had a wonderful family and a loving fiance and then he dumped her for seemingly no reason at all. Trying to pick up the pieces of her life has been hard but once she meets Lorenzo she is determined never to fall in love again. When she starts falling for Lorenzo she’s scared to death but she’s in love with him and his daughter. Will she let her heart chance getting broken again or will she lose a chance at an amazing man and daughter because she’s scared? Read Fighting For Us to find out. Fighting For Us by Bella Emy is the first book in the Love is Worth Fighting For series. This is a brilliant and well written book with main characters that have some fantastic chemistry. For me they made this book what it is and everything became about them. Bella Emy is one of those authors with a strong writing style that draws you into the book and has you hooked from start to finish. This is exactly what this book is like and I loved immediately. I wanted to know how these characters would make things work and wanted them so badly to find a happy ending. This is a well writing and amazing book and is one that I would highly recommend.

This is the kind of excitement I can sink my teeth into. For a hopeless romantic like me, this book hit the spot. I fell head over heels for both characters, their homestyle charm and charisma. From beginning to end, this is a great story to simply fall in love with over and over again.

All good things must come to an end. Sad but true. And we have reached the final book in the New Orleans Nocturnes series by Carrie Pulkinen. At least the final book SO FAR…
I cannot say how much I have enjoyed this series. Ms. Pulkinen has an incredible ability to spin a funny, engaging tale and I have never laughed so hard reading a series as I did with this one. Ms. Pulkinen did not disappoint with this final book. If anything, she finished the series with the BEST. BOOK. YET.
Death takes a holiday…
No, really it does…well the Grim Reaper does and this causes major problems. Enlisting the help of Necromancer Jasmine Lee, he must wrangle some unruly ghosts and get them back to the underworld before the world goes to well…that place. With chemistry, that’s hot, hot, hot, and some unholy bad luck, these two have the work cut out for them!
Ms. Pulkinen again brings witty humor, twists and turns, and fantastic chemistry to the reader with Asher and Jasmine’s story. Catching up with old friends, meeting new ones, the steamy backdrop of the French Quarter all combine to finish out a wonderful series. Ms. Pulkinen is a wonderful storyteller and I hope upon hope that she will continue this series!
