Kerrie Noor wrote The Rise of Manifesto The Great. This is a Sci-Fi story which is one of the prequels to the Planet Hy Man book. It is to give a back story to the book. This has many comical points to the book. There is a battle of the sexes happening on planet Hy Man. The battle did not occur until a new group arrived on the planet. WIll the planet improve with the new group or will it suffer? This is a page-turner from the first page until the last. This was a fun story from the first page until the last. I recommend this book for some fun reading.

After Teagan’s grandma dies, she is left with a magical inheritance to work with. Then, the carnival comes to Firewater Springs, FL, and, with it, a whole host of awesome, paranormal characters. This is the second book in the Blackwater Magic Book series, and I admit to not having read the first one beforehand. That being said, it was still super easy to fall into the pages and get wrapped up in Teagan’s story and the stories of her friends, specifically Oliver. I had no problems keeping up with the story and enjoyed all aspects despite not having read book number one. This is a quick read, but it is not lacking in imagination and creativeness. I took in this book quickly and need to get my hands on the first book in the series. I give Carnival of Shadows by Leslie Scott 4 out 5 stars.

Jaru and Larkspur will give you all the feels with their love story. Each new book is better than the last. I couldn’t lay this book down. I read it in one day, love it. I can’t wait for the next one.

Moonlit Kiss by Amy McKinley was a very good read with a good storyline and good characters. I have read other books by this author that I loved but, didn’t have the same reaction to this one. However, I did enjoy the book but, it took me a few chapters to get into it and it was a slow burn for me. I guess that’s a good thing because as your reading, you think eh…it’s ok but then it gets good lol
The main characters Gianna and Sergio have never met before but once Sergio steps in to help Gianna when she falls there is an instant attraction. They feel like they have met before but, neither of them could remember meeting. Gianna has never been to Venice but everything seems so familiar to her. Even back streets she takes without having to look at the map. The main reason Gianna is in Venice is for a job to restore an old painting. She jumped at the chance to do it. Then she realizes one panel isn’t finished. Who will finish the original painting. I’m sure you will enjoy this read. I’m glad I kept reading to see what the book was about. This book is a stand alone and can be read as one but the other books in the series are definite “don’t want to miss out on” books.

Teagan Blackwater is a young woman with extraordinary power, she is still reeling from the loss of her grandmother and the reality that it was her mother who killed her, she is finding the house too quiet and the routine impossible to settle into, not to mention keeping her young teenage friend out of trouble and running the trailer park in Firewater Springs she has inherited. Thankfully, she has her friends to help her out and keep her grounded, that is until a Carnival rolls into town and starts to disrupt the tenuous control she has over herself.
Talking of her teenage neighbour, she has a slight problem, her teenage hormones have gotten the best of her and she has managed to do something a little drastic when her current flavour of the month was moving too fast for her liking, it is easily sorted out, but the revelation which comes with it is less appealing. The cover up is a bit easier, a local police officer turns up after getting a call about a drunken teenager, however, after his vest camera is turned off, he asks for the truth of the matter, and when Teagan tells him some of the truth, he understand that things are not as they seem around there, that could be because he is one of those something else’s, he exudes a certain power which can only mean one thing, he is supernatural as well and he is smoking hot too! When he leaves, after asking Teagan on a date, he throws in that the MC club nearby is looking a bit too quiet and that maybe Teagan should go check it out seeing as she used to date one of them and owes a favour to another, however, when she gets there, things are definitely not good, she gets the feeling that she shouldn’t be there and that she also isn’t wanted there and she knows this means that when demi-demons are worries, that something is terribly wrong.
After this experience, she decides to ask the local hottie cop to meet her to talk about what she has just seen and heard and so she decides to go to a local watering hole to try and steady her nerves and meet him there to kill two birds with one stone, however, things don’t go to plan when she is given another warning by a set of supernatural twins and then is party to a show of the powers the Circus contains. This power is nothing she has seen before and it is so strong that everyone around her is affected by it, apart from her and the cop, their combined influence keeps them safe, but also opens them up to something even more dangerous, each other, especially when an ex brings out the testosterone in the group.
While Teagan and her friends come up with a plan to defeat this Circus of Shadows, Teagan is more and more drawn to the cop and asks him for help investigating the Carnival and the paranormal freakshow it contains, but when they find out who is behind it and what they are after, life becomes even more dangerous and complicated than it already is. Will Teagan and her friends be able to defeat the Carnival before Firewater Springs succumbs to its demands, or will the place they love fall into the clutches of the Shadows surrounding them? This is a paranormal romance with plenty of supernatural action which will pull you along with the investigation and have you rooting for Teagan and the others all the way to its conclusion, but to find out how it ends, you have to read it to believe it.

