Jordan’s Shadow by T.R. Cupak – Review by Karyn Taylor

Jordan's ShadowJordan’s Shadow by T.R. Cupak
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I’m at a total loss for where to start discussing Jordan’s Shadow by T.R. Cupak. This book has literally spit me out and left me wondering what the hell happened. I hadn’t read any of this author’s work before so was unsure what to expect. For a start, I should have taken much more notice of the blurb which states that this book is not about love or a happily ever after.
This book is dark and deep and extremely thought provoking. It can be very hard reading at times and could be a trigger to some.
Jordan is a truly amazing character. She has had the most awful upbringing and is struggling in a life full of drugs and sex. Can The Shadow be her salvation and saviour. The Shadow also has a story to tell but he worries that Jordan would hate him if she knew the truth.
It’s hard to write much about the book without giving spoilers but I will say that it’s very dark, emotional and heartbreaking. For those who tend to have a good cry at raw, emotional stories, you will most likely need tissues to get through this book. It’s tough going but it’s most definitely worth the effort. Although it just might break you in the process.
