This is the third book of the Deadly Isles Special Ops series, and you really should read them in order. I loved this series. This one focuses on Malina and Tyler. Malina is a sweet girl who grew up with parents that loved her so much they sent her to live in the USA so she could live a normal life. There were some situations for her but she was able to blend in and not be noticed. Tyler is a SEAL who knows who he wants to spend the rest of his life with, but will past issues come back to stop that future? It’s such a great book Totally recommend this series and this author!

This is an author that I have enjoyed from the first book I picked up of hers. I enjoyed this military romance story. It is a well developed story that has characters that not only bring the story to life but also brings the action. The characters are relatable and kept the story engaging. I enjoyed the suspense they brought to the story. It is fast paced, easy to read and entertaining. This is the story of Maggie, Adam and Frank. All three have their differences but will they be able to put things aside? Not only that Maggie is left to decide where her heart lies. What will fate have in store for these three and will someone die before it is all figured out? This is a great story that I had a hard time putting down. I highly recommend this book and this author.
Scorching Hot Mess by Brooke May a fun five-star read. This author always makes me smile as I read their work, and this was no different. I so enjoyed this story, Willow reminded me so much of someone I know, and she knows I think she is a hot mess. Watching her as she goes on her journey made me laugh so hard at times I snorted. There are so many great characters but Willow was the one for me.

This is a dark romance box set that I enjoyed. This is a collection of three stories about Lexi and her journey from dark to light. Each book is well written, engaging and page turners. Lexi is a character that is connectable but also she brought the stories to life for me. The story was an emotional roller coaster but that just added to the stories. Lucca is everything she thinks she needs and wants but is he really that good for her? I highly recommend this box set. I am glad I picked it up and so will anyone who enjoys dark romance stories.
This is a dark story that I loved. This is a story that could cause triggers for some but if you can get past that, this is a really great story. This is a well developed story that pulled me in from the beginning and kept me engaged. It is a page turner that I had a hard time putting down. The characters are relatable and made the story feel realistic. The MC has had nothing but pain in his life and he has tried to run from it. Now there is a chance that his life could change. I really enjoyed this story and what the characters brought to the story. What happens when life hands you lemons? I highly recommend this book, it is worth the pick up hands down.

Peaceful Slumber by Nikki Lynn Barrett a fantastic five-star read. This is number one in the Soul Connection series and well I am so eager for the rest, I have read this author previously but not this genre and well it is done so well. This has it all, its very easy to read, and the multiple POV keeps the story fresh, and keeps you hooked and reading. The whole story will enrapture you, and keep you guessing all the way through. Scott and Zelda will just keep you hooked as you meet them and get to know them both remembering with Zelda. This is a great story, and I can’t wait for more.

I listened to this book and from the get go i was chuckling. It was a good read. I would recommend this one if you like shifters and witches.
This is my first book from this author and i will be looking into her others.
She has a way of making humour come out evenly throughout the book without it going over board. The story kept you interested. A good hook to see to the end.
Even though i haven’t read much in the way of shifter’s with witches it was interesting mix for green eyes.

Electric Temptation by Toya Richardson a thrilling four-star read. This is number five in the Protectors series, and its best to read them in order as they do read best that way. Delilah and Mason will leave you breathless, they have a second chance, but will they get chance to get it. This has magical chemistry and just a great magic overall. Take a journey with Delilah and you won’t be disappointed. I really enjoyed how the story pulled together, I gave it four-stars as it seemed to jump a couple of times, and that detracted from the story. I am sure that it will not bother many, but it did me. I will say this series is just keeps its strength up all the way.

4 pout of 5 stars
This is the first book that I have read by these authors and I enjoyed the read. This book is a gripping interracial love story between a straight-edge lawyer and the criminal who loves her. An addictive combination of dark romance, crime fiction, and suspense. The characters are amazingly written with strong personalities and quirks.

