I wasn’t sure what to expect when I picked up this volume but I was charmed by the short stories I found within. Kearney does a beautiful job filling the pages with stories that will absolutely warm the heart of all dog lovers. If you have a pet you love or know someone that does, this work is one that you will thoroughly enjoy.

King is a one click author for me and I always enjoy seeing how she easily navigates between several different genres. This book is a charming romantic comedy that puts King’s character building on display. From page one, I was endeared to the leading lady and her mysterious allergy. This holiday caper was full of wit, charm, and holiday cheer. Fantastic dialogue and plot pacing, this story will most definitely become part of my regular holiday reading. Loved every page!

The Dog Thief and Other Stories is the first book have read by Jill Kearney. It definitely won’t be the last. The twelve short stories are thoughtful and awe inspiring. I really enjoyed the stories about the dogs and a few cats. They got me thinking of some of my grandmas dogs. It brought back great memories of my childhood. Some of the stories brought to life hardships and different points of view. This book left me feeling good about the wa animals (pets) come and go throughout our life time. I highly recommend this book for all animal lovers.

The overall theme of the stories is about the animal and human relationship. Individual stories show the love, trust, and heartwarming of these relationships. The stories show the unconditional love from the pet to their human. There are life issues but it shows how the pets can heal each person differently. I was hooked from the beginning because I believe in the healing power of the love between the animal and human. If you are feeling down and out I recommend reading these stories because it will tug at your heartstrings.

Carmen Radtke is a new author to me and I thoroughly enjoyed this book. This book has a solid storyline. This is accomplished by the detail writing by Carmen Radtke. Her characters are fully developed and complicated. The feeling I had reading this book is a fun cozy mystery story. I finished it in one sitting as I felt drawn into the story. I love the fact that it was done on water which makes this story even more interesting. Our main characters Frances and Jack are an act on a voyage ship doing a magic act. They were called into action when a passenger was murdered. Will Frances and Jack find the murderer? What else can possibly happen while investigating this murder? I highly recommend this story.

The Relic Hunters series continues and this might be my favorite of the series to date. As the books build on each other I would recommend reading this in series order. Ferguson has done a terrific job weaving a story that appeals to all ages. This latest adventure was just as action packed as I have come to expect. Truly enjoyed every page and look forward to reading more from this author.

Sonya Jesus always finds a way to mesmerize me with the stories she weaves. Twists, turns, and just an incredible story. The characters jumped off the page in a fantastic way. I read this in one setting because I simply couldn’t put it down. Highly recommend!!

This one surprises the heck out of me. There are many lovely, sensual and seductive moments in here. These two are OFF THE CHARTS! They are intoxicating! I couldn’t turn pages fast enough. Normally I favor the male character but in here they both rise to the top! I laughed, cried and got chills while taking this trip with these two. Completely Worth It!
Dominic is a great character. He has charisma and knows it. This man could meIt my heart/ears with his seductive words and kindness. I loved watching him change his tune about Lula and relationships. Lula is a dream! I can only picture her voice but man I would love to hear her sing! I think she feels like most women when it comes to men..not good looking enough. I loved watching her blossom.
Secondary characters are outstanding. They push, help and antagonize Dom and Lula! I enjoyed meeting the Adams boys/family and eagerly look forward to their stories.
Overall this is excellent and is a new favorite of mine. The characters are fun, sassy and entertaining. The story is sweet, sexy and romantic. I loved everything about this book!

Murder makes waves is book 3 of a series. I’m guessing you do not have to read the books in order because I haven’t read any others in the series and I didn’t feel lost. This was a good mystery book with great character and a good storyline. My favorite character of course is Uncle Sal. I feel like he made the book. I’m not a big mystery reader but I did enjoy reading the book. The author did a great job describing 1931. I would definitely recommend this read for the mystery lovers out there.

Talk about a page turner! I read this in about 3.5 hours. I couldn’t stop! The story drew me in. It’s dark and twisty…perfect thing to me up into the night. The characters are equally evil and complex. Did I laugh or cry at this? no but my eyes stayed glued to the pages anyway.
While this is the Nolan Mills series…Elle completely captivated me. We learn more about her as the story progresses. She comes of flakey but she is strong and impressively smart. Kacey I am not overly impressed with. He would be one that could be left behind. I know…I know they have a shared history. Yeah wrong choices and all that but not sure that forgiveness is the key with them.
I did enjoy the tasks that Dr Nolan gave them to work on. Great idea! I do look forward to more in this series. This is a twisty romantic thriller.