Gianna Bellini is an artist, as well as working on her own projects, she also restores art as well, it has always been a dream of hers to visit Italy and in particular Venice and Rome, so when she is sought out for a position restoring and completing a century-old fresco in Venice, she can think of nothing she would enjoy more, so she packs her bags and heads out on the first available flight. On her first evening there, she decides to go out and explore the city in the moonlight before heading to the apartment she will be stating in, but as she takes in the sights and although she does feel safe, she also feels an eerie familiarity with the city and hasn’t a need for the map she has already pulled up on her phone, all too soon, she arrives in the Piazza San Marco and decides to stop for a bite to eat in one of the restaurants and watch life passing in the Piazza as she enjoys a glass of wine and the orchestral music in the background.
After she finishes, she calls the woman who hired her to let her know that she has made it to Venice safely and that she will start work the next day, however employer has other ideas and has organised a Gondola ride around the city for her instead as a way of inspiring her creativity, Gianna thanks her and heads to the villa. As she walks, she becomes turned around as a dog crawls in from the sea, but when she hears a man crying out for a woman, she cannot help but respond, however, when she sees him, he too is familiar to her, but when he walks her to the villa, she thinks nothing more of it when she sees the fresco she will be working on in the moonlight before she prepares to go to bed.
The next morning Gianna prepares a cup of coffee and decides to take a look at the fresco in the daylight while she drinks it, she then reads the note which her employer has left her recommending the pains she will need in her work and decides to put the order in a the recommended shop before heading out on her tour. The gondolier takes her round the canals as he tells her about some of the history of the city and the sights he points out to her, she takes some photographs and immerses herself in the lessons until it comes to and end, when she is just about to get out of the gondola, she is crippled by a bout of sickness which leaves her dizzy and disoriented and about to plunge into the cold waters when a pair of strong arms surround her and pick her up. Gianna immediately feels a sense of comfort within the mystery man’s arms and doesn’t want him to let her go and this is heightened when she starts to talk to him. He introduces himself as Sergio Vitale and they agree to spend lunch together so he can keep an eye on her.
As the meal progresses they talk and cannot deny that they are attracted to each other, so when they swap phone numbers, it is with the intention of seeing each other again. As the days pass and turn to weeks, Gianna spends time with her work and with Sergio, their relationship blossoms, but Gianna is plagued with vivid dreams which seem too real and as she talks about the fresco with Sergio she cannot understand how she will finish it, all the while the the dreams become more vivid and they start to encroach on her waking self as well. Will Gianna and Serdio be able to find out what the final panel should look like, or will one of the historical stories of Venice repeat itself once again? This is a romance with a historical twist where past and present collide in a mysterious puzzle which needs to be solved and will keep you guessing until the end.
Hot and steamy are the perfect words for this series of stories! This is the first time I’ve experienced this author but L.M Mountford lives up to the name “The Lord of Lust”! There is no shortage of action and the author is not afraid of getting right to what the listeners want. A great performance by the reader, Tia Johnson, who really got into character and brought the stories to life. Each story was original, no two were alike, except that each one left you wanting more. If you are not shy, these stories are for you!

This is a really good book! Teagan Blackwater, the Swamp Witch, protects her town from all unsavory demons and monsters that infiltrate her protective wards. Her powers were taught to her by her grandmother who raised her, as her mother is a dark witch with black blood magic. When the evil carnies come to town, she is forced to step up her game and learn how to send demi-demons packing.
Loved the character of Teagan, she was powerful but complex and vulnerable at the same time. The story is a race, and the battle scenes are full of action and very fun. I didn’t realize when I picked this book up that it was the second book in the series. I wish I had read that one first, as I suspect I missed some of the history and connections, but despite that I really liked this work. I would definitely read more by Leslie Scott.