Scorching Hot Mess was without a doubt one of the funniest stories I have read in a long time. Brooke May just captured the very essence of a thrilling and captivating read. I was enamoured by Willow and Gun. She was absolutely hilarious and her match was meat with Gun. The charismatic and enigmatic personalities were impossible to ignore, and was totally invested in them pursuing their happily ever after. Excitement was always at the turn of the page. Drama was never far behind. All that a reader could ever want at the tips of all page turning fingers. Willow and Gun were a couple that were meant to be. And the thrills and spills along the way just made their story that much more entertaining. Alcohol and raging hormones are never a good combination, but the level of passion and compatibility was electric. 4 stars

4 stars
After listening to the first book in the series I was really looking forward to settling down with Vengeance and it didn’t disappoint. Once again the narration was really easy to listen to and I was easily engaged in what I was listening to. I liked that the read time was quite short; I listened to it in 2 sittings. There were some triggers in the story that made it difficult to listen to at times especially as it’s spoken it really does feel like you are listening to someone’s real life. Quinn’s story is quite powerful to listen to and is definitely thought provoking! I admire her strength of character and I am looking forward to seeing where her story goes in the next instalment of this series!

I was excited to read the second in the Untold Stories series as I really enjoyed the first one and this one did not disappoint. After briefly meeting Red in the first book, I was excited to delve into her story and find out her Untold Story. Living in the land of Timbergard, fifteen-year-old Red hunts the woods in the night taking down the deadly super wolves that haunt the forest. After going on a quest with a returned Captain James Hook, nee Shaw, to the ash fields, she encounters a pack of wolves and must run for her life. She stumbles upon a mysterious tower that leads her to question all that she knows about the wolves in the wood. I really enjoy Flynn’s retellings of the classic fairytales. Her world building is brilliant, and the story envelops me. A really enjoyable read.

Amy McKinley just amazes me with how well she integrates every book in the Deadly Isles Special Ops series. Forged by Secrets is the third book and involves a plot crossing continents and espionage. Gabriela was a grief-stricken teen that had fled Venezuela after her parents and fiancé died. After changing her name to Malina, she does her best to not allow anyone to get emotionally close. Tyler Hale insisted on breaking through her coldness, and she ended up in a hotel room in Vegas. When she woke, she ran from committing to a relationship. Several weeks later Malina arrives at work only to be intercepted by her coworker, Anna. Upon Anna’s advice and seeing international agents at her work station, Malina runs. Uncertain of where to go, she remembers that Tyler had a house on a family-owned island. Tyler was still not back from a mission in Venezuela, but Malina decided to gamble on hiding in hopes that he would return.
I liked the way McKinley kept the intensity of Malina’s emotions realistic. If I was running and facing the obstacles that she encountered, I would be just as nervous. I know the Navy SEAL retains the appearance of being calm, and Tyler’s demeanor matched this. McKinley added the emotional distress he was concealing, and I wondered if the poor guy was going to end up with an ulcer at the end. The end of the book is open-ended just like the prequels, and I am hoping to continue reading any future sequels. I am confidently rating this a solid 5 stars.

Sure As Hell is an Urban Fantasy – Paranormal Romance mashup featuring a mischievous imp turned business man, an unruly, yet somehow sweetly innocent, pixie, a hot Nephilim bodyguard, mild BDSM elements, and LGBT+ relationship dynamics. This series is best read in order.

From Cornish pit mines to Jorvik back alleys, from the Mercian Court to beyond the North Sea, the Agneson clan continues their adventures across Midgard and the 9 realms: Scheming aldermen, duplicitous monks, slave drivers, dark elves, trolls, ghosts, shapeshifting witches, the legendary Norse Wild Hunt, and… a dragon!
With the fall of the Danish army at the battle of Ethandun, historical events scatter the Agneson family: Cub is enslaved in the Devonshire tin mines while Sorven stalks retribution in Jorvik; Kara is unwillingly propelled toward a convenient Saxon marriage while Karl and his crew are castaway on a mythic floating island. Separated and marooned, each is forced to tackle their challenges alone while the forerunner Thorfinn faces supernatural revenge, a battle to lift a Jarl’s curse and the release of his Jotenhiem wyrm in Midgard!
Can Cub escape his overseers in the tin pits of Devon? Can Kara evade her Saxon uncle’s plans for her marriage? Will Sorven succeed in his bloody revenge? Can Finn save a Jarl’s daughter and break a mysterious curse? Can the forerunner find and help his scattered family overcome their trials?
And what can Finn do with… a pet dragon?!?
Based on actual historical events and authentic legends, this epic fantasy follows the paths of the sons and daughters of Agne, Son of Ironfist in the Viking Era circa the year 880. Don’t miss this grand panoramic tale!