Its the story of Lula Stanley who is a literature teacher who is wanting to find her father. Lula is beautiful, smart and too worried about her low key life and lack of family to want romance. Dominic Adams is the high school history teacher at the same high school as Lula and he is the hottest man East High has ever seen. Dominic has never even noticed Lula until he goes out with friends to a Jazz club and he sees and hears the most beautiful thing ever. Dominic can have any woman he wants but since he met Lula he doesn’t want anyone but her. Lula doesn’t thinks he has time for a relationship with all the secrets she’s finding out about her family. Dominic and Lula become close and he tries to help her find out what’s happened with her father. Will Lula let down her walls and let Dominic in. This is a sexy emotional read. High Heels And Mistletoe Kisses Under The Mistletoe By C.A. King ☆☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ Full length romance novel. During the right season, Christmas, this book is top notch. Even though someone’s plans don’t go as someone thought. I just can’t get over this sweet romance.
Juliette Romero’s idea of Christmas, is to be as far away as she can. Having many reasons, being allergic to mistletoe or the family curse, she stays away. She even plans her vacations around Christmas. That was fine with her. But this year has a whole other plan, that is standing in her way. The name is Luke Winslow, the company’s playboy and the boss’s son. Luke has never hooked up with a woman more than a roll between the sheets. But for some reason Juliette has him intrigued. He must figure out how to get the girl. But she wants to get the job, signed, sealed and delivered. Then move on to her vacation. Then there is Luke. Guess you need to read this story to find out what happens, as there is no spoiler here. I’m sure you will love it, as I do.
Well C.A. King has got a sweet story here. A real page turner as well. The characters are people we know. OK not personally, but I know a few people just like them. I have read several of the books written by C.A. King. She never disappoints! C.A.King is my go too writer, as I always find something in her many books. Well Done C.A. King! Well Done!

First, all books taking place in Chicago must have the characters love the Cubs. 😁
Second, holy cow. Totally didn’t expect things to play out the way they did for Lula and finding her father. Think the build up was well written and it left me wanting more.
Third, where can I find a guy like Dom for my daughter? If she were to bring home such a well mannered man who feels the way he does about family it would make me soooo happy.
I throughly enjoyed this book and wish I had read it slower to savor instead of reading as fast as i could to find out what happens next.

Not even 50% in and I am bawling my eyes out. Not only are the characters fantastically written, their emotions pour out on the pages, I can’t stop. This is a gut wrenching story of tragedy, coping, friendship and family.
There is good in all things, even tragedy. We don’t all see it the same way, we don’t all learn the same thing, and we don’t all see any good ever, tragedy or not. I am speechless, heartbroken, but still speechless. Molly does one heck of a job getting into this topic right from the start and she holds you there until the very last sentence. Very well done.
An shocking attraction happens for Callie. Meeting her boss Gianluca a large ego with the up most confidence. This is your opposite attract story can enemies really become lovers. This is the fashion world and Callie is not into that. The chemistry thee two have sets off sparks. Gianluca comes off as a massive jerk off and is difficult to deal with at times. The more time Gianluca and Callie spend together, feelings grow and blossom like grapes on the vine. It’s lovely read.

Love Heels! The TV News Business Can Be Murderis the third book in the PJ Santini Seriesby Lynne Russell. This is a private eye mystery with humor, family dynamics, murder, intrigue, tension, suspense, and that somewhat sarcastic sense of humour that I love about this series. We met PJ Santini back in the first book. She’s a television news reporter and private eye. We follow her as this latest investigation as she is once again put through her paces. As with the other two books, this was quite entertaining- keeping me flipping the pages to find out what happens next. PJ is a great character- along with her family and the other supporting cast- add the witty banter and this comedy has some really funny scenes. The story was interesting, with cleverly crafted elements that made this book a memorable read. Again, I can’t wait to see what PJ gets up to next!

