My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Not surprising at all that Amy McKinley yet again blew my mind with this breathtaking story of love and a little bit of suspense and intrigue.
This Author just has a way of describing the scenery of the book that you don’t see every day.
You can feel her heart and soul in her writing.
And Moonlit Kiss is yet again a great example of Amy’s amazing work.
Moonlit Kiss is the story of Gianna and Sergio and it takes place in the beautiful world of Venice.

MORNIN THE SUPER BIRD – FINDS A WAY TO FIGHT EXTINCTION by JULES HEARTLY – Review by Anantha Rusum

Mornin: The Super BirdMornin: The Super Bird by Jules Heartly
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is such a sweet children’s book with nice illustrations. This is a story most children will relate to, especially those who are interested in the animals. There are many endangered species in this world and Mornin, the super bird realizes that he does not want to go extinct. He wants his friends and family to thrive and flourish. So he sets out with a staunch determination to keep the animals, and the nature from extinction and he passes on his learnings to the other birds and also to the young readers. It is a very captivating read, I enjoyed it thoroughly and I would give it to my boys to read it.

Motherland: A Tom Grant Novel (The Tom Grant Series Book 3) by Samantha Adair is a fast-paced action thriller story that had me turning page after page. I was unable to guess what was coming next and that to me is when you know the writer has great writing skills. It is packed with danger and adventure and so much more. I love Tom. Fulling a promise has never been so hard when Isabella finds herself facing against the odds, but failure is not an option and Tom is helping her even though he may have bit off more than he can chew.

Shield & Shade (Ascended Guardians Book 1) by Misty Hayes – Review by Lucy Vincent

Shield & ShadeShield & Shade by Misty Hayes
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

So, this was the first book by Misty Hayes that I’ve read. She currently has 4 books out, 3 are a trilogy and Shield and Shade are the start of a new series. It’s the story of a girl who’s life gets turned absolutely upside down- and shattered by family secrets. It’s full of so much action, and it’s such a page turner! I seriously cannot WAIT to see what the next book’s going to be about- and I’ll be reading her trilogy here soon! I can’t tell too much of what happened in the book without giving any spoilers, but if you’re someone who LOVES plot twists- this is definitely the book for you, and you will NOT regret it!!!!!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Moonlit Kiss pulled me in instantly and I didn’t want to put it down. I really want to go to Venice after reading this book.

Gianna gets a dream job in Venice. As she starts to learn more about the city she starts to feel like she’s home, why does she feel like she has been here before?
Fate steps in and Gianna ends up meeting Sergio. There is an instant connection between these two. They decide to see each other while Gianna is in Venice. Will they have more or will it be a short romance? Will fate step in again?

Overall I really enjoyed this read. We get suspense, mystery and so much more. The author does a great job with her writing, it feels like you are right there with the characters. We get twists and turns that added a great element to the story. If you’re looking for a great read, 1-click and get started today on this one. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Shield & ShadeShield & Shade by Misty Hayes
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A new take on Angels versus Demons. This book is a spinoff of the Blood Dagger Trilogy. Having not read that trilogy, I would still say this is a very good beginning to this part of the story. Zoey, a 15 year old high school student is just trying to get high grades and thinks of the day she can leave home. Having always suffered horrible nightmares and not knowing why it all starts to become clear when she learns about her family’s true nature.

Cruz is a 17 year old boy who divides his time between school, working at an ice cream shop and caring for his ill mother. When he and Zoey meet he is soon embroiled in things that are way over his head.

This book had solid world building and writing that keeps the reader engaged and wanting to know what else could possibly go wrong!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I love, love, love! Avenging Devil Part 1: Satan’s Devils MC San Diego by Manda Mellett! When I saw that this book was about Niran I was so excited. Niran is one of those characters from earlier books that I wanted to learn more about. Niran’s need to help and befriend Saffie, who he meets by chance when he goes to an appointment with Mary, just shows how awesome he is. You will have a hard time putting the book down at times.

A word of caution, the parts about Saffie’s past are hard to get through and might be a trigger for some people. It is a key part of the story of Niran & Saffie so I felt a warning was needed.

Four Stars

Of Fire and Bone is the third book in the Of Magic and Scales series by Natalina Reis. This is the final book in the series featuring Aiden and Naël, although I did see a blurb about a fourth book. This series should be read in order because they build on each other and you may miss some vital backstory if you miss a book. Aiden and Naël gather friends and family in this final battle. This book is filled with mystery, action, magical characters and a great romance. If you like MM or just great romance and adventure, I highly recommend this series. Natalina Reis is one of my one-click authors. I love how all of her books are different and exceptionally written.

Deliciously Sinful Liaisons AUDIO BOOK by L.M. Mountford – Review by Heidi Schoolman

Here you have an audiobook by L.M Mountford and narrated by Tia Johnson.  This is just under 8 hours listening time and contains 7 short stories.  These stories are Broken, Just Once, Valentine, Misadventures, Together in Sydney, Training Tracey, Blood Lust, and Sweet Temptations.  Side note: Not for under 18 years of age.  I would not recommend listening to this on speaker.  These are all great stories and HOT!  The author did a fantastic job writing these and the narrator did an equally fantastic job narrating.  It was not hard to get into the stories.  This author and these stories will give you everything you are looking for in sexy reading.

