Forged by secrets is the 3rd book in the Deadly Isles Special Ops series by Amy McKinley. This book is set during and after the previous novel in the series. Malina has secrets about her past that she doesn’t want getting out, and as such she has perfected the art of keeping people at arm’s length. However, her high school crush and current colleague Tyler is making that difficult for her. When Malina is falsely accused of committing treason, there is only one person that she can turn too. She escapes to Tyler’s private island home to find the answers she is looking for, however that is not the only thing she finds out. I really enjoyed this novel; I only wish it was longer. I liked all the books in this series so far, the characters are intriguing and well written, you really start to feel for them. I look forward to the next book.
