This is the fourth book in this series. We follow Carter who is known as the healing brother of the group. And we meet Vanessa, the small town jeweler.
This book is incredibly fast paced. I was able to finish it in one night, and to be fair I didn’t want to put it down anyways.
I cannot wait for the next in this series as there is one more brother, who is very mysterious.

I am in LOVE with this series. I loved the book before this but so far this one is my favorite.
Be warned there is a trigger warning for abuse and sexual abuse.
We follow Max Broderick, one of our beloved Broderick brothers. And very quickly his powers of talking with animals is a wonderful benefit to him. As he meets Claudia.
This book was also so hard for me to put down. It was filled with adventure, true emotions and the overwhelming feeling of love.
I truly can’t wait to read the next in the series.
This is book two in the Broderick Coven series. We follow our two main characters Ethan and Serena. Ethan is new to his powers and learning how to use them as the oracle.
He is teamed up with our lovely high priestess Serena.
It was a refreshing read to me as many books only portray women as witches and never men. With a new spin on magical reads it was one I didn’t want to put down. Even without reading the first in the series I was able to tell who was who and felt for every character. I cannot wait to read the next in this series! I loved this so much! Okay. Finished this book early this morning. Like the second I woke up I HAD to finish. I really enjoyed the characters from her last book and i LOVED Zoe and Archer even more. Once more the storyline was captivating- there was only a few times I had to take a break from the book. (Definitely made me emotional- that’s as much a spoiler as I’m giving!) This book was even sexier and darker than the last one. Anyone not reading this series is missing out. On to the next! 💖

Avenging Devil is the second part of the Avenging Devil story and the fourth book in the Satan’s Devils MC San Diego Series by Manda Mellett. It is a true wonder how Ms Mellett comes up with all of the chapters of the Satan’s Devils MC. The second part of this story had to be told, but please read at least the Avenging Devil Story in order to get the full effect. Ms. Mellett is a one click author for me. She writes intense books with lots of detail, sometimes dark , and what I believe is an accurate account of the inner workings of a MC. This is the continuation of Saffie and Niran’s story, and it is amazing. I highly recommend this book, series, and author. Review by @sunbarn

So this is my first book/series I’ve read by India Kells and boy… you will experience emotions. I did anyway. The writing is so vivid and easily transported me to her world. Aleksei and Deva both tore at my heart throughout the book. I LOVED their characters and interactions. Lazarus King is a favorite too. Who doesn’t like a silver fox? At least that’s how I imagine him. 🥰 If anyone is looking for a sexy, thrilling, romance- check this out! Onto the next!

Gets better and better! I am totally smitten with this series. Tasha and Levi are now on my list of favourite book couples. The story just keeps getting better and just when you think there just couldn’t be more, another twist and off we go! The author has taken the cross-species paranormal theme but evolved it into something brilliantly different. I can’t recommend this series enough if you are after a refreshing paranormal fantasy.

Paranormal masterpiece Such an excellent piece of writing. I was drawn in from the first word and held captive right til the end. Tasha and Levi hold a special place in my heart. I really enjoyed their story and the roller coaster they endured to be together. Characterisation is on point and the world building brilliant. The journey is far from over – I can’t wait to check out book two and get some more answers. Highly recommend this awesome series starter.

This is a book that needs and grabs your focus throughout. A great book that I would recommend to anyone who likes to be on edge and engrossed in the boom they are reading.

This book is an account of what any African American family may have, and likely did, face through the years. Through the use of family letters, the reader has a brief understanding of how things have changed and improved from generations ago. The book was impactful but also a quick read because I didn’t want to put it down. I felt like I had a brief glimpse into a family’s personal history during troubling times. Ultimately this book shows the progress we’ve made, which does not negate what still needs to come.

Betsy and Nash’s chance encounter and the possibilities for their relationship kept me coming back every time I put the book down. Debra Parmley found a way to leave me curious about how their relationship may or may not develop throughout the book. While Betsy and Nash were the main characters, Betsy’s sister played a large part in the story and I found myself questioning her character as much as Nash’s. A deeper look into the future for Betsy as well as Nash would have made the book even better, or perhaps they may resurface again in the future.

Bared. (A Green St. Girls Romance) by N.D. Jackson is a wonderfully written story that pulled me in from the beginning and I had a hard time putting it down. This will take you on one heck of an emotional rollercoaster ride some parts will make your heart hurt and you will definitely need kleenex. My emotions were all over the place with this story. This is a story about four women who were left alone at a young age. Athena has shut her heart off and doesn’t think she’s capable of love again. That’s untill Tru walks in. Can she give love another shot? Find out what happens next in this must read. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

Unbreakable is the first book in The Diamonds series by Tee Smith. This read is a contemporary romance and a bit of an emotional journey. It is full of sexual tension and drama, danger and horrible ex’s, violence and suspense, secrets and lies. The characters are nicely fleshed out and a little complex and there is a little mystery to keep things interesting. It started a little slow but soon found ground. Good girl meets bad boy, and it doesn’t matter what side of the tracks you are from, right or wrong, when love and the heart is involved. The only problem is that trouble will always follow you.