This was a really sweet story about faith and keeping you faith in really tough, trying times.i was unsure about how the story would work with the virgin birth coming from a male. But it worked really well. When the world was destroyed a miracle occurs when a 17 year old boy becomes pregnant.
Is it all a figment of the boys imagination or did he really get impregnated by the Virgin Mary?
As a non believer Leslie doesn’t know what to think. Is this really a miracle or is it something that was caused by the same thing that destroyed everything in its way. Will the outcome be enough to change her view and show her that God exists?

Deliciously Sinful Liaisons AUDIO BOOK by L.M. Mountford – Review by Kerry Baker

Deliciously Sinful Liaisons Audio Book by L.M. Mountford is a great collection of snapshots into future books by this author that I already cannot wait to read. Each and everyone one left me wanting more. I loved how all of these were different and yet had the distinct markers of this author. I love how engaged you can become with each of these books even though they are so short. They were great to be able to put one on to listen to in free moments because of this, it never felt like I had to refresh myself in what had happened to get back into the story.

This is a great way to introduce yourself to this author and to add even more books to your TBR list.

Wow! I still haven’t recovered from the book hangover from reading Avenging Devil Part One by Manda Mellett. I knew the book had a cliffhanger before I read it but I just wasn’t prepared for how emotional this book would make me feel and how much I wanted to throw my kindle away when I reached the end and realised that there wasn’t any more…for now!
I have been a huge fan of Manda Mellett for a couple of years now and absolutely adore the Satan’s Devil MC books. I swear that they get better and better each book I read. I don’t know how she has the imagination to continually bring new fresh stories about this wonderful group of men and the women who ensnare them.
She’s not afraid to tackle difficult issues and this book tackles the heartbreaking topic of pregnancy troubles (I wont say any more then that).
In this book we get the start of Niran and Saffie’s amazing story and we get an update on Grumbler and Mary from the last book. Saffie’s story is dark and heartbreaking. You are dragged through every emotion possible reading about her life previous to meeting Niran. I was totally hooked on this story and did not want to put it down. Why do we have to work to earn a living? It totally gets in the way of reading time and I did not want to take any breaks from this book. It’s definitely what’s described as a page turner.
If you really hate a cliffhanger so much then wait a few weeks for part 2 to come out but please read this book. You will not be disappointed.

Deliciously Sinful Liaisons

AUDIO BOOK

By L.M. Mountford

☆☆☆☆☆

A note of caution!  This set of books are not for those under 18. Due to steamy adult themes. Please remember to listen through earbuds when out and about. Some things are not for everybody.

The stories listed are

Broken

Just Once

Valentine Misadventures

Together in Sydney

Training Tracy

Blood Lust

Sweet Temptations

This is a collection of 7 short stories. Two of which are left in cliffhangers. You are safe to assume I will be getting those stories to finish reading. These stories have 7 steamy men looking to have fun. Even though some are short, they fit in perfectly when you have a small time frame to fill. Just be careful, you may heat up while reading.

L.M. Mountford has written this collection of stories. Each one has so many details, nothing is left out. They all read well and keep you entertained. Because the stories are short, just means you get right to the good stuff. Be assured I will be looking for more stories from this New To Me author. Well Done L.M. Mountford! Well Done!

Turning Wheels (Satan’s Devils MC #1) by Manda Mellett – Review by Chrissy Spulak

Turning Wheels (Satan's Devils MC, #1)Turning Wheels by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Turning Wheels (Satan’s Devils MC #1) by Manda Mellett is the first book in this series. I was not familiar with this author, but took a leap, and I am glad I did. The main character, Sophie, is endearing and relatable as they come, and her story is definitely an original twist on the everyday romance. The author’s way of telling Sophie’s story is interesting and vivid and keeps the pages turning. You really don’t know what is going to happen next! The juxtaposition of Sophie and Wraith make this a very steamy, very intriguing romance story that kept me hooked until the very end. I love these two characters together. This is not a book you want to pick up at bed time to “wind down.” Unless you really just want to keep reading until you hear the birds sing, then go ahead!! This is really a great read. 5 stars.

I love action movies and this could pass for a manuscript for one and that is saying something. Cannot wait for the rest of this series!

Moonlit Kiss (A Venice Romance) (Moonlit Destination Series) by Amy McKinley – Review by Ashley Dover

Moonlit Kiss (A Venice Romance)Moonlit Kiss by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Italian-American Gianna Bellini has come to Venice to restore and complete a fresco mural for Francesca Marcello whom she met in the States. Part of the job description is to restore that painting to its original splendor and then to complete the third section which had not been completed.