Gianluca is the first book in the Marini Family Romance series by Isabella Cassazza. This is a contemporary romance set in the fashion world- with plenty of chemistry, angst, push pull, and drama- and this story has the added bonus of having Italy as its backdrop.
I enjoy the way Ms. Cassazza weaves her stories- adding her own stamp and flare to her work. Her characters are well developed and are quite likeable- making it easy to invest in them and the outcome of their story. I will definitely be following the rest of this series.

With Trolls bringing this story to life, you just know that it will be an interesting and fun read. I loved that we get to see a snippet of Iceland’s wonderfully unique folktale history through this clever retelling of an ancient story. Yule Lads Legend is well worth the read!

Dreaming of Christmas is a collection of five festive novellas. I’m not always a massive fan of short stories, I like to have a bit more time to get to know the characters, but in this case I really enjoyed it! Each story was filled with wonderful characters and was a heartwarming tale. It’s the perfect type of book to dip in and out of. It’s especially good if you find you haven’t got a whole lot of time at the minute, it’s easy to read and doesn’t take long at all to get invested in the stories and the characters. I’m a huge fan of Christmas themed romances, they really help get you into the spirit of things. If that’s the type of book you are looking for, I would definitely recommend this.
Hunted is the first book in the Hunted series by Sarah Biglow and Molly Zenk. It is a great fast-paced paranormal story- with vampires, hunters, the supernatural, mystery, tension, romance, drama, action, adventure, wonderful world building, family, originality, and intriguing characters. I love the stories that this talented duo cooks up- and this latest collaboration is definitely one of my favourites they have produced. I can’t wait to see where the series leads from here. Who doesn’t love a good vampire story?

Starvation by Molly Fennig is a young adult story that tackles the sensitive topic of eating disorders- from a male perspective. It is raw, honest, and at times very confronting. Molly Fennig doesn’t shy away from this difficult topic, giving a warts-and-all account that really made me sit up and take notice. The story alternated from past to present and back again- theses transitions were seamlessly choreographed into a seamless and powerfully realistic story. We follow Wes as he grapples with his emotional turmoil, leading to an eating disorder- we witness as he is held in its grip- and look on as it takes over his life. Will he find a way through this experience and come out the other side. Or will it completely consume him. This is well worth the read to find out.

This book is a collection of essays about events/periods of P.A Kane’s life which he then links to a song/music. He uses the song to partially narrate the essay and link the two together. The essays cover many different periods in the author’s life, and many different topics- from growing up, to a social commentary of the times- with history, politics, life, death, humor, challenges, family, race, and much more- this book provided an interesting journey. P.A Kane also provides some basic rules for making your own playlist- encouraging you to create something that speaks to you and reflects your life and feelings. His simple steps make it all seem quite easy- and had me itching to shuffle through my own collection of songs and albums. A thought-provoking read.

Grumblers Ride is book 2 in the Satan’s Devils MC San Diego series, by Manda Mellet.
The story starts with Grumbler….who certainly earns his name at first. He’s an older member of the club and you get the impression he’s seen almost everything. His bike is his pride and joy, so when he agrees to it ‘modelling’ in a photo, he gets annoyed very quickly when his fee isn’t paid. Mary is having the same problem, except it’s her daughter who’s waiting for her modelling fee. She didn’t want her seventeen year old daughter involved in this anyway, but there’s no going back now, and she deserves to be paid rather than conned. Grumbler and his MC brothers soon come up with a plan, and when grumbler spends more time with Mary and Alicia, we begin to see the softer side to him….there’s more to him than his name lets on. I loved the relationship between Grumbler and Mary, she softens his grumpiness and he brings her out of her shell and shows her there’s more to life that she’s been missing out on. I would recommend this story, and can’t wait to read more books in the series now.

I really enjoyed reading The Bullet Theory By Sonya Jesus. The author has great attention to detail and has woven a web for reader’s to unravel themselves. Ellie is looking for this killer. Everyone has something to hide. How far will Eleanor go will she go. There a ton of different motives in this Book some that surprise you others don’t. It’s a well written psychological romance thriller. This book keeps readers on there are toes and looking for clue’s whilst trying to figure out who the Bullet man is.

