BOY RELEASED (BOY SERIES BOOK 2) by JD Spero

4 out of 5 Stars

In this sequel to Boy On Hold, we jump ahead to Tyler being released from the psychiatric facility and moving home to Marcella’s. Marcella has moved away from the neighborhood where the incident happened. Marcella and Bernie have purchased and are running a motel in a resort community.

The past comes back to haunt this family trying to make a brand new start. Tyler is adapting to freedom. Everyone is adapting to having Tyler home. Hen is coming to grips with his impending inheritance and the burden it carries. An attack on Marcella leaves everyone believing the worst about Tyler. Was it the sins of the past catching up with the future? Could it be Tyler?

Again, J.D. Spero leaves the reader on slow burn. You know what happened but find yourself questioning what you know. Could it be Tyler? And, then BAM! The world tilts and the sunshine differently. I don’t know what happens next in Hen’s world, but I am along for the ride. Brava!!! J.D., brava!