Upon arrival to Venice, Gianna has an unsettling experience as she walks the streets and feels like this isn’t her first time in Venice. After a gondola tour of the city provided by her sponsor, Gianna has an experience that leaves her disoriented. When she pulls herself back to reality, she finds herself in the arms of a handsome Italian man, Sergio.

Feeling an instant attraction, Gianna and Sergio begin dating. Gianna has vivid dreams of a time a century before when a forever love was abruptly taken from a couple. Can Sergio hold onto her as these dreams keep haunting her? Will their love be the forever love that puts these spirits to rest?

This is a remarkable story of the past and the present laying the foundation for a love that can only be described as predetermined by the fates. Amy McKinley does it again! I have enjoyed every book that I have read that is written by her. I will keep coming back for more of her stories.

Shield & Shade (Ascended Guardians Book 1) by Misty Hayes – Review by Amber Flory

Shield & Shade: Ascended Guardians SeriesShield & Shade: Ascended Guardians Series by Misty Hayes
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I’m afraid I’m going to be a critic on this one. It made me want to read Cassandra Clare’s shadowhunter series again; similar genre that I enjoy.
To start, Shield & Shade is not a standalone book. It’s technically a spinoff of her Blood Dagger trilogy, but it has little story of its own. It constantly refers to the events in the previous series leaving holes in the back story that one hopes would be filled by reading the Blood Dagger Trilogy. Second, this book is action scene after action scene. There was only a few “chill, get to know you” scenes at the beginning of the book, the rest were action. And, while I enjoy the changing POV, I found it jarring to start the book off with switching back and forth between benign high school life to running for his life; maybe if it had continued alternating action/calm throughout the book, it might have flowed better. As is it felt disjointed. Overall, I found this a hard book to enjoy. Though the idea of the story was intriguing, I feel it needed more polish. I’m sorry!

The Divine DevilsThe Divine Devils by R. Weir
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Kidnappings, revenge, foreign terrorists are just a few of the action packed adventures in this book. From page 1, the author grabs your attention by jumping right into the thick of things. Paige and Jose are just trying to protect their children from being kidnapped, which has happened multiple times recently. Paige has brought in Hunter Divine and his team to protect them. Hunter, Athena, Camryn, and the rest of the team have their hands full trying to figure out who the game master is. Who is really pulling the strings? I have to say that the author did a great job with the characters. I truly loved Olivia. She started out as a spoiled bratty teenager and I watched her throughout the story become a strong, courageous young woman who kicks butt when the time calls for it. She could really defend herself. A book of strength and courage. I was very excited to see it’s a series. I can’t wait to read the next one.

Holy Hot Mess Batman! Just finished this phenomenal story! This author does this to me every time I read one of her books. I just sit and stare because I’m always trying to figure out what I just read and I’m also sad that I finished. There is something about this author’s writing style that ropes me in from word one and literally does not let go, even after I finish. She is a master storyteller and I just can’t get enough!!

This one had me so messed up. Who should she trust? I swear I was still waiting for another ball to drop right up till the last paragraph. I felt like I was in this book with Molly and my reading instincts had me all over the dang place. Towards the end I was actually wiping tears away so I could see the words. I just don’t know what to say..Not going to give anything away except to say You have to read this book, I know I will be reading it again and again in the future. It is so emotionally gripping, suspenseful, scary, sad, happy, confusing, and filled with some of the most talented writing I’ve ever read. I’m still in awe and just know that I won’t be picking up another book for a day or two. I worked too hard during this one and will need to recuperate LOL

I loved this book so so much, and already miss all of the people involved in this story! UGH!!

This is a fun, easy read, with plenty of romance and suspense. I am a bit of a sucker for a bit of tragedy and a bit of mystery, and of course, love conquers all. I also loved how Venice really came to life, having visited previously, and I loved all of the historical details, the old art, and the cultural elements that continue today. The ghostliness and the thinness of the veil of time were really intriguing and transportive, and I loved where the plot ended up. I have not read this author before but I look forward to reading other books by Amy McKinley soon!

Deliciously Sinful Liaisons AUDIO BOOK by L.M. Mountford – Review by Bobbi Wagner

This is my first audio by this author which I loved from the beginning to end.  The narrator made it fun and entertaining to listen too.  Using different tones of voice I was pulled into the story from the beginning.  . This is a collection of seven stories that are full of steam, hot men and women.  The characters make the stories feel real, as if you are right there with them.   I also loved how the narrator brought the story to life with each character.  This is a really great audio to listen to and I highly recommend it.

OMG what I just read is amazing. Manda Mellett has done it again with Avenging Devil Part 1. I couldn’t put it down after starting it. I was hooked from the beginning of this series and this novel just makes it even more. Manda Mellett is a fantastic author and storyteller. Warning there is a mega huge cliffhanger at the end of this novel. I can’t wait for part 2 to come out so I can see what happens to Saffie and Niran. Avenging Devil is the third novel in this series and I think the best one yet. Manda Mellett keeps things consistent with characters and they make reappearing roles in the novels.