The Bullet Theory is the first book in the Dr. Nolan Mills series by Sonya Jesus. It is such an intriguing and exciting start to her new series and something a little different from the other books of hers that I have read. I love the original and clever premise to the story- and love that Sonya Jesus had me wondering how things would play out for most of the way through the book. It definitely captured my attention, as well as my imagination- I couldn’t put it down for fear of missing something. So, I ended up reading it in one thrilling session- and came away wanting more (in a good way). This book is a fully contained story, so there is not major cliffhanger as such- but it does leave room for more instalments- sooooo, I really can’t wait to get my hands on the next book to find out where we go from here. I neeeeed book two- STAT!!!! I volunteer to do all of Sonya Jesus’s housework, cooking, cleaning, and any other chores- just so she can concentrate on getting the next book done ASAP 😊. As with her other books, this story was a wonderfully detailed and descriptive- and Sonja Jesus created quite a lot of intensity, intrigue, and tension- making me think- wondering where the story was leading and pretty much kept me guessing the whole way through. This is a gripping story told from several POV’s- which really gave a great perspective of what was going on- while creating enough intrigue and suspense to keep me completely invested in the outcome. As I have mentioned in the past, Ms. Jesus is quite skilled when it comes to character her development. Creating characters who are fully realised individuals, with interesting and complex personalities, quirk, and flaws. They really were so interesting- and the story was all the more exciting for their involvement. With murder, mystery, suspense, jealousy, betrayal, revenge, dirty deals, flashbacks, tension, emotion, and romance- this book is a must read. Seriously, go grab a copy and dive in- you will be happy you did! There is absolutely no doubt that I will be reading the next book! I need it like, yesterday!!!

Each story is connected in some way and they take place at different romantic settings around the world. The joy and magic of Christmas make them more enjoyable. The stories are short, but they still leave their mark and warm your heart. Joanne has incorporated some of her travels and knowledge of the places she has visited into her work and it is easy to see the passion woven with her words.
Once again a good story by Alexander Charalambides. The story of Rowena and Vincenzo just gets better and better. This story had a few twists and turns but that just made it very interesting. The vibrant world that Alexander Charalambides has created make the novel come alive. I look forward to the future adventures of Rowena and Vincenzo.

It’s a good Christmas themed romance by C.A. King. I really enjoyed her Wendigo Forest so was excited to start this. I really liked the characters in the book and you can’t help but root for Julietta when she begins to learn the joy of Christmas and Luke thinking he’s found what’s been missing in his life. A curveball is thrown and I loved watching this two dance around each other, building their relationship and them growing together. It was so cute and sweet and I loved it! Like its everything you want in a Christmas story, romance and magic you can’t help but love. This is another great Christmas read and is really getting me in the mood for Christmas!

The North Wind Descends is the fourth book in N.L. Holmes’ fascinating Lord Hani Mysteries series. Like the previous books, it is an enticing mystery with a vivid historical setting in Ancient Egypt. Holmes draws on a strong academic background to build a setting that is full of detail and accuracy of everyday and court life. The main duo, Hani and Maya, are something of an Egyptian Sherlock Holmes and John Watson (Holmes’ nom de plume leaves readers in no doubt of this influence!). Maya, Hani’s son-in-law, is more than happy to assist the newly decorated Master of the King’s Stable, as he is always excited to go home and tell the stories of their adventures. As the series has progressed, Hani’s children are getting older and more established, and so add more layers to the story. Hani’s son Pa-kiki, who is working as a scribe, joins his father on his parts of his adventure. Hani’s daughter Neferet’s work as a healer has given her access to, and opinions about, the royal family which may well get her into danger. My favourite thing about this series is how real the world feels. Holmes gives us plenty of details, such as what food is eaten and even what smells there are, without drawing away from the pacing of the story. The book really transports readers to a different time and place. For me, this is a five-star read. I’d recommend it to mystery fans wanting something a bit different, as well as anyone who needs a change of scenery without leaving their homes!

Dreaming of Christmas: 5 complete, sweet holiday romances by Joanne Dannon is a great collection of holiday romances that are sure to get you in the festive spirit. These are all sweet, heartwarming stories that will have you believe in the magic of Christmas for sure. They are nice easy reads meaning they are easy to pass away an afternoon or two getting lost in the great characters. These are the first books that I have read by this author I enjoyed the pacing of the books. They were well developed and all had a different enough storyline that you couldn’t get them mixed up. I enjoyed each of the characters as well – they all seemed to work so well together and I definitely found myself invested in each of the couples. This was a really good collection and I would recommend it for sure.