The Arsonists Handbook: A Gripping Psychological Thriller by L.A. Detwiler is the first book I’ve read by this author. It was an interesting tale, but I personally struggled with the writing style and the unlikable characters, as there was no one I actually wanted to get to know more. I was hoping for more dialogue but I understand how it was written based on the title of this book. It did have a good plot and storyline, with an ending I didn’t see coming, but it was an overall long read for me only because of the writing style and over detailed manor of the book. I know this will be a good read for many, but for me, it was difficult to hold my interest.
Something about this dark and ominous cover drew me in right away and I just had to know what the story was behind it. I am so glad I one-clicked and dove right in. I was immediately sucked into this dark and twisty crime thriller that took me on a ride that kept me up well into the night as I read further and further to know how this story would come to a conclusion. The best part of this book ending, and the only good part lol, is that it is the first in a new series from R Weir so we are bound to be getting a lot more of this dark crime thriller read and detective story line and I cannot wait! This introduces us to Hunter Divine, a former US Marshall with a whole lot of issues and a dark past that gives him all the reasons for the issues. He has the past revisit him when an ex calls on him for help. This is only the beginning of the drama and suspense. I won’t divulge more details because that would only spoil the fun but take my word for it, you won’t want to miss this one!

I found this to be a musky amusing and entertaining book that certainly piqued my interest. I really didn’t know what to expect when I started reading this book – as a new author to me I felt like I was going in blind to an extent. I do have to say that I struggled at times to connect with the book – possibly because this is a prequel to an already established series that I haven’t read. However overall I found this to be an enjoyable story and a unique concept. It has certainly caught my attention enough that I will be reading the main series.

This is such a beautiful book to read. The author does an amazing job of building the scene so you feel like you are actually in Venice and experiencing all the things our leading lady Gianna is seeing and feeling. This is a romance but I love how this romance comes across as a love that was created years before. You are taken on a breath taking ride which leaves you questioning things you thought and falling in love with the people who lived in Venice in the past as well as the present.
Gianna was hired to help restore a beautiful piece of art. Created years ago but an artist and pictured his love for a woman. However their love wasn’t meant to be and they both died tragically. While Gianna is working on this she experiences dreams and visions of the people in their past lives. Who they were, why they couldn’t be together and the heartbreak then both suffered all helps her feel the complete story. While Gianna is working she meets a guy called Sergio. The attraction between them is instant and when they solve the puzzle of the missing part of the picture together you have to think is their meeting and romance coincidence or is it part of a higher plan? Is fate finally allowing the love that should have happened the first time to blossom or will the spirits of the past stop it all over again.

I enjoyed this historical romance story. This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites by her yet. This is a well written story about a thief who is trying to restore a right and then you have the viscount who needs to find a bride before the month is out. He has a solution to his problem when he gives this thief a choice. What will happen next you will need to read this book to find out. The characters are great and made the story fun to read. They brought life to the story as well as kept me turning pages to the end. They have great chemistry and just made the story for me. This is one of my favorite genes and I highly recommend this book.

This is an author I never hesitate to pick up. Her attention to details and her writing skills make her stories entertaining, fun to read and just overall awesome stories. This book is no different. This is the third book in this series which I highly suggest reading the previous books as well as they are just as great. I loved being pulled into the story from the beginning. The characters are connectable and had me turning pages fast. They truly made the story for me. Nael, Aiden and other magical friends are back in this story in their final adventure. As life never goes the way you want it, Aiden is just looking to spend some time with his boyfriend. But is life really that easy? Will fate step in and take over? What happens to these characters I highly recommend reading this book to find out. You don’t want to miss out on this book, this series and this author.