So Close: A Best Friends To Enemies to Lovers Romance (Love Grows Series Book 4) by Renee Regent is a contemporary romance. As with the other books in the series the story will find its way into your heart. This captivating tale is raw and has a real feel to the storyline. Archer and Zoe are very much a one of a kind couple! The chemistry and the passion will bring out the heat fast! Zoe is an intelligent, independent, and sexy heroine who is as fierce as her red hair! She is sent undercover as a translator to help Archer Blackwood, and uncover any possible enemies or threats lurking. Archer himself is a man who is intensely cold and ruthless with enough money to put anyone to shame. These 2 together navigate a path leading to danger, deception, and many hidden secrets that neither expect. This book was well written and was packed with suspense, adventure, steamy romance, and playful witty banter. Its #2 in a series, and is one that doesn’t disappoint.

Sam and Ellie tell stories that will break your heart. The story is told with 2 individuals too haunted by their demons to continue to fight until fate brings them together due to a misdial. As each background story is provided it pulls at your heart strings to know that such evil exists in the world. As Sam and Ellie begin to explore what could be with each other they end up in the hands of his father who is his darkest nightmare. This one mishap gives Sam and Ellie that pull to help the other want to live and overcome these dark battles as long as they come out the other side together. Its a dark and emotional story very well crafted but by no means for the faint of heart.

Bake Believe is an adorable story about a young girl going through crushes, school, family, and… something special. This book was definitely one of a kind. It’s a coming of age novel with a relatable young character and all of her friends and family. Read this if you like cute stories about young children figuring out where they are meant to be in life. The narrator is great and fits the story really well from a teens perspective.

I’m a baker and an avid romance reader. Total sucker for a cute romance story. Having lost a parent to cancer and knowing the struggles of carrying on a legacy I get what Elle was when she was just going through the motions of each day. The cute baking references mixed in with the magic of NYC almost gave me a Disney’s Enchanted vibe. If you need a cute and feel-good book to read on a trip or a beach day I highly recommend it. There are some dark spots in the book that I feel I should mention, if loss or taking care of a sick loved one is a trigger id proceed with caution, however, it’s an adorable book.

Dark Bastard: A Dark Sparrow Novel is the fifth book in the Bastard series by India Kells. These books keep getting better and better. Each brother’s story is a tale that needs to be told. Sam is in a dark place and when he accidentally calls the wrong number, Ellie gives him something to live for. As always it is great to see glimpses of the other brothers. I’m waiting with bated breath for November and the final book in this series……maybe……well a girl can hope maybe Ms. Kells will find a lost unknown brother out there. If you haven’t read any books in this series, I highly recommend you read them in order. You really don’t have to because each book features a new couple, but you would miss a bunch of the back story if you skipped any books. Besides they are all Five Star books. Review by @sunbarn

This is the second book in the Dark Sparrow series, but the first I have read by this author. India Kells spins an amazing story that draws you in from the beginning. This is the story of Zoe and Archer. Zoe has an amazing ability with languages and can pick them up without formal study. Archer is a businessman who is selling part of his business and needs assistance with some language barriers to make sure he is getting the best deal for him. What Archer doesn’t know is that Zoe is put in his path to help save him from a possible disastrous ending. Archer is very cold, and Zoe is a not part of his plan, but can they find love together with the danger that surrounds him? I love how Zoe is such a strong, independent, smart woman. She doesn’t run from danger. She wants to be an equal not to be saved. I am looking forward to the next installment!!

This is the third installment in the Dark Sparrow series and India Kells did not fail to deliver another incredible story! This is the story of Kai and Isabel. Kai and Isabel met years ago in Hawaii, fell in love, and Isabel just disappeared. Isabel is thrown back into Kai’s life as him and his bastard brothers are determined to take down his father. Isabel is a strong self-made woman but is terrified of Kai finding out all the secrets from her past. Their connection is still as strong as it was years ago in Hawaii, but can they survive the fight against Kai’s father? Can they survive each other finding out about their pasts? This author does a fantastic job drawing us into the story. Even though Kai and Isabel are the main focus, all the brothers make an appearance, yet the story is very balanced. I am ready for the next book!

