Dark, gritty and thrilling.
Oh wow! So not what I was expecting. This is told from a different character’s POV than the first book but has some crossover. I do suggest that you read these in order as the background from book one is needed to understand the plot. There is a good balance between the romance and the ongoing mystery which I really enjoyed. The character’s emotions are so well written and the struggles with his gift just bled off the pages and had my heart racing. Now to wait to see where the author takes this in book 3.