I love when a series of books can be read independently or together as a series, and book two of the Deadly Isles Special Ops series does not disappoint. Exploring a romance between two characters you meet in book one, the second book is more romantic and sweet, like a velvety dessert to the main dish of the fast-paced suspense from the first book. Bound by Secrets also has a bit of mystery to it, and a light element of the supernatural, which gave me goosebumps and almost made me tear up. I’m not much of a crier, so that’s saying a lot. I love that the author continued to surprise me in book two, leaving me trying to piece together the mystery without enough hints to predict the ending. Super quick read and left me satisfied, but anticipating the next book. This book (and series) should be on everyone’s summer reading list!

Cute book with a great message! This book is a great way to teach children about extinction and how they can help. I liked that it was written from the bird’s perspective. This would be a good book for lower elementary students to get them to help animals. Teachers could include this book in their science units. The little song the birds sang was adorable and kids would love it.

Witches and demons and werewolves, oh my! If you like any (or all) of those you are going to love this book and series! Carnival of Shadows (Black Water Magic Book 2) is the second book in this Urban Fantasy series by Leslie Scott, and frankly, I really hope there is a third!! I loved how the characters were developed and each had a specific way of helping Teagan. Teagan Blackwater is just trying to get on with her life after her mother killed her grandmother Nola. This meant Teagan became the swamp witch of Firewater Springs and now she is responsible for protecting the town! When a not-so-typical carnival arrives in town, Teagan must rush to save the residents of Firewater Springs before it is too late. With the help of the local sheriff, Sean, who just so happens to be her new beau, her ex-boyfriend a biker demi-demon, and friends Oliver, Shelley, and Anna, can they defeat the ringmaster and save the residents and Firewater Springs? You will just have to read it and find out!

Mornin The Super Bird Mornin Finds A Way To Stop Extinction By Jules Heartly ☆☆☆☆☆ What a fun and educational story for children. This is a picture book of about 50 pages. But within those pages, children will learn about the different birds and their habitats. As Mornin goes about his day of picture taking, he discovers some birds are missing. He called upon his friends (the readers) to help save the planet. This story is well written and easy for the younger children to follow. I enjoyed this story as well as having one of my oldest grandchild read it to the others, so I could watch their reactions. They Loved It! Well done Jules Heartly! Well Done!

Amy McKinley has done it again. I really have found a new favourite author! This girl can write, and she does it really well! In Moonlit Mirage, Cade Malone is in a car accident and an underwater angel saves him but then disappears. Years go by and he continues to think about her and what she did but still has not found her. He vows that if he ever does, he won’t let her get away. When their paths finally cross, secrets from the past are revealed which could make or break their chance at a relationship but the truth must be revealed. I thought this book was the perfect length! It was a quick read that caught my attention right from the beginning and held it for the entirety. I also liked that it tied into another of Amy’s series which made me want to buy and read them too!

I really enjoyed this book. I thought the story was the perfect length to introduce us to Fiona and Connor. This story is the perfect example of the one that got away but came back for that second chance at love! Amy did it again with a sweet 5-star contemporary read that kept my attention throughout and I can only hope she will write about these 2 characters again in the future! Fio is asked to tutor a 4th-year transfer football student by her father, the coach. Little did she realize it was Connor, who left and went across the pond to pursue his soccer career and left her behind. Life went on after Connor left, but when he returns Fiona has choices to make about the one she loves.
Moonlit Kiss was an enjoyable 4-star read. Amy’s books always find a way of grabbing the reader and making them want to read more and more. I enjoyed the flow of this book and the fact that it took place in Venice. The history that is described is really neat and makes you feel like you were right there alongside Gianna experiencing it firsthand. After Gianna lands a job restoring a century-old fresco painting in Venice she packs her bags and travels to Italy to begin the restoration. Once she arrives, she feels the eerie familiarity of the city and realizes she has been here, but not in her current lifetime. When local Sergio rescues Gianna after a mishap near a canal-side café, the two begin a friendship that turns to more. As Gianna progresses on the restoration project, she turns to her new relationship to help with an important missing piece and to help with haunting dreams of the past and events of the present. I really enjoyed this story and I did not see the ending coming! If you enjoy a bit of romance with some suspense added then I would highly recommend this book!