Athena Montgomery is one of the Green Street girls. She and her friends have stood by each other through thick and thin since they all met at an apartment complex on Green Street in Chicago. They are family. Athena is a successful club manager and is worth millions. The only thing she has a problem doing is letting someone into her small circle.
Tru Blake is one of the players in the WPBA tournament that is being held at Shamrock. He is returning to Chicago after a long stint of being away from the city that created him. He’s learned a lot of tricks for playing pool since his younger days, but here he is back home and all he wants is to prove that he is the best.
Athena meets Tru at the Shamrock, the pool hall/bar that she purchased and pieced together in memory of her friend Charlie. Tru is a great male specimen, but Athena is only looking for something temporary. That is until the large wall around her heart begins to crumble.
ND Jackson has written a remarkable story involving two people who are running away from their pasts. Can Athena and Tru find something real in a future together?

The brothers feel that to take out their father, they need to stop the money. Catriona was asked by a mutual friend to help the family out. She is willing to risk her life to help them, Liam doesn’t want her to endanger her safety to do so. I love that these books are so interwoven and full of intrigue. There are so many twists and turns that are unexpected. Can Liam and Catriona also find love? Will they all come out unscathed after another run in with the bastards evil father? The fifth installment of the Dark Sparrow series did not disappoint. I am in love with these bastard brothers. This is Sam and Ellie’s story. Sam was a soldier, trained for danger. Ellie is a 911 operator. They had both made individual decisions to end their lives when Sam makes a call to Ellie by mistake. Hearing the sadness in her voice, he has to find out who she is and how to help her. Finding a way to be close to her also puts her in the most danger she has ever been in. Sam and Ellie both end up in the clutches of Sam’s disgusting father. Finding that they both come from childhoods that are far from even nice, can that bond them together to fight their way out of the situation they find themselves in? India Kells has a wonderful way with words that draws you in and keeps you intrigued to the last page. The epilogue for one book, is the prologue for the next, leaving you hungering for you next bastard brother fix. The women are strong, independent, and are not damsels in distress. Not only can they help save themselves; they kick ass doing it. Am absolutely in love with this author. Thank you, India Kells!

I really enjoyed this story. Its got a slight twist on a friends to lovers story because inbetween our couple goes from friends to enemies. The author does an amazing job with her characters that you can’t help falling in love with the pair of them. You can feel all the emotion and affection between them.
Levi and Dehlia were best friends. Always there for each other. Both had romantic feelings for the other but nothing came of it. Their friendship was really special until an event involving Dehlia’s ex husband torn them apart. Levi never got to explain his side of events and because of that Dehlia cut him off completely.
Now years later they are forced to work together on a project for Dehlia’s work. Dehlia is guarded and trying to protect herself and her heart but she can’t deny the feelings still run strong. Levi has never stopped loving her and is now making it his mission to prove to her how right they are for each other.
After so many heartbreaks can Dehlia let anyone in again? Will Levi be able to regain the trust he had with Dehlia or is the pain still to much for them both to heal.

“Bake Believe” has officially turned me on to audio books. It was such a cute story, and the way it was told really had your imagination running. The narrator made that story everything and more. I listened to it every chance I had, and the time fly by each chapter making it hard to believe it was as long as it was. The story starts with Cat who is newly entering 8th grade. Her and her cousin Robyn are excited for new electives, boys, and a great new year. First day of school she is put into an elective for culinary arts. New and unfamiliar because her mother does absolutely no cooking unless its frozen or pre-made its a new experience for her. She excited to bake and be with her classmates but soon starts to receive odd behavior from her mother who doesn’t want her to cook or take the class. As the story unfolds we learn that there are family secrets deep within Cats family, and while her aunt bakes with love and her mother scorns the kitchen as whole its Cat who we find with some extraordinary powers in the kitchen. Its a very fun story and each chapter ending provides a recipe related to the chapter. Kids and adults will appreciate this book!

This is Part 2 of Avenging Devil, a story from the San Diego Chapter of Manda Mellett’s Satan’s Devils MC series. It pretty much goes without saying, but you’re definitely going to want to read Part 1 first so go do that now and then come back to this book! Part 1 left me on such a cliff-hanger, I couldn’t WAIT to get started on Part 2. I couldn’t see how Niran and Saffie could possibly survive the situation they were in. And this book didn’t disappoint, resolving some things but then throwing curveballs and keeping the tension and the drama coming throughout. My favourite thing about this book is that the magnitude of the situation meant that all the Satan’s Devils chapters got involved. It’s great when so many of my favourite characters come together and interact with each other! I particularly enjoyed catching up with Swift, Cowboy and the rest of the Utah chapter. This is a dark and at times difficult book to read. Like Part 1, it addresses many sensitive and at times scary issues including racism, rape, PTSD and complications in pregnancy. The warmth and camaraderie of the Satan’s Devils helps to balance the darkness and provide a safe space for both the characters and readers to recover. For me, this is a five-star read. I’ve been thinking about the story constantly since I read Part 1, and found the conclusion very satisfying without being too predictable.
