The Myder Bird Tattoo by Julia Colbourn – Review by Erica Shoebridge
The Myder Bird Tattoo by Julia Colbourn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This book is seriously amazing. At the start, I was a bit disengaged, as I found it hard to empathize with the ethereal, detached Ellisians. When I saw the heroine, Elfern, start to remember herself and act with bravery, honesty, and kindness, I was totally hooked. Colbourn has created an amazing world filled with life. There are so many characters in this book, and each have their own personalities, fears, and strengths. Elfern is such a rich character you can’t help but love her. The struggle between factions was handled with compassion and clarity, and I was so engrossed in this world that I read this whole book through in one shot. Will there be more to the saga? I sincerely hope the Colbourn has a long and illustrious career as a writer, because I’ll be buying whatever she’s selling. Do yourself a favour and read The Myder Bird Tattoo!
