This is the first book in the Southern Promises Series. It  is a beautiful romance about two people who went to school together meeting up again at their high school reunion and falling in love.
The characters are well written that you feel invested in them. What I liked about this story was there wasn’t any danger of someone splitting them up. This romance grew and blossomed.

Clay is a songwriter and Katie is a successful insurance executive. Both of them have successful lifes and have done well since school. Clay has always liked Katie but always felt she was out of his league but now that’s changed.

When they meet again at the school reunion the sparks and attraction was still there and after spending the night together they decide to give a long term relationship a try. Can they make it work? Both are focused on their careers but will they be able to make room for each other in their lives?