I started reading Amy McKinley for the first time with this series. While the first two books were quickies in reading time-wise, this one was a bit longer. I enjoyed reading Gianna and Sergio’s story. The way that Mckinley describes the locations, *insert a chief kiss here* paints a pretty picture. One that made me feel like I was actually there with Gianna. I would definitely recommend this book.

This book was a super quick book. But it was a delightful read. Fiona, Lachlan, and Connor. Who does she choose? The Boy who left and is now back? Or the boy who stayed and was there when she needed someone the most? Though it was a quick book it still packed a bit of a punch. I quite enjoyed this book.
I couldn’t put this book down, and am already anticipating starting the next book in the series. The characters are easy to invest in quickly and the story develops in a way that keeps you guessing until the end. I loved the way the author pieced things together, giving clues without giving a clear outcome. There were a few different theories I had built in my head as I read the book, and was still left surprised. Everything I look for in a quick, fun read: a sense of the setting, character development that’s not too overbearing, a little romance, some mystery, and not too predictable. Definitely recommending this to my friends!

Although this was somewhat of a long book and took me some time to complete because life has been crazy and my reading time limited, I absolutely loved every bit of this book!! OMG I felt at times like I was reading a live movie that I was watching and could literally see all of this playing out. I could not get it off my mind when I had to put it down and rushed to pick it back up. The build up of this story was sheer perfection…I normally don’t want backgrounds and such but every word and every page was pulling me in more and more as the story progressed. My mind was going every which way through this book trying to figure out who was behind everything going on. I now know how far off base I stayed throughout LOL I have read enough books that now I suspect everyone and in this case I was on the edge of my seat realizing I was completely unaware of what was happening.
I especially loved the characters in this book. Each one with their own story, each one with their own quirks. I loved how they all came together as one and then the added in support just blew me away. I could go on forever talking about each of these people, each one important and all of them I hope to see again in the coming books. I love where this is going, and I have high hopes for this team growing even closer. I was left with questions of one character in particular and have so many ideas about how that could still play out in the future of this series. I hope there is much more to come on that character.
I am so so so excited for this series, I can not wait for the next (and I want one of those t-shirts lol) and although this is only my 2nd book by this author I will be reading anything and everything I can get my hands on.

This book was one of those quick but cute books. It took me about thirty minutes to read. Nadia and Cade are cute together. They both have struggled with things that I will not mention due to spoilers and I’m not about that spoiler life. The book is fast pace. Yet it isn’t to the point that you will be scratching your head asking what happened. My main takeaway was that it was a cute story about a cute couple.

Teagan Blackwater is just trying to get her life back together after her mother killed her grandmother. Along comes the twisted carnival with their evilness. Teagan, along with Colby and the rest of the MC, Sean,, Olive, Shelley, and Anna have to figure out how to stop them. Lots of adventure, action-packed drama, surprises and twists. I was sitting on the edge of my seat rooting for Teagan feeling like I was going through it with her. The author did a fantastic job of making the characters feel real and very personable. I love the plot. It felt real, kept the flow and you just couldn’t put the book down because it kept you hooked. Didn’t see that ending. Can’t wait to see more from this author!

This is my first book from this author. I really enjoyed it. The Author really dives into making characters and plot memorable. I have to admit, I finished it in one sitting. I was captivated from the beginning to the end. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.

This is my first book by this author. Although this should be a reverse harem, it is very tame. Nothing much happens aside from a few kisses and some erotic thoughts. Grey is the Don of the Underworld and is hot as hell (pun intended). Raef is a Demi god and is just as beautiful. Aroz is an angel, golden wings and all. All three are attracted to the same lovely lady. Vanessa has an inner beauty that spreads to everyone that she touches. Unknowingly she gets on the bad side of the goddess of beauty. Having the wrath of a god against her puts her in mortal danger. With her brother terminally ill, she has tried everything to save him. Will she have to make a deal with the devil?
I like the main characters and am happy that the author integrated some Greek mythology into the story. It was refreshing and it’s something that I love. The premise of the story is interesting but I found it somewhat slow. The book ends on a cliffhanger which I never particularly like. I think the series has potential and I want to see what happens next so I will be looking for part two.