Twisted Throttle: Satan’s Devils MC Second Generation #3 by Manda Mellett is where the kids of the original MC members have grown up and taken over roles in the club. This thrilling ride is action packed and full of suspense, with danger and twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat. But what I love is the humour and brotherhood, the love and family that Manda gives us amongst the crazy and the intrigue. I am always so engrossed with Manda’s tales that they are over long before I am ready. I love that we got to see what is happening in the lives of old friends in this series.
Throttle is entranced by this knock out of a woman. But one night brings him into a game of cat and mouse of a deadly nature.

Five Stars
Have you ever had that feeling that the nothingness was bliss? That you can’t understand why you’re here? That all consuming feeling that things would be better if you were gone? That’s the emotions this books brings me. I remember being a teen and feeling like I shouldn’t exist. Feeling like I’m just that random character in a story that passes everyone like a ghost on a ship. Even as an adult there are times when life is too much. This story was amazing for the simple fact that we all can relate. Even the most joyful person you know has felt that darkness. As a mom with a soon to be teen daughter I understand and feel the fear. The thought that my daughter could feel this way hurts. Knowing that all you can do is let them know you are here. Man the feels this book brought out is just ugh. If you’re ready to step into your teenage shoes again and get a glimpse of what today’s youth are feeling read this book.
Kissing The Kavalier by Annette Nauraine was a really good read! I was instantly enraptured with the characters and storyline, and once I started reading this novel I didn’t want to put it down. For a historical romance, it was very interesting in the fact that you have the female main character dressing as a male. Since that was very taboo during that time period, it was very interesting to read about. I was shocked at the steam this novel produced! It was the perfect amount that left you wanting more. I was on the edge of my seat with most of this novel as well. I can’t wait to read more from this author in the future!

Even though this book was written for the young adult, I was hooked from the very start! Daisy seems to speak for us all when our spotlights are dimmed. I was drawn to this book because I related to Daisy’s struggle not just in high school but as a person. From the internal struggles to her physical abuse she’s going through, Daisy is one tough cookie but she feels the need to vent through the reader so her experience is quite harrowing but the reader sees her for who she is. Please pick up this and share in Daisy’s story of her life to see where it brings you.

This was a great book that I couldn’t put down. This is my favorite book in this series. I have read other books and series by this author and so I knew this would be a page turner. This story is full of romance, danger, suspense, wonderful characters and some characters that we have met before. The chemistry between Damian and Bryanna is off the charts. Will Damian be able to get Bryanna to safety and keep her safe? I was on the edge of my seat through a lot of this book. If you want to find out what happens between these two characters then this is a must read. This author will bring you into a story that will keep you captivated and entertained. I highly recommend this book.

Can she open herself up again or will she let her past determine her future? I think the thing I loved most about this book was watching Regan grow. She went through such a traumatic experience that could have beat her down forever. Watching her grow into her new confidence was great to read. This is a series I will definitely continue reading.

Daisy’s Darkness is a young adult story that has a dark theme. I really appreciate this author’s writing style. It is a story that makes you think throughout the book. You can feel the real struggles of the characters. The characters are complex and fully developed. The complex nature of the character’s feelings is fully relatable. This is about Daisy. She has many questions about her daily struggles and the pain she feels. Every day she is fighting to see light through all of her darkness. She is lonely but will she let others comfort her through this difficult point in her life? Will she come out of the darkness? I recommend this story to everyone and would recommend this to preteen and older.

This is the second book in the Untold Stories series. I loved this book just as much as the first one. I highly recommend reading the first book as characters flow into this story. I love the classic childhood stories, and these classic stories just got elevated. The story is a unique take on Little Red Riding Hood. Red is hunting for the Big Bad Wolf with Captain Hook entering into this story. How will it end? You will have to read this book to find that out for yourself.

Love Between the Lines by A.D. Brazeau is a book from The Page Turners Series. This is a delightful, chicklit, romance story featuring Marlowe Bennet. She is very relatable wanting to just live her life as a writer. The issue is she writes romance and has none in her life. Heath Rochester is a former model and now running his family’s bookstore and he has his sights on Marlowe. Will they or won’t they? You have to read this fun book to get the answer. I really enjoyed the characters and lightness of the story. I really needed a little romantic pick me up and this fit the bill. I look forward to more from this author in the future.
